Abstract

Cofferdam is a building in the form of earth, stone, concrete or masonry filling and holds water, prevents flooding, provides irrigation. The building has many functions such as for agriculture, power generation, and tourist attractions. Cofferdam will also be very helpful in flood control which will control flood water so that it will not overflow excessively which endangers the surrounding community. Besides having great benefits. If the cofferdam collapses (broken) it will cause flash floods that result in casualties. Therefore the cofferdam must be designed safely and technically feasible. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative approach using the 2012 GEO-SLOPE program. The conclusions from the analysis of slope seepage and seepage stability are the Critical Safety Factors for cofferdam stability according to the results of the analysis after running SLOPE/W are 1.711 & 1.512 because it is higher than 1.5 (SNI 8460:2017 Geotechnical Requirements Design, This means that the stability of the cofferdam is safe. The modeling results show that the seepage discharge is 1.81x10-7 m3/s = 1.81x10-4 liters/sec = 15.64 liters/day which is smaller than the maximum allowable discharge of 50 liters/day. So it can be concluded that the seepage discharge is safe.

Abstract

The general properties of waves are refraction, reflection, bending (diffraction), interference and polarization. Sound is a form of wave and is in accordance with the law of wave refraction where waves coming from a less dense medium to a denser medium will be refracted closer to the normal line or vice versa. Sound waves easily experience diffraction because sound waves in air have wavelengths of around several centimeters to several meters. Then basically every room, whether you feel it or not, will always have sound. This is inversely proportional to light which has a wavelength of around 500 mm. Therefore, an interference reduction system using a passive bandpass interference filter on the podcast microphone is necessary to reduce interference. Test results carried out by filters used to reduce noise using Passive Band Pass. the waveform is still the original spectrum at 0 Hz – 120 Hz, the original sound conditions and does not cause interference, but interference occurs and filtering Category (Noise %) 10 – 40 low - 98 – 99 high.

Abstract

Economic globalization has brought significant changes to the labor market structure, where competition is no longer limited to the local or national level but extends across international borders. In this context, university graduates are required not only to possess academic knowledge but also innovative capabilities and entrepreneurial skills to compete globally. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2024 shows that 11.28% of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral graduates between August 2022 and August 2024 were unemployed, highlighting the urgency of strengthening entrepreneurship education. This research aims to analyze The Role of Entrepreneurship Education in Enhancing Students' Innovation Capability and Competitiveness in Facing the 4.0 Era. A qualitative method, through a literature review, was employed, analyzing various relevant sources such as journals, books, and articles published in the last five years. The results indicate that entrepreneurship education plays a crucial role in shaping an innovative mindset, building self-confidence, and preparing students to create their own job opportunities. Effective implementation requires competent lecturers, adequate infrastructure, and sustainable programs integrated with technological developments. Thus, entrepreneurship education not only enhances individual competencies but also contributes to reducing unemployment rates and supporting national economic growth.

Abstract

The high demand for electricity in the production process at PT Semen Padang requires a system that can cope with various kinds of disturbances. The problem is that the need for electrical loads is dynamic, especially in the short term, allowing fluctuations between electrical loads at uncertain times. A short-term electric energy consumption forecasting method is needed to determine load growth and distributed power supply. This research aims to use a fuzzy logic algorithm to perform short-term electrical energy consumption forecasting and compare the forecasting results with the actual load at PT Semen Padang. The results showed that short-term load forecasting for seven days using the fuzzy Mamdani method, namely Smallest of Maximum (SoM), obtained a percentage MAPE value of 8.15%. Meanwhile, the Weight of Average (WoA) Sugeno defuzzification method gets a portion of the MAPE value of 9.51%. The Sugeno method is more accurate than the Mamdani method in short-term electricity load forecasting for PPI Indarung V PT Semen Padang. If based on the time category, then forecasting the electricity load on holidays is better than predicting on weekdays. However, when viewed in terms of per day, in Wednesday has the smallest average MAPE value of 5.05%.

Abstract

Sharia-compliant hotels in Indonesia are increasingly challenged to maintain religious integrity while embracing digital transformation. This study investigates how transformational leadership supports the integration of digital technologies in accordance with Islamic principles, recognising that although leadership is not explicitly regulated, the operational guidelines provide a normative framework that leaders are expected to interpret and implement in practice. A qualitative observational approach was employed. Data were collected from nine Sharia hotels in Makassar and Malang. The data were analysed using a six-phase thematic analysis framework, which enabled the systematic identification, coding, and interpretation of patterns across the entire dataset. The findings reveal that transformational leadership, which is characterised by visionary direction, motivational influence, and supportive engagement, is crucial in aligning technological adaptation with Sharia values. Hotels with stronger leadership adherence to Islamic ethics were more adherent in implementing digital tools that uphold modesty, halal standards, and moral conduct. Conversely, hotels lacking in consistent leadership practices showed weaker integration of both digital systems and Sharia compliance. Transformational leadership is essential in harmonising innovation and Islamic values. The findings of this study provide practical implications for Sharia hotel managers and policymakers to integrate transformational leadership with digital strategies so that technological innovation can enhance competitiveness without compromising adherence to Sharia principles.

Abstract

In everyday life, communication is not just about transmitting messages; it involves complex verbal and nonverbal dimensions. The digital era, driven by the advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has brought significant changes in the way we interact. Its influence is strongly felt among teenagers who are actively involved in using gadgets. Although designed to facilitate communication, gadgets often become a potential source of problems in human interaction. This research uses a qualitative method with descriptive data analysis, focusing on the communication dynamics between parents and teenagers who actively use gadgets. The research results show that the use of the Batak language in verbal communication by parents is the main highlight, highlighting the cultural richness in family interaction. In addition to the verbal dimension, interaction is also observed through nonverbal communication including facial expressions, body movements, and body posture in the context of parent-teenager relationships.

Abstract

Digitalisation has emerged as a dominant trend in public service delivery, often regarded as a means to reduce costs, improve accessibility and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. However, as institutions adopt digital service models, critical questions remain regarding the urgency, effectiveness and potential shortcomings of such reforms. This study examines Indonesia’s public sector amid a wave of digital reforms, exploring the broader implications of cross-institutional digitalisation through the concept of the digi-service bubble. This refers to a condition where the pace of digital adoption exceeds the capacity for strategic planning and meaningful implementation. Data were collected via online surveys involving 50 participants, complemented by in-depth interviews with 20 informants. The research investigates public perceptions of digital services, particularly in relation to their necessity, accessibility and practical effects on everyday governance interactions. The findings highlight three key patterns. First, there is broad consensus on the importance of digitalisation. Second, perceptions vary based on educational background. Third, fragmented digital infrastructure remains a challenge, leading to redundancy and inefficient resource allocation. While digital transformation in public services is broadly supported, long-term success depends on strategic coordination, inclusivity and coherent policymaking. The study underscores the need for integrated digital infrastructure, widespread digital literacy and transparency in governance. These factors are vital to avoiding inefficient or poorly implemented digital initiatives, which typify the digi-service bubble.

Abstract

Generation Z, or Gen Z, provides a fresh and unique viewpoint on the administration of organizations. The Z-generation cohort has assimilated into the workforce and amalgamated with the elder generation. Their proficiency in digital technologies and propensity for autonomy pose both advantages and challenges to the competitiveness of organizations. This study conducts a comprehensive analysis of literature by closely examining fifty scholarly publications that have been published in the past eight years. The findings emphasize the importance of understanding the preferences and characteristics that Generation Z considers when choosing a workplace. Generation Z expects a management style that promotes teamwork and openness, combined with competitive pay, flexible work arrangements, and a strong company culture. They embody innovation, dynamism, and technological proficiency, making them a valuable resource for instigating transformations and augmenting competitiveness within organizations. Moreover, it is imperative for companies to grasp the behaviors, values, and operational methodologies of Gen Z. Consequently, organizations must dedicate resources to constructing a work environment that is both forward-thinking and diverse.
