Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal, namely systolic blood pressure of 140 mmHg which indicates the phase of blood being pumped by the heart and diastolic phase of 90 mmHg which indicates the phase of blood returning to the heart. Hypertension is influenced by several risk factors that cannot be changed and those that can be changed. Risk factors that can be changed include diet. In Pesawaran Regency, the number of residents aged >55 years, which is an age group at high risk for hypertension, is 14.86%. Purpose: To increase knowledge about healthy eating patterns in reducing the risk of hypertension. Method: The activity was carried out on Saturday, July 15, 2022, which was attended by 20 focus group discussion (FGD) cadres and the community in Sungai Langka Village, Gedong Tataan District. The design of this PKM activity consists of the formation of focus group discussions (FGD), making information media and direct outreach activities to the community. The target of the activity is to provide information and increase knowledge about healthy eating patterns that can prevent hypertension. Results: It was found that before the counseling, the majority of cadres were very poor and adequate in understanding the influence of healthy eating patterns on preventing hypertension, namely 7 (35.0%) respectively, while after the counseling, there was an increase in understanding the influence of healthy eating patterns on preventing hypertension to good as many as 10 (50.0%) and very good 10 (50.0%). The participants were quite enthusiastic in following the counseling activities with interactive discussions and direct questions and answers to get an explanation of the problem of hypertension. Conclusion: Counseling activities (PKM) on healthy eating patterns have a great influence on increasing knowledge about hypertension in the community and the implementation of healthy eating patterns has a positive influence on efforts to reduce the risk of hypertension. Keywords: Counseling; Diet; Hypertension; Risk factors Pendahuluan: Hipertensi adalah keadaan seseorang yang mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah diatas normal yaitu tekanan darah fase sistolik 140 mmHg yang menunjukkan fase darah yang sedang dipompa oleh jantung serta fase diastolik 90 mmHg yang menunjukkan fase darah yang kembali ke jantung. Hipertensi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor risiko yang tidak dapat diubah dan yang dapat diubah. Faktor risiko yang dapat diubah diantaranya adalah pola makan. Di Kabupaten Pesawaran jumlah penduduk yang berusia >55 tahun, yang merupakan golongan usia yang berisiko tinggi untuk menderita hipertensi, sebanyak 14.86%.   Tujuan: Meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pola makan sehat dalam mengurangi resiko kejadian hipertensi. Metode: Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu tanggal 15 Juli 2022 yang dihadiri oleh 20 orang kader focus group discussion (FGD) dan masyarakat di Desa Sungai Langka, Kecamatan Gedong Tataan. Rancangan kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari pembentukan focus group discussion (FGD), pembuatan media informasi dan kegiatan penyuluhan langsung kepada masyarakat. Sasaran kegiatan adalah memberikan informasi dan meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pola makan sehat yang dapat mencegah hipertensi. Hasil: Mendapatkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan mayoritas kader sangat kurang dan cukup dalam memahami pengaruh pola makan sehat terhadap pencegahan kejadian hipertensi yaitu masing-masing sebanyak 7 (35.0%) sedangkan setelah dilakukan penyuluhan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman pengaruh pola makan sehat terhadap pencegahan kejadian hipertensi menjadi baik sebanyak 10 (50.0%) dan sangat baik 10 (50.0%). Para peserta cukup antusias dalam mengikuti jalannya kegiatan penyuluhan dengan adanya diskusi interaktif dan tanya jawab langsung untuk mendapat penjelasan mengenai permasalahan hipertensi. Simpulan: Kegiatan penyuluhan (PKM) tentang pola makan sehat sangat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang hipertensi pada masyarakat dan penerapan pola makan sehat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap upaya dalam mengurangi resiko hipertensi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk menentukan kenyamanan pelat dan balok pada gedung parkir bertingkat sesuai standar ISO 2631 2022. Pembebanan yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah pada saat mobil diam dan bergetar. Dua metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimental dan numerik. Pada metode eksperimen diperoleh frekuensi alami pelat dan balok sebesar 6,15 Hz dengan percepatan 0,01436 m/s2, sedangkan pada analisis diperoleh frekuensi alami pelat dan balok sebesar 5,98 Hz dan percepatan 0,018872 m/s2. Perbandingan hasil eksperimen dan numerik untuk seluruh skenario adalah sekitar 12%, sehingga analisis pemodelan dengan aplikasi berbasis teknik sipil dapat digunakan untuk penguatan sebagai rekomendasi. Penguatan dilakukan dengan menambahkan kekakuan berupa IWF 300 x 150 x 6,5 (mm) pada arah x dan y. Tulangan dengan arah y (5 m) lebih efektif dan efisien dibandingkan dengan arah x (8 m) karena dapat meningkatkan frekuensi alami pelat sebesar 58% dan menurunkan percepatan sebesar 33%.

Abstract

Penyediaan layanan sanitasi yang layak dan aman merupakan faktor krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Kota Metro, sebagai salah satu daerah yang berkomitmen terhadap target Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2024, telah membangun Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) Karangrejo dengan kapasitas 45 m³ per hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan Kota Metro dalam mengimplementasikan program Layanan Lumpur Tinja Terjadwal (LLTT) melalui pendekatan analisis gap dan SWOT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kota Metro memiliki potensi kuat dalam aspek regulasi, kesiapan masyarakat, serta infrastruktur pengolahan lumpur tinja. Namun, terdapat kendala dalam standar operasional prosedur (SOP) dan peraturan pendukung LLTT. Berdasarkan hasil analisis SWOT, terdapat lima strategi utama untuk mendukung implementasi LLTT, yaitu mempercepat pengesahan Peraturan Daerah (Perda) tentang LLTT, menyusun ilustrasi sistem dan penghitungan biaya operasional, menentukan skala operasi serta pola dan periode penyedotan, serta menambah armada sedot tinja milik Pemerintah Kota Metro. Diperlukan perbaikan kebijakan dan optimalisasi sistem operasional agar program ini dapat berjalan efektif di Kota Metro.

Abstract

Jabung Irrigation Area is one of the irrigation areas located in East Lampung Regency with an area of 7,288 hectares. Jabung Irrigation Area has a problem of uneven water distribution. This problem occurs in the downstream area due to damage to physical infrastructure, especially in tertiary irrigation canals, and sub-optimal operation and maintenance activities. Therefore, based on the Minister of Public Works and Housing Regulation No. 12/PRT/M/2015 concerning the Exploitation and Maintenance of Irrigation Networks, a study was conducted on determining the Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI) of the tertiary network in the Jabung Irrigation Area. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of the tertiary irrigation system of the Jabung Irrigation Area which is useful for formulating follow-up programs such as repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the irrigation network. The research method was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method and direct assessment in the field as well as interviews. The assessment covers 6 aspects, namely the condition of physical infrastructure, crop productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, and Farmers' Water Users Association (P3A). The results showed that the performance of the tertiary irrigation network in the Jabung Irrigation Area is in good condition (70.54%).

Abstract

The number of vehicle usage, especially motorcycles, in Indonesia has significantly increased in the past 10 years, particularly among young people. This has had an impact on the declining air quality in public places, including on campus grounds. PM2.5, as one of the hazardous pollutants to health, needs to be given special attention regarding its dispersion concentration in areas heavily frequented by the public, such as parking lots on campus. This study analyzes the level of PM2.5 concentration in the campus parking lots at Universitas Lampung, with the aim of observing the pattern of PM2.5 pollution in the campus area, considering the increasing number of motorcycles entering the campus every year. The measurement of PM2.5 levels was conducted using a light scattering sensor in two parking lots with different microenvironments, and then its correlation with motorcycle activities at each location was analyzed using simple regression. Based on statistical analysis, it was found that the differences in microenvironments affect PM2.5 levels significantly. The number of motorcycle activities also has a positive correlation with the level of PM2.5, where the average PM2.5 concentration recorded has exceeded the threshold set by the government, which is 15 µg/m3 per day. However, the effect of the microenvironment in this study is stronger than the number of vehicles. Therefore, in the future, appropriate policies and strategies are needed to reduce PM2.5 concentrations in public areas, especially on campuses, to prevent the associated risks of the pollution.

Abstract

Tourism suitability analysis is important to determine the suitability of an area for beach recreation according to its ecological carrying capacity. This study aims to analyze the suitability and carrying capacity of the ecotourism area at Minang Rua Beach, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. Data collection of physical parameters of the beach was carried out using the field observation method. Data were analyzed using the tourism suitability index and area carrying capacity. The results showed that the ecotourism suitability index for beach recreation at Minang Rua Beach at station 1 was 2.875, at station 2 was 3.000, and at station 3 was 2.430. The level of suitability for beach recreation at Stations 1 and 2 was categorized as very suitable (S1), while at Station 3 was categorized as suitable (S2). The carrying capacity of the area at Minang Rua Beach for beach recreation activities at Station 1 was 119 people/day, at Station 2 was 364 people/day and at Station 3 was 158 people/day. The managers of this area are expected to be able to implement tourism activities according to their ecological carrying capacity so that their sustainability can be maintained.

Abstract

The sustainability of dam operations needs to be reviewed in terms of water availability, in order to maintain the sustainability of water demand in all sectors in the coming years. This study aims to analyze of water availability of the Way Sekampung Dam reservoir according to its needs using one of the applications of the dynamic program, Vensim. The study used data-driven scenario simulations on the Vensim application, to analyze key factors including available inflows, required outflows, storage capacity of the dam and plans to supply raw water over a 25-year period. The results show that the dam can supply raw water for Bandar Lampung, Beranti, Pringsewu and Metro City with a total capacity of 2,737 liters per second and support water needs for potential irrigation of 76,006 hectares. Optimization of the dam's storage operation can be achieved, with a target reliability of 100% occurring in 2027, the year when the dam's storage condition reaches its optimal level at an elevation of +125.23 meters. To meet downstream water demand, the dam's storage capacity must be maintained at an elevation of +124.0 meters or higher, with a volume of 68,060,000 m³ and an inundation area of 5,020.8 km2. If the water storage falls below this elevation, it will be necessary to update the water allocation policy, adjust management regulations, appropriate management strategies, including periodic updating of the reservoir operation rules and implementation of a flexible water release schedule, to ensure continuous water availability at the Way Sekampung Dam reservoir.

Abstract

Bridges represent a vital component of strategic infrastructure, facilitating the movement of traffic and the distribution of logistics. Bridges facilitate connectivity between disparate geographical regions. It is of the utmost importance to prevent damage and failure of bridge structures. Bridge structure failure is the formation of local scour at the pillars and abutments of the bridge. The objective of this research is to assess the safety of the Way Sumanda-Sukamulya Bridge in regard to the potential for scour at the pillars and abutments. Topographic surveys, instantaneous discharge, and riverbed sediment gradation were conducted for the purpose of collecting data regarding the potential for scour. Ten years of rainfall data were obtained from the Mesuji-Sekampung BBWS, which served to corroborate the design flood discharge. An evaluation of scour was conducted using the HEC-RAS 1D.  The scour depth at the pillars ranged from 1.60 m to 1.89 m, while the scour depth at the abutments reached 2.28 m to 3.17 m. It was observed that the outer bend of the river presented a greater scour depth than the inner part. It is imperative that the Way Sumanda Bridge be periodically assessed to ensure that the risk of local scour is kept to an absolute minimum.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan iklim tropis yang memiliki dua musim, musim kemarau dan musim hujan. Pengukuran curah hujan di Indonesia dilakukan oleh beberapa badan, salah satu diantaranya adalah Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) dan juga TRMM NASA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung nilai korelasi data curah hujan antara TRMM dan BMKG dengan mencari persamaan hubungan antar data dan menganalisis data curah hujannya. Data yang digunakan merupakan curah hujan harian dari tahun 1998-2012. Data dianalisis dalam bentuk data 7 harian, bulanan, dan tahunan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan jika data curah hujan yang diukur oleh TRMM memiliki kesamaan pola distribusi temporal curah hujan yang diukur oleh BMKG. Nilai korelasi antara data TRMM dan BMKG menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik jika menggunakan data bulanan, dimana nilai korelasi yang terbesar dari ketiga stasiun adalah,7281 di Stasiun Meteorologi H. Asan Hananjoedin dan yang terkecil adalah 0,5829 di Stasiun Meteorologi Depati Amir.

Abstract

Loss of land due to coastal erosion that occurs naturally by wave abrasion. Therefore, to protect the coast from erosion or other matters, a breakwater is needed which destroys the energy of the waves before reaching the shore. This is the background of the author in taking the title of the thesis about the Performance Analysis of Wave Attenuation in the Hollow Type Breakwater Submerged Type 2-D Physical Modeling. The variables used in this study were incident wave height (Ho), calm water level (ds), and breakwater type. The results of this study indicate that the damping coefficient (Cr) was obtained using a sinking breakwater without a hole with a calm water level (ds) of 2 cm of 0.479 which is the most effective damping produced in an experiment using a breakwater that is free from calm water surface (ds). 2 cm. The wave attenuation obtained from the wave defraction test using 2 types of breakwaters resulted that the breakwater without the damping hole was greater than using a perforated breakwater.
