Abstract

Social media has transformed Indonesia's social activism landscape, especially in efforts to build peace and interfaith dialogue. This study uses a virtual ethnographic approach to examine how four interfaith communities (JAKATARUB Bandung, PELITA Padang, Eco Bhinneka Kalbar, and Peace Generation Makassar) use Instagram to promote peace and interreligious dialogue. This study analyzes digital content activism strategies, communication patterns, and community engagement approaches through systematic digital analysis observations and Instagram archives. The findings indicate that these communities have developed innovative ways of utilizing Instagram features to create meaningful interfaith dialogue, combining local wisdom with universal peace values. They use a variety of content formats, including educational infographics, personal storytelling, and interactive discussions to engage young viewers. Although these communities face challenges such as limited algorithms and resources, their adaptability shows the potential of digital platforms in fostering interfaith dialogue and peacebuilding. This research makes three important contributions: first, developing a comprehensive analytical framework for studying peace activism in the digital era; second, uncovering effective strategies for integrating local wisdom with digital activism; and third, offering a practical model for developing sustainable social media-based peace programs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of job rotation on the performance of Bantaeng Resort Police officers. The performance of officers is influenced by several factors, one of which is job rotation. Proper and directed job rotation can improve officer performance. This study uses a descriptive quantitative and associative esearch method, utilizing a questionnaire as an instrument. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling, targeting Bantaeng Resort Police officers with a sample size of 22 individuals. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique employs simple linear regression analysis. Data validity is ensured through validity and reliability tests. The results of this study show that job rotation has an effect on the performance of Bantaeng Resort Police officers. Based on the output from the model summary, the R value obtained is 0.821, indicating the influence of the independent variable, job rotation (X), on the dependent variable, officer performance (Y), which is further strengthened by the coefficient of determination (R Square) or its determination coefficient of 0.674 or 67.4%. Abstract

Merokok merupakan kegiatan yang masih sering dilakukan oleh banyak orang dan merupakan masalah yang terus berkembang. Berbagai penelitian menyebutkan bahwa ada banyak faktor yang menentukan seseorang untuk bisa berhenti merokok, diantaranya adalah motivasi dan juga persepsi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi risiko dan motivasi terhadap Kesulitan Berhenti  Merokok Karyawan Universitas MH Thamrin. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan Laki-laki Universitas MH thamrin sebanyak 76 orang. Sementara sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan laki-laki Universitas MH Thamrin yang perokok aktif, sebanyak 39 orang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kedua variabel independen yaitu persepsi dan motivasi memberikan pengaruh terhadap kesulitan berhenti merokok pada karyawan Universitas MH Thamrin. Variabel Persepsi Resiko diperoleh nilai P=0,042 dengan  OR 5,029, sementara Variabel Motivasi diperoleh nilai P=0,032  dengan OR 5,625. Perlu diterapkan kawasan tanpa rokok di lingkungan kampus Universitas MH Thamrin melalui peraturan rektor atau yayasan, hal ini sebagai salah satu strategi menekan perilaku merokok dilingkungan sekitar kampus, yang berdampak tidak hanya pada karyawan, tetapi juga terhadap mahasiswa.Kata Kunci : Kesulitan Berhenti Merokok, Persepsi Resiko dan Motivasi.

Abstract

Jajanan banyak diminati dan rutin dikonsumsi oleh anak sekolah. Makanan jajanan akan berdampak fatal jikamengonsumsi makanan jajanan tidak terdapat kandungan dan nilai gizi cukup serta kebersihan dan keamanantersebut tidak terjamin dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektiftas media promosi Kesehatan tentang pengetahuan jajanan sehat pada siswa sekolah dasar Jakarta Pusat tahun 2022. Penelitianini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan metode pendekatan quasi eksperimen dengan desaincontrol group pretest dan posttest, dimana kelompok eksperimen di lihat pretest sebelumperlakuandanposttest setelah adanya perlakuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media video dan permainan ular tanggaterhadap peningkatan pengetahuan jajanan sehat pada siswa sekolah Jakarta Pusat tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa promosi Kesehatan menggunakan media video dan pernaianan ular tanggaterbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang jajanan sehat pada siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa media video lebih efektif dari pada media permainan ular tangga untukmeningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang jajanan sehat. Saran yang diberikan adalah mengembangkan mediavideo sebagai sumber informasi kesehatan. Kata kunci: Jajanan sehat, Promosi Kesehatan, Media Video dan MediaPermaianan Ular Tangga.

Abstract

Anemia masih menjadi masalah kesehatan pada remaja putri, dengan prevalensi di Kota Depok mencapai 36% pada tahun 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai efektivitas suplementasi tablet tambah darah (TTD) mingguan terhadap kadar hemoglobin. Desain penelitian menggunakan kuasi-eksperimen non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest pada 47 siswi SMP IT At Taufiq, Depok (24 intervensi; 23 kontrol). Kelompok intervensi menerima satu tablet TTD per minggu selama empat minggu, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan TTD hingga penelitian selesai. Kadar hemoglobin diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan Hemometer Digital EasyTouch. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok intervensi (10,8 g/dL menjadi 12,9 g/dL; p<0,001), sementara kelompok kontrol tidak mengalami perubahan bermakna (12,6 g/dL menjadi 12,7 g/dL; p=0,811). Uji t independen juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok (p<0,001). Kesimpulannya, suplementasi TTD efektif meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin remaja putri serta mendukung program pencegahan anemia berbasis sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi kebijakan dividen dengan proksi likuiditas, leverage, ukuran perusahaan dan profitabilitas terhadap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan sub sektor konstruksi bangunan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016 – 2020. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 20 perusahaan yang masuk kategori perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, perusahaan yang secara berturut – turut menerbitkan annual report dan membagikan dividen dari tahun 2016 – 2020. Dengan menggunakan metode penarikan sample purposive sampling jumlah sampel yang diperoleh yaitu sebanyak 9 perusahaan. Metode pengujian data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian data, likuiditas, leverage, ukuran perusahaan dan profitabilitas berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kebijakan dividen. Secara parsial, hanya likuiditas dan profitabilitas yang berpengaruh positif terhadap kebijakan dividen, sedangkan leverage dan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan sub sektor kontruksi bangunan pada periode 2016 – 2020.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is a chronic disease caused by S. typhi bacterium. This disease can be transmitted via contaminated water or food, and close contact with an infected person. The symptomps of typhoid fever include high fever, stomach pain, headache, and constipation. Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) leaves extract contain active compounds with antibacterial activity. This research aims to determine the inhibitory activity of jackfruit leaves extract against S. typhi. Jackfruit leaves were extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol as solvent. After that, organoleptic test, ethanol-free test and phytochemical screening of extract were carried out. Inhibitory activity of extract was conducted using well diffusion method, followed by determination of MIC and MBC. The results showed that jackfruit leaves extract contained flavonoid, tannins, saponin, and triterpenoid. Inhbitory activity of extract was found at concentration 20% (5.24 mm), 40% (6.78 mm), and concentration 60% (8.08 mm). The MIC value of extract was 12.5%. while the MBC could not be found. According to the results, ethanol extract of jackfruit leaves (70%) have potential compounds to inhibit the growth of S. typhi

Abstract

The paitan plant (Tithonia diversifolia) contains alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins and phenolics which have the potential to prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This plant also has various insecticidal activities. In society, there are many mentions of the paitan plant, so people need to know the characteristics of this paitan plant. The aim of this research is to determine the morphological characterization and specific fragments of the paitan plant, as well as to determine the activity and effective concentration of the ethanol extract of paitan leaves as a repellent for the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Two types of methods were used, namely descriptive qualitative for observing morphology, specific fragments, pollen, and phytochemical screening, and experimental methods for mosquito repellent testing, and calculating the protective power of the ethanol extract of paitan leaves. The results obtained are flowers consisting of two shapes, namely ribbon flowers in the outer circle, infertile, and tube shapes in the inner circle. Stomata are anomocytic type, while trichomes are non-glandular multicellular type. Pollen characteristics, namely small size, colpate, number 3, aperture shaped trizonocolpate with echinate ornamentation. The screening results for the ethanol extract of paitan leaves were positive for containing metabolite compounds, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, saponins, terpenoids and phenolics. The results of the mosquito repellent test showed that the higher the concentration of the extract, the fewer mosquitoes that landed. Calculation of protective power shows that the most effective concentration in repelling mosquitoes is 15%, namely 93.64%. The conclusion is that paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) leaf extract has potential activity as a repellent against Aedes aegypti mosquitoes with the most effective concentration being 15%.

Abstract

Probiotics are live microorganisms that are widely used to help maintain a healthy digestive system. Some compounds secreted by these bacteria have a bactericidal effect on pathogenic and putrefactive bacteria. Various types of probiotic bacteria can be obtained from fermented foods and drinks. This research aims to characterize bacteria from rebon shrimp paste in Macajah Village, Tanjung Bumi District, Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province which have potential as probiotics and test their antimicrobial activity against pathogenic bacteria. Bacteria were isolated using the Pour Plate technique using de Man Rogosa Sharpe Agar media. The bacterial isolates were then characterized by observing colony morphology, cells and biochemical properties. Next, antibacterial activity was tested using the well diffusion method. The results showed that the four bacteria obtained from the samples were gram positive, round and rod shaped, catalase negative, homofermentative, grew at a temperature of 37-45°C, survived at NaCl concentrations of 4 and 6.5%, low pH, and bile salts. According to the characterization results, three bacterial isolates belonged to the genus Enterococcus and one other isolate belonged to the genus Bacillus. Bacillus isolate is a potential probiotic candidate, because it has inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Quercetin are the main marker compounds in extracts of Sonchus arvensis which show nephrolithiasis activity. For quality control of herbal medicines, Densitometric Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method has been developed in this study using quercetin as phytochemical markers. Objective: Determination for quercetin in herbal medicines. Determination of quercetin by determining the composition of the mobile phase, the wavelength of the analysis, the saturation time, the elution distance and the volume of the spot. The parameters observed in the optimization method and stability test are area, retardation factor (Rf), peak shape and resolution (Rs). The composition of selected mobile phase which results good separation and symmetrical peak shape is chloroform: methanol: dichloromethane: acetonitrile: formic acid (6: 2: 2: 0.05: 0.05 v/v/v/v/v) with a wavelength of 335 nm, time of saturation is 30 minutes, elution distance is 8 cm, volume of spots is 10 µL and Rf 0.48. In this study, it was shown that there were no factors that had a significant effect so that the method could be applied for the determination of quercetin levels in herbal medicines.The research data showed that the range of levels on quercetin 3.26%.
