Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets with a guided inquiry approach that meet valid and practical criteria. The type of research is research and development (RD). The development model used is a 4D model consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate stages. This study involved material validators, media validators, and 7th grade students of Al Azhar 26 Islamic Junior High School Yogyakarta. The research data was obtained from the results of the assessment using a validation sheet and student response questionnaires. The average score of the assessment results from the material validators is 74 with very good validity level criteria, from media validators 127.5 with very good validity level criteria, and from the large group practicality test an average of 88 with very good practicality criteria. Student worksheets are declared valid and practical based on the stages of development and established criteria, and can then be used to explore students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur berpikir kombinatorik siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XII SMA Negeri 5 Purworejo tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang sudah menerima materi kaidah pencacahan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik dalam pengambilan subjek menggunakan teknik purposive dengan subjek yang terpilih sebanyak dua siswa. Instrumen yang peneliti gunakan yaitu berupa lembar soal yang terdiri dari satu soal yang berkaitan dengan kaidah pencacahan, pedoman wawancara, dan alat bantu rekam. Diberikan satu permasalahan kombinatorik, yaitu masalah yang memuat kombinasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan think aloud. Langkah-langkah dalam menganalisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan sebagai berikut. Struktur berpikir kombinatorik dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika yakni mendapatkan rumus dari suatu masalah formulas/ekspressions (ungkapan/rumus). Kemudian melakukan perhitungan dari rumus yang sudah didapatkan counting processes (proses perhitungan). Set of Outcomes (seperangkat hasil) digunakan untuk proses perhitungan yang digunakan. Set of Outcomes (seperangkat hasil) dapat dilakukan karena soal yang diberikan masih sederhana

Abstract

Syrat fungsi mempunyai invers adalah korespondensi satu-satu. Fungsi sinus hiperbolik dan tangen hiperbolik mempunyai invers karena kedua fungsi tersebut satu-satu pada setiapdaerah asalnya. Fungsi cosinus hiperbolik tidak mempunyai invers karena fungsi ini tidak satu-satu, akan tetapi dengan membatasi daerah asal x lebih dari sama dengan 0 fungsi cosinus hiperbolik mempunyai invers. Dengan mengubah dalam bentul logaritma natural, invers fungsi hiperbolik akan lebih mudah untuk diselesaikan.Kata kunci: invers fungsi hiperbolik, logaritma natural

Abstract

This study aims to describe the occurrence of pseudo thinking of high school students who have a normal IQ in solving the mathematical problems in the material Position and Distance from Point, Line, and Field. This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected by through giving tests and verification with interviews. The subject is taken using the snowball technique. The research subjects were students who had a normal IQ (80-119). Where subject who have a normal IQ in this research are two students. The data analysis techniques used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that high school students with normal IQ have a low understanding of the concepts in Geometry (Position and Distance from Points, Line, and Fields).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical disposition of students who have sanguine and melancholic personality types, and whether the mathematical disposition of students with sanguine types is higher than melancholic types. The population in this study was 260 seventh grade students of Junior High School in the Pituruh district. Sampling using a proportionate random sampling technique was taken as many as 65 students. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and tests. The results of the first study showed that the mathematical disposition of seventh-grade students in the Pituruh Subdistrict in the 2019 school year in terms of the sanguine and melancholic personality types of more than 60%. The second research result shows that there are differences in mathematical disposition between sanguine and melancholic types, where the mathematical disposition of students with sanguine personality types is higher than students with melancholic personality types.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) menggambarkan karakteristik internal dan eksternal petani dalam melakukan usahatani pepaya california, 2) menganalisis hubungan karakteristik internal dan eksternal petani dengan keputusan petani untuk melakukan budidaya pepaya california, dan 3) mengetahui faktor internal dan eksternal petani yang berpengaruh terhadap keputusan petani dalam melakukan budidaya pepaya california.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan lokasi penelitian dipilih Desa Cepedak Kecamatan Bruno. Jumlah sampel penelitian 48 orang petani yang membudidayakan pepaya california.Faktor internal petani yang tidak berkorelasi dengan keputusan petani adalah umur, pendidikan non formal, pendapatan, jumlah tanaman dan biaya usaha tani. Faktor internal yang memiliki korelasi dengan keputusan petani adalah pendidikan formal dan pengalaman. Faktor eksternal yang tidak berkorelasi adalah ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana. Faktor eksternal yang berkorelasi dengan keputusan petani adalah kesesuaian dengan kondisi alam, kemudahan untuk diterapkan petani dan dukungan kelompok tani.Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan secara bersama-sama variabel pendidikan formal, pengalaman, kesesuaian dengan alam, kemudahan diterapkan petani dan dukungan kelompok tani memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan petani dalam melakukan usahatani pepaya california.

Abstract

The background of this research is come from the fact which is not available in teaching material according to background from students culture in Indonesia. Therefore, the result of this research is to produce a product students Mathematics worksheet which is combination the material and culture value especially Borobudur temple. The aims of the research is to find out validation of product LKS elementary school based ethnomatematics with the setting of Borobudur temple on two-dimentional figure theory. The development model is used in this research is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evalaluation). This research has produced a student worksheet which is integration ethnomatematics of Borobudur Temple in a two-dimentional figure theory that is valid. The criteria of validity is find out from 6 validator assesments, these are 2 media experts with an average of 3.3, 2 theory experts with an average of 3.4, and 2 learning experts with a score of 3.5. The average of the overall ratings is 3.4 categorized valid. Based on these results, LKS which is developed categorized valid.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical connection in problem solving. Metode of qualitative research. The subject of this study were two ninth graders of junior high school in with a purposive technique. The research instrument was a mathematical connection test problem. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students complate aspects of mathematical connections, namely: Aspects of mathematical connections in mathematical problems such as: Students understand the relationship between existing mathematical topics by writing down the equation model as ideas of the problems. Students are able to find the relationship between existing procedures and other procedures in representation with the equivalent concept shown by writing the two-variable linear system material equation. Students apply the relationship between mathematics, and between mathematical material with mathematical material by finding the value of equations. Students are able to use mathematical connections with mathematics or other fields of science using mathematics with economics to determine the number of purchases with capital, and aspects of mathematical connections with everyday life, namely, Students use procedures and concepts from one another according to the question data. The ability of students to use mathematics in everydaylife in the context of buying and selling using capital, amount, profit. So, as a whole the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students complate the indicators andinto the high connection category.

Abstract

This research is describing the spatial mathematical abilities needed by junior high school students specifically on polyhedron material. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 3 students of class IX grade students of State Junior High School 4 Purworejo in the 2019/2020 academic year who had already gotten material on three-dimentional figure and had high mathematical abilities, moderate mathematical abilities, and low mathematical abilities and were in accordance with the needs of the relevant teachers . The subject taking technique used in this study was purposive. The instrument used in this study was the spatial ability test sheet. Data collection uses spatial ability tests, field notes, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the analysis technique of Miles & Hubermen which includes three activities namely data reduction, data presentation, and the contribution of conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis found students with high mathematical abilities are able to bring up spatial perception, mental rotation, spatial relations, and spatial orientation, but have not been able to bring up spatial visualization. Students with moderate and low mathematical abilities are able to bring up spatial perception, mental rotation and spatial orientation but have not yet spawned spatial relations and spatial visualization.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is a crucial skill for students to possess because it will make it easier for students to learn and master concepts in mathematics. This study aimed to describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts of junior high school students in solving integer arithmetic operations. This type of research was descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were seventh-grade students in one of the public junior high schools in Purworejo district in the 2020/2021 academic year with a good understanding. The technique of selecting the subject was purposive and snowball. The data analysis technique employed was the analysis technique of Miles & Huberman; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicated that students' understanding of mathematical concepts in completing arithmetic operations were as follows; students could restate a concept in writing, students could provide examples and not examples of a concept they have learned, students could use and choose certain operations in solving mathematical problems, students could not present concepts in the form of mathematical representations in the form of pictures, students could not classify objects according to certain properties according to the concept, and students could not apply the concept algorithmically to problem-solving.
