Abstract

Indonesian cooks is a kind of job that has a great potential to be developed, considering the high enthusiasm for Indonesian dishes in Malaysia and the popularity of Indonesian food in the world. This research aims to analyze the condition of compensation system currently applied to Indonesian Migrant Workers at cooks job cluster in Kuala Lumpur, as well as to identify the compensable factors, and to analyze the ideal compensation system. Data used in this research are primary data (questionnaire) and secondary data (literature study). This research used descriptive analysis, salary mapping analysis, point system method, and linear regression test in order to process the data. Result of the research shows (1) The evaluation result of Indonesian Migrant Cooks’ salary distribution has not been ideal entirely; (2) Compensable factors that used are knowledge and skill, organizational capabilities, self reliance, self presentation, responsibility of supervising, responses to critics, and the influence of work result; (3) The ideal compensation system for Indonesian Migrant Cooks in KL is non classification system based on Hay Plan Method, which the required funding is more efficient with amount RM 4,036.99 or about Rp.12,918,368.00.Keywords: Compensation System, Indonesian migrant workers

Abstract

The basics of human resource management are important for students who are about to enter the world of work. COIL Course: Fundamentals of Human Resources Management (HRM) as one of the Virtual Exchange activities provides students with an understanding of material about HRM. The COIL program is organized by the Management Department of FEM IPB University in collaboration with the University of Malaysia Sabah. To improve the quality of the program, it is necessary to evaluate the program by analyzing the implementation and evaluating the effectiveness of the program. This study used 59 respondents, as well as using primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data in the form of literature studies. The research methods are descriptive analysis, gap analysis, Net Promoter Score and SIPOC diagram. At the reaction level, the participants' perceptions of the program were very high. At the learning level, it shows an increase in participants’ knowledge. At the behavior level, participants are interested in working in the HR field. At the outcome level, the majority of participants recommend the program. Therefore, this program has been running effectively.

Abstract

Microsoft Office Translator This study aims to analyze the compensation system in XYZ SMEs based on overlapping methods. The research method used is to collect data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that XYZ SME entrepreneurs still use an improper compensation system. As a result, the compensation received by workers is not proportional to the performance already produced. The compensation system used by XYZ SMEs is an overlapping method with several performance appraisal indicators. However, there are some shortcomings to this system such as lack of flexibility in assessing the performance of employees who have different duties and responsibilities. This study also analyzed overlapping methods for compensation systems in XYZ SMEs. This method can provide a more comprehensive and holistic picture of performance to employees. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that adjustments need to be made so that the compensation system in XYZ SMEs can better suit the needs and characteristics of employees and organizations

Abstract

Sistem kompensasi adalah sebuah strategi yang digunakan oleh sebuah organisasi untuk memberikan gaji, tunjangan, bonus, dan penghargaan lainnya kepada karyawan sebagai bentuk penghargaan atas kinerja mereka. Namun, seringkali UMKM mengalami kendala dalam mengelola keuangan dan sumber daya manusia, termasuk dalam hal memberikan kompensasi kepada karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) membandingkan ump dan umk terhadap gaji karyawan (2) mengembangkan job grading dan job value bagi karyawan UMKM ADSO berdasarkan compensable factor menurut jurnal ilmiah (3) mengevaluasi perbaikan sistem kompensasi yang tepat dan efektif untuk diterapkan di UMKM ADSO. Data dalam penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif, data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dan hasil kuesioner serta data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi literatur dan laporan terkait. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemetaan gaji yang dianut, dan pemetaan gaji yang tumpang tindih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 faktor yang dapat dikompensasikan yang menjadi faktor penilaian pekerjaan yang menjadi dasar pemberian kompensasi. Semua faktor dibagi menjadi 3 bagian menurut metode Hay, yaitu know-how, pemecahan masalah, dan akuntabilitas. Hasil desain reformasi gaji yang telah didapatkan dapat digunakan sebagai sistem penggajian baru perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemetaan gaji yang dianut, dan pemetaan gaji yang tumpang tindih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 faktor yang dapat dikompensasikan yang menjadi faktor penilaian pekerjaan yang menjadi dasar pemberian kompensasi. Semua faktor dibagi menjadi 3 bagian menurut metode Hay, yaitu know-how, pemecahan masalah, dan akuntabilitas. Abstract

Restoran XYZ merupakan UKM yang bergerak di bidang Food and Beverage (F&B) yang berlokasi di Kota Bogor, Jawa Barat. Restoran ini menyajikan berbagai jenis makanan dan minuman khas Yaman, Melayu, dan Aceh. Salah satu bentuk penyejahteraan karyawan adalah dengan memberikan kompensasi, sehingga perusahaan perlu merencanakan sasaran strategisnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang digunakan sebagai dasar penetapan gaji, mengevaluasi jabatan, dan membuat pemetaan gaji yang ideal untuk diimplementasikan pada restoran XYZ. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis dengan metode dua titik. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi dasar dari penetapan gaji antara lain pendidikan formal, pengalaman kerja, self presentation, usaha fisik, kondisi kerja, tanggung jawab terhadap material dan produk, kompleksitas kerja, analisis dan pemecahan masalah, decision making, dan keterampilan berkomunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa restoran XYZ belum memiliki pemetaan gaji yang ideal. Dengan menggunakan metode dua titik, diperoleh pemetaan gaji yang ideal untuk diterapkan oleh restoran XYZ dengan mengelompokkan gaji karyawan menjadi lima grade.

Abstract

Every company has an obligation to provide wages to employees in accordance with the provisions. The provision of wages according to the standard aims to ensure that workers earn an income that can meet the needs of a decent life. The compensation system is considered important in an organization because it has a direct impact on employee motivation and performance. This study aims to assess the compensation system in UKM XYZ in Cilegon City, which is engaged in the culinary sector, and provide recommendations for improving the compensation system. The methods used in this study are determining job value based on compensation factors using the Hay method, determining job grading using the given grade and minimum maximum methods, and salary mapping using the two-point method. The results obtained from this study indicate that the compensation system in the form of salary at UKM XYZ is still not ideal because it is below the minimum wage and there is no job grading determination yet. There are ten compensable factors needed in determining the compensation system for UKM XYZ. Improvements were made by calculating job values and dividing job titles into four grades. Based on salary mapping for a more ideal compensation system, the results show that salary mapping using the two-point method can be considered by SMEs for future implementation because it already meets the minimum wage and is adjusted to the budget of UKM XYZ.

Abstract

Compensation is one important factor that can motivate employees to improve performance. The compensation given by the company must be commensurate with the company's workload, job risks, and the competencies that accompany the position. The company is obliged to provide both financial and non-financial compensation so that the employees' standard of living needs (KHL) can be met. Therefore, it is necessary to design an appropriate compensation system based on job value. The object of this research is UKM Catering located in Bekasi City. UKM Catering is engaged in the culinary field, which focuses on the catering sector. The research methods used are quantitative and qualitative methods based on trusted scientific journals and articles. This research focuses on the compensation system and standard of living needs of UKM Catering employees. The data processing and analysis method used to develop a job value-based compensation system and job grading in Catering UKM is using Compensable Factors analysis using Adhered Salary Mapping, Salary Mapping Overlapping. The results of this study indicate that an effective compensation system to be implemented by Catering UKM is by using the Overlapping method. This is because the overlapping method of salary distribution is more profitable because the salary increase is not as big as the adhered method.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu cara berkomunikasi di era modern saat ini. Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris dapat membantu berkomunikasi karena ini merupakan bahasa komunikasi utama di dunia. Meskipun Indonesia memiliki bahasa ibu sendiri yaitu bahasa Indonesia, memberi pengetahuan berbahasa Inggris sedini mungkin merupakan salah satu bentuk pengembangan diri. Program Situgede Summer School (3S) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengenalan bahasa Inggris kepada anak-anak, terutama untuk mereka yang belum mendapatkan porsi pengetahuan berbahasa Inggris dengan baik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara tatap muka selama dua minggu dengan pembawaan yang menarik dan menyenangkan dengan bantuan mitra, sehingga dalam proses belajar anak-anak cenderung lebih menikmati pembelajaran dibandingkan tertekan. Evaluasi yang dilakukan pada akhir pertemuan menggambarkan keberhasilan program kerja Situgede Summer School (3S).

Abstract

Stunting menjadi permasalahan yang cukup membutuhkan perhatian yang khusus. Curug Mekar menjadi salah satu wilayah kota bogor yang mempunyai kasus stunting sebesar 20 kasus. Zero stunting (penghilangan kasus stunting) menjadi tujuan utama yang harus dicapai, maka diperlukan suatu inovasi pencegahan yaitu pelaksanaan sosialisasi “Genting Mekar”. Tujuan dari sosialisasi ini adalah (a) meningkatkan pola pikir masyarakat mengenai stunting dengan pendekatan multidisiplin; (b) memperdalam ilmu dan keterampilan pada masyarakat dengan berbasis ipteks dalam mencegah stunting; (c) meningkatkan kolaborasi antar mitra dan kader lingkungan dalam pencegahan stunting. Metode Program terdiri atas pendataan posyandu RW01 dan RW02, seminar sosialisasi terkait pencegahan stunting, pemberian MPASI dan paket kesehatan hygiene gigi yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan anak terkait. Hasil dari kegiatan berupa catatan pendataan kesehatan anak di Kelurahan Curug Mekar, terlaksananya seminar pencegahan stunting dengan kolaborasi 20 peserta dan 10 mitra, serta pembagian paket makanan dan Kesehatan sehingga kegitana “Genting Mekar” efektif dilakukan untuk mencegah stunting

Abstract

Purpose – This paper seeks to analyze the implementation and evaluate the effectiveness of the 2nd batch of Bright Cube programs. Methodology/approach – A survei from 246 participants of Bright Cube 2nd batch program. This research method includes a descriptive analysis, gap analysis, Return on Training Investment (ROTI) analysis, nad Net Promoter Score (NPS). Primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data in the form of literature studies. Findings – It was found that the implementation of the program has referred to the main performance indicators of MBKM. At the reaction level, participants' perceptions of the program were high. At the learning level, it has reached the online marketing design competency unit. At the behavioral level, participants are interested in becoming entrepreneurs. At the outcome level, the majority of participants recommended the program. ROTI result is positive. Improvements are needed regarding funding, program schedules, and intensity of activities. Therefore, this program has been running effectively. Novelty/value – As creating entrepreneurs is a solution to overcome the high unemployment rate in Indonesia. Bright Cube as one of entrepreneurial incubators, which is organized by the Management Department of IPB University, has integrated all stakeholders and part of MBKM (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka).
