Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence resulting from the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the creative thinking abilities of grade 5 students at SD N Karanganyar Gunung 02 Semarang. Research method used The research method used in this research is a Quasi Experimental method. This experimental research was carried out by providing treatment to two experimental groups with the same level of ability in the form of learning techniques and models. The population of this study were 5th grade students at SDN Karanganyar Gunung 2 Semarang. Thesample of this research was 28 grade 5 students. Data collection techniques were tests, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are validation tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T-tests. The results of the research showed that the PBL learning model can influence the ability to think creatively, where the use of the lecture learning model was obtained, the t-count was -8.363 > t-table of 0.684, and obtained a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of this research show that a regression of 2,539 has a positive value. Meanwhile, for the use of the PBL learning model, the t-count was -4.968 > t-table of 0.684, and obtained a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of this research show that a regression of 2,423 has a positive value. It can be concluded that the PBL model can have a positive influence on creative thinking abilities. The PBL model is more influential where it is shown that the t calculated lecture is smaller than the t calculated by the PBL model, namely – 4.968 > -8.363. So it can be concluded that using the PBL model can have more influence on students' creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Low learning motivation and active participation of students remain a challenge in mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially in simple plane geometry. This condition was found during clinical learning practice in grade III of SDN Sawah Besar 01, where some students tended to be passive, lacked confidence in asking questions, and had difficulty understanding the concept of plane geometry elements concretely. This article aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL) models in increasing learning motivation and active participation of students while reflecting the development of educators' pedagogical competence during the learning process. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and reflection journals. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL and PjBL models was able to increase student involvement in discussions, courage to ask questions, the ability to work together, and enthusiasm in participating in mathematics learning. In addition to having an impact on students, clinical learning practices also contributed to strengthening educators' pedagogical competence in designing active learning, managing classes, and providing more reflective feedback.

Abstract

Reading aloud is a fundamental skill in Indonesian language learning that is crucial for improving students' reading fluency and comprehension. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and reading-aloud proficiency of third-grade students at SDN Peterongan Semarang. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the teacher effectively planned and conducted reading-aloud lessons by preparing lesson plans, selecting appropriate texts, and modeling correct reading techniques. Overall, the students demonstrated good reading-aloud proficiency regarding pronunciation, intonation, volume, fluency, and the use of pauses; however, some students still faced difficulties due to a lack of understanding regarding punctuation, limited vocabulary, and insufficient practice. Therefore, more regular practice is required to enhance the students' reading-aloud skills.

Abstract

At the elementary school education level, which is generally children aged 6-12 years, learning activities that produce works of art have an impact on student learning progress, one of which is making collage art. Grade 1 students are often interested in and exposed to various types of transportation, such as land, water and air transportation. Therefore, choosing transportation images as the theme of the collage can provide direct relevance to their lives. The purpose of this study was to find out the visual elements of a transportation theme collage made by first grade students at SDN Karangrejo 02 Semarang. This study uses Qualitative Research, because researchers observe, analyze, and interpret an object to be examined using interview, observation and documentation methods. Test the validity of the data using a triangulation technique that is used to test the credibility of the data. The results of the research carried out were that the results of the collage work of class I students at SDN Karangrejo 02 Semarang totaling sixteen students with pictures of transportation equipment made of paper, the results of the student collage work were many who were good at making collages, but there were still students who were not neat in pasting, there are still many students who miss the drawing line. Some students may not have fully mastered their fine motor skills, so they have difficulty controlling their hand movements precisely. So with that it is very important to provide proper guidance and training to students through repetition of exercises and supportive approaches, students can improve their skills in pasting pictures neatly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize the sorts of errors that occur when solving math narrative problems, as well as the factors that contribute to such errors. Understanding the problem, preparing the solution, carrying out a solution plan, and re-examining are the four stages of completing narrative problems based on the polya step. The subjects of this study were third-grade children from SD N Karang Rejo 02. This study uses a qualitative method and is a form of descriptive study. The interview and observation methods were employed as research methods. The findings of the study revealed that third-grade students at SD N Karang Rejo 02 made four types of errors when solving math story problems: 1. The majority of pupils were able to understand the questions at this point, although there were a few kids who struggled. 2. Most students have been unable to create their plans at the planning stage due to a lack of knowledge, accuracy, and concentration. 3. Because the preceding phases were not carried out precisely, most students are unable to implement the plan at this point. 4. The majority of pupils do not reach the re-examination stage since they did not complete the prior level.
