Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study describe the use of conjunctions in the Kompas newspaper. The purpose of study is to examine conjunctions used, the percentage of accuracy of conjunctions, and the meaning of conjunctions used in the Kompas newspapers. This study is use qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data source of this research is the headlines in the Kompas newspaper published on 20 October 2013 to 19 October 2013, as many as 115 news. Authors just take 57 news for the research sample. The results of this study refers to the problem and research purpose. First, based on the analysis found that the conjunctions used are coordinate, subordinate, correlative, between sentences, and between paragraphs. Second, the percentage of accuracy use of conjunctions in the Kompas newspaper amounting 88.6%. The percentage means that use of conjunctions in the Kompas newspaper have good. Third, the meaning of conjunctions which are in the headlines totaled to 18 are addition, consecutive, choice, opposition, the more, the time, comparison, cause, effect, requirement, expectations/goals, enlighten, content, manner, tool, utility, marker examples, and equate.Keys words: conjunction, coordinate, subordinate, correlative.

Abstract

Abstract: This study, entitled Meaningful Imperative Speech In a Novel Rindu By Tere Liye. This study aimed to describe the meaningful imperative speech in a novel rindu by tere liye. The research is a qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data of this study is a meaningful imperative speechboth in imperative speech, declarative speech, and interrogative speech. Data obtained using the technique read, technique note and validity of the data was acquired through triangulation technique. Than, data was analyzed by indentifying, classifying the data based on the meaning imperative speech.Based on the data analysis has been done, the authors found a significant meaningful imperatives speech of imperative speech much eight that is imperative command, messenger, requests, insistence, persuasion, crosslegged, impulsive, and prohibition. Than, declarative speech stating the meaningful imperative speech much five that is imperative messenger, impulsive, requests, cross-legged,and prohibition.And interogative speech stating the meaningful imperative speech much five that is imperative command, impulsive, requests, cross-legged,and prohibition.Key Words: imperative speech meaningful imperative, declarative speech meaningful imperative, and interogative speech meaningful imperative.

Abstract

Abstract : The imperative sentence can range from having to do something until the prohibition to do something. The imperative sentences contained in the Batak Toba language can range from very harsh or rough errands to very subtle or polite requests. Thus it can be said that the imperative sentences in Batak Toba language are complex and varied. Based on the formulation of the problem, this study aims to describe the form and meaning of imperative speech in traditional ceremonies of Batak Toba death. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis is done by identifying data based on the form and meaning of imperative speech, classifying each data that has been identified based on the form and meaning of imperative speech, describing the data that has been classified, the interpretation of conclusion, which is concluding from the data that have been obtained since the beginning until the end of the study. The results of the study found that: (1) There are only five forms of imperative speech, namely: ordinary imperative, demand imperative, permit imperative, imperative invitation, and imperative of the order is in the Toba Batak Toba (2) Traditional Ceremony Of four meanings of imperative speech, two meanings of speech that is meaningful madness and meaningful hope. Whereas the two meanings of other imperative speeches are: meaningful messenger and meaningful prohibition, not found.Key words: Imperative, Batak Toba Language

Abstract

Abstract : This study is about interjections translation in One Piece comic. The purpose of this study is to examines interjections and describes the procedures and method of translation based on Newmark theory, and analyze the equivalences of Japanese interjections into Indonesian language. The data of this study were analyze using qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study found 14 interjections using the semantic translation method, and 3 translation procedures, that is componential analysis translation, through translation, and naturalisation translation.Key Word: Interjection, Translation, Comic

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the violation of the principles of cooperation, and the implications contained in the novel 5 cm Donny Dhirgantoro work. This study aimed to describe violations of the principle of cooperation and implications maxim maxim violation in a novel 5 cm Donny Dhirgantoro work. This research is helpful in a practical, theoretical, and educative. The theory used in this research one theory Jacob L. Mey (in Rahardi, 2005: 49) pragmatics is the science which studies language usage conditions of human language that basically is determined by the context and background of the language that embodies it. Furthermore, there is also a theory of Karl Buhler (in Ullmann, 2007: 15) points out three aspects of language from the perspective of the speaker, the speech act is a symptom (symptom), which is a hint or indication about what is or what is going on in his mind, from the point viewing audience, the speech act is a signal (signal) that call or order him to do something acts and from the point of communication itself speech act is a symbol (symbol), which is a sign indicating anything intended by the speaker to be delivered and wrong one important thing in a pragmatic interpretation of the conversation, the concept of linking meaning and context of the conversation is the concept of speech acts (speech acts), a concept developed by Austin (in Nurgiyantoro, 2013: 425). This study is a qualitative research and descriptive method. Techniques used in data collection in this study is engineering documentation and technical notes. Data that has been found by reading and then analyzed by several stages, which collects sentences, selecting, classifying, implies a violation of maxims, and make conclusions. Data breach the principle of cooperation found comes from the novel is used as a reference in the study. The amount of the overall data in the study of ninety-three data. Sixty-four data breach maxim of quantity, quality maxim of six data breach, fifteen data breach maxim of relevance, and eight data breach maxim way or execution. The object of this study is the word which violations of the principle of cooperation. The results of this study as a contribution for further research regarding the violation of the principle of cooperation.Key Words: Violation of principle, Cooperation, Novel.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of this study are focused on the use of language in the form of rude expressions (dysphemism) with language that is not polite, not polite and in the form of curses delivered in the Instagram comments column about the 2019 presidential election. This research was included in a qualitative descriptive study. This research was obtained through observation of existing data. Based on the results of research and discussion of citizens' dysphemism in comments on Instagram in the 2019 presidential election uploads found 67 words in terms of word dysphemism, 23 terms in terms of phrase dysphemism, 10 in terms of idiomic dysphemisms in 10 data. The function of citizens' dysphemism in the comments on Instagram on the 2019 presidential election upload is divided into 7 functions namely, (1) protesters dislike or disagree with a person of 20 data, (2) an indicator of disrespect or denigrate another person by 26 data, ( 3) blasphemous or criticize as much as 8 data, (4) curse or curse as much as 16 data, (5) exaggerate something as much as 4 data, (6) comparison of humans with animals that are considered to have negative behavior as much as 6 data, (7) as the means to mock up as much as 20 data. Then the meaning of dysfemism in this study is divided into 5, namely, (1) insulting meanings of 22 data, (2) swearing meaning of 11 data, (3) the meaning of 13 speakers 'abusive statements, (4) the meaning of 26 speakers' annoyance statements , (5) the meaning of quiping as much as 28 data. Key Words: Form of Dysphemism, Dysphemism Function, Meaning Of Dysfemism

Abstract: This study is titled Koba Oral Literature in Pekoba (Cik Ani) Expression in the of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu District. The background of this research is that nowadays koba as an intangible cultural heritage is rarely performed again in the community and pekoba (koba Craftsman) has diminished its existence. The purpose of this study is to describe the expression of authors and authorship of pekoba (Cik Ani) in koba oral literature in Rokan Hulu District. This research is descriptive qualitative research that describes and describes the results of the research conducted. Based on the research, classified authors and authorship of Pekoba (Cik Ani) consisting of 8 aspects, 1) family background, 2) educational background, 3) profession, 4) role and social relations, 5) character, 6) creative process, 7) fellow profession, and 8) regeneration.Key Words: Oral literature, koba, author, authorship, pekoba

Abstract

Abstract: This study was describe the strategy used by translator in translating Senka’s label as beauty product. This study used descriptive qualitative research with theory of Vinay and Darbelnet. This study used eight senka’s product such as Senka Perfect Whip U, Senka Perfect Whip Acne Care, Senka Perfect Whip Collagen In, Senka Perfect White Clay, Senka All Clear Oil, Senka Perfect Aqua Rich-Extra Moist, Senka Aqua White Mask Extra White, Senka Perfect Aqua White Mask Soothing White. The technique of data analysis used is the first observing data from label product. The next is wrote word, phrases and sentences which related to translation strategy. Then select data based on word, phrases and sentences which appropriate to translation strategy. Last is deduced. The result from this study is 23 data found with 12 words, 3 phrases and 8 sentences in translation strategy. The strategy used was literal, transference, transposition and strategy with reduction.Key Word: beauty, label product, translation

Abstract

Abstrack: This study describes the types of deixis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning. The purpose of this study is to discuss and explain the types of deixis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning. This study uses a type of qualitative research not quantitative or numbers. Supporting techniques in this study use techniques documentation. Deiksis in 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning found, namely, (a) person deixis, (b) place deixis, and (c) discourse deixis. Based on the results of data analysis Known as the first type of single person deixis is saya, aku, hamba, daku, andan, patik, ananda, and Fatimah (nama) as self substitutes and the first persona is found are us and the awak. The second person deixis found is hulubalang, baginda, dinda, kanda, tuan muda, nek, datuk, dayang, bunda, ongku, and datuok. Personal deixis three found is ia, mereka, kalian, dan beliau, deixis where found is di sini, di sana. Sana. Ke sana, ini, and itu,, and discourse deixis are anafora and katafora.Key Words: Deixis, Deixis Type, 21 Cerita Rakyat Lancang Kuning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the act of representative speech in facebook status. This study aims to describe the act of representative speech in facebook status. This research is descriptive-qualitative research. This research data is data taken from the status that contains representative speech in the facebook homepage. Instruments in this research is screenshoot (data recording) facebook status then transcribed and typed compiled Data collection is done by documentation technique. Data were taken as many as 150 data during January 2017. Data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. From the data obtained found sebnayak 86 data included into the act of representative speech. The type of representative speech act consists of acts of speech representatives stated, acts of speech representatives suggest, acts of speech representatives tells, acts of speech representative complain, acts of representative speech demands and acts speech representative report. Of the seven types of representative speech acts in facebook status only found the five types of speech acts are representative of stating, telling, suggesting, boasting and complaining.Keywords: Speech, Representative, Facebook.
