Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is a nutritional problem in pregnant women which is still a nutritional problem in the world. Efforts made to improve the nutrition of pregnant women with CED are by providing additional food. Purpose: to determine the relationship between the supplementary feeding program and chronic energy deficiency pregnant women (KEK). Method: this research uses literature review by collecting articles according to the topic and purpose of writing obtained from various journal databases. The study was carried out by analyzing scientific articles obtained from the Google Scholar and Scopus electronic databases with inclusion criteria, 2013-2023, Indonesian and English. The research article analysis technique is in a table format containing the author, title, year, method (design, sample and analysis), and results. Result: the research results obtained 10 articles using the PICO formulation. Based on the 10 research articles obtained, it shows that giving supplementary feeding programs (PMT) to pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency (KEK) has an effect on increasing total energy intake, nutritional status, body weight, increasing upper arm circumference (LILA), decreasing malondialdehyde levels. , lack of vitamin A and babies with KEK mothers who consume PMT are born normally, do not experience LBW (Low Birth Weight Babies). This literature review study is expected to be a reference, especially in the field of public health.

Abstract

Background: Maintaining physical distance, washing hands, and wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic are very important in preventing the spread of the virus. However, although the use of facemasks is relatively easy to do, its compliance is considered low. Objective: This study aimed to analyze compliance in wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 400 residents in Palembang, Indonesia, selected using simple random sampling from August to September 2021. Data were collected using online questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square, and multivariate using logistic regression. Results: The findings revealed that sex, education, and employment status were significant relationships to compliance to wearing masks (p<0.05), but age and family income were not significantly related (p>0.05). Multivariate analysis showed only perceived severity and cues to action had a significant relationship with compliance to wearing masks after it was controlled by the sex variable (p<0.05), with PR of 0.558 (95% CI 0.331-0.941) and 0.410 (95% CI 0.242-0.696), consecutively. Conclusion: Perceived severity and cues to action are factors that influence compliance to wearing masks. Therefore, these two factors should be considered by public health practitioners as well as the government to increase the compliance wearing masks.

Abstract

AbstractCurrently, health problems in Indonesia are referred to as a double burden of disease because it is dominated by the development of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and on the other hand the incidence of infectious diseases that still occur. One of the strategic issues in the 2030 SDGs that must be a development priority in every country that requires cooperation in handling cross-sectors is NCDs, so a community-based NCDs control model is developed through Posbindu as a form of community participation as an effort to control risk factors independently and continuously. The role and function of Posbindu cadres are important as executors of NCDs risk factor control for the community. Therefore, to maximize the role of cadres in Posbindu, the Faculty of Public Health, University of Sriwijaya, empowers the Posbindu community through Posbindu cadres so that they can become self-reliant for the community to live healthily by increasing the capacity of Posbindu cadres. The community service team wanted to determine the effect of providing education and training to cadres on the knowledge and skills of Posbindu cadres in Bangun Jaya Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. The method used in this service is the education and training of 15 health cadres. Measurement of knowledge is done by using a questionnaire (pretest and posttest). The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the knowledge and skills scores of cadres regarding Posbindu after education and intervention. However, there were also those with a fixed score. Continuous training is needed to improve cadres skills and optimize the community's active participation through Posbindu cadres. Keywords: Cadres, Posbindu, NCDs, Knowledge, Skills

Abstract

Stunting has become a global health phenomenon that occurs in several countries around the world. The problem of stunted linear growth during the first 1,000 days of an infant's life has garnered much attention. Many studies have been conducted to eliminate the high prevalence of stunting. The government has decided to overcome this infant health problem by appointing several target. The National Strategy Plans to Accelerate Stunting Prevention have been carried out by prioritising the interventions of sensitive nutrition. Some interventions are being worked on including behaviour change. This intervention is in line with the 5 pillars of stunting prevention: the national campaign and change of behaviour. The behaviour change will be carried out deeply to discover some reasons that motivate the change of behaviour, clean water and latrines sanitation, exclusive breastfeeding, food parenting, health workers, posyandu cadres and stake holders. Behaviour change in a community will encounter many obstacles due to economic, traditional and sociocultural differences. This implicity means that the role of posyandu cadres among the communities is needed. Improving the function and activeness of posyandu cadres is an urgent step that must be taken immediately. Because no matter how many health workers are deployed in the field, they will not be able to get rid of the role of posyandu cadres who daily deal directly with the community and live in it and understand the sociocultural ins and outs of the community in their area of responsibility. Posyandu cadres are also part of an activity that includes many things that affect their performance and activity. The following article is a systematic review to look for behaviour change efforts that should be carried out immediately in the prevention of stunting.

Abstract

Fraud in the national health insurance is a form of deliberate effort to create a benefit that should not be enjoyed by individuals or institutions and could harm other parties. This study aims to further analyze the potential for fraud in the implementation of national health insurance at health facilities. The method used a systematic review based on PRISMA with a qualitative approach through descriptive analysis. The articles selection based on the specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study found that the potential for fraud can occur in the primary care health facilities (FKTP) and secondary care health facilities (FKRTL) in the form of potency such as inappropriate capitation fund management, maximizing the number of claims, upcoding, dissatisfaction with the salaries received, and inadequate internal controlling/supervision. As the conclusion of this study, the potential fraud in the implementation of national health insurance in Indonesia occurs in the primary care health facilities (FKTP) and secondary care health facilities (FKRTL). The prevention of potential fraud can be done by implementing the principles of Corporate Governance and the implementation of fraud prevention based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 16 of 2019.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by multiple factors and is intergenerational. The incidence of stunting shows the problem of chronic malnutrition and occurs at the age of toddlers. Monitoring the growth of children under five is very important to detect growth faltering at an early stage. To determine this growth, weighing toddlers every month is very necessary. Anthropometric measurements are usually carried out by cadres at the Posyandu. However, the cadres cannot monitor the growth of toddlers either through anthropometric measurements (weight and height) or by filling out the KMS. This is because most of the cadres have never received training on anthropometric measurements and filling in the KMS. The results of this activity showed that most of the cadres experienced an increase in scores before and after the training, namely an increase in nutritional knowledge (54.3%), anthropometric measurements (78.2%), and KMS filling (58.7%). Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test showing a p value of 0.000 < 0.005, there is a difference in knowledge scores before and after the intervention, both knowledge of nutrition, anthropometric measurements of toddlers and filling KMS increases. It can be concluded that this cadre training activity was quite successful, seen from the results of the frequency distribution obtained and the results of statistical tests. It is necessary to carry out regular training related to monitoring the growth and reading of KMS, especially if there is a change of cadres.
