Abstract

Iodine deficiency remains a significant nutritional issue in Indonesia, particularly affecting rural communities with limited access to accurate health information. This research-based community engagement aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention on household knowledge and practices related to iodized salt usage in Bontobakka Hamlet, Jeneponto Regency. The intervention employed a door-to-door campaign using poster media and involved 31 female respondents who were assessed at three time points: pre-intervention, post-intervention, and six months post-intervention. The study utilized a summative evaluative approach based on the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) to measure program impact. The Friedman test revealed a statistically significant improvement in knowledge levels (p = 0.028), with 87.1% of participants achieving a "good" knowledge score at the final assessment. Integration of religious values through Q.S. Al-Baqarah: 168 enhanced community acceptance, demonstrating the importance of culturally sensitive messaging. The findings underscore the value of combining visual, contextual, and faith-based strategies to promote iodized salt consumption and address Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

Ijtihad is an essential means in the renewal of Islamic law and has been the subject of intense debate. In the modern context, ijtihad is used to address the challenges and social changes in society. From the time of Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Allah sent messengers to guide humanity towards the truth. When people encounter issues not explicitly addressed in the Quran and Sunnah, Allah grants the freedom to use reason (ijtihad) to solve those problems, provided that the principles of the Quran and Sunnah, as the primary sources of law, are followed. The need for ijtihad has continuously increased with the growing number of issues faced by Muslims after the death of the Prophet, especially as the Islamic territories expanded and issues became more complex. This paper will discuss the dynamics of ijtihad in the renewal of modern Islamic law and its challenges, using a juridical-historical approach. This research is a descriptive qualitative library research, utilizing various literary sources to analyze and explain the role of ijtihad in the renewal of modern Islamic law. The results of the study indicate that ijtihad plays a crucial role in the renewal of Islamic law, allowing it to remain relevant and responsive to the changing times, despite facing various challenges.

Abstract

Kemampuan public speaking merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh individu, terutama bagi anggota komunitas yang aktif dalam kegiatan edukatif dan sosial. Komunitas Sahabat Pulau Chapter Majene sebagai komunitas berbasis kepemudaan yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan, menunjukkan kebutuhan akan peningkatan kapasitas komunikasi anggotanya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking anggota komunitas melalui pelatihan terstruktur dan partisipatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), dengan empat tahapan kegiatan yaitu persiapan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk teori dan praktik langsung dengan melibatkan 25 peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada skor pemahaman peserta, dari rata-rata 56,4 (pre-test) menjadi 82,8 (post-test). Selain itu, peningkatan keterampilan juga tampak pada aspek artikulasi dan intonasi, kepercayaan diri, serta struktur penyampaian materi. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas komunikasi peserta, serta mendukung peran strategis komunitas dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan edukatif secara lebih persuasif dan profesional.

Abstract

AbstrakDesa Rappang Barat, yang terletak di Kecamatan Mapilli, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, merupakan wilayah dengan potensi peternakan yang cukup besar, terutama dalam pemeliharaan ternak sapi dan kambing. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi bersama pihak desa, diketahui bahwa sebagian besar peternak masih memiliki pemahaman terbatas terkait manajemen kesehatan ternak, yang berisiko meningkatkan penyebaran penyakit, menurunkan produktivitas, serta berdampak negatif terhadap ketahanan pangan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, pada 18 Januari 2025 telah dilaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi di Aula Kantor Desa Rappang Barat yang diikuti oleh peternak setempat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai jenis-jenis penyakit ternak dan upaya pencegahannya, dengan metode ceramah interaktif yang dilanjutkan sesi tanya jawab, sehingga peserta tidak hanya menerima informasi secara pasif, tetapi juga dapat menyampaikan permasalahan yang mereka hadapi secara langsung. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan pemahaman peternak terhadap manajemen kesehatan ternak sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan produktivitas dan ketahanan pangan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta setelah mengikuti sosialisasi. Selain itu, peserta memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan ini, dan menganggap materi yang disampaikan sangat relevan dan aplikatif dalam praktik pemeliharaan ternak sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kegiatan sosialisasi ini dinilai efektif dan berhasil mencapai tujuannya, serta direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi di desa-desa lain dengan karakteristik serupa. Kata kunci: kesehatan ternak; pangan; penyakit ternak; rappang barat; sosialisai Abstract Rappang Barat Village, located in Mapilli Subdistrict, Polewali Mandar Regency, is an area with significant potential in livestock farming, particularly in the rearing of cattle and goats. However, identification conducted jointly with village officials revealed that most livestock farmers still have limited understanding of animal health management. A limited understanding of livestock management can elevate the risk of disease outbreaks, ultimately diminishing productivity and undermining community food security. To address this issue, a socialization activity was conducted to provide information on common livestock diseases and preventive measures. The event was held on January 18, 2025, at the Village Hall of Rappang Barat and involved local farmers as participants. The method used included an interactive lecture followed by a discussion session, allowing participants not only to receive information passively but also to raise the problems they face directly. The primary goal of this activity was to enhance the farmers’ knowledge and understanding of livestock health management as part of efforts to improve productivity and support food security. Evaluation findings revealed a notable enhancement in participants' comprehension after participating in the session. Moreover, participants responded positively to the activity, considering the material to be relevant and applicable in their daily livestock practices. Based on these outcomes, the socialization program was deemed effective in achieving its objectives and is recommended to be replicated in other villages with similar characteristics. Keywords: animal health; food security; livestock diseases; rappang barat; socialization

Abstract

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia holds a strategic role within the state system, particularly in upholding the integrity and supremacy of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. One of its principal authorities is the judicial review of laws against the Constitution, aimed at annulling legal norms that contradict the 1945 Constitution and ensuring the protection of citizens’ constitutional rights. This article seeks to provide an in-depth explanation of the procedural mechanisms for judicial review cases at the Constitutional Court and to assess the extent to which these procedures are effective in safeguarding constitutional protection. The study employs a normative juridical approach with descriptive and interpretative analysis of legislation and Constitutional Court decisions. The findings indicate that although the procedural framework has been systematically regulated, its implementation still faces challenges, particularly concerning public access to constitutional justice and the effectiveness of decision enforcement.

Abstract

Genosida merupakan salah satu kejahatan paling berat dalam hukum internasional yang diatur melalui Statuta Roma dan ditangani oleh Pengadilan Kriminal Internasional (ICC). Dalam ketentuan tersebut, pelaku genosida dikenai sanksi pidana berupa penjara, denda, dan penyitaan aset. Namun, efektivitas dan keadilan sanksi tersebut masih menjadi perdebatan, terutama jika dibandingkan dengan perspektif hukum Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara kritis ketentuan sanksi genosida dalam hukum internasional dengan meninjau ulang melalui sudut pandang Fikih Dauly, yakni cabang fikih yang mengatur hubungan antarnegara dalam Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis-normatif dan analisis komparatif antara Statuta Roma dan prinsip-prinsip Fikih Dauly. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanksi yang ditetapkan dalam hukum internasional dianggap belum sepadan menurut Fikih Dauly, yang menekankan prinsip qisas dan hukuman yang lebih berat, terutama terhadap kejahatan yang menghilangkan nyawa banyak orang secara sistematis. Oleh karena itu, perlu dipertimbangkan adanya harmonisasi nilai-nilai keadilan universal dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum Islam dalam merumuskan sanksi terhadap kejahatan genosida.

Abstract

Background: Individuals with diabetes have a 2–6 times higher risk of developing blood clots, which can contribute to cognitive dysfunction. Elevated blood sugar levels can lead to complications in the blood vessels, including those in the central nervous system. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between age, gender, blood sugar levels, and duration of illness with cognitive function in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Methods: This was an observational analytic study using a cross-sectional design. Results: Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between age and cognitive function in T2DM patients (p = 0.001, r = –0.859), indicating a very strong negative correlation. No significant relationship was found between gender and cognitive function (p = 0.850, r = –0.037), indicating a very weak correlation. Blood sugar levels were significantly associated with cognitive function (p = 0.001, r = –0.637), reflecting a strong negative correlation. Duration of illness was also significantly related to cognitive function (p = 0.001, r = –0.843), indicating a very strong negative correlation. Conclusion: here is a significant negative correlation between age, blood sugar levels, and duration of illness with cognitive function in T2DM patients, while gender shows no significant relationship. Further studies with additional variables, larger samples, and different methodologies are recommended to strengthen the evidence and provide more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri 6 Palu, one of the pioneer schools in Central Sulawesi. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involved three teachers representing Phase A (grades 1-2), Phase B (grades 3-4), and Phase C (grades 5-6). Data were collected through classroom observations during three learning sessions, semi-structured interviews conducted over three days (60 minutes each), and document analysis of teaching modules, learning objectives flow, and learning outcomes. The findings reveal that curriculum implementation has been carried out effectively across three stages. In the planning stage, teachers systematically analyzed government-provided learning outcomes, developed learning objectives flow, and created comprehensive teaching modules aligned with curriculum requirements. During implementation, teachers employed student-centered pedagogical approaches including differentiated instruction, varied teaching methods, and contextual learning appropriate to students' developmental levels. In the assessment stage, teachers utilized diagnostic, formative, and summative methods through multiple instruments including oral tests, written examinations, and performance-based assessments. The study demonstrates that intensive professional development and institutional commitment enable successful curriculum implementation. However, variations in implementation sophistication suggest the need for sustained professional learning communities to support continuous pedagogical refinement. Future research should examine implementation across diverse school contexts and include student learning outcomes and stakeholder perspectives.

Abstract

The purpose of law is closely related to natural rights, because humans as legal subjects have the right to freedom, the right to life, and the right to property. These rights originate from human nature which is independent of all forms of legal systematics and constitutional practices. The logical consequence that needs to be understood is that the government must be able to provide guarantees to all its citizens, not oppress or exploit them. Automatically, every citizen has the same rights and opportunities in various fields. One of the rights for citizens guaranteed by the constitution is political rights. Of the hundreds of millions of Indonesian citizens there is a group called people with disabilities. Their existence is accommodated through Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. In Article 13 letter (a) of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities, it is stated that they have political rights, namely to vote and be elected to public office. These statutory regulations open up the same opportunities as people in general and at the same time confirm that the constitutional mandate in Article 27 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia has been carried out. So the logical consequence is that public office is no longer a privilege for elite groups, so that people with disabilities can elect and be elected as executive officials, members of the legislature or judiciary, as well as positions in other institutions or bodies. People with disabilities are not miserable people whose existence is underestimated. In the siyāsah perspective, they are the same as other humans. Islam never discredits certain groups, but Islam mainstreams justice and generalizes services for its people, including people with disabilities. This article underlines the need for active involvement of people with disabilities in Indonesia in political activities. In fact, they also have the same opportunities and opportunities as people in general to fulfill all kinds of constitutional rights, such as voting and being elected in general elections. Meanwhile, the context of Siyasah Syar'iyyah is strengthened through His words in Surah al-Maidah verse 8 that the command to do justice to humans includes fulfilling all the rights of people with disabilities among us.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dan e-commerce telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur. UMKM di wilayah Balikpapan menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan dan perkembangan usaha mereka. Kota ini, sebagai salah satu pusat ekonomi di Kalimantan Timur, memiliki potensi besar, namun para pelaku UMKM harus beradaptasi dengan dinamika lokal dan global. Ada beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, yaitu distribusi logistik, akses permodalan dan kurangnya literasi digital.  Namun, tantangan yang dihadapi UMKM di wilayah RT 37, Kelurahan Telaga Sari, terutama terkait kurangnya keterampilan digital dan pemahaman tentang platform e-commerce, membatasi kemampuan mereka dalam memanfaatkan peluang ekonomi digital. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas digital pelaku UMKM di wilayah tersebut melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan intensif terkait penggunaan e-commerce dan strategi pemasaran digital. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan praktis, serta evaluasi berbasis survei dan wawancara. Hasil dari program menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 20 orang peserta pelatihan dan 2 pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Telaga Sari mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan platform e-commerce, yang berdampak pada peningkatan omzet usaha dan perluasan akses pasar. Program ini memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan daya saing UMKM lokal di era digital, serta memperkuat ekonomi lokal melalui pemberdayaan digital di sektor UMKM. Selain itu, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah daerah dan komunitas lokal dalam pengembangan kapasitas digital di wilayah tersebut.
