Abstract

One of the key factors influencing an economy's development is entrepreneurship. Students are supposed to gain knowledge and refine their entrepreneurship abilities at universities. The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether the state Islamic University of Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship curriculum is successful in producing new Sharia entrepreneurs. A sample of 61 Bachelor S1 students enrolled in the Sharia Business Management Study program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung participated in this quantitative research study. SEM analysis utilising intelligent PLS software is the data analysis method employed in this investigation. Probability sampling is the sampling technique employed in this investigation. The study's findings suggest that UIN Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship education is effective since it significantly and favourably influences students' interest in and capacity for sharia-based entrepreneurship at S1 UIN Raden Intan Lampung with Sharia Business Management Study program. The findings of this study are consistent with Ajzen and Fishbein's (1985) Theory of Planned Behaviour, which holds that training and education pertaining to entrepreneurship can be considered effective if there is a positive correlation between the development of intentions and an increase in ability and success in entrepreneurship. The focus on Sharia features or Islamic economic principles in entrepreneurship, which influence people's interest and aptitude for entrepreneurship, is where this study differs from earlier research.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Barito Utara Regency in regulating campaign materials (APK) during the 2024 regional elections (Pilkada) in Muara Teweh City. The widespread use of APKs often leads to environmental and aesthetic concerns, particularly due to their placement in locations that violate existing regulations. Bawaslu Barito Utara holds the authority to monitor and enforce the proper installation of APKs in accordance with the regulations set by the General Elections Commission (KPU) and Bawaslu itself. However, this study identifies several challenges, including limited resources, inadequate coordination with relevant stakeholders, and the ineffective implementation of sanctions. The research employs an empirical legal method using a socio-legal approach, involving observation, interviews with key stakeholders, and analysis of legal documents. The findings indicate that although Bawaslu has carried out supervisory duties, its effectiveness remains hindered by structural and operational factors. The study recommends strengthening Bawaslu’s institutional capacity, particularly in terms of resources, and improving regulations to enable more effective law enforcement in future elections. These findings are expected to contribute to the enhancement of democratic processes and electoral governance in Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze the effect of exchange rates (CURS), gross domestic product (GDP), and foreign investment (FDI) on Indonesia's intra-industry trade with 5 trading partner countries in the ASEAN region. This study uses panel data from 5 ASEAN countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines) with a purposive sampling method. This type of research uses a quantitative approach, obtained from secondary sources and data analysis using the Eviews10 tool. The results of the study show. The exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's Intra-industry Trade. GDP has a negative and significant effect on Indonesia's Intra-industry Trade. FDI has a positive and insignificant effect on Indonesia's Intra-industry Trade. Exchange Rate, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Foreign Investment (FDI) simultaneously affect Indonesia's Intra-industry Trade.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of tourist facilities and price on customer satisfaction at Gubak Hills, with service quality as a moderating variable. Utilizing a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, the research involved 108 tourists who have visited Gubak Hills and reside in Bandar Lampung. Data was collected through questionnaires, and Smart PLS was used for structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that tourist facilities positively influence service quality, which significantly moderates the relationship between facilities and customer satisfaction. Similarly, price has a positive effect on customer satisfaction, with service quality enhancing the relationship between price and satisfaction. However, the study acknowledges limitations due to reliance on subjective perceptions, which may introduce bias and affect data accuracy. These insights are valuable for tourism managers seeking to improve visitor experiences and satisfaction at Gubak Hills.

Abstract

The mining industry occupies a pivotal position in the global economy, particularly in terms of supplying indispensable raw materials. A primary challenge confronting this industry is the imperative to preserve the reliability and operational efficiency of equipment, notably electric motors utilized in cone crusher machinery. The presence of overload and overcurrent issues in motors has the potential to induce operational disruptions, a decline in efficiency, and the prospect of irreversible damage. This research endeavors to optimize the overload and overcurrent protection system on the cone crusher motor to enhance operational efficiency at PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara. The proposed methodology involves the utilization of MATLAB Simulink software, employing models of "Asynchronous Machine," "Thermal Overload Relay," and "Overcurrent Relay." The simulation results, as depicted by MATLAB Simulink, reveal that the initial start-up current reaches 988.86 A at 0.01 seconds, subsequently stabilizing within the range of 80-121 A. This value exceeds the nominal capacity of the motor, which can lead to overheating and increased operational costs. Subsequent to optimization through the resetting of the protection parameters, including adjustments to the pickup current and time-current curve, the risk of unnecessary trips can be mitigated.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of wind power plants and the application of Emergency Demand Response (EDRP) in the Unit Commitment (UC) problem in the electric power system, by utilizing the Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) method. The UC problem focuses on optimal scheduling of generating units to meet load requirements with minimum operating costs. However, the intermittent characteristics of wind energy cause significant uncertainty in the scheduling process. Therefore, EDRP is applied as an adaptive strategy to change the load demand pattern dynamically, so as to improve system reliability and reduce dependence on conventional generators. This study aims to develop and implement an optimization method usingBinary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) Algorithm in determining unit commitment scenarioin the electric power system involvingDistributed Energy Resources (DERs), in order to improve operational efficiency and reliability of the power system. This type of research issimulation-based experimental quantitative research.  Population: Electric power systems with DERs that have various load profiles and generating unit characteristics.Sample: A standard distribution system or test case system (e.g. IEEE 30-bus or hypothetical system) modified to include DERs such as PV (photovoltaic), microturbines, and energy storage (batteries). The data collection method is done by software simulation (e.g. MATLAB or Python) to generate load data, DER capacity, and system parameters. The Data Analysis Method Used isComputational Analysis. The simulation results show that the implementation of the fourth scenario results in lower generation costs and improves the operational efficiency of the system, indicating the potential for integrating demand strategies and renewable energy sources in modern power systems. The implications of this study can be used as a reference forshort term operational planning in spower system with high DER penetration.
