Abstract

This study aims to develop Gen-M Media (Dragon Mathematics Educational Game), based on an active learning approach, that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and fostering cooperative character in mathematics learning among fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used included validation sheets, questionnaires, observation sheets, and critical thinking tests. Validation sheets were administered to media experts, material experts, and practitioners to assess the validity and feasibility of the Gen-M media. Questionnaires were distributed to teachers and students to evaluate practicality. Observation sheets were used to assess the development of students’ cooperative character. In addition, pretests and posttests were used to measure critical thinking skills. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results indicated that: (1) expert and practitioner validation categorized the media as “highly appropriate”; (2) practicality tests yielded scores of 95% from teachers and 91.17% from students, classified as “very practical”; and (3) quantitative analysis confirmed that the Gen-M media significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills by [insert value]% and fostered cooperative character development. In conclusion, the Gen-M media integrated with an active learning approach is a valid, practical, and effective instructional tool that positively influences both the cognitive and social competencies of elementary school students in mathematics education.

Abstract

Banyak siswa yang suka menonton film animasi karena visualnya yang menarik, karakter tokoh yang unik, dan ceritanya mudah dipahami. Hal tersebut membuat peneliti tertarik untuk menjadikan film animasi sebagai media penanaman nilai karakter anak sehingga menjadi pribadi yang bermoral, berakhlak mulia, dan berperilaku baik. Pendidikan dapat diajarkan pada anak sekolah dasar melalui film, namun tetap dalam pengawasan guru dan orang tua dalam menonton.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai karakter film animasi big hero 6 terhadap daya tangkap anak dalam perspektif 4C pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Cipetung. Serta mendeskripsikan upaya dalam menanamkan nilai karakter pada anak melalui tontonan film animasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan film animasi big hero 6 memuat seluruh elemen dari acuan nilai karakter menurut Kemendikbudristek dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila yaitu beriman dan bertaqwa kepada tuhan yang maha esa dan berakhlak mulia, berkebhinekaan global, bergotong-royong, mandiri, bernalar kritis, dan kreatif. Siswa mampu menangkap seluruh aspek 4C dalam film. Siswa bahkan mengaplikasikannya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Secara keseluruhan, film animasi Big Hero 6 terbukti mampu merangsang keterampilan berpikir kritis, kerja sama, komunikasi, dan kreativitas siswa, meskipun perlu pendekatan lanjutan untuk mengoptimalkan aspek berpikir kritis.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to increase the understanding of mothers under five and posyandu cadres about the benefits of cassava as an alternative source of carbohydrates and to introduce high-protein cassava noodle formulations that can be produced independently at the household level. The object of the activity includes the Team PKK Pokja 4, Posyandu Cadre, and Health cadres in partner villages. In addition, the advocacy for processing cassava noodles based on high-protein local foods was developed as an effort to fulfill the nutritional needs of toddlers through Supplementary Feeding (PMT), which is easily accepted by the community and supports family food security. The methods used include a participatory approach through family nutrition socialization, cassava noodle processing demonstrations, and targeted group discussions to explore community perceptions and needs. Data was collected through observations, brief interviews, and product acceptance assessments. Advocacy is applied by providing training in the processing of cassava noodles with 30% theoretical and 70% practical. Appropriate Technology/TTG is downstreamed to participants in the hope that the knowledge gained can be sustainable. The results of the activity showed that high-protein cassava noodles were well received by mothers under five because they were considered a nutritious dietary supplement variation, easy to make, and used affordable local ingredients. Posyandu cadres also expressed their readiness to integrate this innovation into the routine PMT menu. It is recommended that the production of cassava noodles be facilitated through advanced training, support for simple tools, and collaboration with PKK and local food UMKM to ensure its sustainability. In addition, it is necessary to conduct a more comprehensive nutritional content test and monitoring of the impact on the nutritional status of toddlers to strengthen the scientific basis of the program.
