Abstract

Pada pendidikan abad ke 21 mewajibkan peserta didik memiliki berbagai macam keterampilan. Salah satu keterampilan yang diukur dan sangat dipertimbangakan adalah kemampuan literasi sains. Faktanya, data hasil survei PISA menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa di Indonesia termasuk kategori rendah. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya literasi sains adalah model pembelajaran yang bersifat teacher center. Maka dari itu pendidik dituntut untuk memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat agar peserta didik dapat aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang bersifat student center dan dapat meningkatkan literasi sains adalah PBL (Problem Based Learning). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Polokarto TA 2021/2022 materi sistem ekskresi pada pembelajaran PBL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Pretest Postest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, PBL terbukti dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik SMP Negeri 3 Polokarto dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 56,64 yang dikategorikan tinggi. PBL juga berpengaruh terhadap literasi sains dengan nilai size effect sebesar 1,94. Selain itu, sebanyak 93,18% peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan model PBL tuntas dalam pemecahan masalah. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa PBL dapat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik.

Abstract

Desa Cabeyan di Kecamatan Bendosari, Sukoharjo memiliki lahan pekarangan yang sebagian dimanfaatkan untuk budi daya berbagai tanaman sayur, buah, dan tanaman obat. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan, terutama untuk budi daya tanaman empon-empon dan pengolahan empon-empon. Sasaran yang dituju yaitu Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) desa Cabeyan, agar dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan melalui pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu dengan edukasi kepada anggota KWT yang disampaikan secara lisan, dilanjutkan dengan praktek pembuatan produk dari empon-empon. Hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dari KWT terkait pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan untuk budi daya empon-empon, dari 61% menjadi 86%, dan peningkatan keterampilan dari KWT dalam mengolah empon-empon menjadi produk serbuk minuman instan.

Abstract

New alternatives are needed to change flavorings from chemicals to organic so that they do not have a bad impact on health. The study's results proved that giving MSG at a dose of 9 g / day to red blood cells caused the appearance of a micronucleus so that it indicated a mutagenic MSG. The potential of bromelin enzyme contained in pineapple fruit is able to break down proteins from tempe so that it can give rise to a savory taste that is generally found from other flavorings. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of bromelin extract pineapple, which is a tempe protein breaker as an organic flavoring sourced from various literatures. The research was conducted using a literature review method of reference sources such as google scholar and research gate. A total of 40 articles were found and then selected based on predetermined parameters resulting in 25 selected articles. From the results of the literature search obtained a percentage of 80% for the sampling method on the extraction method, 16% centrifuged and the method using extraction and centrifugation 4%. Meanwhile, judging from the variables studied, 52% were obtained regarding the activity of hydrolyzing proteins, 12% for the characterization of the enzyme bromelin, 8% for the mechanism of action of bromelin as an anti-bacterial and 4% in the stacking of meat, catalyzing peptide bonds, mobilization of bromelin enzymes, meat quality, decreased glucose levels, healing of lukan and physical quality of cheese curd. And when viewed from the part of the pineapple plant that is utilized 44% of the flesh of the pineapple fruit, 12% of the pineapple weevil, 8% each of the flesh of the fruit and the fruit weevil of the fruit, the skin of the pineapple fruit and the flesh of the young pineapple fruit and 4% each of the ripe pineapple weevil, the flesh of the ripe fruit, the stem and the final leaf of the pineapple plant. And when viewed from the use of the benefits of bromelin, a score of 36% was obtained to increase protein levels in the product, 20% to speed up the hydrolysis process, 12% to stack meat, 8% to inhibit streptococcus bacteria, and 4% each was used to hydrolyze collagen. Helps the fermentation process, anti-browning agents fund therapeutic genes.

Abstract

Cinnamon contains flavonoid compounds that can reduce diabetes blood glucose levels. Diabetes is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by impaired glucose metabolism. The use of injectable or oral chemical drugs is relatively expensive and produces side effects. One class of secondary metabolite compounds that can treat diabetes mellitus is flavonoids. One of the plants that contain flavonoids is Cinnamomum burmanii. The purpose of this study was to examine the extract of Cinnamomum burmanii stem bark in terms of the extraction method and the effective dose against diabetes. The method used is to study 33 selected articles to obtain 5 national journals, 10 international journals, and 8 indexed journals, totaling 23 articles. The results of the identification of 23 scientific articles show that the use of doses in the range 1-200 mg / kgBW by the maceration extraction method is 39.13%. The conclusion obtained from this review literature is that the use of cinnamon bark extract (Cinnamomum burmanii) by maceration method in the dose range 1-200 mg / kgBW can be used to reduce diabetes blood glucose levels

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu bidang yang sangat penting dan berpengaruh terhadap bidang lainnya. Salah satu fungsi pendidikan yaitu untuk untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan membentuk martabat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA) Nurul Yaqin merupakan lembaga pendidikan non-formal yang menyelenggarakn pendidikan Al-Qur’an dalam upaya untuk mengoptimalkan penguatan pendidikan karakter di lingkungan Dusun Congol, Desa Jagoan, Kecamatan Sambi, Kabupaten Boyolali. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter anak-anak di Dusun Congol Desa Jagoan melalui beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan di TPA Nurul Yaqin. Pada penelitian ini, berfokus kepada nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter kejujuran, kesantunan, kerjasama, disiplin, dan berani.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TPA Nurul Yaqin memiliki peran penting dalam mengoptimalkan penguatan pendidikan karakter anak-anak melalui pembimbingan, pendampingan, dan pelatihan secara terus menerus serta memberikan nasihat sehingga mampu membentuk nilai karakter kejujuran, kesantunan, kerjasama, kedisiplinan, dan berani. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi memberikan pengajaran bacaan Al-Qur’an secara mendalam, penghafalan surat-surat juz amma, penafsiran ayat Al-Qur’an, serta pembacaan dongeng islami. Selain itu juga diberikan variasi pembelajaran dengan berbasis game.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of multimodal text in the digital era is due to its capacity to facilitate more interactive and engaging communication. These texts employ a variety of modes of communication, including text, images, sound, video, and gestures. This research aims to describe how teachers incorporate multimodal text into their English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing classrooms. This research used a qualitative case study approach to examine two EFL teachers who teach in private secondary school in Indonesia. The research collected data through classroom observations, employing a qualitative case study approach. The researchers identified how teachers incorporate the use of multimodal texts in writing classes, specifically in relation to planning, organizing, identifying, and evaluating in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. Further research is necessary to determine the impact of using multimodal texts in EFL writing classes

Abstract

Learner autonomy plays a critical role in fostering students' accountability for their learning. Nevertheless, the teacher's contribution remains pivotal in acquainting students with autonomous learning and in advocating methods to enhance learner autonomy. The concepts addressed in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum support learner autonomy. Therefore, Researching how EFL teachers perceive and experience student autonomy in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum is crucial. The goal of this study is to investigate how EFL teachers perceive the concept of learner autonomy and what strategies they employ to support it. This qualitative study was carried out using the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum at senior high schools in Surakarta and the surrounding areas. In this study, semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were used to gather data. Teachers addressed an argument that decisions about students’ learning should involve them. The study's findings demonstrate that instructors have a positive perspective on student autonomy. It has been demonstrated that educators provide tactics that support students' learner autonomy.

Abstract

This article explores the Indonesian English course teachers’ perception on the use of multimodal teaching resources to enhance the learning experience of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. Multimodal resources, which integrate various modes of communication such as text, audio, visuals, and interactive elements, are designed to cater to different learning styles and preferences. The study highlights the benefits of multimodality, including increased student engagement, improved comprehension, etc. This study used qualitative research methodology to gain the teachers’ perception of multimodal teaching resources implementation. The participants were experienced English course teachers over three years teaching in the Ruang Guru platform. Furthermore, the researcher used semi-structured interviews to collect the data. Despite the advantages, the article also discusses the challenges associated with implementing multimodal resources, such as technological barriers and the time required for resource creation. The findings showed that teachers really understand the term of multimodal teaching resources before conducting it in their teaching and learning process. It found that the utilization of multimodal teaching resources has several advantages for teachers to support their teaching, however in preparing and using these multimodal resources, teachers encounter several obstacles and difficulties. By embracing multimodality and addressing these challenges, educators can create a more inclusive and effective learning environment for EFL students.

Abstract

Digital transformation in financial management has become the main focus for companies to achieve business success in the digital era. This research then aims to see the effect of digital transformation in financial management on efficiency, risk management, relations with external parties, and financial decision-making. The research method used in this research is qualitative research through library research. The data used in this study comes from the results of previous research and studies. The results of the study show that digital transformation in financial management brings significant benefits, such as increased operational efficiency through the automation of financial processes, real-time access to financial data for faster and more accurate decision-making, and improved relations with external parties through increased accessibility and the quality of financial services. However, challenges such as the security and privacy of financial data, cultural changes, and choosing the right technology solutions must also be addressed with care. To succeed in digital transformation in financial management, companies must adopt a strategic approach, mitigate risks, and engage stakeholders effectively.

Abstract

Sosial dan humaniore merupakan pemahaman terhadap kehidupan manusia hal ini adalah masyarakat di suatu lingkungan. Berdasakan kajian keilmuan ilmu sosial dan humaniore adalah cabang ilmu pengetahuan untuk memahani aspek kehidupan manusia. Dalam pemahaman aspek manusia dapat dilihat dari sisi kekurangan dihadapa oleh Masyarakat. Dalam naungan rumah baca ABADIBA dengan terbentunya kelompok atau tim yang tujuannya dapat membantu dalam salah satu aktivitas pemahaman aspek manusia yaitu pendampingan kelompok belajar dan sosial lainnya. Pada semester genap ATA 2023/2024 tim abdimas LPM Univesitas Gunadarma bergabung dengan mitra rumah baca ABADIBA melakukan aktivitas pendampingan kelompok belajar, pendampingan kelompok usaha kecil, pendampingan pelaksanaan kegiatan perustakaan, dan aktivitas sosial lain, yaitu pada semester ini terdapat bulan Muharam maka dilaksanakan kegiatan santunan anak yatim kepada kelompok terbentuk dalam yayasan dan mandiri pada kelompok masyarakat kurang mampu dan atau terkena musibah. Pada semester ini sudah dilakukan aktivitas pendampingan pada kelompk anak didik dibawah naungan rumah baca ABADIBA dan mitra, berjalan dengan baik, dan aktivitas santunan anak yatim baik berkerja sama dengan komunitas masyarakat dan mandiri kelokasi membutuhkan sudah terlaksana di Tangerang dan Jakarta Pusat.
