Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in a country's economic growth. However, some MSMEs still face obstacles in adopting digital marketing strategies and social media. This research focuses on Indah Rasa MSME and uses interview, observation, and documentation methods to collect data. The results of interviews with MSME owners identified problems and promotional strategies implemented. Observation techniques were used to understand field conditions, while documentation recorded historical data and MSME activities. The adoption of digital marketing strategies by MSMEs is important to improve competitiveness, but challenges related to knowledge, concerns over data security, and limited access to resources still need to be addressed. This research provides an in-depth insight into the data collection efforts and techniques used to understand the challenges and opportunities for MSMEs in implementing digital marketing

Abstract

English Version In every field of business entity the goal is to obtain maximum profits. To obtain maximum profits, companies need to take actions that can develop the company's image so that it affects company value. The high value of the company shows the results of a high level of return on investment and the company's ability to manage assets well so that the company is considered to be experiencing positive development. The value of various industrial companies in 2019 experienced a fall of tens of percent. This study aims to determine the factors that trigger changes in the value of various industrial companies listed on the IDX. This study aims to determine the factors that trigger changes in the value of various industrial companies. which is listed on the IDX. This study method uses a quantitative method using 28 company samples from the 2017 to 2021 period taken through the company's financial and annual reports. The analysis technique used in this research is panel regression. Based on the results of this research, the variables profitability, social responsibility and capital structure do not have a significant effect on company value, while the variables debt and company size have a significant positive effect on company value. Versi Indonesia Dalam setiap bidang badan usaha memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh keuntungan yang maksimum. Untuk memperoleh keuntungan yang maksimum perusahaan perlu melakukan aksi - aksi yang bisa mengembangkan citra perusahaan sehingga berpengaruh pada nilai perusahaan. Tingginya nilai perusahaan menunjukkan hasil tingkat pengembalian investasi yang tinggi dan kemampuan perusahaan dalam mengelola asset dengan baik sehingga perusahaan dinilai mengalami perkembangan yang positif. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang memicu perubahan pada nilai perusahaan aneka industri yang terdaftar di BEI. Metode studi ini memakai metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan 28 sampel perusahaan dari periode 2017 hingga 2021 yang diambil melalui laporan keuangan dan tahunan perusahaan. Teknik analisis yang dimaanfaatkan pada penelitian ini ialah regresi panel. Berdasarkan hasil studi ini variabel profitabilitas, tanggung jawab sosial dan struktur modal tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan sedangkan variabel utang dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a key driver in enhancing the competitiveness and operational efficiency of MSMEs. PT Olsera Indonesia Pratama, through its Point of Sale (POS) application, is committed to supporting the digital transformation of MSMEs in Indonesia. However, a significant challenge was identified in the settlement process, which was time-consuming and inefficient. This study aims to design a solution to accelerate and improve the accuracy of the settlement process. Methods included interviews with Olsera's Finance & Accounting team and direct observation of back-office workflows. The implemented solution involved creating a merchant database, developing automated Excel templates, and providing user guidelines. As a result, the settlement process time was reduced from several days to just 3 hours, with significant improvements in data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Abstract

Batam City has become a popular destination for individuals from outside the city seeking employment due to the numerous manufacturing companies established there, both from local and foreign sources. The success of these companies is influenced not only by the abilities of their workforce but also by how well employees adapt to their working environment. This study aims to explore whether intellectual capital and cultural intelligence impact innovation and performance within the manufacturing sector in Batam City, with knowledge sharing serving as a mediating variable for cultural intelligence. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the study is supported by primary data collected through surveys in the form of questionnaires. The researchers employed SPSS and Smart PLS software to analyze variable data and test the hypotheses. The findings reveal the following: 1) intellectual capital has no effect on innovation., 2) intellectual capital positively affects performance. 3) cultural intelligence positively affects innovation., 4) cultural intelligence positively affects knowledge sharing. 5) knowledge sharing positively affects innovation., 6) innovation positevely affecs on performance, and 7) cultural intelligence affects innovation through knowledge sharing as a mediating variable. In relation to these results, this research is recommended as a reference for managers in improving innovation and performance

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the impact of board diversity on the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) performance of companies. The study investigates board diversity in terms of board attributes such as board size, board gender diversity, and board independence. The data used is secondary data obtained from financial and sustainability reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The sample of this research consists of 29 companies, with a total of 145 data points. The sampling method used to obtain data is purposive sampling based on certain criteria. The analysis method used is panel regression, and STATA software is employed for data processing. The results of the study indicate that board gender diversity and board size do not affect ESG performance. However, board independence does have an impact on ESG performance.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the impact of macroeconomic variables on gold prices in Indonesia. The variables analyzed include inflation, interest rates, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and unemployment rates. The data used covers an eleven-year period, from January 2013 to December 2023. The results of the study show that inflation and interest rates have a negative but insignificant effect on gold prices. Conversely, GDP and unemployment rates have a significant positive effect on changes in gold prices in Indonesia. The results of this study can be a reference for investors in planning gold investments in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of technological changes, organizational culture, and government policies and support on corporate entrepreneurial innovation in SMEs, through the mediation of strategic orientation, human capital, and policies and procedures, targeting SMEs located in Batam City. The method used is a quantitative approach, using statistical testing and hypothesis testing through SMARTPLS software, to conduct inner and outer modeling tests. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that technological changes, organizational culture, and government policies and support show a significant influence on the formation of strategic orientation and policies and procedures. Organizational culture is able to show a significant influence on human capital, but technological changes and policies and government support do not show a significant influence on the formation of human capital. In addition, this study also proves that strategic orientation and policies and government support show a significant influence on innovation and corporate entrepreneurship of SMEs in Batam City. Meanwhile, human capital does not significantly affect innovation and corporate entrepreneurship of SMEs in Batam City.

Abstract

The newer generation, particularly Generation Z (Gen Z), has a distinct perspective due to the advancements in digital technology. Currently, a significant number of them are interested in establishing their own enterprises, and a few of them are internationally recognized. The objective of this investigation is to investigate the factors that influence the international entrepreneurial intention of Gen Z in creating international ventures, such as entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial opportunity identification, entrepreneurial motivation, and family support. The survey employed purposive sampling and a quantitative methodology, included 265 Gen Z respondents from Indonesia. The SmartPLS 3.0 results indicated that entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial motivation, and family support each had a significant impact on international entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, entrepreneurial motivation had significant impact on family support. However, entrepreneurial opportunity identification did not have a significant effect on international entrepreneurial intention. These results suggest that the emotional and pedagogical support provided to the younger generation significantly influences their inclinations to pursue international entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Abstrak Fokus utama perusahaan perbankan dalam menjaga keberlangsungan diera globalisasi tetap terletak pada Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Meskipun dilengkapi dengan fasilitas modern, kelancaran operasional perusahaan tetap bergantung pada keberadaan sumber daya manusia  yang berkompeten. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa SDM menjadi kunci pokok yang harus dipertahankan untuk mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak dari variabel-variabel seperti kepemimpinan, kompensasi, kompetensi, gaji, kemudahan penggunaan fasilitas dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada perusahaan perbankan di kota Batam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden yang bekerja di perusahaan perbankan yang ada di kota Batam. Jumlah sampel responden yang diterima adalah 304 responden. Peneliti memilih 3 bank yang mencetak laba terbesar sepanjang 2021 yang terdapat di Indonesia, bank tersebut diantaranya PT. Bank Central Asia  (BCA), PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) dan PT. Bank Mandiri. Data penelitian yang teilah dipeiroleih diolah meingguinakan aplikasi SMART PLS (Partial Leiast Squiarei). Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa variabel kepemimpinan, kompensasi, gaji, kemudahan penggunaan fasilitas dan lingkungan kerja memiliki hubungan yang signifikan positif terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan. Dengan begitu diharapkan pada manajemen perusahaan jasa perbankan dapat mempertimbangkan semua variabel yang telah diteliti untuk dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dan juga keberhasilan suatu perusahaan. Kata kunci: kepemimpinan; kompensasi; gaji; kemudahan penggunaan fasilitas; lingkungan kerja Abstract The main focus of banking companies in maintaining sustainability in the era of globalization still lies in Human Resources (HR). Although equipped with modern facilities, the smooth operation of the company still depends on the existence of competent human resources. This shows that HR is the main key that must be maintained to achieve the expected results. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of variables such as leadership, compensation, competence, salary, ease of use of facilities and work environment on employee performance in banking companies in Batam city. This research was conducted using quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to respondents who work in banking companies in the city of Batam. The number of respondent samples received was 304 respondents. Researchers chose 3 banks that made the biggest profits throughout 2021 in Indonesia, these banks include PT Bank Central Asia (BCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and PT Bank Mandiri. The research data that has been obtained is processed using the SMART PLS (Partial Leiast Squiarei) application. The results of this study prove that the variables of leadership, compensation, salary, ease of use of facilities and work environment have a significant positive relationship to employee performance variables. Abstract

This study examines the financial behavior of Generation Y and Z in Batam by highlighting the role of psychological factors. Unlike previous research that emphasizes low financial literacy as the primary cause of poor financial behavior, this study explores how locus of control and financial self-efficacy mediate or moderate that relationship. Using a causal research design, snowball sampling technique, and online questionnaires, the findings reveal that both financial literacy and locus of control significantly influence financial behavior, with financial self-efficacyserving as a mediator. These results suggest that financial behavior is shaped not only by financial literacy but also by psychological factors such as self-control. The practical implication is the need for financial education programs that enhance not only knowledge but also psychological skills to support more informed financial decision-making.
