Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan proses kesalahan konstruksi konsep peserta didik berdasarkan indikator kesalahan konstruksi konsep serta mengetahui level scaffolding yang dapat diberikan berdasarkan teori APOS. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 3 orang yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditentukan. Instrument menggunakan soal tes dengan pengerjaan secara think aloud dan lembar wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dengan (1) mereduksi data (2) Menyajikan data (3) Menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesalahan konstruksi konsep matematika pada tahap Action peserta didik melakukan kesalahan lubang konstruksi, mis-logical construction, mis-analogical construction. Tahap process berupa kesalahan lubang konstruksi. Tahap Object kesalahan mis-analogical construction. Tahap Schema berupa kesalahan mis-logical construction. Pemberian scaffolding level II pada tahap Action adalah explaining dan reviewing. Tahap Process adalah explaining dan restructuring. Tahap Object adalah restructuring. Tahap Schema pemberian scaffolding level III yaitu developing conceptual thinking. This study aims to analyze and describe the process of students' conceptual construction errors based on indicators of conceptual construction errors and to determine the level of scaffolding that can be given based on the APOS theory. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were 3 people who fit the specified criteria. The instrument uses test questions with think aloud workmanship and interview sheets. Data analysis techniques are carried out by (1) reducing data (2) presenting data (3) drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that in the Action stage students made mistakes in the construction of mathematical concepts in the Action stage, they made mistakes in construction holes, mis-logical construction, mis-analogical construction. The process stage is in the form of construction hole errors. Stage Object error mis-analogical construction. The Schema stage is in the form of a mis-logical construction error. Giving scaffolding level II at the Action stage is explaining and reviewing. The Process stage is explaining and restructuring. The Object stage is restructuring. The Schema stage of giving scaffolding level III is developing conceptual thinking.

Abstract

The demands of 21st Century learning are now in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 with 4C learning characters. Educators must develop their creativity to improve the quality of learning so that students can be more creative in learning. Instrumental Analytical Chemistry is a course that studies modern instrumentation for chemical analysis. The instrumentation is unavailable in the laboratory because it is costly. This research aims to develop a virtual laboratory media UV-Vis Spectrophotometer that can be used in the digital practicum of the Instrumental Analytical Chemistry Course. The method used is development research (R & D) by adapting the multimedia model ID Hannafin & Peck, using Macromedia flash applications. This research shows that the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer virtual lab developed provides excellent feasibility results and is also effective for use in lectures and digital practicum of Instrumental Analytical Chemistry lectures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan aktivitas metakognitif dan kegagalan metakognitif yang muncul pada siswa selama proses pemecahan masalah matematis. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa SMK Yadika Jambi, pemilihan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih 1 orang siswa yang dapat mewakili populasi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes berupa 1 soal uraian yang bersifat HOTS dan wawancara untuk menggali pemahaman siswa mengenai jawaban yang dikerjakan dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara tak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terjadi kegagalan metakognitif pada aktivitas metakognitif siswa. Kegagalan metakognitif siswa didasari oleh beberapa indikator, yaitu metakognitif mirage yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa mengacuhkan strategi yang bermanfaat, mengubah perhitungan yang sudah benar dan menolak jawaban benar tersebut, metakognitif vandalism yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa menerapkan struktur konseptual secara tidak tepat, dan metakognitif blindness yang merupakan keadaan dimana siswa mengabaikan adanya kesalahan perhitungan.

Abstract

[Improving Students' Science Literacy Ability Using the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model Assisted by Google Classroom During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Chemistry Subjects] Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning dimasa pandemi covid-19 dimana materi pelajaran di sampaikan secara daring melalaui google classroom. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN 1 Muaro Bungo pada materi pelajaran kimia semester genap tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu peneltian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada mata pelajaran kimia dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui karateristik siswa serta lembar pengamatan untuk mengetahui apakah guru telah melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan desain penelitian. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan pencapaian hasil belajar klasikal. Berdasarkan data penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dan karakter siswa pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus 3 dapat diketahui bahwa hasil belajar kognitif seluruh siswa telah melampaui KKM sebesar 75 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik

Abstract

[Improving the Basic Skills of Chemical Engineering Laboratories through Independent Practicum Assisted Using Virtual Laboratory Media during the Convid 19 Pandemic] Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran laboratorium virtual kimia teknik dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan dasar laboratorium mahasiswa pada saat belajar mandiri dirumah selama pandemi covid 19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan termasuk kedalam penelitian tindakan dengan tahap penelitian seperti yang dikemukakan oleh (Susman & Evered, 1978) yang terdiri dari 5 tahap penelitian yang berbentuk siklus. Yang menjadi subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa S1 disalah satu program studi di Undiksha yang mengambil mata kuliah kimia teknik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar pengamatan keterampilan dasar laboratorium kimia teknik. Data kuantitatif dan kualitatif dianalisis dengan metode  mixed method menggunakan desain explanatory. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa pada siklus ke 2 mahasiswa telah mampu menunjukkan keterampilan dasar laboratorium kimia teknik setelah melaksanakan praktikum secara mandiri menggunakan laboratorium virtual kimia teknik yang telah dikembangkan. Peningkatan keterampilan dasar laboratorium kimia dapat diketahui terjadi pada setiap aspek keterampilan dasar laboratorium berdasarkan hasil pengamatan.

Abstract

The paradigm of the current global era, if viewed from the perspective of users, has been a change from the previous pattern where libraries only waited for users, so now libraries must be promoted to users (promote service to users). This research aims to obtain a new look regarding information packaging as well as promotion of Jambi University Library services using the creative Flip Book application through an elaboration process presented digitally online and offline. The creations carried out are combining images, writing with color and additional media so that it is more attractive to entrepreneurship-based readers. This research is Research & Development in the field of multimedia development for promotion and information, with Flip Book Builder, using the ASSURE Multimedia Model ID. This research makes a contribution to the Jambi University Library service system through more attractive online promotional displays and higher quality content. This results in increasing user/community recognition of the Jambi University Library Unit which is also an effort to realize UNJA's vision as a World class Entrepreneurship University based on Agro-Industry and the Environment.So far, library packaging and promotion in digital form and online displays have not been available at the Jambi University Library Unit.

Abstract

Konsep diri akademik adalah representasi konseptual individu dari kemampuan akademik umum dan khusus. Konsep diri akademis bukanlah bawaan; Sebaliknya, itu muncul melalui keterlibatan berulang dengan konteks sosial yang beragam dan berkelanjutan, seperti lingkungan belajar. Dengan menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural, penelitian ini berupaya mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor psikologis lingkungan belajar yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan konsep diri akademik siswa. Kuesioner What is Happening in This Class (WIHIC) digunakan untuk mengevaluasi persepsi siswa tentang lingkungan belajar mereka, dan Physics Academic Self-Concept Inventory (PASCI) digunakan untuk menilai konsep diri akademik mereka dalam belajar fisika. Sampel terdiri dari 260 murid dari lima sekolah menengah atas negeri di kota Jambi. Hasil pemodelan persamaan struktural dengan varian (SEM-PLS) menunjukkan korelasi positif yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa tentang lingkungan belajar mereka (skala dukungan dan investigasi guru) dan konsep diri akademis mereka dalam belajar fisika. Temuan empiris penelitian ini berkontribusi signifikan terhadap literatur yang ada tentang pengaruh lingkungan belajar terhadap pengembangan konsep diri akademik dan prestasi akademik dalam fisika. Selain itu, temuan penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya menggunakan teknik dan intervensi khusus untuk menumbuhkan dan menumbuhkan persepsi diri akademik positif siswa di bidang pendidikan fisika.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the integration of PjBL with local wisdom to develop an innovative PjBL-Ethnoscience learning model. Incorporating ethnoscience-based approaches into PjBL, this model aims to equip students with 21st-century skills. Specifically, the research explores the potential of this model in the context of medicinal plant processing in Talang Duku Village, Jambi. Methodology: A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and participant observation to gather comprehensive data on current medicinal plant processing practices and the potential impacts of implementing the PjBL-Ethnoscience model. The study involved close interaction with local practitioners and students to understand this integrated learning model's practical applications and educational benefits. Main Findings: The findings reveal that the PjBL model's syntax effectively applies to medicinal plant processing activities. This integration enhances students' understanding of biological concepts related to plants and connects them with local cultural practices. The study demonstrates that such activities can serve as a robust foundation for biology education, particularly in plant-related topics, fostering a deeper appreciation of local knowledge and sustainable practices. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents a novel approach by merging the PjBL model with ethnoscience, particularly in medicinal plant processing in Talang Duku Village, Jambi. The study preserves cultural heritage and promotes sustainable practices by leveraging local wisdom. This innovative model provides a science learning base intimately connected to students' cultural backgrounds, making education more relevant and engaging. The PjBL-Ethnoscience model enhances academic learning and instills a sense of community and environmental stewardship among students.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an environment and learning process where students actively develop religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality and intelligence. The independent learning curriculum proposes changes to the education system for educational progress that is relevant to modern times. The independent learning goal is to create fun education for teachers and students. . Because chemistry subjects require an understanding of abstract concepts, students often have difficulty understanding them. Ethnoscience integrated learning is a new innovation in the world of education that combines culture and science. The 2022 PISA results show that Indonesian students' reading literacy has decreased by 12 points from the 2018 PISA results. These results also explain that Indonesian students are lower than the global literacy average of 117 points. Sadly, only 25.46% of Indonesian students reach the PISA minimum competency standards for reading. Learning media, or even multimedia, is not only a tool to help teachers, but also increases the literacy and character values of each student. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using interactive multimedia in integrated acid-base material in ethnoscience which is oriented towards scientific literacy abilities. The method used in this study is to compare data from several relevant journals. This research uses a narrative review approach. This research relies on secondary data such as journals and previous research on the relationship between interactive multimedia, ethnoscience, and scientific literacy. The research results show that interactive multimedia integrated with ethnoscience in acid-base material can influence scientific literacy abilities. This is proven from previous research sources that have been studied. Interactive multimedia with chemistry learning on interesting acid-base material integrated with ethnoscience has the benefit of influencing students' thinking abilities through interactive behavior. Chemistry material presented with an integrated ethnoscience culture can increase students' scientific literacy in learning.
