Abstract

Hypertension contributes 9.4 million deaths from cardiovascular disease each year. The cause of hypertension is because some people have a bad lifestyle, people often do not maintain their diet and people often eat salted and fatty foods. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence Primary Hypertension in Dusun Bukong, Pandu Raya Village, West Kalimantan in 2018. This research method used quantitative methods with descriptive correlation design and cross sectional approach. By using the Slovin formula a total sample of 197 respondents was obtained. The results of the study, by conducting a univariate analysis found that most respondents had a level of knowledge related to hypertension (62.9%), more than half had a good lifestyle (58.4%), income above the MSE (57.9%) and more of half had hypertension (54.9%). From the bivariate analysis using the Kendall's Tau B test and Kendall's Tau C, the results of the study are found: there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p value = 0,000), lifestyle (p value = 0,000) and income (p value = 0.047) with the incidence of hypertension . Discussion: Knowledge, lifestyle and family income in Dusun Bukong, Pandu Raya village have a significant relationship with the incidence of hypertension, so that health workers are expected to continue to provide support and motivation to the community to continue to improve their knowledge and a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

The golden apple snail is a significant pest that damages crops and can lead to crop failure because it has a habit of consuming various soft plants, including young rice plants. Golden snail shells have a high calcium carbonate content of around 60.56%. Large calcium content can be used as a source for the production of calcium nitrate fertilizer. The stages in making calcinit fertilizer are washing the shell of gold snails and drying for 1-2 days. After that, size reduction is carried out to 50 mesh. After that, the calcination process was carried out with a variable temperature of 700,750,800,850,900 ℃ for 4 hours. The calcined shell is dissolved with HNO3 with a variable of 1-5 N for 1 hour. After that the solution is filtered from impurities and neutralized to pH 7. After that the solution is crystallized into white crystals. The largest Ca and N content was obtained at a calcining temperature of 900 and HNO3 5 N concentrations, namely Ca of 21.94% and N of 16.52%. The results showed that the higher the calcining temperature and the higher the HNO3 content, the higher the Ca content and N content

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital economy has significantly driven MSME activity on marketplaces like Tokopedia, generating vast heterogeneous datasets. This study conducted a comparative evaluation of six clustering algorithms, including K-Means, Agglomerative Clustering, and GMM, using the Silhouette Score, Davies–Bouldin Index (DBI), and Calinski–Harabasz Index (CHI). Using a standardized Tokopedia MSME dataset from Yogyakarta, empirical results showed Silhouette scores ranging from 0.050 to 0.057, DBI from 0.45 to 0.53, and CHI from 950 to 1310. Although indicating low absolute cluster separation, these values facilitated meaningful relative comparisons. Among the tested algorithms, agglomerative clustering with Ward linkage demonstrated the best relative performance and consistency. Metric variability was examined through multiple runs to ensure stability. The analysis identified three segments: high-performing, medium-performing, and high-potential MSMEs, serving as a foundation for data-driven strategies. These findings underscore the necessity of a consistent multi-metric evaluation approach in MSME big data clustering studies.

Abstract

Coal fly ash is an industrial waste containing aluminium and iron with potential for reuse as coagulant materials. This study aimed to recover aluminium and iron from coal fly ash using Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) with hydrochloric acid, and to evaluate their application in textile wastewater treatment. Variations in HCL concentration (1-5 M) and extraction time (30-50 minutes) were examined to determine optimal conditions. The result showed that the highest recovery was achieved at 5 M HCL and 40 minutes, with aluminium and iron recovery of 48.4% and 78%. The extracted aluminium and iron were successfully applied as coagulants in textile wastewater treatment, resulting in significant reductions in color to 30 Pt-Co, turbidity to 26.9 NTU, and TSS to 46 mg/L, while maintaining a stable pH value at 6. All treated wastewater parameters complied with the applicable discharge standards. These finding demonstrate that MAE is an effective and promising approach for recovering aluminum and iron from coal fly ash and production sustainable coagulant for industrial wastewater treatment. Abstract

This study aims to synthesize and characterize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) based on silver nitrate (AgNO₃) using Leucaena leucocephala leaf extract as a natural bioreducing agent, and to determine the effects of AgNO₃ concentration and stirring time on their morphology, stability, and antibacterial activity. The synthesis was carried out using AgNO₃ concentrations of 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 mM, with stirring times of 2, 3, and 4 hours at room temperature. UV-Vis analysis showed that a concentration of 5.5 mM and stirring time of 3 hours produced a maximum absorption peak at approximately 430 nm, indicating the successful formation of stable silver nanoparticles. SEM analysis revealed spherical-shaped AgNPs with particle sizes ranging from 50 to 100 nm. The antibacterial activity test against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 showed an inhibition zone of 11.67 mm at 100% concentration, categorized as strong antibacterial activity. Therefore, the combination of 5.5 mM AgNO₃ concentration and 3 hours of stirring time was determined to be the optimum condition for producing stable silver nanoparticles with high antibacterial potential.
