Abstract

This study aims to investigate the factors that sustain and enhance repurchase intention among consumers of local fashion brands in Indonesia. We posit that to foster continuous patronage, local entrepreneurs must prioritize customer satisfaction derived from past purchasing experiences, while also ensuring high product quality and competitive pricing. These elements are hypothesized to cultivate brand love, an emotional attachment that subsequently drives repeat purchases. Employing a quantitative approach, this study utilizes hypothesis testing on cross-sectional data gathered via an online survey with a Likert scale. The population comprises young adult consumers (aged 18 and above) who have purchased products from local fashion brands at least three times within the last six months. The findings confirm a significant positive relationship between recovery satisfaction and repurchase intention. Furthermore, product quality is shown to positively influence brand love, which in turn, positively affects repurchase intention. The analysis also reveals that brand love acts as a significant moderator, strengthening the association between recovery satisfaction and repurchase intention. From a managerial perspective, it is crucial to actively solicit and respond to customer feedback, maintain positive communication, ensure approachability, and demonstrate empathy. Strengthening brand love through consistent, positive customer experiences is essential for building a robust brand identity. This study recommends that future research explore additional variables influencing repurchase intention, such as brand trust, brand experience, and brand loyalty. The findings herein provide a foundation for evaluating consumer behavior patterns within the broader apparel and accessories market.

Abstract

Reading literacy continues to represent a significant educational challenge among junior high school students. This study investigates the implementation and effectiveness of a classroom literacy program in enhancing students’ reading skills at SMPN 1 Balaraja. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The participants consisted of 15 seventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling and two English teachers as key informants. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and reading tests. The research instruments were developed based on classroom literacy indicators and validated by two English education experts. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by descriptive analysis of students reading test results. The findings indicate that the classroom literacy program has been implemented consistently and institutionally across grade levels in line with the Independent Curriculum. The program contributes positively to students vocabulary development, pronunciation, and overall reading ability. However, its effectiveness is constrained by students low learning motivation, limited English proficiency, and insufficient support from family and community environments. In conclusion, the study suggests that classroom literacy programs can enhance students reading skills when supported by continuous pedagogical guidance and strong collaboration among schools, families, and the wider community.

Abstract

This study investigates instructional challenges faced by a non-Thai teacher in teaching English to Thai primary students within a cross-cultural classroom context. While previous research has primarily emphasized students’ perceptions of foreign teachers, limited attention has been given to classroom-based instructional processes. This qualitative study involved 12 Thai primary students from Grades 3 to 6. Data were collected through classroom observations, reflective teaching notes, students’ drawings, and short interviews and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that instructional challenges emerged in managing student engagement, delivering comprehensible English input, addressing affective barriers to participation, navigating the absence of Thai language support, and managing cross-cultural novelty in the classroom. These challenges required ongoing instructional adjustment, including the use of visual support, modeling, repetition, and peer assistance to facilitate understanding and participation. The study highlights the complexity of teaching young learners in cross-cultural EFL settings and underscores the importance of adaptive classroom practices in multilingual primary education contexts.
