Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan penerapan metode Total Physical Response (TPR) dalam peningkatan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris dan meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris tentang things in the classroom melalui penerapan metode Total Physical Response (TPR). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan selama tiga siklus dengan lima pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN 4 Kutosari tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Analisis data dilaksanakan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) penerapan metode TPR melalui langkah-langkah (a) mengenalkan kosakata yang akan diajarkan, (b) mengucapkan kalimat yang menggambarkan kosakata, (c) memperagakan kalimat yang menggambarkan kosakata, (d) mengulangi peragaan disertai dengan mengucapkan kalimat yang menggambarkan kosakata, (e) menuliskan kosakata beserta dengan arti dalam bahasa Indonesia; 2) penerapan metode TPR dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas III SDN 4 Kutosari tahun ajaran 2018/2019

Abstract

The objectives of the research were: (1) describing the steps to the application of Discovery Learning model with concrete materials, (2) improving mathematics learning about plane figures through Discovery Learning model with concrete materials, (3) analyzing obstacles and solutions of applying the Discovery Learning model with concrete materials.The research was a collaborative classroom action research (CAR) conducted in three cycles. There were two meetings in each cycle. A meeting consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects were 25 students of fourth grade of SD Negeri 2 Tamanwinangun in academic year of 2019/2020. The data used in the form of qualitative data were the application of the Discovery Learning model with concrete materials while quantitative data were the results of mathematics test. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and tests. The validity of the data used triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results showed that: (1) the steps to the application of the Discovery Learning model with concrete materials to improve mathematics learning about plane figures were: (a) giving stimulation by concrete materials, (b) writing problem statements, (c) collecting data, (d) processing data, (e) verifying, (f) making generalization; (2) the application of Discovery Learning model with concrete materials improved mathematics learning about plane figures to fourth grade students of SDN 2 Tamanwinangun in academic year of 2019/2020. It was proven by the results of teacher observation, student observation, and learning outcomes. The results of teacher observation were 85.71% in the first cycle, 87.38% in the second cycle, and 90.17% in the third cycle. The results of student observation were 85.57% in the first cycle, 87.50% in the second cycle, and 90.17% in the third cycle. Student learning outcomes were 88% in the first cycle, 92% in the second cycle, and 94% in the third cycle; (3) the obstacles were: (a) the teacher faced lack of class mangement when students were not paying attention, (b) some students were passive in group discussion therefore the discussion took much time. The solutions provided by the researcher were (a) the teacher improved the class management, (b) the teacher gave tasks to the students equally and managed the time management.It concludes that application of Discovery Learning model with concrete materials improves mathematics learning about plane figures to fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tamanwinangun in academic year of 2019/2020.Keywords: Discovery Learning, Concrete Materials, Mathematics

Abstract

AbstractThe objectives of research were: (1) to determine positive correlation of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021 and (2) to measure the contribution of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The research was correlational quantitative method. The samples were 327 fourth grade students in thirteen public elementary schools throughout the Kebumen Sub-district. Sampling method was cluster random sampling with the help of the SPSS application. The data collection technique used questionnaires and tests. The results indicated that (1) parental attention had positive and significant correlation on mathematics learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district and the value was 0.349. It was considered as moderate correlation. (2) The parental attention contributed 12.2% on mathematics learning outcomes and the remaining 87.8% was influenced by other factors such as interests, talents, intelligence, study habits, perseverance, family environment, school environment, and community environment.Keywords: Parental Attention, Mathematics Learning OutcomesAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan positif perhatian orang tua terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN Se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021, (2) mengetahui besarnya sumbangan perhatian orang tua terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN Se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi dengan sampel penelitiannya yaitu 327 siswa kelas IV SD di tiga belas SDN Se-Kecamatan Kebumen yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perhatian orang tua berhubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN Se-Kecamatan Kebumen dengan tingkat korelasi sedang yaitu 0,349. (2) Sumbangan variabel perhatian orang tua terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 12,2% dan sisanya 87,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti minat, bakat, kecerdasan, kebiasaan belajar, ketekunan, lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Perhatian Orang Tua, Hasil Belajar Matematika

Abstract

The objectives of the research are: (1) describing the steps to the application of scientific approach with multimedia, (2) improving social science learning outcomes, (3) describing the problems and solutions. The research is Classroom Action Research. The research data are qualitative and quantitative data. The sources of data are students, teachers, and documents. Data collection techniques use test and non-test techniques. Data validity techniques use source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques are: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. This research is conducted in three cycles consisting of six meetings. The results show that: 1) the steps to the application of scientific approach with multimedia to improve social science learning outcomes are: a) observing multimedia, b) asking questions based on multimedia, c) gathering information from multimedia, d) reasoning / processing information based on presented multimedia, and e) communicating the results of processing information; 2) scientific approach with multimedia can improve social learning outcomes. It is proven by the average percentage of teacher observations which is 89.13%. The average evaluation value is 88.02%; 3) the problems are: (a) the teacher does not motivate and give rewards to the students who ask actively and give feedbacks to the questions, (b) the teacher does not guide the students in drawing conclusion in the worksheet. The solutions for the problems are: (a) the teacher gives motivation and rewards to the students, (b) the teacher guides and the students draw conclusion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalis kemampuan membaca pemahaman dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V; (2) mendeskripsikan hambatan yang dialami siswa berkaitan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif metode studi kasus dengan objek siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi, tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman, wawancara, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa mencapai nilai rata-rata 79 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. (2) hambatan yang dialami siswa dalam membaca pemahaman yakni pada soal kata tanya mengapa dan bagaimana, menentukan ide pokok paragraf, membedakan fakta dan opini, serta kegiatan belajar siswa yang kurang membiasakan diri untuk belajar memahami bahan bacaan. (3) upaya yang dilakukan guru yakni membiasakan literasi membaca pada awal pembelajaran, membiasakan siswa memahami bacaan dengan strategi yang tepat, serta memberikan bimbingan secara khusus bagi siswa yang mengalami hambatan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca pemahaman dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V mencapai nilai rata-rata 79 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi berdasarkan Penilaian Acuan Patokan (PAP) sesuai KKM muatan pelajaran bahasa Indonesia yakni 68. Guru telah melakukan upaya dalam mengatasi hambatan-hambatan yang dialami siswa selama pembelajaran.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the positive effect of vocabulary mastery on understanding the discourse to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Banyumas Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021 and to measure the contribution of vocabulary mastery on understanding the discourse to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Banyumas Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The research was correlational quantitative approach. Sampling technique was probability sampling cluster random sampling. Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis with results obtained correlation coefficient value of 0.579 and Sig value. 0,000<0.05. It meant that vocabulary mastery gave positive and significant effect on understanding the discourse to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Banyumas Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021 and the correlation was moderate. Vocabulary mastery contributed 33.5% on understanding the discourse and the remaining 66.5% by other factors. It concludes that there is positive and significant effect of vocabulary mastery on understanding the discourse to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Banyumas Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The richer the mastery of student vocabulary, better the understanding of the content of discourse in students, and vice versa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Wero pada mata pelajaran IPA tentang kekuatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dengan lima pertemuan. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah siswa dan guru. Data yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk data kualitatif, yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan data kuantitatif, yaitu hasil tes pembelajaran subjek sains tentang kekuatan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi teknik tes dan non-tes. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi dan sumber data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar sains tentang kekuatan di kelas lima SD Negeri Wero. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa siswa terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan penyelidikan selama pembelajaran sehingga siswa mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan siswa menjadi lebih mudah mengingat materi yang telah dipelajari, melalui proses perumusan masalah, secara aktif, dan inisiatif untuk menemukan konsep melalui inkuiri dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing sehingga siswa menjadi terbiasa belajar secara kritis tentang fenomena di sekitarnya, dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing siswa terlibat langsung dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga mereka dapat melatih siswa untuk terampil dalam mendapatkan dan menganalisis informasi dari berbagai sumber belajar, meningkatkan antusiasme siswa selama pembelajaran melalui kegiatan investigasi, meningkatkan sikap kerjasama melalui proses diskusi kelompok, dan melatih kepercayaan diri siswa melalui presentasi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis penerapan model Predict Observe Explain, meningkatkan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA tema 6 cita-citaku.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV B SD Negeri 1 Kutosari tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi dan sumber. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Predict Observe Explain dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Kutosari tahun ajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of parental attention on student mathematics learning outcomes and to determine the contribution of parental attention on mathematics learning outcomes to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen sub-districts in academic year of 2019/2020. It was quantitative correlational method. The prerequisite analysis test used normality and linearity. Data analysis used simple correlation test and significance level. The result showed that there was positive and significant correlation between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes. The correlation level was moderate (0.248). Parental attention contributed 8.1% on mathematics learning outcomes. It concludes that there is positive and significant correlation between parental attention and mathematics learning outcomes to fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen sub-district in academic year of 2019/2020.

Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to describe the school principal's leadership to improve teacher’s performance at SD Negeri 4 Kalibagor. It used qualitative research method with case study approach. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, and document. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and verification.The results showed that the school principal's leadership to improve teacher’s performance at SD Negeri 4 Kalibagor met the excellent category as educator, manager, administrator, leader, and motivator.As a supervisor and innovator, the principal was in the sufficient category. Principal improved teacher’s performance through lesson plans, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. The obstacles faced by school principal were: (1) the teachers lacked of discipline, (2) the teachers used conventional learning methods and materials,and (3) the teachers lacked of motivation. The efforts to overcome the obstacles were: (1) being a good role model, (2) providing training,and (3) giving reward. It concludes that the principal's leadership to improve teacher’s performance at SD Negeri 4 Kalibagormeets good category.Keywords: leadership, school principal, teacher’s performance AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Negeri 4 Kalibagor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis data kualitatif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Negeri 4 Kalibagor dilaksanakan dengan kategori sangat baik sebagai educator, manajer, administrator, leader, dan motivator sedangkan sebagai supervisor dan inovator kepala sekolah masuk kategori cukup. Kepala sekolah  meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah: (1) kurangnya disiplin; (2) guru menggunakan metode dan media pembelajaran konvensional; (3) kurangnya motivasi. Upaya untuk mengatasi kendala: (1) menjadi teladan yang baik; (2) memberikan pelatihan; (3) memberikan penghargaan. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian kepemimpinan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Negeri 4 Kalibagor dalam kategori baik.Kata kunci: kepemimpinan, kepala sekolah, kinerja guru
