Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship on the economic independence of students at the Raden Intan State Islamic University of Lampung, with Internal Locus of Control as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was used, employing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through an online questionnaire completed by 96 respondents who were entrepreneurs at the State Islamic University Raden Intan Lampung. Based on the background of this article, the method used in this study was a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The results showed that entrepreneurship had a positive and significant effect on economic independence. Meanwhile, internal locus of control was not able to moderate the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic independence. These findings indicate that the higher the level of student involvement in entrepreneurial activities, the greater their financial independence. From an Islamic business perspective, entrepreneurship and internal locus of control are noble efforts to achieve economic independence. However, they must be complemented by Tawakkal (trust in God) to ensure sustainability, avoid arrogance, and reject resignation. This study recommends expanding the research object so that it is not limited to certain students, allowing the generalization of results to be tested in a wider area.

Abstract

The increase in income of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is an important factor in supporting regional economic growth and poverty alleviation. However, MSMEs still face various challenges, such as limited access to financing, low quality of human resources (HR), and suboptimal marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the effect of financing, HR quality, and marketing on MSME income, with business development assistance as a moderating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method targeting MSME actors who are customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in Bandar Lampung City and who participated in development assistance programs during the 2020–2024 period. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine both direct effects and moderating effects among variables. The results indicate that financing, HR quality, and marketing have a positive and significant effect on MSME income. Furthermore, development assistance is proven to strengthen the influence of financing, HR quality, and marketing on MSME income. These findings emphasize that sustainable development assistance plays a strategic role in optimizing the utilization of Islamic financing, enhancing human resource capacity, and improving marketing effectiveness to increase MSME performance and competitiveness.

Abstract

Introduction: The surge in medical schools in Indonesia necessitates continuous quality improvement, particularly in curriculum and assessment. This study examines the correlation between first-year medical students' performance in basic medical science laboratory activities and their Grade Point Average (GPA).Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted using secondary data from a new Medical School in Bekasi, Indonesia. student performance was reflected through the average final laboratory scores in the first year, while the GPA encompasses both medical and non-medical courses, totaling 21 credit hours. Data were collected from the university's information system database. Pearson's correlation test was used for normally distributed data, while Spearman's test was applied for non-normally distributed data.Results: The study included 27 first-year medical students with complete laboratory activity scores and GPA from the first two semesters. Significant positive correlations were found between laboratory performance in all subjects and GPA: Anatomy (R = 0.789, p < 0.0001), Histology (R = 0.7810, p < 0.0001), Microbiology (R = 0.6781, p = 0.0001), and Anatomical Pathology (R = 0.7024, p < 0.0001). These results highlight a strong correlation between laboratory performance and GPA in new medical school in Bekasi.Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of laboratory-based experiential learning in enhancing academic achievement among first-year medical students. Despite some limitations of this study, future research should explore the additional factors and include more medical schools to better understand the impact of laboratory performance on academic success.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Office Syndrome merupakan kumpulan keluhan muskuloskeletal yang disebabkan oleh postur kerja statis, durasi kerja yang lama, dan penggunaan fasilitas kerja yang tidak ergonomis. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa postur kerja yang buruk, desain workstation yang tidak ergonomis, penggunaan komputer berkepanjangan, serta beban kerja mental yang tinggi berkontribusi terhadap gangguan muskuloskeletal (MSDs). Namun, penelitian yang mengkaji pengaruh ergonomi dan beban kerja mental secara bersamaan pada dosen dan tenaga kependidikan di perguruan tinggi kesehatan masih terbatas. Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh faktor ergonomi dan beban kerja mental terhadap kejadian Office Syndrome pada dosen dan tenaga kependidikan . Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif potong lintang pada 88 responden secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner ergonomi, NASA-TLX, dan kuesioner Office Syndrome. Uji validitas menunjukkan r hitung > r tabel (0,361) dan uji reliabilitas Cronbach’s Alpha > 0,7. Hasil uji Somers’d menunjukkan hubungan signifikan ergonomi dan Office Syndrome (p= 0,032) serta beban kerja mental dan Office Syndrome (p= 0,007). Analisis regresi logistik ordinal menunjukkan ergonomi (p= 0,030), beban kerja mental (p= 0,019) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat Office Syndrome. Kesimpulan: Faktor ergonomi dan beban kerja mental berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keluhan office syndrome. Perlu dilakukan intervensi berupa perbaikan lingkungan kerja ergonomis serta pengelolaan beban kerja mental untuk menurunkan risiko keluhan fisik lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.
