Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem kompensasi pada Restoran XYZ, sebuah usaha menengah di sektor makanan dan minuman yang telah beroperasi selama 10 tahun. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah analisis dan pembenahan struktur gaji menggunakan metode adhered dan overlapping, dengan tujuan menciptakan sistem kompensasi yang adil dan efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja karyawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik, manajer, dan karyawan, serta analisis literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur gaji awal UKM ini memiliki beberapa kelemahan, termasuk distribusi gaji yang tidak merata dan beberapa gaji karyawan yang berada di bawah upah minimum provinsi. Dua metode pembenahan gaji diterapkan dan dianalisis, menunjukkan bahwa metode overlapping lebih disarankan karena menawarkan peningkatan biaya gaji yang lebih efisien dan distribusi gaji yang lebih merata antar karyawan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi manajerial penting bagi Restoran XYZ untuk merevisi struktur gaji mereka, dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan karyawan, mengurangi ketidakpuasan terhadap remunerasi, dan pada akhirnya mendukung peningkatan kinerja keseluruhan usaha. Rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan bagi UKM serupa dalam mengelola sistem kompensasi yang efektif dan adil.

Abstract

Sistem kompensasi merupakan hal yang penting bagi sebuah perusahaan. Sistem kompensasi yang tidak sesuai merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) di Indonesia. Hal ini dapat berdampak negatif pada kualitas dan motivasi karyawan dalam bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi sistem manajemen kompensasi yang ada pada UKM kuliner XYZ di Kabupaten Nganjuk, Jawa Timur berdasarkan prinsip 3P (Pay for Position, Person, dan Performance). Selain itu, penelitian ini juga hasil evaluasi yang digunakan dengan metode adhered dan overlapping yang akan menjadi bahan perbandingan untuk menentukan sistem kompensasi ideal untuk diterapkan di UKM XYZ sesuai dengan kemampuan UKM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan cara wawancara mendala secara virtual dengan owner UKM kuliner XYZ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UKM XYZ belum tepat dalam mengimplementasikan sistem kompensasinya. Sehingga kompensasi yang diterima belum ideal atau tidak sesuai dengan yang seharusnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan evaluasi, sistem kompensasi menggunakan metode overlapping lebih disarankan karena memberikan hasil yang ideal dan komprehensif dengan kenaikan persentase 5,52% dari gaji aktualnya.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia from early 2020 to 2023 resulted in an unstable economy. However, the Indonesian economy was supported by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). The industry contributing the highest to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) among UMKMs was the Food and Beverage Industry. Based on this, there was a need for the enhancement of UMKM quality, not only in terms of sales but also in managerial systems, including compensation. Government Regulation No. 1 of 2017 mandated that every business must have a Pay Structure and Scale. This research aimed to analyze the Pay Structure and Scale of Culinary Micro and Small Businesses using the dual point method. The research was conducted from January to August 2023 in the Cibinong District, Bogor Regency. The existing Pay Structure and Scale were not ideal; improvement was necessary. The research results showed that each Small Business was already paying its employees in accordance with the Recommended Pay Structure and Scale, thereby eliminating the need for additional wage operational costs. Apart from the Pay Structure and Scale, Micro and Small Businesses could also enhance their quality and competitiveness through internal fairness by implementing the 3P concept (Pay for Person, Pay for Position, Pay for Performance) and external fairness through the attract, retain, engage approach. Abstract

SMEs face various challenges because human resources are the main asset in their operations. One important aspect of human resource management is appropriate compensation. SME XYZ is an SME engaged in the food and beverage (F&B) sector. This study evaluates the compensation system at SME XYZ. The methods used for evaluating the compensation system at SME XYZ are the adhered method and the overlapping method. This research is expected to provide new insights for SME XYZ owners in Bekasi City as an evaluation material for their compensation system. Based on the calculations of both methods, it is found that the compensation at SME XYZ is currently considered ideal as it falls within the specified range and meets the criteria

Abstract

Preschool education, or PAUD, is how early childhood education is carried out in Indonesia for children ages 0 to 6. The shortage of qualified and sufficient early childhood education teachers has hampered the development of early childhood education in Indonesia. A PAUD, or professional development program for early childhood educators, is one remedy. Several parties have arranged a number of training programs, but they are still operating independently and without incorporating all current stakeholders. All academic and governmental stakeholders are included in the training program SEED, which is run by the Management Department of IPB University. This study's objectives were to assess the SEED 2021 program's effectiveness as well as the sustainability implementation and strategy.

Abstract

SMEs in Indonesia play a role in driving the Indonesian economy with a contribution of 61 per cent to the Gross Domestic Product. However, SMEs in Indonesia often have problems in employee compensation. One of the SME sectors that face compensation problems is horeka (hotels, restaurants, and cafes). The purpose of this study is to analyse and determine the ideal compensation and job grading at SME X. Data collection in this study was conducted through interviews with the owner of SME X in February 2024. The data processing and analysis method used in this research is the point factor method. The results of this study indicate that: (1) SME X has not done salary mapping; (2) The compensation system at SME X is still not ideal based on its spread and mid-to-mid; (3) The appropriate salary improvement method for SME X is the point factor method.

Abstract

Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) telah menjadi tulang punggung perekonomian di Indonesia dengan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) nasional dan penyerapan tenaga kerja yang tinggi. Namun, UKM sering menghadapi tantangan kompleks dalam mengelola kompensasi bagi karyawan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem kompensasi finansial pada UKM XYZ dengan menggunakan analisis pemetaan gaji, metode adhered dan overlapping. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dengan owner UKM XYZ. Fokus utama adalah pada analisis struktur kompensasi karyawan dan efektivitas manajemen kompensasi dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kepuasan kerja Dengan mengambil kasus UKM di Kota Tanjung Balai, Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) UKM XYZ belum melakukan pemetaan gaji secara resmi; (2) Hanya 3 karyawan yang menerima gaji di atas UMP Sumatera Utara dan UMK Kota Tanjung Balai; (3) Sistem kompensasi UKM XYZ masih belum ideal dari segi spread dan mid-to-mid; (4) Untuk UKM XYZ metode pembenahan gaji yang sesuai adalah metode overlapping; (5) Setelah melakukan penyesuaian gaji, biaya gaji meningkat sebesar Rp3,918,965 atau 9.95%. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk pembenahan sistem kompensasi yang lebih ideal, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan kepuasan karyawan pada UKM XYZ.

Abstract

Restaurant X is a small and medium enterprises (SME) engaged in the food and beverage sector by offering a variety of Indonesian food menu. SMEs have three main roles, namely as a means to improve the welfare of employees and the community, leveling the economic level of smallholders, and providing foreign exchange to the state. SME efforts as a means to improve the welfare of employees is through the evaluation of compensation. By providing better compensation, employees will be motivated to create a positive and productive work environment. Compensation evaluation is done by identifying the initial salary structure in SME, then analyzed to improve compensation using overlapping, adhered and factor points methods. The analysis showed that the most optimal method is overlapping, with a total salary of Rp137, 224, 291 from the previous Rp129, 850, 000. By using the overlapping method, SME experienced a salary increase of 5.68% or Rp7,374,297.

Abstract

The role of Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) is very large for Indonesia's growth. The contribution of SMEs to GDP also reached 60.5 percent and to labor absorption was 96.9 percent of national labor absorption. However, the issue of ideal salaries is still a problem for SMEs in Indonesia, especially due to the influence of certain conditions, both environmental and internal. One of the SMEs that is facing problems with the compensation system is SME XYZ. The aim of this research is to analyze and determine compensation that is in accordance with ideal job grading in UKM XYZ. Data collection in this research was carried out through interviews with the owners of UKM XYZ in February 2024. The data processing methods used in this research were the adhered or overlapping and overlapping methods. The results of this research show that: (1) The compensation system in SME XYZ is still not fair and ideal based on the spread when compared to the minimum wage; (2) An appropriate and effective method for improving salaries for UKM XYZ is to use overlapping calculations.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a significant role in Indonesia's economic growth, contributing 60.5 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 96.9 percent to national employment. However, SMEs in Indonesia face strategic management challenges, particularly in formulating ideal goals and missions, influenced by both internal and external conditions. This study aims to analyze and determine the ideal strategic management for XYZ SME, which is one of the SMEs experiencing such issues. Data collection was conducted through interviews with the owner of XYZ SME in February 2024. The data processing methods used in this study include the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, as well as the BalancedScorecard. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the strategic management of XYZ SME is not yet ideal based on the determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); (2) the appropriate and ef ective strategic management improvement method for XYZ SME involves using the IFE and EFE matrices and the Balanced Scorecard, resulting in a strategic map as the output.
