Abstract

The effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model and motivation on understanding the ideology of Pancasila in the Civics Study Program was studied using a non-equivalent group pretest-posttest research design. The PPKN study program, totalling 30 people, was the subject of this research. Questionnaires and tests are used to gather information about research findings. The research investigation was carried out using the independent sample t-test technique, with a significance level 0.05. The study's findings show that the total count is 5.509. Here, the t value exceeds the 2.048 t table value. These findings suggest that cooperative learning models of the TGT kind effect student learning motivation. Based on the Independent Samples Test on "Assumption of Equal variances," the Sig is known. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 to be the basis for decision-making in the Independent Sample T-Test. As a result, there is a relatively significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught using the conventional learning model (control class) and students taught using the TGT learning model. The Pancasila ideology is different in applying the Teams Games Tournament learning model to the standard learning model. Second, the Teams Games Tournament learning style can increase learning motivation because of active participation.

Abstract

This research is about the role of the school environment in the formation of student discipline in class XI SMA Dr. Soetomo. The purpose of this study was to determine the role and inhibiting factors of the school environment in the formation of the disciplinary character of Class XI SMA Dr. Soetomo.The type of research used is qualitative research, using data analysis with a Likert scale. The validity of the data was obtained by carrying out triangulation activities, namely technical triangulation and time triangulation.Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the role of the school environment had a good role in the formation of the character of student discipline and limited time, facilities from the school, and also the background of the parents were included in the inhibiting factors of the role of the school environment in the formation of the character of student discipline in class XI SMA Dr. Soetomo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mitra kerja sama terhadap mutu layanan Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yaitu memadukan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif, untuk memperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala likert dan wawancara semi terstruktur, dengan melibatkan 50 mitra kerja sama yang telah terlibat dalam program minimal satu tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mitra kerja sama terhadap mutu layanan berada pada kategori sangat baik, terutama dalam hal efektivitas kerja sama, manfaat program, dan daya tanggap komunikasi. Sebagian besar mitra menilai kerja sama ini sangat efektif dalam mencapai tujuan bersama, dengan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap profesionalisme pengelola program. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan layanan berbasis teknologi, melakukan survei kepuasan secara berkala, dan menyelenggarakan lokakarya kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan relevansi program dengan kebutuhan mitra. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan strategis bagi pengembangan layanan PPG yang lebih baik di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Sebagai pendamping langsung siswa, GP tidak hanya bertanggung jawab memberikan bimbingan pedagogis tetapi juga menjadi teladan dalam penerapan nilai-nilai profesionalisme dalam pendidikan. Oleh karena itu penting melakukan evaluasi sebagai refleksi untuk merancang strategi pengembangan profesional yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk evaluasi kinerja GP dalam mendukung pembelajaran di PPG. Penelitian ini merupakan metode survey dengan mengirimkan survey kepada mahasiswa PPG. Berdasarkan hasil survei, sebagian besar responden menunjukkan pandangan yang sangat positif terhadap berbagai aspek kinerja GP. Sebanyak 83,7% responden sangat setuju bahwa GP berlaku adil dalam memperlakukan siswa, 81,4% menyatakan GP menjadi teladan yang baik, dan 80,6% menilai GP memiliki kebijaksanaan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Selain itu, keterampilan GP dalam menghidupkan suasana kelas (82,9%) dan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi (80,6%) mencerminkan kapasitas Guru untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan modern berbasis digital dan kolaboratif.

Abstract

Abstract: Basic learning becomes effective through play, exploration, and differentiation, using the PBL and PjBL approaches along with high motivation to enhance children's cognition, creativity, and engagement. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of two learning models and learning motivation on the cognitive improvement of children who are beginning to develop abstract thinking and problem-solving skills. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group experimental design, random sampling, the use of questionnaires, observations, cognitive tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, Two-Way ANOVA analysis, Tukey post-hoc test, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show a significant influence of learning methods and learning motivation on children’s cognitive scores. The combination of both factors and their interaction statistically strongly affect cognitive development with a predictive power of 88.1%. These findings confirm that the effectiveness of learning methods depends on the motivation level of 11–12-year-old elementary school students, with significant variations in cognitive outcomes. Conclusion: The combination of active learning methods such as PBL and PjBL with high learning motivation is crucial for optimizing students' cognitive development, especially in critical thinking and problem-solving. Keywords: Problem-Based Learning; Project-Based Learning; Learning Motivation; Cognitive Development   Abstrak: Pembelajaran dasar menjadi efektif melalui permainan, eksplorasi, dan diferensiasi, dengan pendekatan PBL, PjBL, serta motivasi tinggi guna meningkatkan kognitif, kreativitas, dan partisipasi anak. Tujuan penelitian mengukur efektivitas dua model pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap peningkatan kognitif anak yang mulai berpikir abstrak dan memecahkan masalah. Metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen pretest-posttest control group, pengambilan sampel acak, penggunaan kuisioner, observasi, tes kognitif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, analisis Two Way ANOVA, uji post-hoc Tukey, dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: ada pengaruh signifikan metode pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap nilai kognitif anak. Kombinasi kedua faktor tersebut serta interaksinya secara statistik kuat memengaruhi perkembangan kognitif dengan daya prediksi 88,1%. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa efektivitas metode pembelajaran bergantung pada tingkat motivasi siswa usia 11–12 tahun di sekolah dasar dengan variasi nilai kognitif yang signifikan. Kesimpulan: Kombinasi metode pembelajaran aktif seperti PBL dan PjBL dengan motivasi belajar tinggi sangat penting untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif siswa, terutama dalam berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Abstract

Character education has the task of developing students' potential to have good hearts and behavior. This study aims to improve the quality of students' character through interactive learning media based on android. The characters developed are discipline, honesty, mutual respect and appreciation. This study is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research design uses the Stringer action research model with core activities consisting of three stages. The stages consist of observation, data analysis, and action and evaluation. Data collection techniques are obtained through observation and questionnaires. The results of the study from each cycle I character on each score: discipline, never 3, rarely 19, often 22, and always 20. Honest aspect, never 0, rarely 19, often 24, always 21. Aspect of respect and respect, never 1, rarely 17, often 23, always 24. Cycle II, discipline aspect, never 1, rarely 14, often 27, always 24. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using Quizizz as a formative assessment instrument on student learning outcomes in the History of the Birth of Pancasila material. Low learning achievement due to monotonous evaluation methods requires the integration of technology in learning. This research applied a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population included all seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Candi Sidoarjo, with sampling conducted via random sampling technique, selecting class VII-8 as the experimental group and class VII-3 as the control group. Data collection instruments consisted of learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest) which were valid and reliable. Data analysis was performed using the Independent Sample T-Test inferential statistic after meeting the normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests. The results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Students who used Quizizz-based assessment obtained significantly higher average learning outcomes compared to students who used conventional assessment. This study concludes that Quizizz is proven effective as an adaptive evaluation alternative and capable of improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of collaborative project learning methods in PPKn subjects in grades 11-5 of SMAN 1 Kedamean Gresik. This method helps students learn in groups, while improving social and communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills. In addition, this method can make the learning process more interesting and interactive, thus encouraging students to play a more active role during the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure the accuracy of the data obtained, source triangulation and triangulation techniques are used. The data analysis techniques used with Miles and Huberman's steps are data collection, data reduc-tion, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study show that the application of this collaborative project learning method improves learning outcomes and student involvement in learning. They are freer in discussing, developing ideas, and easier to understand PPKn learning materials. However, there are still some obstacles faced, such as the imbalance of individual roles in the group and the limited time to complete projects carried out by students.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of religious activities, identify the level of religious character, and examine the relationship between both variables among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Gresik. The study used a quantitative correlational design. The population consisted of 295 students, and 75 students were selected through proportionate random sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires on religious activities and students' religious character. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and coefficient of determination. The results show that religious activities were in the high category (M = 61.46), while students' religious character was also high (M = 61.00). The prerequisite tests confirmed normal distribution and linear relationship. Hypothesis testing revealed a positive and significant relationship between religious activities and students' religious character (r = 0.612; p < 0.05). Religious activities contributed 37.4% to the formation of religious character. These findings indicate that systematic school religious programs support the internalization of religious values in students' daily lives.

Abstract

Urban poverty remains one of the most persistent social challenges in Southeast Asia, yet its portrayal in mainstream media often shapes public understanding and policy responses in unequal ways. While current scholarship acknowledges the media’s role in marginalization, there is a distinct lack of comparative research that details how divergent macro-level political economies produce specific, localized journalistic practices concerning the urban poor. This study addresses this gap by examining news and digital media in Jakarta and Manila, two megacities that embody contrasting trajectories of postcolonial urban development. Drawing on comparative sociological and critical discourse analyses, the research investigates narratives, visual framing, and thematic emphases across leading platforms between 2020 and 2025. Using mixed methods—including content analysis, interviews, and audience studies—the paper uncovers how journalistic practices produce different frames, ranging from moralized depictions of the poor as "responsible citizens" to structural critiques of inequality. Findings reveal that Jakarta’s media normalizes poverty through developmentalist frames, whereas Manila’s media emphasizes resilience. Ultimately, this paper moves beyond descriptive comparison to advance a theoretical framework for the 'mediatization of urban marginality.' The study contributes to the political economy of communication by theorizing how journalistic routines and local governance structures co-produce neoliberal subjectivities, transforming structural urban inequality into individual moral narratives.
