Abstract

Pneumonia adalah suatu infeksi saluran pernapasan akut dengan insidensi tinggi.  Karbapenem merupakan salah satu jenis antibiotik golongan beta laktam yang banyak digunakan pada pengobatan pneumonia. Penggunaan antibiotik karbapenem secara tidak rasional dapat memicu terjadinya resistensi antibiotik. Saat ini, banyak artikel yang diterbitkan tentang resistensi karbapenem pada pneumonia; namun, tidak ada studi bibliometrik tentang topik tersebut. Studi ini meneliti artikel yang ada menggunakan analisis bibliometrik yang berfokus pada negara, lembaga, penerbit, penulis, dokumen, dan kata kunci. Informasi bibliografi dari penelitian dan artikel konferensi yang relevan diperoleh dari basis data Scopus. Secara total, 741 artikel yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2014 dan 2024 dipilih, mencakup 4390 penulis dan 5173 kata kunci. Data dianalisis secara bibliometrik menggunakan Vosviewer 1.6.16 dan Rstudio 2024. Amerika Serikat, Metrohealth Medical Center (Amerika Serikat), Journal of Infection And Drug Resistance, dan Chen, L. (Universitas Zhejiang, China) masing-masing merupakan negara, lembaga, penerbit, dan penulis yang paling produktif. Analisis artikel berpengaruh dan co-citation network, dan keyword co-occurrence network menunjukkan kelimpahan dan keragaman makalah tentang resistensi karbapenem pada pneumonia. Temuan analisis ini dapat mendorong kolaborasi penelitian dengan menganalisis kontribusi negara, lembaga, penerbit, dan penulis. Hasil bibliometrik dikorelasikan dengan GDP negara dan menghasilkan korelasi positif terhadap tren publikasi topik terkait.

Abstract

Dispepsia merupakan sekumpulan gejala yang terdiri dari gangguan postprandial, rasa cepat kenyang saat makan, atau nyeri dan ketidaknyamanan pada epigastrium. Dispepsia sering dialami di Indonesia dengan prevalensi sebesar 40-50%. Kombinasi proton pump inhibitor dengan prokinetik dinilai efektif dalam meredakan gejala dispepsia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas hidup pasien dispepsia. Penelitian ini berbasis studi observasional dengan rancangan cohort prospektif yang dilakukan di RSUD dr. Darsono Kabupaten Pacitan dengan teknik pengumpulan data secara consecutive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Desember 2024 hingga bulan Februari 2025. Terdapat 2 kelompok penelitian yaitu monoterapi PPI dan kombinasi PPI dengan prokinetik yang dievaluasi setelah 7 hari terapi. Penelitian ini melibatkan pasien dispepsia yang berusia minimal 18 tahun. Analisis univariat dengan analisis diskriptif menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada penyakit komorbid kedua kelompok (p = 0,007). Analisis bivariat dengan Mann-Whitney menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan perbaikan kualitas hidup pada setiap domain (p>0,05).

Abstract

Herba pegagan (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban dan herba sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Ness) merupakan tanaman yang potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi bahan obat. Diperlukan suatu formulasi yang baik agar kedua herba dapat dengan mudah digunakan dengan tetap memperhatikan standart parameter kualitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formula granul kombinasi ekstrak terpurifikasi herba pegagan dan sambiloto menggunakan Avicel PH 101 (pengisi-penghancur) dan PVP K-30 (bahan pengikat) dengan menggunakan factorial design 22. Granul dibuat dengan perbandingan ekstrak terpurifikasi 30:70. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi Avicel PH 101 dan PVP K-30 serta interaksinya dapat menghasilkan granul dengan kecepatan alir 11,50 ± 0,41 g/detik, daya serap 26,58 ± 1,21 mg/menit, kandungan lembab  4,6% ± 0,21, indeks pengetapan 16,33% ± 0,58. Diperoleh formula optimum dengan bobot kombinasi ekstrak terpurifikasiherba pegagan dan herba sambiloto 360 mg, Avicel PH 101 360 mg dan PVP K-30 18 mg menghasilkan granul dengan sifat fisik yang memenuhi persyaratan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan karagenan dan polifenol dariEucheuma denticulatum terhadap karbohidrat enzim α-amilase secara in vitro. Ekstrasi karagenan menggunakan larutan kalium hidroksida 0,5%. Polifenol diekstraksi dengan 50% (v/v) metanol. Identifikasi karagenan ditentukan dengan Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). Kandungan total fenol ekstrak ditentukan menurut metode Folin-Ciocalteu. Kemudian hasil ekstraksi diuji daya hambat aktivitas α-amilase. Ekstrak karagenan dan polifenol mempunyai kemampuan menghambat aktivitas IC50  α-amilase yaitu 12,16 dan  11,64 mg/mL. Ekstrak Polifenol   memiliki daya hambat α-amilase lebih tinggi dari pada ekstrak karagenan.Kata Kunci: Eucheuma denticulatum, karagenan, polifenol, α-amilase.

Avocado peel waste, a significant byproduct of the global avocado industry, represents an underutilized resource rich in bioactive compounds, prompting growing interest in its potential pharmacological applications. This review addresses the need to explore these compounds within the context of sustainable waste management and natural therapeutic development, aiming to evaluate their chemical composition and biological activities. A comprehensive analysis was conducted by synthesizing data from peer-reviewed studies, focusing on phytochemical identification using advanced techniques such as UHPLC-QTOF-MS, HPLC-DAD, and LC-DAD-ESI-MS, alongside pharmacological assessments via methods like DPPH, TBARS, and in vitro assays. The findings reveal that avocado peels, particularly from the Hass cultivar, contain diverse phytochemicals including phenolics, flavonoids, and organic acids, exhibiting antioxidant, neuroprotective, antibacterial, antifungal, antiplatelet, antiaging, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. These activities are attributed to mechanisms such as radical scavenging, enzyme inhibition, and apoptosis induction, with specific studies highlighting neuroprotective effects in Parkinson’s disease models. The review concludes that avocado peel waste holds substantial promise as a sustainable source of bioactive compounds for food and pharmaceutical applications, though challenges like bioavailability and cultivar variability necessitate further research. Innovative extraction and formulation strategies could unlock its full therapeutic potential, contributing to a circular economy and health innovation.

Abstract

Hypertension in patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis is difficult to control leading to a significant risk factor for a cardiovascular event. The aimed of this review is to summarize the prevalence of uncontrolled blood pressure in dialysis patients. This review hopefully can serve as a valuable reference and source of insight for clinicians in their efforts to attain controlled blood pressure in dialysis patients. The relevant literatures was undertaken from PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for studies addressing the factor associated with uncontrolled blood pressure in hemodialysis patients using antihypertensives from 2013 to 2023. Combinations of search terms were "uncontrolled" and "blood pressure" and "dialysis" and "antihypertensive”. Any study in English, including randomized control trials, cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional studies was included. Uncontrolled blood pressure is very common among hypertension in dialysis patients (28.7 - 78.33% of cases). Factors affecting blood pressure in dialysis patients include age, obesity, and comorbidity (diabetes and stage of chronic kidney disease). Although the relationship between gender, the number of antihypertensive, the number of dialysis, and the length of dialysis sessions with blood pressure varies, some studies have shown a positive association.

Abstract

Stress ulcer merupakan cidera mukosa lambung mulai dari erosi hingga ulkus yang biasanya terlihat pada pasien kritis di intensive care unit (ICU).  Untuk mencegah perdarahan saluran cerna (stress ulcer) maka membutuhkan agen profilaksis stress ulcer. Agen terapi yang banyak digunakan sebagai profilaksis stress ulcer pada pasien perawatan intensif adalah pompa proton inhibitor contohnya omeprazole, pantoprazole, lansoprazole, dan esomeprazole. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas antara golongan PPI  sebagai profilaksis stress ulcer. Kajian ini merupakan tinjauan naratif (narrative review) yang dilakukan dalam empat tahapan berbeda diantaranya identifikasi kata kunci, penetapan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, pemilihan literatur yang relevan, dan analisis hasil. Pencarian informasi yang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan database elektronik seperti Google Scholar, Pubmed, dan Scopus dari tahun 2014 hingga 2024. Efektivitas penggunaan PPI sebagai profilaksis stress ulcer yang diamati dengan melihat tidak adanya kejadian perdarahan pada saluran cerna.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan perubahan pola makan dan gaya hidup yang tidak sehat. Jumlah penderita diabetes di Indonesia terus meningkat. Minat masyarakat dalam mengonsumsi tanaman obat semakin berkembang karena pasien lebih memilih produk alami yang dianggap lebih aman. Penelitian tentang tanaman obat sebagai agen antidiabetes juga menunjukkan tren yang meningkat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memetakan penelitian yang menggunakan tanaman obat terkait diabetes di Indonesia. Data subjek penelitian diperoleh dari Scopus, dan perangkat lunak statistik RStudio dengan paket bibliometric digunakan untuk menganalisis dan memvisualisasikan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan publikasi di bidang ini mencapai 36,25% per tahun. Jumlah penulis bersama per dokumen adalah 4,93 dengan tingkat kolaborasi internasional sebesar 15,12%. Sebanyak 1.548 artikel dengan 4.877 penulis diterbitkan di 429 jurnal dan prosiding terpilih. Elya B (n = 35), Universitas Airlangga (n = 435), dan IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (n = 92) merupakan penulis, afiliasi, dan penerbit paling produktif. Dengan jumlah sitasi per artikel sebesar 7,78 menunjukkan bahwa penelitian dari Indonesia berkontribusi pada penelitian lain. Penulis artikel di Indonesia sebagian besar (89,73%) berkolaborasi dengan peneliti sesama di Indonesia, sementara sisanya (10,27%) berkolaborasi dengan peneliti di luar negeri seperti Jepang, Malaysia, Thailand, China, dan Korea. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kuantitas dan kualitas penelitian tentang tanaman obat untuk DM di Indonesia semakin meningkat dan berkontribusi pada penelitian lebih lanjut untuk pengelolaan diabetes. Kata Kunci: Bibliometric, Diabetes Mellitus, Tumbuhan Obat, Scopus, Rstudio Diabetes mellitus (DM) strongly associated with changes in unhealthy diet and lifestyles. The number of diabetic patients in Indonesia continues to increase. Public interest in consuming medicinal plants was developing because patients prefer on natural products and are considered safer. Research on medicinal plants as antidiabetic agents also shows an increasing trend. This study aims to map research using medicinal plants related to diabetes in Indonesia. Data on research subjects were retrieved from Scopus and the bibliometric package in RStudio statistical software was used to analyze and visualize the data. The results of the analysis showed that the growth of publications in this field was 36.25% per year. The number of co-authors per document was 4.93 with an international co-authorship rate of 15.12%. A total of 1548 articles with 4877 authors were published in 429 selected journals and proceedings. Elya B (n = 35), Universitas Airlangga (n = 435), the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (n = 92) was the most productive author, affiliation, and publisher. With the number of citations per article of 7.78, it shows that this research from Indonesia contributes to another research. The authors of the articles in Indonesia mostly (89.73%) collaborated with fellow researchers in Indonesia, while the rest (10.27%) collaborated with researchers abroad such as Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Korea. It can be concluded that the quantity and quality of research on medicinal plants for DM in Indonesia is increasing and contributing to further research for diabetes management.

Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy is a severe complication of diabetes mellitus with a significant global impact on end-stage renal disease. Fish-derived fatty acids show promise in inflammatory disorders, but their mechanisms in diabetic nephropathy remain unclear. This study used network pharmacology and molecular docking to investigate the therapeutic targets of EPA and DHA from Patin fish oils. Potential targets of EPA and DHA were retrieved from the Swiss Target Prediction, SEA, and SuperPRED databases, identifying 160 and 185 targets, respectively. Notably, 37 and 62 of these targets overlapped with DN-related targets from GeneCards, DisGeNET, and OMIM. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis revealed hub genes, including PPARG, TLR4, and TP53, as critical mediators. Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis revealed involvement in biological processes such as collagen metabolic process for EPA and regulation of inflammatory response for DHA, while KEGG pathway analysis highlighted the modulation of PPAR signaling, the renin-angiotensin system, and the AGE-RAGE signaling pathway. Molecular docking confirmed favorable binding affinities of EPA and DHA to key targets such as PPARG (-8.04 kcal/mol for DHA) and PPARD (-8.11 kcal/mol for EPA). These findings suggest that EPA and DHA may mitigate DN-associated inflammation through multi-target and multi-pathway interactions, positioning them as potential supplementary therapeutic agents.
