Abstract

IT At Taufiq, Depok (24 intervensi; 23 kontrol).

Abstract

Worm infection is still a public health problem, especially in young children who are vulnerable due to lack of awareness and understanding of clean and healthy lifestyles. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge of children at Nurhidayah Binjai Serbangan Kindergarten about the causes, symptoms, and prevention of worm disease. The methods used are counseling with visual media, interactive stories, and evaluation in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. This activity was carried out in March 2025 and was attended by 40 children. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in children's understanding after being given counseling. Before the counseling, only 40% of children knew about worms, while after the counseling it increased to 90%. This activity shows that the interactive counseling method is very effective in improving early childhood knowledge about health. It is hoped that this kind of activity can continue to be carried out periodically to prevent worm disease from an early age. In addition, the role of teachers and parents is also very important in strengthening healthy living habits in the school and home environment.

Abstract

Anemia among adolescent girls has long-term impacts on reproductive health and increases the risk of stunting in future generations. Although the government has provided school-based iron-folic acid (IFA) supplementation, anemia prevalence remains high and adherence to IFA intake is low. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, nutritional status, and IFA adherence with anemia among adolescent girls, while also examining the paradoxical phenomenon in which higher levels of knowledge are accompanied by a persistently high prevalence of anemia. A cross-sectional design was conducted among 121 female students aged 15–18 years from two vocational high schools in East Jakarta. Data collected included hemoglobin levels, nutritional status, knowledge about anemia, and IFA adherence. Bivariate analysis was performed using Chi-square tests. The prevalence of anemia was 39.7%. Knowledge was significantly associated with anemia (p=0.007); however, adolescents with good knowledge had a higher proportion of anemia (54%) compared to those with poor knowledge (29.6%). Nutritional status and IFA adherence were not significantly associated. Compared with the 2023 Indonesia Health Survey, the prevalence in this study site was higher than the Jakarta average (±30%). Knowledge alone is insufficient to prevent anemia without behavioral changes and environmental support. School-based interventions should focus on behavioral modification, motivation, regular monitoring of IFA intake, and innovations in IFA taste and packaging to improve adolescent acceptability. These findings emphasize the need for cross-sectoral collaboration to reduce anemia prevalence among adolescent girls.

Abstract

The objective of this community service activity is to enhance the information technology literacy of teachers and students at MTs Nurul Huda Situbondo through machine learning-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) training, with a focus on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) implementation. The training program has been meticulously designed to introduce the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and its practical applications in various domains, with a particular emphasis on its impact on education and agriculture. The training method utilizes a hands-on approach through open-source AI applications, such as Google Teachable Machine. The participants were trained to construct rudimentary artificial intelligence (AI) models that were capable of performing face recognition, fruit quality classification, leaf disease identification, and plant species classification. The findings of this initiative have demonstrated a substantial enhancement in the information technology literacy dimension of the participants, as evidenced by an augmentation in conceptual comprehension, proficiency in utilizing AI technology, and a favorable disposition towards the integration of technology in educational pursuits. A significant outcome of this endeavor is the development of an AI model for disease classification on mango leaves. The efficacy of this training program substantiates the notion that technology-based learning methodologies can effectively cultivate 21st-century competencies, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital proficiency. Furthermore, it fosters the development of an innovative and adaptable learning environment within the madrasah context.
