Abstract

Media pembelajaran harus disesuikan dengan perkembangan teknologi supaya mampu meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Peserta didik saat ini masuk dalam generasi Z yang dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sangat dekat dengan media sosial. Media sosial yang sangat populer saat ini adalah aplikasi tiktok. Aplikasi tiktok mampu diolah menjadi sebuah media pembelajaran IPS yang menarik dan interaktif. Tujuan penilitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran penggunaan aplikasi tiktok sebagai media pembelajaran IPS dan penagruh penggunaan aplikasi tiktok terhadap minat belajar IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kausal pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1 Penggunaan Aplikasi TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran IPS pada peserta didik di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 22 Semarang dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 67,4%; (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan penggunaan aplikasi TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 22 Semarang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang dibuktikan dari nilai thitung sebesar 3.303 dan sig sebesar 0,001< 0,05 sehingga semakin tinggi penggunaan aplikasi Tiktok sebagai media pembelajaran maka minat belajar siswa akan meningkat juga. Besarnya pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap minat belajar siswa yaitu 12,4%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the integration of cultural norms and values in an effort to realize a clean village through Islamic communication. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with field research method to deeply understand the phenomenon of the Clean Village tradition in East Halongonan Sub-district. The results showed that the Clean Village Tradition in East Halongonan Sub-district contains various norms and values that reflect the acculturation of culture, religion, and local philosophy. The norms include social norms in the form of the spirit of mutual cooperation and collective participation regardless of social status; customary norms that regulate ritual procedures from generation to generation such as the preparation of offerings and customary deliberations; and religious norms that emphasize the implementation of joint prayers and recitations according to Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, the values reflected in this tradition include the value of togetherness and mutual cooperation as a form of solidarity, the value of gratitude and respect for ancestors as a form of spirituality and cultural preservation, the value of social responsibility that invites all residents to maintain village harmony, and the value of deliberation that reflects democratic decision-making. All of these norms and values are in line with the philosophy of Poda Na Lima, making this tradition not only a cultural heritage, but also a means of shaping the social and spiritual character of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning of skincare usage among male students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) Medan, using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory design. The study analyzes this social phenomenon through Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, which focuses on how meaning is created and communicated through signs in society. Six key concepts from Barthes' semiotic theory—sign, signifier, signified, denotation, connotation, and myth—are used to analyze how skincare usage is understood within the local context of the students. The research utilizes purposive sampling to select five informants: Imam, Shandy, Iqbal, Septian, and Haikal, all male students at UINSU Medan. Data was collected through in-depth interviews to explore their experiences, motivations, and views on skincare usage, as well as secondary data from literature related to global culture and male skincare. The findings show that the use of skincare among male students at UINSU Medan is influenced by several factors, including beauty standards popularized by the media and global culture, as well as religious values they adhere to. From a semiotic perspective, skincare products can be seen as "signs" representing self-awareness about appearance, with the "signifiers" being products such as facial cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. The "signified" is a shift in the understanding of masculinity, where skincare is no longer seen as feminine but as part of modern male identity. In "denotative" terms, skincare usage is understood as an act of maintaining cleanliness and skin health, while "connotatively," it reflects a change in the concept of masculinity, becoming more flexible. The "myth" that emerges is that self-care is a right for every individual, regardless of gender, and can be practiced by anyone without altering their masculine identity. This study provides insights into how global beauty culture influences the behavior of male students in self-care, considering the local social and cultural context in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital archival governance on service efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in Makassar City. The data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving government officials, policymakers, and IT personnel. The findings indicated that the effectiveness of digital archival governance was shaped by institutional preparedness, supportive legal frameworks, community engagement, and technological infrastructure. Capacity-building programs and professional training were essential to enhance the digital competencies of public servants, while participatory governance mechanisms contributed to greater public trust and access. Additionally, emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence presented significant opportunities for optimizing archival systems, though they also introduce challenges related to cybersecurity and ethical management. This study contributes to the discourse on smart governance by highlighting both best practices and obstacles encountered in implementing digital transformation within public administration. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of collaborative governance models, adaptive institutional strategies, and ongoing technological innovation to ensure inclusive and sustainable urban development. Makassar’s experience offers valuable insights for other cities aiming to strengthen digital archival governance as a foundation for improved public service delivery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi prinsip komunikasi Islam, yaitu Qaulan Sadidan (perkataan yang benar) dan Qaulan Ma’rufan (perkataan yang baik), dalam mendukung program pembangunan di pedesaan Sumatera Utara. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi literatur yang mengacu pada teks Al-Qur’an, hadis, dan berbagai kajian terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Qaulan Sadidan diterapkan melalui kejujuran dan transparansi dalam penyampaian informasi, penyelesaian konflik secara terbuka, serta upaya mencegah penyebaran informasi palsu. Sementara itu, Qaulan Ma’rufan diwujudkan dalam bentuk komunikasi yang santun dan konstruktif, yang efektif meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan sekaligus meminimalkan konflik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan kedua prinsip tersebut mendukung keberhasilan pembangunan yang berkelanjutan, menciptakan komunikasi yang harmonis, serta membangun kepercayaan antara pelaksana program dan masyarakat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip komunikasi Islam ke dalam strategi pembangunan untuk mendorong perubahan sosial yang positif dan memberdayakan masyarakat sebagai subjek pembangunan.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic necessity in strengthening the resilience of government organizations, especially in the face of health crises, natural disasters, and socio-economic pressures. This study aims to analyze how the integration of technology in public services contributes to enhancing organizational resilience in Indonesia’s public sector. A qualitative approach was employed using a case study design focused on a government institution implementing Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE). Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, policy document analysis, and participatory observation. The findings reveal that technological integration through SPBE and digital platforms has improved service continuity, enhanced institutional adaptive capacity, and fostered faster decision-making and cross-sectoral collaboration. However, challenges such as digital infrastructure disparities, uneven digital literacy, and fragmented policy coordination between central and local governments remain significant barriers. The study concludes that technology must be strategically positioned as a long-term component in building public sector resilience.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the fading of students' politeness when interacting and communicating both to lecturers and parents as well as the community is a challenge for academics to improve it. Character education is very important for student functionaries as an example for other students. This research method uses a literature review that will review sources or works published in journals, books or papers. The results of the research are that in order for students to have noble morals, character education must be applied in universities. All lecturers as educators are responsible for fostering the morality and character of students. Students tend to imitate the attitudes and actions of teachers, so they make lecturers as role models, so they should provide a good example for students.

Abstract

Artikel ini menggali peran sentral Pancasila dalam membentuk fondasi yang kokoh bagi suatu negara. Pancasila, sebagai landasan filosofis negara Indonesia, memainkan peran kunci dalam membimbing negara menuju harmoni, persatuan, dan kemakmuran. Penelitian ini menelusuri konteks sejarah, menyoroti signifikansi Pancasila dalam proses pembangunan bangsa. Tujuan penelitian mencakup pemahaman bagaimana Pancasila berkontribusi pada nilai-nilai demokrasi, keadilan sosial, dan keragaman budaya. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini menggunakan tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif dan analisis peristiwa sejarah kunci. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa Pancasila berfungsi sebagai kompas bagi tata kelola yang etis, mendorong inklusivitas dan ketahanan nasional. Implikasi dari fondasi Pancasila yang kuat sangat luas, mempromosikan pembangunan berkelanjutan, kohesi sosial, dan kolaborasi internasional. Penelitian ini menegaskan relevansi yang berkelanjutan dan kontribusi praktis Pancasila dalam membentuk lanskap nasional yang harmonis dan sejahtera.

Abstract

When the rainy season arrives, one thing we often hear about is flooding in the lower regions. This can happen if land on higher plains loses part of its function due to several reasons, such as development that does not pay attention to green open space, and if rainwater is not captured and reused, causing water to flow directly to lower plains. Rainwater harvesting is a conservation and technological method used to collect and store rainwater from the roofs of buildings, ground surfaces, roads, or hills. One of the methods of harvesting rainwater that collects and stores it at ground level is infiltration wells and biopore infiltration holes. This research supports SDGs 6, Clean Water and Sanitation. The purpose of this research is to create a rainwater harvesting model expected to provide great benefits in flood prevention, with the location at SMPN 24 Semarang. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The results of research in the field show that the method of harvesting rainwater through a roof system, namely capturing rainwater in gutters which is then stored in a water storage reservoir, is very suitable to be applied at SMPN 24 Semarang, considering that around the building there are gardens and taman that require watering, so the water collected can be used to water plants. Next is the biopore infiltration hole, which has the benefit of absorbing water and can also compost organic waste into compost, so that the plants in the garden and taman are more fertile.
