Abstract

Science learning in several schools in the Serang district still rarely conducts practicum, although practicum kits are available. Therefore, it is necessary to train teachers who are members of the Science MGMP Serang District. The purpose of the activity is to improve the skills of teachers to design simple practicums and use practicum kits. Activities were carried out in the duration of 34 JP in the form of training and assignment activities. Training session 1 was conducted online with output in the form of practicum designs made by teachers, while session 2 training was carried out offline at SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas. Academic evaluation is carried out on the collected tasks and non-academic evaluation includes participants' responses to training activities. The data obtained were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the activity showed that teachers had varied teaching experiences, and the number of assignments collected was 40 practicum designs. Teachers are skilled in drafting practicum designs and using kits well. Teachers are satisfied with the training activities and hope that the activities can be carried out sustainably. After the activity, teachers are expected to be able to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained to carry out practicum activities in learning science at their respective schools

Abstract

The community service program on child nutrition education aimed at preventing stunting in Desa Gunung Geulis sought to address the high prevalence of stunting due to nutritional issues. Initial situation analysis revealed that 40% of children in the village experienced stunting, with 70% of parents having limited knowledge about balanced nutrition. Based on these findings, comprehensive and easily understandable educational materials and training modules were developed, covering essential information on balanced nutrition, types of nutritious foods, and methods for preparing and presenting healthy meals using local ingredients. The outreach and training were conducted at three strategic locations and attended by 150 parents and caregivers, employing interactive and practical methods. Follow-up support and monitoring over three months showed that 80% of the families improved their children’s nutritional intake. The final evaluation indicated a significant increase in parental knowledge about nutrition from 30% to 85% and a reduction in stunting prevalence from 10% to 8% within six months. These results demonstrate that a structured, community-based educational approach effectively enhances nutritional knowledge and reduces stunting, significantly impacting child well-being in Desa Gunung Geulis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT E-book is a book in digital format that offers a richer reading experience with multimedia features. However, at SDN Ciluar 02, Bogor Regency, it is not yet varied and not yet digital. Therefore, in the learning process, it is necessary to develop printed teaching materials into digital teaching materials to make them more interesting and varied. The study was aimed at developing and finding out the feasibility of teaching materials assisted by anyflip on the Community in my area material. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) study with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) research method. The data collection technique in this study used an instrument sheet in the form of a questionnaire. Product testing was carried out by media experts, language experts, material experts 1 and material experts 2. The assessment results from media experts were 98%, language experts 96%, material experts 1 96%, and material experts 2 98% which means it is very feasible to be implemented. And based on the limited trial conducted on 22 grade IV students, they obtained a percentage value of 97%, and obtained a percentage value of the student learning interest trial of 93.91%, which means that the e-book assisted by anyflip on the material of the Community in my area is very suitable for use in the learning process and can increase learning interest in students. Abstract

The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using theADDIE model, which consists of the stages: Analysis, Design, Development,Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation results indicated that the feasibilityratings were 89.2% from the material expert, 91.6% from the media expert, and88.8% from the language expert, all classified as "very feasible".Studentresponses to the e-book reached 94.2%, and teacher responses reached 96.4%,both classified as "very good".The products effectiveness was measured usingthe N-Gain test, which showed an average score of 0.67 (categorized as"moderately effective" and a t-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating asignificant difference in the improvement of creative thinking skills between theexperimental and control classes. Thus, the Heyzine-assisted e-book is proven tobe highly feasible, positively received, and effective for use in IPAS learning toimprove students creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to evaluate the level of integration of STEM components in the science teaching materials of the Independent Curriculum. The focus of the evaluation includes the dimension of integration between STEM disciplines as well as the relevance of the learning context to real-world problem solving. Methodology: The research uses a qualitative descriptive method, analyzing 31 science learning modules using the Bybee STEM evaluation model. Data were collected through document analysis with a focus on the variables of coordination, combination, and linkage of STEM disciplines. Main Findings: The results show that science is dominant as the main context (100%) with the integration rate of technology and mathematics at 77% and 61%. However, the engineering aspect is only integrated by 23%, indicating a lack of attention to engineering design. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research provides new insights into the challenges of STEM implementation in Indonesia, especially in the context of developing balanced and comprehensive science teaching materials.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of metacognitive strategies, STEM elements, creativity, and Assessment as Learning (AaL) within the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) teaching materials in Indonesia’s Kurikulum Merdeka. Utilizing a qualitative design, the research involved rubric-based analysis of 32 P5 modules and semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers from urban and rural schools. Findings revealed that while the modules address themes of sustainability, they remain narrowly focused and exhibit moderate integration of ESD (1.3), creativity (0.5), STEM (1.6), and metacognitive scaffolding (1.3). The materials often lacked open-ended problem-solving, project-based design, and reflective prompts essential for fostering creativity and self-regulated learning. Triangulated data showed consistency between module analysis and teacher perspectives, highlighting gaps in problem-action alignment and superficial STEM applications. Thematic analysis also identified limited teacher familiarity with AaL and STEM-PjBL, reinforcing the need for targeted professional development. The study concludes that strengthening teacher capacity, scaffolding inquiry-based strategies, and revising assessment frameworks are critical to enhancing the transformational potential of P5 for 21st-century learning.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of a structured professional development model on enhancing primary teachers' understanding and their capacity to promote students' STEM literacy. A mixed-methods design was employed to capture both quantitative outcomes and qualitative insights. Pre-test and post-test intervention surveys were used to measure shifts in teachers' perceptions, while students' literacy was assessed through structured essay tasks. Complementing this, open-ended questionnaires and interviews with selected teachers and students were conducted to explore their experiences and the perceived impact of the programme. The results demonstrate significant improvements in teachers' perceptions of STEM education and students' STEM literacy following the program's implementation. Quantitative findings indicate a substantial increase in teachers' self-efficacy and confidence in implementing STEM-based instruction, accompanied by measurable gains in students' STEM literacy across participating schools. These improvements are further explained and supported by qualitative findings, which reveal that teachers perceived the program as effective in strengthening their STEM content knowledge, pedagogical competence, and instructional confidence through hands-on learning activities, collaborative practices, and sustained professional support. In addition, qualitative evidence highlights contextual challenges, including limited instructional time and insufficient resources, which help explain variations in implementation effectiveness among schools. Overall, the findings suggest that a well-designed, contextually responsive STEM professional development model can enhance teacher capacity and meaningfully improve student STEM literacy in primary education, while underscoring the importance of ongoing support for sustainable implementation.
