Abstract

One of the measures to accommodate the learning needs of slow learner students is as a form of support for the inclusion paradigm in schools. Learning that is attempted by the teacher is an effort to condition slow learner students according to their learning needs. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy counseling to increase the Self Esteem of Slow Learner Children in Inclusion Schools SMP Negeri 15 Cirebon. . To achieve such objective, the study used single subject design with the pattern of multiple baseline across individuals done in eleven sessions of observation, namely 3 baseline A1 sessions, 5 times intervention session, and 3 baseline A2 sessions. For more, the subjects of this study were two indicated experiencing self esteem. In this state, behavior target was reduced from self esteem behavior. Meanwhile, the data of the observed subjects were collected thorough direct observation method with Goal Attainment Scale guides. Further, visual graph analyses were carried out to look for mean, the degree of level of performance, rapidity behavior change, the trend of performance, stability levels, and overlap data which were then followed by T score and z score calculations. The results showed that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy counseling was able to increase self esteem. For further research, you can use a reversal design pattern so that it can be seen about the comparison of the two baseline conditions before and after the intervention so that the effect of consistent behavior change in the intervention phase can be revealed more deeply

Abstract

Cheating behavior grows from a tolerant attitude towards cheating and low self-efficacy. This research was conducted to test the effectiveness of group counseling with congnitive restructuring techniques to reduce students' attitudes towards cheating and increase the self-efficacy of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta. The experimental method used was randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design, involving 14 students as research subjects who were selected purposively from a total of 123 students in class XI. There are two instruments used, namely Attitude Toward Cheating (ATC) for the attitude scale towards cheating and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) for the self-efficacy scale. The results of this study indicate that cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce attitudes towards cheating and increase student self-efficacy seen from the effectiveness level of cognitive restructuring techniques show that the results are significant. This study confirms the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce the tendency to cheat by reducing cheating attitudes and increasing self-efficacy.

Abstract

Life satisfaction refers to one’s assessment of life in general. Low life satisfaction leads to negative impacts to a person’s mental health condition. This study identified and analyzed the relationship between the future time perspective and life satisfaction through hope in 567 state high school students in Semarang City. Data were collected using the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), Synder Hope Scale (SHS) and Future Time Perspective Scale (FTPS). The results of the analysis showed that hope fully mediated the relationship between future time perspective and students’ life satisfaction. This study found that students with good future perspective were satisfied with life because they were able to make route in achieving their goals. The results of this study can be used as insights in counseling intervention and for further research.

Abstract

Student engagement in learning is essential in creating active, creative, and fun learning. Unfortunately, not all students are engaged cognitively, emotionally, and behaviorally in learning. This study intends to prove that self-esteem can mediate the relationship between mindfulness and student engagement. This correlational study involved 469 students from four Senior/Vocational High schools in East Lampung Regency. The result of this study revealed that mindfulness predicts higher self-esteem. Mindfulness predicts student engagement. Self-esteem predicts student engagement. Mindfulness also increases student engagement through increased self-esteem. The implications of this study suggest the importance of appreciating student’s mental state and performance in the learning process.

Abstract

Career adaptability is an individual’s readiness which develops over time from the age of children, adolescents, to adults and functions to overcome predictable tasks and participate directly in the work environment and roles. Low adaptability of careers can cause individuals to have difficulty in preparing for their future careers. This study aimed to determine whether career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) group counseling effectively improves students’ career adaptability. It was an experimental study that used a randomized pretest-posttest control group design by selecting 18 of 360 students as the subjects of this study and dividing them into 2 groups, namely experimental and control groups. In analyzing the data, this study used Mixed MANOVA. Findings confirmed that career decision self-efficacy group counseling was effective in improving students’ career adaptability (F (1.16) = 1401.74, p < 0.01. This effectiveness could also be seen in the effect of time (F (2,32) = 462.18, p < 0.01), and the effect of the interaction between time and group (F (2,32) = 443.38, p < 0.01). Finally, the current study confirms that to improve students’ career adaptability, counselors or guidance and counseling teachers can apply CDSE to group counseling services.

Abstract

Most preschool children show incapabilities of overcoming anxieties so that they have negative emotions while parting with an intimate figure. This research examined parental attachment toward early childhood children's parting anxieties. The research population consisted of 793 participants aged 5-6 years old. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. It involved 185 early childhood children (87 boys and 98 girls). The data were collected through a questionnaire. The data technique used the Parental-Child Attachment-Child Survey questionnaire to measure parental attachment to children. Separation anxiety in early childhood was measured using the Children's Separation Anxiety Disorders (CSAS) questionaire. Each question item was read by the researcher to facilitate the children. The applied analysis was a simple linear regression. It was to analyze the parental attachment toward children's separation anxiety. The result shows Fcount = 15.26 < Ftable = 3.045 with a Sig value 0.000 < 0.05. It means high parental attachment lowered children's separation anxiety at schools. This child-parent intimacy supported adaptive social quality in a peer group. It also provided a positive foundation for their further development.

Abstract

Schools play an important role in shaping and developing the potentials of students, in developing the potentials of students, it is necessary to create an attractive, safe, comfortable, and conducive school climate so that learning objectives are achieved, but unfortunately the rampant behaviour of bullying causes the classroom climate to be unsatisfactory. conducive and cause problems. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) counselling to reduce bullying behaviour in students of SMP Negeri 2 Angsana. This study used the Single-Subject Design (SSD) method with multiple baseline cross-variable patterns conducted in 11 observation sessions consisting of 3 baseline A1 sessions, 6 intervention sessions and 3 baseline A2 sessions. In conducting observations, researchers used the Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) instrument and analyzed using visual charts. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-efficacy dan konformitas dengan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Negeri Semarang baik secara parsial maupun secara bersama-sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 125 dari populasi 284 mahasiswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara self-efficacy dengan prokrastinasi akademik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R= 0,565, F(3,121) = 18,903, p = <0,01), kemudian antara konformitas dengan prokrastinasi akademik tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R= 0,030, F(5,116) = 1,265, p = >0,05). Sedangkan antara self-efficacy dan konformitas dengan prokrastinasi akademik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R = 0,595, F(18,903) = 7,957, p = <0,01). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian guru Bimbingan dan Konseling disarankan memberikan layanan BK untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik melalui pengembangan self-efficacy dan konformitas. This study aims to determine the relationship of self-efficacy and conformity with academic procrastination of students Guidance and Counseling State University of Semarang either partially or jointly. This research uses correlational quantitative design. The sample used is 125 from the population of 284 students with simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique using regression. The results showed that between self-efficacy and academic procrastination had significant relationship (R = 0,565, F (3,121) = 18,903, p = <0,01), then between conformity with academic procrastination had no significant relationship (R = 0,030 , F (5,116) = 1,265, p = >0,05). While between self-efficacy and conformity with academic procrastination have significant relationship (R = 0,595, F (18,903) = 7,957, p = <0,01). Based om the results of research Guidance and Counseling teachers are advised to provide Guidance and Counseling services to decrease academic procrastination through the development of self-efficacy and conformity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dan regulasi emosi dengan prokrastinasi akademik lembaga kemahasiswaan baik secara parsial maupun bersama-sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif kolerasional. Sampel yang digunakan 169 dari populasi 365 mahasiswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster sampling. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara konsep diri dan prokrastinasi akademik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R = 0,394, F(4,164) = 7,523, p = <0,01), kemudian antara regulasi emosi dan prokrastinasi akademik juga memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R =0,129 , F(3,161) =8,756 p = <0,01). Begitu pula dengan konsep diri dan regulasi emosi dengan prokrastinasi akademik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (R =0,523 , F(7,161) =8,661 p = <0,01). This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and emotion regulation with academic procrastination in student institutions either partially or jointly. This research uses correlational quantitative design. The sample used amounted 10 169 of the population 365 student with cluster sampling technique. The data analysis technique regression. The results showed that between self concept and academic procrastination have significant relation R = 0,394, F(4,164) = 7,523, p = <0,01), then between emotion regulation and academic procrastination also have significant relation (R =0,129 , F(3,161) =8,756 p = <0,01). Similarly, between self concept and emotion regulation with academic procrastination also have a significant relationship (R =0,523 , F(7,161) =8,661 p = <0,01).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kekerasan keluarga adalah permasalahan yang banyak terjadi di masyakarat dan dari tahun ke tahun jumlahnya semakin meningkat. Mayoritas yang mengalami tindak kekerasan dalam keluarga adalah ibu dan anak, khususnya anak yang usianya masih tergolong rentan. Anak yang mengalami tindak kekerasan dalam keluarga akan memiliki tingkat self-esteem yang rendah. Sel-esteem rendah mengakibatkan anak mudah stress, depresi, mudah cemas, tertekan, dan prestasi akademik buruk. Untuk meningkatkan self-esteem anak korban domestic violence dapat menggunakan teknik modeling melalui konseling kelompok. Tujuan penelitian ini menguji konseling kelompok pendekatan REBT teknik modeling efektif untuk meningkatkan self-esteem siswa korban domestic violence. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan one group pre test post test. Data diambil melalui sampel representatif (mewakili). Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu skala self-esteem dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,867, wawancara dan observasi sebagai data pendukung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan konseling kelompok pendekatan REBT teknik modeling efektif untuk meningkatkan self-esteem siswa korban domestic violence (Z= -2,032, P < 0,05). Hasil terakhir terdapat perbedaan tingkat self-esteem siswa sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan perlakuan. ABSTRACT Violence of families were problems what happens in community and from year to year the number increase. Of the majority of experienced report of violence in of families were maternal and child, especially children who was are susceptible. Children were having report of violence in the family will have a low self-esteem. Self-esteem low caused boy easy stress, depression, easily alarmed, depressed, and academic performance bad. To increase self-esteem the victims children domestic violence can use technique modeling through counseling group. The purpose of this research test counseling approach engineering group rebt modeling effective to accelerate self-esteem students the domestic violence. Research this experiment use one group pre test post test. Data taken through sample representatif. An instrument used the scale self-esteem with the reliability 0,867, interviews and observation as the supporting data. This research result indicates counseling a group of an approach to a REBT the technique of modeling effective to accelerate self-esteem students a victim of domestic violence (Z= -2,032, P < 0,05). The latest results there are the difference in the self-esteem students before and after get treatment.
