Abstract

PT Gudang Garam Tbk is a cigarette manufacturer renowned for its unfiltered cigarettes. The number of product lovers compels management to employ supply chain management to maximize distribution. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is utilized by PT Gudang Garam Tbk to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of its business processes. The objective of this study is to determine why PT Gudang Garam Tbk selected Oracle as its ERP system based on its business processes or supply chain. The documentation study approach is employed to collect data for this study. This study employs a qualitative methodology. This study utilizes both primary and secondary data. As a result of the research and discussion, PT Gudang Garam Tbk develops a supply chain strategy that prioritizes efficiency in order to facilitate production and distribution and reduce distribution costs. In fact, the company chose Oracle because it offers various advantages that other ERP systems lack, including the ability to process massive volumes of data, user control that includes restrictions on other users' access, and a server cluster.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Supply Chain Management and constraints of existing ERP systems in PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk is a company engaged in the household production industry by offering food products, beverages, kitchen needs, to toiletries. In an effort to develop its business operations, it is known that PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk implements its management strategy through ERP and Supply Chain Management systems. The ERP system at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk functions as an information integration tool for all company stakeholders, while Supply Chain Management functions as a tool for monitoring the flow of goods to consumers and the amount of inventory. Thus, the two strategies are related to the certainty of the performance of Unilever employees. This paper aims to analyze the performance and the relationship between supply chain management, and the effect of the ERP system implemented by Unilever companies on operational performance through interaction and communication of information in order to be efficient in implementing supply chain management strategies and ERP systems. The research method uses a document study approach, as well as primary and secondary data collection techniques. The results of the study reveals that the Supply Chain Management strategy of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk has four components, namely supply chain uncertainty, management of economies of scale, selection of transportation modes, and product inventory control; as well as the ERP and Supply Chain Management systems of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk have a positive and significant impact on the company's performance so as to obtain profits and achieve company goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of information technology, information sharing, and trust on supply chain performance, with supply chain integration as a mediating variable. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with questionnaires distributed to 236 individuals in the retail supply chain in Batam. Data were analyzed using the PLS method with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that information technology and trust have a significant positive relationship with supply chain performance. Additionally, supply chain integration strengthens the relationships between information technology, information sharing, trust, and supply chain performance. However, it was found that information sharing does not have a significant relationship with supply chain performance. The implications of this study highlight the importance of effective use of information technology to enhance supply chain integration, which in turn strengthens information sharing and trust among partners, thereby improving retail performance in Batam City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of bullwhip effect, inventory levels, and information sharing practices on the performance of supply chains and retailer operations in Batam City. The data was collected through a questionnaire and processed the data using a quantitative data method for 220 respondents who are retail supply chain staff in Batam. Data analysis shows that inventory levels and information-sharing practices have a positive and significant influence on supply chain performance and retailer operations, while the bullwhip effect does not show a significant impact on either aspect. The study emphasizes the need to focus on inventory management strategies and improve information collaboration in the supply chain to improve retailers' operational efficiency.

Abstract

Purpose: This Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) implemented digital marketing management to support PLN’s Power Capacity Upgrade Discount program during National Customer Day at PLN Unit Layanan Pelanggan (ULP) Belakang Padang, Batam. The program focused on improving the effectiveness of digital promotion, increasing customer awareness of PLN’s digital services, and strengthening institutional communication in the context of border areas. Methodology/approach: The program was conducted from September to December 2025 at PLN ULP Belakang Padang, Indonesia. The methods included field observation, community training, the development of digital promotional content incorporating Malay cultural elements, and social media campaigns through official PLN platforms. Program evaluation used social media analytics and PLN Mobile application usage data to compare the conditions before and after implementation. Results/findings: The results indicate a 45% increase in customer engagement with promotional content, measured using interaction metrics such as likes, comments, and shares. The PLN Mobile application usage increased by 20% based on internal access data during the campaign period. Program targets were achieved, with nine customers successfully utilizing the Power Capacity Upgrade Discount. Conclusions: The digital marketing approach was effective in enhancing customer engagement and awareness of PLN digital services. Limitations: The limitations of this study include uneven digital literacy levels and a short implementation period. Contributions: This program provides an applicable model of digital-based community service for public organizations in border regions.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to improve financial record-keeping practices at Labelle Garden MSME and analyze the impact of rupiah–yuan exchange rate fluctuations on imported raw material costs to support business sustainability. Methodology/approach: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using interviews, direct observation, and hands-on assistance. Financial records were developed using Microsoft Excel, supported by exchange rate analysis and simple digital rebranding through Instagram. Results: The implementation of an Excel-based financial recording system improved the accuracy and structure of financial management. Increased awareness of exchange rate fluctuations enabled better cost control, and simple rebranding enhanced the business’s visual identity and marketing effectiveness. Conclusions: Integrated financial record-keeping, exchange rate awareness, and basic rebranding contribute positively to the managerial decision-making and operational sustainability of MSME. Limitations: The implementation of simple financial recording and rebranding effectively supports MSME decision-making and marketing activities. Contributions: This study provides practical insights for MSMEs in managing financial records and mitigating exchange rate risks while strengthening their market presence, particularly for businesses relying on imported raw materials.

Abstract

Erigo merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang terkemuka di Indonesia, Erigo menjadi salah satu brand Indonesia yang sangat sukses dan terkenal juga di luar negeri.Erigo menjadi salah satu brand yang paling diincar, dikarenakan Erigo selalu sukses mengikuti trand fashion setiap tahunya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ERP dari bagian financial pada perusahaan Erigo dalam mengembangkan perusahaan. kemudian faktor – faktor ERP apa saja yang diterapkan di dalam bisnis UMKM Erigo. Mengetahui kriteria penerapan ERP yang diterapkan oleh UMKM Erigo. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian kualitatif, untuk membahas Erigo Apparel ini peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dimana nanti hasil dari penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan secara sistematis mengapa Erigo dapat berkembang di Amerika Serikat, bagaimana Erigo menerapkan system ERP nya pada masa COVID-19 dan hasil dari analisis ini juga merupakan hasil survey peneliti sebelumnya. Erigo merupakan brand berskala besar yang berpusat di Indonesia yang telah mendapatkan omset sebesar 22 miliar rupiah di tahun 2015 dan pada tahun 2021 Erigo maju ke kelas Internasional mengikuti New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2022.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the influence of four key elements of supply chain management inventory, supplier relationships, delivery, and information technology on operational performance and firm performance among supplier companies in Indonesia’s free trade zone, specifically Batam City. The research examines how internal resources contribute to efficiency, competitiveness, and overall business outcomes. Methodology/approach: A quantitative approach was employed through questionnaires distributed to 253 respondents from supplier companies in Batam City. Purposive sampling was used based on criteria related to supply chain activities. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS. Results/findings: The findings show that inventory, supplier relationships, delivery, and IT each have a positive and significant effect on operational and firm performance, with inventory management showing the strongest influence. Operational performance also positively affects firm performance, emphasizing the role of efficiency and reliability in achieving competitive advantage. Conclutions: Effective inventory control, strong supplier collaboration, reliable delivery, and IT utilization significantly improve company performance, supporting operational efficiency, sustainability, and the strategic value of digital and integrated supply chain management. Limitations: This study is limited to the free trade zone in Batam City and relies on self-reported data, which may introduce response bias. External factors such as policy, market conditions, and macroeconomic influences were not included. Contribution: This research provides empirical evidence on the role of supply chain resources in enhancing performance and offers insights for managers and policymakers, reinforcing RBV theory in developing regions like Batam.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the influence of supply chain performance on retail business performance in Batam City, with supply chain flexibility as a mediator. Strong supply chain performance is expected to enhance retail businesses’ ability to respond to market dynamics and consumer needs. Methodology/approach: A quantitative approach was used by distributing surveys and questionnaires to retail business actors in Batam, Indonesia. The collected data were statistically analyzed to examine the relationship between supply chain performance, supply chain flexibility, and retail business performance. Results/findings: The findings show that supply chain performance positively and significantly affects supply chain flexibility, which subsequently improves retail business performance. This confirms that supply chain flexibility plays an essential role in strengthening competitiveness and supporting sustainability. Conclusions: This study concludes that supply chain flexibility effectively mediates the relationship between supply chain performance and overall retail business success. Efficient supply chain management enables businesses to respond quickly to market changes and enhance their operational efficiency. Limitations: This study is limited to retail businesses in Batam City; therefore, the results may not fully represent other regions or sectors. Future research should broaden the scope or use longitudinal data. Contributions: This study provides empirical evidence of the importance of flexibility in supply chain management and serves as a reference for retail managers to optimize strategies for sustainable growth.
