Abstract

Pengembangan kemampuan analisis penting dikuasai mahasiswa karena mengarah pada pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, memecahkan masalah, dan berpikir kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui impilkasi penerapan model collaborative case-based learning (C-CBL) terhadap kemampuan analisis mahasiswa pada topik Monera dan Protista. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Randomized control-group posttest only design. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sementara teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan test essay. Data Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test and effect size formula. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas kontrol (M = 58.79, SD = 10.25) dan kelas eksperimen (M = 81.29, SD = 9.48), [t(64) = 9.26, p < 0.001] dengan nilai effect size d = 2.28. Oleh sebab itu, model collaborative case-based learning berimplikasi tinggi terhadap perbaikan kemampuan analisis mahasiswa pada topik Monera dan Protista.

Abstract

Plantae merupakan salah satu materi Biologi kelas X SMA/MA yang erat kaitannya dengan tumbuhan yang ada disekitar lingkungan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil kelayakan booklet materi Plantae kelas X berdasarkan studi etnobotani bumbu dan rempah yang dimanfaatkan pada masakan masyarakat Suku Lembak di Desa Pulau Panggung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara dan lembar angket. Uji kelayakan booklet dilakukan oleh validator ahli media, ahli materi dan dua ahli praktisi serta uji keterbacaan dilakukan oleh 20 peserta didik kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kelayakan booklet dari ahli materi diperoleh 96,5% tergolong sangat baik; (2) kelayakan booklet dari ahli media diperoleh 89,5% tergolong sangat baik; (3) kelayakan booklet dari ahli praktisi diperoleh rata-rata 96,1% dengan  kategori sangat baik, (4) uji keterbacaan oleh peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata 98,75% tergolong sangat baik sehingga booklet yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif sebagai media pembelajaran biologi khususnya pada materi Plantae kelas X SMA/MA oleh guru dan peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan buku saku materi jamur untuk kelas X yang layak dan praktis yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Materi buku saku merupakan hasil identifikasi jamur patogen pada cabai merah berpenyakit di dataran rendah Kelurahan Padang Serai Kota Bengkulu dan Desa Pekik Nyaring Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall (1989), namun hanya sampai tahap keempat, yaitu 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, dilakukan dengan identifikasi jamur patogen dan wawancara guru terkait penggunaan dan kebutuhan bahan ajar materi jamur, 2) perencanaan dan 3) pengembangan buku saku yang dilakukan dengan penyusunan berdasarkan hasil identifikasi jamur patogen pada cabai merah, serta 4) pengujian lapangan awal, dilakukan melalui uji validasi untuk melihat kelayakan dan uji respon siswa untuk mengetahui kepraktisan buku saku. Hasil uji validasi dan uji respon siswa dianalisis dengan persentase. Berdasarkan identifikasi jamur patogen pada cabai merah diperoleh 4 jenis, yaitu Fusarium sp., Curvularia sp., Colletotrichum sp., dan Cercospora sp. Hasil identifikasi dimuat sebagai materi buku saku dengan penilaian layak berdasarkan validasi ahli media sebesar 92,8%, ahli materi 98,9% dan guru biologi 92,5%. Selain layak, buku saku juga praktis melalui penilaian respon siswa terhadap keterbacaan buku saku dengan persentase sebesar 85,13%. The research was carried out for the development of a feasible and practical fungi material pocket book for class X that can be used in learning. The pocket book material was the result of identification of pathogenic fungi on diseased red chilies in the lowlands of Padang Serai Village, Bengkulu City and Pekik Nyaring Village, Central Bengkulu Regency. This research was carried out using the Borg & Gall (1989) development model, but only reached the fourth stage, namely 1) research and information collection, carried out by identification of pathogenic fungi and teacher interviews related to the use and need for fungi teaching material, 2) planning and 3 ) development, carried out by compiling based on the results of identification of pathogenic fungi on red chilies, and 4) initial field test, carried out through validation test to see the feasibility and student response test to determine the practicality of pocket book. The results of the validation test and student response test were analyzed by percentage. Based on the identification of pathogenic fungi in red chilies, 4 types were obtained, namely Fusarium sp., Curvularia sp., Colletotrichum sp., and Cercospora sp. The identification results were published as pocket book material with feasible results based on the validation of media experts by 92.8%, material experts 98.9% and biology teachers 92.5%. Besides being feasible, pocket book was also practical through the assessment of students response to the readability of pocket book with a percentage of 85.13%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris dengan mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran SSCS berpendekatan ESD agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan model kuasi eksperimen dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Koto Gasib, Kabupaten Siak. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII berjumlah 119 siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberikan treatment model pembelajaran SSCS berpendekatan ESD dan kelas kontrol dengan pendekatan saintifik. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan soal berpikir kritis Watson-Glaser indikatornya meliputi: Penarikan Kesimpulan, Asumsi, Deduksi, Menafsirkan Informasi, Menganalisis Argumen.  Dari penelitian diperoleh kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelas eksperimen 79,5 yang berada pada kategori kritis dan kelas kontrol 65 pada kategori cukup kritis. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran SSCS berpendekatan ESD merupakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis diharapkan dapat membantu peserta didik untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang nyata melalui pembuatan produk dengan memperhatikan dampak lingkungan yang berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan ESD

Abstract

Our study examines the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practice and asymmetry information in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. We conjecture that these two concepts are negatively associated. To empirically test their association, we use the availability of CSR report, environmental score, and social score as the surrogate indicators of CSR practice. While, bid/ask spread (BAS) and price volatility (PV) are employed as the proxies of Asymmetry information. Using the quarterly data spans from the second quarter of 2012 to the fourth quarter of 2016, we collect as many as 39 companies that voluntarily disclosed their CSR-related information. To investigate the importance of CSR practice in the truncation of asymmetry information, we use the univariate analysis and multivariate analysis. We find that CSR practice is negatively associated with the asymmetry information. Our results remain consistently after we control for the firm-specific, year, and industry fixed-effect.

Abstract

In physics learning, students are expected to be able to understand physics concepts thoroughly and be able to relate them to the phenomena they encounter. Based on SMAN 6 Pekanbaru, researchers highlighted that educators often find that students have concepts that are different from scientific concepts. So it is necessary to research on understanding concepts with the help of innovative learning models. The aim achieved is to determine the effect of Experiential Learning on increasing class XI students' understanding of concepts in light and optics. Quasi Experiment is the method used with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The results of the posttest understanding of concepts in the experimental class were superior to those in the control class. We can conclude that understanding of concepts in class XI light and optics at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru can be improved through the application of the Experiential Learning model.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students at school. This research aims to determine the effect of the project based learning model assisted by pop up book media on student learning outcomes in class IV science learning at SD Negeri 33 Sawahan Padang Timur. This type of research is experimental research. The population of this study was all students in class IV-C and IV-D at SDN 33 Sawahan Padang Timur for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 55 students. Samples were taken by random sampling, students were obtained from class IV-C as the experimental class and class IV-D as the control class. Data collection techniques use tests. The research results showed that the average learning outcome after being given treatment in the experimental class was 83.19 and the average for control class students was 76.64. hypothesis testing shows and. Because it is 1.961 < 2.013, the hypothesis H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the project based learning model assisted by pop up book media has no effect on student learning outcomes in class IV science and science learning at SD Negeri 33 Sawahan Padang Timur.

Basedon the result of data analysis showed that all aspects got average score in therange of 3.4 to 4 with categories of  very high. Thus, high order thinkingskills was valid. Abstract

Science learning outcomes such as science process skills andattitudes toward science are still important issues in science education. Inthis study the researchers tried to get a picture of the students' learningoutcomes to get input on the learning process of science in the coastal area.As an initial study of the development of maritime-based contextual sciencelearning media, the purpose of this research is to know the extent of scienceprocess skill level, attitude toward science, and academic achievement ofstudents in coastal area. There were 114 students of the 8th grade of fourlower secondary schools in Merbau Island participated as respondents in thisstudy. Instruments used in data collection are science process skills tests andattitude toward science questionnaires for lower secondary school students.The results showed that 8th grade lower secondary school students inMerbau Island had high attitude toward science. On the contrary, the scienceprocess skills and academic achievement of their science are relatively low.

Abstract

This study aims to produce physics learning media in high schools in the form of the development of contextual based electronic global warming modules using a valid, practical and effective flipbook application. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluate). The field trial design used was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The development of contextual based electronic global warming modules using the flipbook application has passed the validation test stage with an average percentage of material experts at 88.42% with a very valid category and an average percentage of media experts at 85.63% with a very valid category. Practicality test by the teacher obtained an average percentage score of 85.56% with very practical criteria and by students obtained an average percentage score of 91.33% with a very practical category. Improved learning outcomes using e-modules and without e-modules (the results of last year's tests) are included in the increased category. It can be concluded that the use of contextual- based electronic modules using the flipbook application inlearning can improve student physics learning outcomes.
