Abstract

Human resources with enough competence and high motivation are necessary to improve the performance of SMEs. Compensation is one factor that influences competence and motivation. Compensation is a type of appreciation intended to provide feedback on the job performed by employees for a company, both financial and non-financial. As a result, SMEs require effective compensation management to boost employee competency and motivation. This study was carried out at the XYZ coffee shop in Depok with the goal of examining and enhancing the compensation management system at the XYZ coffee shop. This study's sample is the overall employee salary data for UKM Coffee shop XYZ, which has a total of 20 employees. Data collection techniques used are census techniques (non-probability sampling) and purposive sampling. This study employs descriptive statistical analytic methodologies, pay mapping, and point-based job values. According to the findings of this study, the XYZ coffee shop's financial compensation management system is not appropriate. The findings of the researchers' evaluation can be utilised by the management of the XYZ coffee shop to develop a more effective and optimum remuneration system. Abstract

Initiatives to restore the economy in Indonesia have continued after the COVID-19 pandemic. The decline in people's purchasing power due to the pandemic is a threat to companies. Therefore, the right strategy is needed to deal with this threat, including PT. Fatahillah Anugerah Nibras, which has been a company in the fashion sector since 2011. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the company's internal and external environment through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and SWOT analysis, formulate and assess the company's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). This study uses a quantitative approach, with primary data sourced from questionnaires and secondary data sourced from literature studies. The results of the analysis of the internal and external environment show that PT. Fatahillah Anugerah Nibras is in quadrant IV, which means that the company is in a period of growth and a strategy is needed to increase the business growth. Meanwhile, the results of the BSC analysis show that the majority of KPIs scores are in the good category, but there are still a number of things that need to be improved, especially from an internal business process and financial perspective. Therefore, by implementing several strategies that drive business growth and improve several aspects of internal and financial processes, it is hoped that the business will run more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

UKM berkontribusi terhadap PDB sebesar 61 persen, namun masih terdapat permasalahan pada UKM di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah kompensasi karyawan. Salah satu sektor UKM yang menghadapi permasalahan kompensasi adalah horeka (hotel, restoran, dan kafe). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa dan membenahi sistem kompensasi pada UKM OS menggunakan salary mapping dengan metode skala ganda berurutan dan skala ganda tumpang tindih. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara kepada pemilik UKM OS dengan sampel berupa data kompensasi karyawan UKM OS di cabang Sidoarjo dan Malang pada bulan Februari 2023. Metode pengolahan dan analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah salary mapping dengan pendekatan skala ganda berurutan dan skala ganda tumpang tindih. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) UKM OS belum melakukan pemetaan gaji; (2) Hampir semua karyawan di UKM OS memiliki gaji di bawah UMP dan UMR; (3) Sistem kompensasi pada UKM OS masih belum ideal berdasarkan spread dan mid-to-mid-nya; (4) Metode pembenahan gaji yang sesuai untuk UKM OS adalah metode skala ganda tumpang tindih; (5) Setelah pembenahan gaji, terdapat kenaikan biaya gaji sebesar 5,52 persen atau Rp 2.300.000,00. Implikasi penelitian ini bagi UKM adalah sebagai rekomendasi untuk mencapai keadilan internal dalam kompensasi guna meningkatkan motivasi dan kepuasan kerja karyawan.

Abstract

One function of human resource management that deals with all types of employee rewards in exchange for performing tasks is known as compensation. Cafe ABC is engaged in the culinary field which is located in the center of Bogor City. The purpose of this study is to analyze the compensation system for employees so that organizational productivity achieves goals effectively and efficiently. The research method used includes salary mapping with adhered and overlapping methods. The results obtained from this research are the adhered method is preferred over the overlapping method at Cafe ABC.

Abstract

UKM XYZ does not yet have a wage structure and scale for its employees. The wage structure and scale must be owned by every entrepreneur. This is stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2017 concerning Wage Structure and Scale. This study aims to develop the structure and scale of wages in XYZ SMEs. This study uses the Eckenrode weighting method with 10 compensation factors which are suitable for use in determining compensation. The data used are primary data relating to compensation factors, compensation sub-factors, the weight assessment of each sub-factor, as well as each employee's assessment of the sub-factors obtained through interviews and discussions with the owner. Secondary data is in the form of supporting data obtained through scientific articles that are related to the research topic. In this study, there are 3 main criteria that refer to the Hay System position evaluation method, namely knowledge, problem solving, and accountability. Based on the weighting calculation that has been done, the results of the weight and priority level for each compensation factor are obtained. UKM XYZ has 47 employees with a total salary of IDR 97,350,000. By using this Eckenrode weighting method, there is an increase in the percentage of salaries in UKM XYZ by 24% or around IDR 24,145,120. So that the total salary of its employees reaches IDR 121,495,120.

Abstract

The compensation system is an important component of an organization in optimizing employee performance and job satisfaction. Based on this, a research was conducted on the ABC Shop located in Bogor City. The sample in this study is the entire ABC Shop employee salary data with a total of 23 employees. This study aims to evaluate and improve Kedai ABC's compensation system. Source of data obtained from primary data and secondary data. The primary data collection technique was carried out through distributing questionnaires and direct interviews with the General Manager of the ABC Shop. While secondary data obtained from literature study. Compensable factors are determined using the hay system approach, job grading is determined using a given grade, and salary structure is using the point system method. The results of this study indicate that the basic salary of Kedai ABC after improvement is still below the minimum wage. However, the salary intervals at each level are not too far apart or close together. This is in accordance with the point system method so that this method can be used to determine the wages of the employees of the ABC Store ideally.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in contributing to the economy, with the potential to sustain and drive national economic growth. Among the various industries within the SME sector, the culinary sector is often chosen by SME entrepreneurs. Within SMEs, human resources hold significant importance. The effectiveness of employees in fulfilling their responsibilities within the organization is vital for ensuring smooth business operations. Establishing a robust compensation system is of utmost importance for Indonesian SMEs. A well-designed, adequate, and equitable compensation system is necessary to appropriately recognize employees' contributions to the organization. This research aims to identify the existing compensation system, analyze the underlying factors influencing payroll decisions, and evaluate the ideal salary system for implementation. Primary and secondary data sources are utilized in this research. A nonprobability sampling method, specifically census sampling, is employed. The point system method and simple linear regression analysis are utilized to analyze the data. The factors influencing salary determination at SME XYZ are ranked in order of significance as follows: Responsibility for Records and Reports, Job Complexity, Decision Making, Customer Service Orientation, Responsibility for Equipment, Communication, Initiative, Working Conditions, Experience, and Education. The recommended payroll structure for implementation at SME XYZ is the non-classification payroll structure. This structure offers benefits such as simplified job clustering and improved accuracy in employee career development.

Abstract

The Campaka spring is one of the water sources used by the community in Drawati for consumption and agriculture. Since 2018, it has several problems: garbage which hinders irrigation and water quality decreases, the lack of awareness and knowledge of the local community and managers. Based on this background, the SMAJA program was initiated and implemented with the objectives of (1) increasing public awareness and knowledge through imah cai pancarama adopted from the house model; (2) Strategies and recommendations to sustainability of the SMAJA program. The method used is the kaizen method which consists of seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke. The collaboration of three techniques, namely counseling, training and mentoring. The number of target involved was 12 people but some activities could be attended by more than 40 people. The results are an increase in test scores of knowledge and concern. The value of knowledge from the original 2.00 to 3.70 on a scale of 1-5 and the value of concern for interests from 4.58 to 4.90 which was also measured from action from 2.50 to 3.80. The sustainability is formed in a quadruple helix.

Abstract

An effective compensation system plays an important role in human resource management because it can help attract and retain employees who perform their jobs well. A good compensation system for SMEs can be measured by the compensation provided, while paying attention to the District/City Minimum Wage (UMK) and Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in each region. The research object of this journal is XYZ UKM, which is a UKM engaged in the field of Food and Beverage. With the distinctive taste of tea connoisseurs and customer-friendly service, XYZ UKM sells contemporary beverage products with a variety of flavors and affordable prices. The purpose of this research is to identify the condition of the compensation system that is applied, identify compensable factors to be analyzed, and analyze the ideal compensation system. Primary data collection techniques include direct interviews with three leaders and the distribution of questionnaires to company employees. This research is a quantitative and qualitative study, describing and evaluating the compensation system implemented at PT XYZ with the eckenrode method.
