Abstract

A predatory Lepidoptera that has the potential to be a biological control agents of the soft scale insect (Coccidae) on coffee plants (Coffea spp.) was found in Sukabumi, West Java. However, information regarding the species name of predatory Lepidoptera has never been reported in Indonesia. Literature for morphological identification of this predatory Lepidoptera species is limited. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify predator species molecularly. Predators were collected from coffee plantations that were infested by soft scale in Sukabumi, West Java. Identification using the PCR procedures of mitochondrial COI gene was carried out in the laboratory. The results show that the sample DNA sequences (629 bp) has a similarity level of 95.67% (GenBank) and 95.37% (BOLD Systems) to the Autoba rubra Hampson species. Based on phylogeny analysis, the sample is also closely related to Mataeomera spp. The DNA sequences alignment variation of sample and four species voucher A. rubra in the GenBank database was 7.58%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the predatory Lepidoptera preying on soft scale insects on coffee plants in Sukabumi are most closely related to A. rubra.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital marketing and conventional marketing on increasing the distribution sales of Unilever products in stores, agents, and stalls in Bekasi City. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of partner retailers of PT Rukun Mitra Sejati Bekasi 1 within the company’s distribution area, with a total sample of 30 business units selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, partial significance testing (t-test), and simultaneous significance testing (F-test). The results indicate that digital marketing has a strong and significant effect on distribution sales, as reflected by a t-value of 6.673 with a significance level of 0.000. Conventional marketing also shows a strong and significant influence on distribution sales, with a t-value of 6.420 and a significance level of 0.000. Simultaneously, both digital and conventional marketing variables demonstrate a very strong and significant impact on distribution sales, evidenced by an F-value of 24.071 with a significance level of 0.000. These findings highlight the strategic importance of integrating digital and traditional marketing approaches to improve distribution performance, particularly in small-scale retail sectors. This study provides practical insights for distributors and business practitioners in developing more effective and technology-adaptive marketing strategies to enhance sales performance.

Abstract

Perlindungan hak calon karyawan pada perjanjian kerja ada dalam hukum ketenagakerjaan, khususnya terkait penerapan masa percobaan kerja atau probation dalam Perjanjian Kerja Waktu Tertentu (PKWT). Dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan melarang adanya masa percobaan dalam PKWT, namun dalam praktik hubungan industrial masih ditemukan pemberlakuan masa percobaan yang berpotensi merugikan calon karyawan dan menimbulkan ketidakpastian hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perlindungan hukum terhadap hak calon karyawan atas penerapan masa percobaan dalam PKWT serta menelaah konsistensi penerapan norma hukum melalui putusan Pengadilan Hubungan Industrial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan kasus, melalui analisis terhadap Undang-Undang Ketenagakerjaan, Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja, serta putusan-putusan Pengadilan Hubungan Industrial dan Mahkamah Agung yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan masa percobaan dalam PKWT bertentangan dengan ketentuan hukum ketenagakerjaan dan asas perlindungan pekerja, serta berimplikasi pada perubahan status hubungan kerja dan pemenuhan hak-hak normatif pekerja. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penegasan norma dan pengawasan yang efektif guna menjamin perlindungan hak calon karyawan dan mewujudkan kepastian hukum dalam praktik ketenagakerjaan

Abstract

The apparel industry in Indonesia is a labor-intensive industry capable of absorbing a very large workforce. According to BPS (Central Statistics Agency) data in 2020, proportion of the workforce in the manufacturing industry sector, the industry accounts for 1.81% of the workforce out of a total of 13.61% of the total workforce or is in second place after the food industry. With a very large number of workers, it is only fitting that K3L be a common concern. Method for this research is using of literature review method, using secondary data sources originating from national journals related to the K3L application in the apparel industry. The result of sorting several journals obtained journals as many as 10 research journals. Purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of K3L in the apparel industry so that a broader picture of this implementation will be obtained. Based on the result of research, the conclusion can be gain are: 1) the number of research that related with occupational health and the environment in the apparel industry in Indonesia is still limited. Meanwhile, there are many journals related to work safety, 2) related with the application of work safety in the apparel industry in Indonesia, showing good implementation results, 3) in terms of work accident risk, it is more related to risk identification and risk analysis, while evaluation and risk control are still lacking.

Abstract

Background: Clinical coding accuracy is a vital factor in the financial stability of hospitals under the BPJS Health casemix system. Errors in clinical coding frequently lead to pending claims, which hinder the hospital's cash flow. Objective: This study aims to analyze the underlying causes of casemix coding issues in pending claims for BPJS Health patients at Hospital X. Method: This research employed a descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of two clinical coders, one casemix coordinator, and two physicians, as well as document observations of medical records and claim regulations. Result: The findings indicated a pending claim rate of 10.2%, with 33.3% of these cases caused specifically by clinical coding errors. The primary causes were categorized into three factors: (1) Human Resources, involving low coder competency in ICD-10/9-CM guidelines and medical pathognomonics; (2) Documentation Process, including incomplete medical resumes and a lack of clinical evidence provided by physicians; and (3) System, characterized by the infrequent socialization of the latest claim regulations and technical agreements. Conclusion: Accuracy in casemix coding is highly dependent on the synergy between comprehensive clinical documentation and the coder's expertise. Hospitals are recommended to implement continuous professional training and routine medical audits to minimize financial risks.

Abstract

Pineapple is one of important fruit crops in Indonesia. One of important problems in pineapple production is pest infestation.. This study aims to investigate the biology, demography, and life cycle of Dolichotetranychus floridanus Banks on two pineapple cultivars (Queen and Cayenne). Observation of mite development (eggs-adults) were conducted every 6 hours. Adults were observed everyday to record the fecundity. The life table was constructed from the survivor and fecundity of D. floridanus. Based on this table, the variables of population growth, including gross reproduction rate (GRR), net reproductive rate (R0), mean generation time (T) and increase intrinsic rate (r) were determined. The results showed that the GRR, R0, and r of D. floridanus in the Queen cultivar were higher than Cayenne cultivar, while the T in the Queen cultivar was lower. Queen cultivar more suitable for D. floridanus than Cayenne cultivar.

Abstract

Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) dan kutu daun merupakan organisme pengganggu tanaman (OPT) yang penting dalam bidang pertanian. TMV mudah ditularkan secara mekanis, virusnya sangat stabil, tular benih dan memiliki kisaran inang luas. Sementara itu, kutu daun merupakan hama kosmopolit dan sebagian besar berperan sebagai vektor virus. Saat ini tren pengelolaan OPT mengarah pada metode ramah lingkungan. Pemanfaatan Carbon dots (CDs), dalam pengelolaan OPT sebagai salah satu agens yang menjanjikan untuk pengelolaan OPT yang berkelanjutan, namun kajiannya masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyintesis CDs dari kulit nanas dan belimbing wuluh serta menguji potensinya dalam mengendalikan TMV dan kutu daun. CDs dikarakterisasi berdasarkan sifat optik, gugus fungsi, dan morfologi. Aktivitas antivirus diuji terhadap infeksi mekanis TMV pada tanaman indikator Chenopodium amaranticolor dengan penyemprotan daun sebelum dan sesudah inokulasi virus. Aktivitas insektisida CDs diuji terhadap Aphis gossypii melalui penyemprotan langsung pada kutu daun pada konsentrasi 100–400 ppm. Kedua jenis CDs berhasil disintesis dengan ukuran 5.5-9.8 nm dengan bentuk amorf dan kristal, serta memiliki karakter optik dan gugus fungsi yang khas sebagai CDs. Perlakuan CDs secara nyata memperpanjang periode inkubasi TMV dibandingkan kontrol. Aplikasi penyemprotan sebelum inokulasi virus lebih efektif dibandingkan setelah inokulasi, dengan tingkat penghambatan gejala lesio lokal nekrotik berkisar 31%–91% bergantung pada konsentrasi. Pada konsentrasi 400 ppm, CDs berpotensi sebagai bioinsektisida menyebabkan mortalitas kutu daun hingga 55%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa CDs dari kedua bahan alami berpotensi sebagai penginduksi ketahanan tanaman, memiliki aktivitas antivirus, dan aktivitas insektisida.
