Abstract

Stunting is a significant global health problem, with an estimated 149 million children under five experiencing this condition in 2018. Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant recommended by WHO as an alternative food to overcome nutritional problems or malnutrition. This service aims to increase knowledge about the use of moringa to prevent stunting, encourage active community participation in planting moringa trees in every home, and hone family skills in innovation in processing moringa-based food. The service method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This program is conducted through education, training, and mentoring using lecture, discussion, and direct practice methods. The results of the service showed a positive response from the community, as seen from their activeness during education and socialization of Moringa-based food innovations. This education succeeded in increasing public understanding about using Moringa leaves to prevent stunting, with pre-test and post-test data showing an increase in knowledge from 44.60 to 93.00. This program also distributed 500 Moringa tree seeds and trained people to make processed Moringa products into innovative foods, such as pudding and brownies, opening up economic opportunities. This program is expected to provide sustainable benefits for the health and welfare of the local economy.

Abstract

The nature of Natural Science as a science that originates from nature and has several abstract concepts that cannot be presented directly into the classroom is a challenge for teachers to convey these concepts. The rapid development of technology allows humans to interact directly without being limited by space and time. One technology that can be used to visualize several abstract concepts in science lessons is augmented reality. This study aims to develop science teaching materials based on Augmented Reality (AR) on the material of energy in life systems. This type of research is development research referring to the development of Borg & Gall which was modified from (Sugiyono, 2014). This study consists of 10 stages, namely (1) Potential and Problems; (2) Data Collection; (3) Product Design; (4) Product Design Validation; (5) Product Design Revision; (6) Product Trial; (7) Product Revision; (8) Usage Trial; (9) Product Revision; and (10) Mass Production. By implementing all these stages, it is expected to produce science teaching materials based on Augmented Reality that are valid and reliable based on expert responses and trial results. The output of this study is a research article published in an accredited national journal and HAKI science teaching materials based on Augmented Reality.

Abstract

The use of health services is important to maintain and improve health, prevent the onset or worsening of disease, cure disease, and restore health conditions. This study aims to see the use of polyclinics and satisfaction of students of the Public Health Study Program at the UIN Alauddin Makassar campus. This type of research is quantitative through a cross-sectional approach. The sample size in this study was 229 respondents who were students of the Public Health Study Program. This study was conducted on September 20-25, 2024 with a sample collection method by giving questionnaires to students of the Public Health Study Program. Based on the results of the univariate analysis test obtained from 30 respondents who utilized health facilities 2 times or more than 2 visits, it was found that the majority of respondents were satisfied with each variable, including the tangible variable 21 people (70.0%), reliability 22 people (73.3%), responsiveness 21 people (70.0%), assurance 22 people (73.3%), and empathy 21 people (70.0%). Meanwhile, students who do not utilize the polyclinic at UINAM, the majority of the reasons are that they have never been sick, are more comfortable using health services outside the campus, and prefer to consult with a private doctor or service clinic. Therefore, suggestions and input from UINAM students are obtained, namely that the campus polyclinic needs to improve socialization regarding the service flow and its advantages so that it is better known by students. In addition, it is necessary to improve the quality of service by ensuring that staff are friendlier and more thorough, completing the necessary medical equipment, and improving the comfort of the waiting room and accessibility of health facilities. This is expected to encourage students to trust and choose health services on campus more.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan video pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas IV SD Inpres Taepa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Taepa yang berjumlah 14 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan diantaranya wawancara, observasi dan tes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, panduan wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Data pada penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan data hasil pretest dan posttest. Diketahui bahwa nilai rat-rata pretest 53,92 dan nilai rata-rata posttest yaitu 81,42 dimana nilai posttest > nilai pretest. Berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan menggunakan uji t di peroleh sebesar 15,36 dengan jumlah sampel 14 pada taraf signifikan 0,05 atau 5%, db = 14-1=13 di peroleh t tabel sebesar 2,16. Jadi > atau 15,36 >2,16 yang artinya ditolak dan diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Taepa. Model pembelajaran CTL yang menggunakan bantuan video pembelajaran di kelas IV SD Inpres Taepa membuat siswa lebih aktif dalam proses belajar, sehingga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the use of spacedesk application media and LCD media in increasing students' interest in learning at SMAN 2 Palopo. This type of research is a comparative experiment focusing on the comparison of two different samples. The sampling was conducted using a cluster random sampling technique, with the sample including class XII IPA 1 with 33 students and class XII IPA 2 with 26 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The data were then analyzed using an independent sample T-test. The results of this study indicate that the learning interest of students in class XII IPA 1 using the Spacedesk application media successfully enhanced students' attention, although not significantly. However, it did not succeed in improving students' enjoyment, engagement, or interest. In contrast, the learning interest of students in class XII IPA 2 using LCD media successfully enhanced students' enjoyment, interest, and attention. Additionally, it improved student engagement, though not significantly. The independent sample T-test showed a significance value of  sig.=0,000 <  5%, indicating a difference in the effectiveness of the Spacedesk application media versus LCD media in enhancing students' learning interest. The practical implication of this research is that schools and teachers can implement LCD-based learning methods to enhance students' interest in learning, as schools have adequate electrical installations, classrooms, and LCD media.

Abstract

White oyster mushrooms are a type of woody mushroom that taste delicious and are nutritious so they are very popular with many people. However, growing oyster mushrooms takes a long time and becomes an obstacle for farmers because they cannot meet market demand. One alternative to increase the production of white oyster mushrooms is by adding nutritional growth regulators in the form of coconut water. This research aims 1). To determine the effect of adding coconut water on the growth of white oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) 2) To determine the effect of differences in coconut water concentration on the growth of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus). This type of research is pseudo-quantitative in the form of experimental research. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications so that there were 12 logs. It was found that there was no real effect of the addition of coconut water and the concentration level given on the pinhead emergence time parameters. Because the results show that the average time for control pinheads to appear is not much different from the time for treated pinheads to appear. In contrast to the parameter for the number of caps, the results showed that the addition of coconut water and the concentration level given had a significant effect on the number of mushroom caps. The provision of coconut water is said to have a real effect because there is a large difference between the average number of control hoods and those given treatment. The most obvious treatment was treatment C with the addition of 400 ml of coconut water

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air cucian beras terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan hasil panen jamur tiram. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali pengulangan. Perlakuan penambahan air cucian beras yang dilakukan yaitu perlakuan A air cucian beras konsentrasi 80%, B air cucian beras konsentrasi 85%, C air cucian beras konsentrasi 90%, dan K air cucian beras konsentrasi 0%. Data yang telah dikumpulkan selanjutnya diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan air cucian beras dengan metode penyiraman tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu kemunculan pinhead dan jumlah tangkai. Perlakuan penambahan air cucian beras dengan metode penyiraman memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap lebar tudung dan berat basah jamur tiram. Faktor lingkungan suhu dan pH tidak menunjukkan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil panen jamur tiram. Namun, faktor kelembaban menunjukkan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil panen jamur tiram.

Abstract

Plastik tersusun atas polimer yang membentuk makromolekul dengan karakteristik ringan. Plastik pada umumnya digunakan sebagai bahan pengemas suatu produk dengan mempertimbangkan jenis plastik yang akan digunakan. Setiap jenis plastik memiliki karakteristik dan fungsi yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sifat fisis dari berbagai jenis plastik dan mampu membedakan berbagai jenis kemasan plastik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengamatan dan pengukuran visual. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah plastik polipropilen memiliki warna plastik bening, berat plastik 0,29 g; ketebalan plastik 0,000033 m; mudah terbakar dengan warna nyala api jingga kebiruan; memiliki aroma plastik terbakar; nyala api merambat cepat (17,21 detik); persentase pemanjangan 9,31%; nilai gramatur 29 g/m2; dan nilai densitas rata-rata 886.110 g/m2. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sifat fisik plastik polipropilena yaitu memiliki ciri-ciri plastik bening, mudah terbakar, memiliki warna nyala jingga kebiruan, dan memiliki bau seperti plastik terbakar. Jenis-jenis kemasan plastik dapat dibedakan berdasarkan sifat fisik, uji nyala, dan perbandingan persentase pemanjangan, berat, dan densitas masing-masing.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student outcomes by applying a project-based learning model assisted by animation video media in the Science Class V subject of SD Alhairaat Tondo. The research method used is class action research, which refers to the diagram presented by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Based on the results of the research on the application of the project-based learning model assisted by animation video media to improve student learning outcomes in the Science Class V subject of SD Alkhairaat Tondo, this is shown by the percentage of student learning outcomes in the initial test of 21.42%. After taking action in cycle 1, the average score percentage increased to 67.85 %. And when the action was repeated in the second cycle, the percentage of students' average scores increased again to 89.28%. Meanwhile, in the analysis of data for classical learning completeness in the initial test, the percentage of classical learning students was only 21.42% and did not meet the set learning completeness standard, which was 70%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle after taking action, the percentage of classical learning completeness reached 89.28%. The conclusion is that the application of the project-based learning model assisted by animation video media can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students of SD Alkhairaat Tondo.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran yang digunakan di MTs Miftahul Ulum masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang menyebabkan peserta didik kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran yang mengakibatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di bawah KKTP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil peserta didik melalui model Learning Cycle 5E Berbasis Inquiry dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTs Miftahul Ulum. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII MTs Miftahul Ulum yang berjumlah 18 orang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas desain Kemmis dan Mc Tanggart. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Dari hasil tes peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Learning Cycle 5E Berbasis Inquiry pada siklus I mendapat nilai rata-rata 74 dengan persentase ketuntasan 67%, dan pada siklus II meningkat dengan nilai rata 84 dan persentase ketuntasan 89% dan pada aktifitas peserta didik menunjukan peningkatan yang positif. Dari temuan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Learning Cycle 5E Berbasis Inquiry dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.
