Abstract

This article aims to analyze the quality of even semester final summative questions of PAI subjects in class VIII of Modern Al Rifa Ie Junior High School in Malang in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The results showed that the quality of question items based on validity, on short description questions there are 13 valid items, true-false questions there are 6 questions, the type of long description questions there are 5 items. The quality of question items based on reliability, on the short description questions the questions used have a high reliability coefficient of 0.798, true-false questions have a high reliability coefficient of 0.609, while the type of long description questions have a low reliability coefficient of 0.560. The quality of questions based on the level of difficulty, in the short description question there is 1 difficult item, 2 medium items, and 17 easy items. In true-false questions and long descriptions, all questions are categorized as easy items. The quality of questions based on differentiating power, in the short description question there are 12 items that have poor differentiating power, 2 items have sufficient differentiating power, 3 items have good differentiating power, and 3 items have excellent differentiating power. For the results of the analysis on true-false questions, there are 6 items that have poor differentiating power, 1 item has sufficient differentiating power, and 3 items have good differentiating power. As for the long description items, there are 2 items that have poor differentiating power, 2 items have sufficient differentiating power, and 1 item has excellent differentiating power.

Abstract

Era digital membawa dampak signifikan pada sistem administrasi dan pelaporan pendidikan termasuk pesantren. Sistem administrasi dan pelaporan digital berbasis internet secara bertahap menggeser posisi sistem konvensional lembaga pendidikan. Berbagai teknologi digital dikembangkan dalam upaya memberikan kemudahan pada sistem administrasi dan pelaporan pendidikan pesantren dengan menjalin kerjasama antara penyelenggara pendidikan pesantren, alumni, masyarakat hingga Kementrian Agama Republik Indonesia. Santri App ialah aplikasi yang berfungsi untuk mengelola administrasi kelembagaan dan kesantrian serta pelaporan akademik. Aplikasi ini sangat mudah digunakan dan dikembangkan pada lembaga pendidikan pesantren dengan menawarkan layanan dan fitur komprehensif pada sistem administrasi dan pelaporan pesantren. Akses aplikasi Santri App terintegrasi dengan wali santri, sehingga memudahkan untuk memantau kegiatan santri melalui aplikasi. Fokus kajian penelitian ini tidak hanya mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan secara mendalam mengenai sistem administrasi dan pelaporan pendidikan, namun juga pemanfaatan aplikasi Santri App pada sistem administrasi dan pelaporan pendidikan pesantren dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan berdasarkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa Aplikasi Santri App merupakan salah satu aplikasi berbasis website yang dapat digunakan oleh guru dan tenaga kependidikan lainnya yang terintegerasi dengan wali santri. Aplikasi ini menawarkan akurasi, transparansi, efisiensi, serta efektivitas pada administrasi dan pelaporan pendidikan. aplikasi ini dapat memberikan informasi komprehensif sebagai bahan penentuan keputusan atau kebijakan pendidikan pesantren berikutnya.

Abstract

Penurunan karakter bangsa menjadi salah satu masalah krusial yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan saat ini, khususnya dalam pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Fenomena ini terlihat pada perilaku pelajar yang menunjukkan semakin lemahnya penerapan nilai-nilai moral dan etika, baik di lingkungan pendidikan maupun di masyarakat. Kondisi ini menjadi indikasi bahwa pendidikan karakter, terutama di lembaga pendidikan formal, masih memerlukan penguatan yang serius. Madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis keislaman memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa sebagai landasan moral yang kuat dalam menghadapi dinamika kehidupan modern. Pembentukan karakter religius bukan hanya aspek tambahan, melainkan bagian integral dalam kurikulum dan proses pendidikan di madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik di MIS YASIM Nipa, Kabupaten Bima. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi tahapan pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, serta penyajian data. Keabsahan data diperiksa melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik untuk memastikan validitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembentukan karakter religius di MIS YASIM Nipa kabupaten Bima mencakup beberapa pendekatan, seperti pembiasaan, keteladanan, pemberian reward dan punishment, penciptaan lingkungan yang nyaman dan menyenangkan, kerja sama antara madrasah dan orang tua, serta penerapan kurikulum berbasis karakter.

Abstract

Curriculum change is one of the problems that arises related to the curriculum. There were various responses from teachers, students and parents regarding this curriculum change. Some of them argued that the curriculum was changed too quickly, giving rise to statement "change minister, change curriculum". This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature study (library research). Library study research is a type of research where data is taken through the process of reviewing books, journal articles, and notes related to the problem to be solved (Sari & Asmendri, 2020, p. 43). In this research, researchers studied several journal articles related to the research themes raised and then analyzed them using research procedures according to Kuhltau (Kuhltau, 2002) Perception in the narrow sense is defined as vision, meaning the way an individual sees something. Meanwhile, in a broad sense, perception is defined as a view or understanding, meaning the way an individual views or understands something (Rezki et al., 2020, p. 32). Kottler in Ririn Agustina and Dea Mustika states that perception is a process through which individuals select, organize and interpret information in order to obtain meaningful ideas (Agustina & Mustika, 2023, p. 362). Changing the curriculum from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum is a good thing planned by the government to improve the quality of education in Indonesia due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So that the results of changing the curriculum can be seen in the field, it must be supported by teachers who are competent in their fields.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model to address low student performance in the Fiqh subject at MTs Al-Irsyad 07 Batu, where 28% of students scored below the minimum competency threshold (KKM), largely due to the density of reading material. The research aims to explore the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of the learning model, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its effectiveness. Adopting a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the Head of Madrasah, Deputy for Curriculum, Fiqh teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the planning process includes formulating learning objectives, selecting relevant materials, and preparing appropriate teaching strategies. Implementation occurs in three phases: preparation, instruction, and closure. Evaluation encompasses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The study concludes that the Make a Match method fosters an engaging learning environment that enhances students’ motivation and learning skills in Fiqh. The findings suggest that employing varied and interactive instructional strategies can improve learning outcomes and create a more dynamic classroom experience. These results offer practical implications for educators seeking to enhance instructional quality and student engagement in religious education.

Abstract

Understanding the determinants of students’ academic achievement is critical, particularly in the context of Islamic Cultural History education at the madrasah level. This study investigates the influence of the learning environment and religiosity on the academic achievement of students at MTs Almaarif 01 Singosari. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the research involved 276 randomly selected students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires to assess students' perceptions of their learning environment and religiosity, while academic achievement was measured using report card scores. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that both the learning environment and religiosity significantly influence academic achievement, both jointly and independently. The learning environment emerged as the more dominant predictor, with a standardized beta coefficient of 0.280, compared to religiosity with a beta coefficient of 0.163. The model's R² value of 0.146 indicates that these two variables explain 14.6% of the variance in academic achievement, suggesting that additional unmeasured factors also contribute to students' academic performance. These findings underscore the importance of fostering both conducive learning conditions and strong religious values to support educational success. The study highlights the need for a holistic educational approach that integrates physical, social, and spiritual dimensions to create a supportive and sustainable learning ecosystem in madrasah settings.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of a religious-based Child-Friendly School Program (SRA) at MTs. Almaarif 01 Singosari and its influence on the development of student character. The research investigates how the integration of religious values, positive discipline policies, and the active involvement of parents and school committees contribute to shaping students' behavior. The study is motivated by the ongoing challenges in character education, particularly the need for a holistic approach that blends academic learning with moral and spiritual development. Using a qualitative case study methodology, the research employs data collection methods such as observations, interviews, and document analysis. Key informants include school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and school committee members, providing a comprehensive view of the program’s impact. The findings reveal that the SRA program has effectively created a supportive environment for character building, with significant contributions from the school’s discipline policies and the involvement of all stakeholders. The program has led to improvements in student behavior, including increased discipline, responsibility, and respect for religious values. This research highlights the importance of integrating character education with religious teachings and demonstrates how collaborative efforts among educators, parents, and the community can foster a well-rounded educational environment. The findings have broader implications for the development of similar programs in other educational contexts, particularly in promoting moral and spiritual growth among students.

Abstract

Supervision is a form of supervision or assessment carried out by school principals to improve the quality or quality of education of an institution. Therefore, an institution must really pay attention to supervision activities. To create good supervision activities, it is necessary to have supporting instruments, as in MI Islamiyah Malang has a strategy and process on how to prepare supervision instruments and analyze the quality of education reporting. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, while the data collection techniques used are observation, interviewing and documentation with the Miles and Huberman model data analysis techniques including data collection, data reduction, data reduction and drawing conclusions with the data validity technique of source triangulation. The results of the research show that the strategy used by the principal of MI Islamiyah Malang in supervision is by utilizing technology, adapting to members' needs and analyzing age levels. And for the process of preparing supervision instruments, namely by carrying out planning stages or pre-observation, observation and follow-up processes. Then finally, the reporting analysis carried out by MI Islamiyah Malang is collecting, verifying and classifying, summarizing, calculating, storing and retrieving, reproducing and finally communicating.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is closely linked to the development of teacher competence and professionalism, especially in facing the challenges of the digital era. This study aims to explore the implementation of a performance appraisal system and a continuous professional development (CPD) program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Maslakul Huda Lamongan as a strategy to enhance teacher competence. A qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Method triangulation was applied to ensure data validity. The results indicate that the performance appraisal system at MI Maslakul Huda is systematically designed, focusing on four core competencies: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional. This appraisal motivates teachers to enhance their capacity, particularly in the use of technology. The CPD program includes training, both internal and external supervision, and dissemination of training outcomes. The school has provided digital infrastructure and technology training, including artificial intelligence (AI). However, challenges such as digital competence gaps remain. Institutional support through continuous supervision and incentives has proven effective in encouraging teachers. The study concludes that a combination of targeted performance appraisal and relevant CPD is an effective strategy to improve teaching quality in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning of clinical supervision programme, clinical stages, and supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of clinical supervision at MTs Badrussalam Indonesia. implementation of clinical supervision at MTs Badrussalam Indonesia in Malang City. The method used is a qualitative method with data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model, including: data collection data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed (1) The implementation of the principal's clinical supervision begins with planning the clinical supervision programme and making a schedule for implementing clinical supervision. (2) The implementation of clinical supervision is carried out with the planning stage, the classroom observation stage, the meeting stage (discussion back). (3) Supporting factors for the implementation of clinical supervision: a) The desire to improve the teaching ability of teachers, b) Teachers and staff have expectations to become professional teachers in their fields. The inhibiting factors are: a) the agreed supervision schedule can change, b) teachers who will be supervised often feel tense, c) sometimes there are also technical obstacles such as the use of problematic teaching aids.
