Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of learning media that facilitates understanding of students' concepts on optical material. The existing learning media generally integrate the visualization of image formation on mirrors and lenses. Not yet equipped with practice questions and evaluation questions in accordance with the concept understanding indicators. Then the percentage of student learning outcomes that are below the KKM and student learning motivation is low. The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of students' concepts by using Lectora learning media. The design used in this study was a randomized control group pretest-posttest and the research subjects were students of class XI SMA N 5 Tapung. The control class applied conventional learning and the experimental class applied the use of learning media. The application of Lectora Inspire interactive learning media affects students' conceptual understanding in the experimental class with an average increase of 0.58, and the control class with an average increase of 0.54. The results showed that there were significant differences in conceptual understanding between the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

Students' conceptual understanding is an essential component in terms of successful learning. But the fact shows that the conceptual understanding of Indonesian students is still relatively low. One of the factors for the unelevated understanding of the concept is the lack of active participation during the process. Student involvement encounter by using teaching materials that facilitate student learning independence. One way is to use a module integrated with discovery learning models that authorize students to learn independently. This research is survey research as an initial step in developing discovery learning-based learning modules assisted by PhET Simulations. The benefit of this research is to find out what students currently need in science learning and how much students need for the buildup of discovery learning-based modules. The subjects used in this study were junior high school students with a sample size of 35 students and 26 science teachers selected by region. The needs analysis includes four indicators, a) analysis of learning problems; b) student analysis; c) objective analysis; and d) learning setting analysis. Based on the results of this study, the discovery learning-based learning modules assisted by PhET Simulations needed to be developed as a science learning medium to train students' conceptual understanding in Riau and Riau Islands provinces.

Abstract

The electronik modul (e-module) is a digital learning resource designed to enhance the educational experience. However, at SMA 06 Seluma, there is a noticeable lack of electronic teaching materials, particularly those based on local environmental content, like biodiversity. This study aims to develop a biodiversity e-module that draws from the surrounding environment. The development process followed the 4-D model, which includes four stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research involved interviews and observations of medicinal plants. The findings identified 37 species of medicinal plants across 22 families utilized by the Bali tribe in Tawang Rejo Village. Validation results for the e-module were positive: content experts rated it 92% "highly suitable," media experts rated it 97.9% "highly suitable," and practical experts gave it a 94.3% "highly suitable" rating. Additionally, the readability test with students from class X Science 1 at SMA 6 Seluma resulted in a 97% "excellent" rating. These outcomes suggest that the medicinal plant biodiversity e-module is a valuable and effective supplementary learning tool for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis makroalga yang berada di kawasan wisata Pantai Malabero kota Bengkulu, mengembangkan E-Booklet berbasis Flipbook sebagai bahan ajar, dan mengetahui kelayakan serta respon belajar peserta didik terhadap E-Booklet yang telah dikembangkan melalui proses validasi sehingga layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar yang tertuju kepada peserta didik. Penelitian ini terdiri dari inventarisasi makroalga yang berada di kawasan wisata Pantai Malabero kota Bengkulu dan  tahap pengembangan E-Booklet materi Protista kelas X SMA. Penelitian keanekaragaman makroalga menghasilkan 3 divisi yaitu Chlorophyta dengan jumlah 7 spesies, Rhodophyta 2 spesies, dan Phaeophyta 2 spesies. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah E-Booklet berbasis flipbook. Produk E-Booklet divalidasi oleh 3 orang yang terdiri dari  ahli bahan ajar, ahli materi dan praktisi pendidikan.Uji coba terbatas dalam skala kecil dilakukan kepada 10 responden siswa kelas X SMAS Muhammadiyah 4 kota Bengkulu. Hasil uji kelayakan yang dilakukan oleh ahli  bahan ajar mendapatkan persentase 93,3% dengan kategori sangat valid, oleh ahli materi 85,2% dengan kategori valid, dan persentase nilai praktisi pendidikan sebanyak 95,8% dengan kategori sangat valid.  Berdasarkan hasil keseluruhan penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-Booklet  berbasis flipbook materi Protista kelas X SMA sangat valid dan sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guna mendukung pembelajaran biologi khususnya materi Protista Mirip Tumbuhan.

Abstract

The necessity for teaching materials that can effectively facilitate students' skills has become increasingly evident in order to enhance concept mastery. The objective of this study is to develop teaching materials in the form of project-based modules on plant morphology for the purpose of facilitating concept mastery. The Project-Based Plant Morphology Module was developed in accordance with the ADDIE model (Branch, 2009), which comprises five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments utilized for the development process included a validation questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, and a concept mastery test. Validity of the module was obtained through the use of instruments in the form of book validation sheets, which were completed by experts in the fields of media, materials, and education. The module trials were obtained through the implementation instruments for the individual components and the management of the learning implementation. Product trials will be conducted with students enrolled in the Biology Education program during the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The data used to validate the module was obtained from the module's expert validators using a validation sheet. The data obtained from the product trial is analyzed in order to assess the readability of the module. The results indicated that the plant morphology module was classified as "very feasible." The responses of students to the module indicated that it was categorized as "very easy to understand". Consequently, the plant morphology module is deemed a valuable and effective component of plant morphology courses

Abstract

Scientific literacy of Pacu Jalur is the ability to understand physics concepts and processes integrated into local culture and wisdom in Rantau Kuantan, Riau. The Pacu jalur competition is one of the cultures that has existed for generations in Teluk Kuantan, Riau and it has been identified that the Pacu jalur competition has scientific potential that can be explained scientifically. This research aims to identify the level of physics literacy in the Pacu Jalur Competition for students of SMA Negeri 1 in Teluk Kuantan. For this purpose, the type of research used is survey research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample in the study was 170 students consisting of 55 male students and 115 female students. The instrument in the study was a physics science literacy test on Pacu Jalur which consisted of 7 multiple choice items with a reliability coefficient of KR-20 of 0.86. Descriptive analysis techniques were used to obtain the level of literacy in the Physics of Pacu Jalur in the sub-context of the Pacu Jalur competition. The results of the descriptive and inferential analysis show that the physics literacy level of Pacu Jalur students has an average total score of 33.73. Based on gender, it was identified that male students had better physics science literacy skills than female students with an average score of 34.54 for male students while 32.92 for female students. However, the differences in scores based on gender are not significant. Overall, it can be concluded that the physics literacy level of SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan students in the Pacu Jalan competition is still in the very low category and gender does not affect the level of scientific literacy of students.

Abstract

A microcontroller is an electronic device that can digitalize experimental tools, making them more practical and easier to use. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review using PRISMA. The purpose of this study is to identify learning models, learning media, and the utilization of microcontrollers in teaching circular motion physics in schools. The collected data consists of national journal articles from accredited and indexed electronic databases, which are then extracted for content analysis. The data is subsequently analyzed and interpreted in tabular form. The findings of this study explain the learning models, learning media, and the application of microcontrollers in physics education.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively and learn independently is an important factor in student success in the learning process. One model that plays an important role in increasing creative thinking and independent learning is the project based learning (PjBL) model. This research aims to analyze the needs for project-based learning design to improve creative thinking abilities and learning independence. The research was conducted at a high school in Pekanbaru involving 76 students. Data collection methods use closed and open questionnaires. The research results show that project model learning is a model that many students are interested in. In the open-ended question, most students were interested in PjBL learning, which was 25 people. In the open-ended question, 64.5% agreed that the physics project helped them disseminate their understanding. Apart from that, students' creative thinking abilities and learning independence are not yet optimal, so it is necessary to design a learning model that is popular and can improve students' creative thinking abilities and learning independence.

Abstract

Islamic Integrated mathematics learning is aan education approach that involves Islamic values in mathematics materials to provide useful learning experiences to students. This study aims to desceibe students’ perceptions of Islamic Integration Student Worksheets on KPK & FPB material. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This research method is a survey using a questionnaire instrument. The variable in this study is the perception of grade V students at SDN 23 KUBANG PUTIH towards the Islamic Integration Student Worksheet. The population in this study included all grade V students at SDN 23 KUBANG PUTIH, totaling 22 students. The technique used in sampling is by using Purposive sampling technique. The result showed that students’ perceptions of the Islamic Integration LKS KPK & FPB material obtained most students strongly agree that this Islamic Integrated based LKS really helps students in understanding learning and remembering the concepts of learning concepts and can add Islamic insight for students so that students feel more interested in Islamic integrated based LKS, this is in accordance with the percentage obtained from the questionnaire that been given to students .

Abstract

Keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran seperti bahan ajar dapat berpengaruh terhadap penyelenggaraan pembelajaran. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat kemampuan, dan gaya belajar peserta didik. Salah satu sumber belajar yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membuat bahan ajar berupa lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis lingkungan sekitar adalah di taman wisata alam (TWA) Pantai Panjang Kota Bengkulu. Keragaman capung di TWA Pantai Panjang ini berpotensi sebagai sumber belajar berbasis lingkungan karena lokasi yang masih alami. Potensi ini diharapkan akan membuat peserta didik dapat melihat bentuk nyata materi yang diajarkan dari lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis capung (odonata) di TWA Pantai Panjang Kota Bengkulu untuk menjadi dasar pembuatan LKPD pada materi keanekaragaman hayati tingkat jenis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R&D (penelitian dan pengembangan). Hasil penelitian di TWA ditemukan 7 spesies capung yaitu Orthetrum sabina, Diplacodes trivialis, Pantala flavescens, Tholymis tillarga, Lathrecista asiatica dan Orthetrum glaucum. Semua jenis capung ini termasuk ke dalam sub ordo Anisoptera famili Libellulidae. Hasil validasi LKPD oleh validator (ahli media, ahli materi dan guru biologi SMA 1 Kota Bengkulu) diperoleh rata-rata 92,5% dengan kriteria sangat valid sehingga LKPD telah dapat diujicobakan sebagai bahan ajar materi keanekaragaman hayati SMA kelas X (sepuluh).
