This study is a quantitative research that aims to examine the effect of accountability and transparency of financial reporting accountability on the management of the School Operational Assistance (BOS) budget. The location of this research is SDS Alwashliyah 5 Belawan Medan City. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The secondary data in this study is in the form of documents, such as records of BOS fund distribution and BOS fund expenditure records. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 24 (Statistical Product and Service Solution) software. The results of this study show that (1) Accountability affects the management of BOS funds, meaning that with accountability schools can be said to be responsible for the management of BOS funds. So that schools can improve the quality of financial accountability reporting, and gain the trust of parents, the community, and also the government. (2) Transparency affects the management of the BOS fund budget. This means that if the management of BOS funds is managed by prioritizing the principle of transparency, it will increase the effectiveness of BOS fund management.

Abstract

The halal industry continues to experience significant growth globally, as awareness of halal products increases. In Indonesia, this sector is a national priority, especially in encouraging MSMEs to obtain halal certification. However, the level of certification among MSMEs is still low, including in Medan City, which has great potential in the development of the halal industry. The research objective is to examine the effect of halal awareness regulations, as well as business prospects on MSME decisions to obtain halal certification in Medan City. This study uses a quantitative approach with primary data sources obtained through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling approach, namely determining the sample based on certain criteria that are relevant to the research objectives. Data analysis was carried out using statistical tests in the form of multiple linear regression to determine the effect of each independent variable on MSME halal certification decisions. The results showed that regulation, halal awareness, and business prospects have a significant effect on MSME halal certification decisions in Medan City, with halal awareness as the dominant factor. This finding implies the importance of the role of education, simplification of regulations, and increasing halal market literacy for business actors, which directly supports the strengthening of the Islamic economy through the application of sharia principles in MSME economic activities, and encourages the creation of a competitive and sustainable halal ecosystem. This study reinforces the importance of applying sharia principles to empower MSMEs through halal certification

Abstract

This paper carries out a critical analysis of the strategic performance and institutional articulation of the IB Griya mortgage financing product of PT. Bank Indoswara BNI Batam. Partly because the product is structurally sound, based on the Murabahah contract, and entirely compliant with the sharia related legal norms, continuing and inefficient performance in terms of meeting financing objectives illustrates more fundamental institutional morbidity. This study identifies five interlinked weaknesses through a qualitative approach of a case study method by combining in-depth interviews, an analysis of documents, and observations in the field, where five interconnected weaknesses are revealed including product-market inhomogeneity, inflexible and behaviorally inconsistent pricing policy, ineffective promotion communication, socially indifferent service provision, and an extreme lack of strategic planning and partnership building. Instead of blaming the macroeconomic fluctuation or consumer lack of knowledge, the results identify the issue on the epistemic structure and strategic culture within the institution. This paper maintains that Islamic mortgage finance will not perform based on mere juridical legitimation; however, it would be supported by the strategic reflexivity, relationship sense of trust development, emotional consistent service designing, and institutional behaviours run through the communities. So as evidenced by the case of IB Griya, unless it expands the narrative resonance, user-centric programming and multi-actor ecosystems of partnerships, there is a danger that sharia-compliant goods will become morally good, yet behaviorally peripheral.

Abstract

In the digital era, the use of financial technology, especially e-wallets, is increasing among students due to its convenience and flexibility. However, limited studies have examined the influence of economic, lifestyle, and psychological factors on e-wallet usage, particularly among Islamic economics students. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression approach, based on data from 100 respondents collected via online questionnaires. The results show that economic factors negatively influence e-wallet usage (coefficient = -0.276, sig. < 0.05), suggesting that higher economic status may reduce usage. Lifestyle has a positive influence (coefficient = 0.341, sig. < 0.05), indicating students with modern habits are more likely to use e-wallets. Psychological behavior is the most influential factor (coefficient = 0.768, sig. < 0.05), emphasizing the role of motivation, perception, and trust. The R² value of 0.632 indicates that 63.2% of e-wallet usage decisions are explained by these variables.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of Green Accounting in waste management by Pak Udin Fried Meatball Factory located in Jati Baru Village, Pagar Merbau District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The main focus of this study is to assess how the application of green accounting affects operational costs and its impact on business profitability. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with primary data sources obtained through field observations, interviews, documentation, and direct surveys at the factory location. The results of the study indicate that the application of Green Accounting in the factory is still not optimal. Solid waste management has been carried out by utilizing the remaining production dregs as animal feed and compost. However, liquid waste has not been handled optimally due to limited facilities, namely only two inadequate reservoirs, so it has the potential to pollute the surrounding environment during heavy rain. In addition, there is no specific cost recording for the construction of waste processing facilities, which makes it difficult to assess its impact on profitability. This study provides an important contribution to enriching the literature on Green Accounting, especially in the household industry sector, and offers practical insights for small business actors in implementing environmental-based accounting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Locus of Control, Self-Efficacy, and Work Environment on Employee Performance at Bank Sumut Syariah KCP Karya. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of declining employee performance in several branches, including KCP Karya, which is suspected to be influenced by psychological factors and workplace conditions. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, distributing questionnaires to all employees (22 respondents), and analyzing the data with SPSS. The results show that, partially, all three independent variables—locus of control (p = 0.003), self-efficacy (p = 0.000), and work environment (p = 0.041)—have a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three variables also significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and an Adjusted R² of 81.9%, indicating a strong contribution of these variables to performance outcomes. The study concludes that improving internal locus of control, enhancing self-efficacy, and creating a conducive work environment significantly contribute to better employee performance. These findings have important implications for management in designing performance improvement strategies through psychological empowerment and workplace improvements.
