Abstract

Waste cooking oil becomes a health problem if consumed and causes damage to natural ecosystems if it is thrown into the environment. Utilizing used cooking oil waste into aromatherapy candles is an appropriate alternative. The aim of this activity is to reduce waste and increase the creativity of Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) women to create superior regional products. This activity consists of four stages, namely creation, testing, socialization, and experimental demonstration. The result of this activity is that it can provide change in the form of the emergence of an initiative by PKK women to produce products that have sales value and have benefits.

Abstract

Air pollution is a problem that needs attention because it can threaten human life. Many human activities cause air pollution. Especially in closed rooms such as ship engine rooms. Therefore, an air pollution detection tool is needed to determine the air pollution index in that place in order to maintain pollution levels below the threshold value. Therefore, it is necessary to have a tool to detect air pollution using the MQ-135 gas sensor to detect carbon dioxide (CO2) gas and TGS2106 to detect nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gas. The type of research method used is the experimental research method. After designing the tool, testing the tool, the air pollution detection system in the engine room wirelessly using the MQ135 and TGS2106 sensors based on LoRa Ra-02 had an average error rate of 1.3% for the MQ135 sensor reading while the TGS2106 sensor reading had an average level. -average error of 6%. Therefore, the Air Pollution Detection System in the Engine Room Wirelessly Using the MQ135 and TGS2106 Sensors Based on LoRa Ra-02 can work well.

Abstract

Inductive loads on ships are loads that cause the power factor value to move away from 1.00, especially if the addition of this type of load exceeds the standard and the load is installed unbalanced, it can worsen the power factor value. A low power factor value results in soaring current values and reactive power, which often results in cable insulation burning and reduced efficiency. The aim of this research is to create a tool that can automatically correct low power factor values using a Capacitor Bank, PZEM-004T sensor and ESP32 controller at certain inductive loads and can monitor and record electrical load parameter data from various areas on the ship online and offline. This research uses a trial and error method. Based on the test results, this tool can automatically improve the power factor value of inductive loads in the form of TL lamps and electro motors to above 0.90 and the working current value of TL lamps can be reduced from 0.30-0.31 A to 0.17-0.18 A. Electro motors experience a decrease in current from 0.74-0.76 A to 0.66-0.68 A. This tool is also equipped with a system for monitoring and recording load parameter data using Google Spreadsheet when an internet connection is available. If an internet connection is not available, the recording will be transferred using Micro-SD.

Abstract

Pupuk organik berperan dalam meningkatkan kesuburan fisik, kimia dan biologi tanah serta mengefisienkan penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Kualitas dan komposisi pupuk organik bervariasi tergantung dari bahan dasar kompos dan proses pembuatannya.Dari hasil survey yang sudah dilakukan oleh Tim Pengabdian Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UNIKS terhadap para petani padi dan sayuran di Desa Banjar Benai, Kecamatan Benai Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi diketahui bahwa para petani di lokasi terebut sudah ada menggunakan pupuk organik yang dipadukan dengan pupuk kimia. Akan tetapi penggunaannya belum maksimal. Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini yakni memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang seluk-beluk pupuk organik dan cara-cara pembuatannya dari sumber daya hayati yang banyak terdapat di lingkungan sekitar petani itu sendiri. Berdasarkan hasil follow up setelah dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian maka diperoleh target pencapaian sebesar 91,96% dengan kategori Sangat Bagus, hal ini berarti bahwa kegiatan Pengabdian yang dilakukan Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UNIKS berjalan secara efektif.

Abstract

In the digital era, digital learning platforms have become an essential tool in the educational process. However, the success of a platform is not only determined by the availability of content but also by a satisfying user experience. To achieve this, developers often adopt the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) strategy, which allows them to release a product with minimal features to quickly obtain user feedback. Meanwhile, the Design Thinking approach provides a framework for deeply understanding user needs. This paper combines these two approaches to designing the UI/UX for the digital learning platform "Mentor on Demand", focusing on an optimized user experience where the usability testing results are obtained with scores for Students = 6 and Mentors = 5.9 both getting Pass Results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile through multidisciplinary synergy based on digital transformation in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMAN 2 Bone. The Pancasila Student Profile serves as an important foundation in shaping students who are characterized, creative, independent, critical thinkers, and capable of adapting to the development of digital technology. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school stakeholders participating in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The results of the study indicate that multidisciplinary synergy through the integration of various subjects and the utilization of digital technology can enhance students’ engagement in the learning process. The implementation of digital transformation was carried out through the use of interactive learning media, digital platforms, and collaborative projects that support the strengthening of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. In addition, the application of project-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum encourages students to become more active, innovative, and capable of critical thinking in solving problems. Therefore, strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile through multidisciplinary synergy based on digital transformation can be an effective strategy to improve the quality of education and to shape students’ character in accordance with the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan atau Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan dampak transformasi yang masif di berbagai sektor, termasuk pendidikan. Guru dituntut untuk beradaptasi dengan alat digital guna menciptakan suasana belajar interaktif bagi siswa generasi Z dan Alpha. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan memberikan solusi atas keterbatasan literasi digital guru di SD Brainfor Islamic School melalui pelatihan intensif pemanfaatan Generative AI. Fokus kegiatan meliputi penggunaan AI Teks (ChatGPT, Notion AI) untuk administrasi, serta AI Multimodal (Gemini AI, Canva AI, Suno AI) untuk pembuatan RPP, ilustrasi kelas, dan musik edukatif. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) yang terdiri dari tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan hands-on, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan lonjakan rata-rata pemahaman peserta dari 35% pada tahap pre-test menjadi 88% pada tahap post-test. Seluruh peserta berhasil menghemat 50% waktu penyusunan administrasi dan menghasilkan minimal satu produk media pembelajaran interaktif secara mandiri. Pemanfaatan AI terbukti mereduksi kebosanan belajar siswa dan sangat membantu guru berinovasi.    The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has brought massive transformation in various sectors, including education. Teachers are required to adapt to digital tools to create interactive learning environments for Generation Z and Alpha students. This Community Service (PkM) aims to provide a solution to the limited digital literacy of teachers at SD Brainfor Islamic School through intensive training on Generative AI. The focus includes the use of Text AI (ChatGPT, Notion AI) for administration, and Multimodal AI (Gemini AI, Canva AI, Suno AI) for creating lesson plans, class illustrations, and educational music. The implementation method uses the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) approach consisting of socialization, hands-on training, and evaluation stages. The results showed a surge in participants' average understanding from 35% in the pre-test to 88% in the post-test. All participants successfully saved 50% of their administration time and independently produced at least one interactive learning media product. The use of AI is proven to reduce student boredom and greatly helps teachers innovate.

Abstract

Publikasi artikel jurnal ilmiah melalui OJS merupakan proses publikasi jurnal ilmiah yang dilakukan secara online, mulai dari submit artikel sampai dengan publish jurnal ilmiah. Seluruh proses publikasi dilakukan melalui web jurnal ilmiah (OJS) dengan menggunakan browser internet (lnternet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, dan sejenisnya). Salah satu artikel dapat berupa jurnal. Sesuai dengan peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi (permenpanrb) No 16 Tahun 2009 Tanggal 10 November 2009, maka mulai tahun 2011 bagi Guru yang akan mengusulkan kenaikan pangkatnya harus memenuhi beberapa kriteria antara lain adalah kredit point yang harus didapat dalam pengembangan diri dan karya tulis (artikel). Oleh karena itu untuk membantu guru dalam mengatasi hal diatas adalah diadakannya sebuah workshop tentang publikasi artkel. Diharapkan dengan diadakannya workshop publikasi jurnal ilmiah di SMAN 2 Singingi, guru bisa menentukan sendiri jurnal yang sesuai dengan artikel yang mereka punya. Kemudian harapannya lagi adalah guru bisa sendiri publish artikel yang mereka punya tanpa harus bergantung kepada orang lain. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat prodi pendidikan kimia akan membantu guru SMAN 2 Singingi untuk publish artikelnya dengan cara memperkenalkan jurnal yang ada di fakultas tarbiyah dan keguruaan yaitu jurnal dari prodi pendidikan kimia bernama Jurnal JEDCHEM (Journal Education and Chemistry) dan Jurnal Al-Hikmah (Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Agama Islam)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap capaian belajar siswa kelas XI MA NU 01 Limpung pada topik pencemaran lingkungan. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experiment tipe one group pretest-posttest. Melalui teknik purposive sampling, terpilih 31 peserta didik sebagai sampel penelitian. Instrumen pengumpulan data mencakup tes (pretest dan posttest) serta lembar observasi aktivitas belajar. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan kalkulasi N-gain. Hasil studi mengonfirmasi adanya kenaikan hasil belajar yang signifikan, dengan distribusi skor N-gain yang mayoritas menempati kategori sedang dan sebagian kecil pada kategori tinggi. Secara statistik, ditemukan perbedaan nyata antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi tersebut.

Abstract

The increasing number of fossil fuel-powered vessels in Indonesia poses serious challenges related to energy efficiency and exhaust emissions. This study aims to design and implement a hybrid propulsion ship speed control system based on the Neural Network (NN) method to improve fuel efficiency, speed stability, and system safety. The system was developed on a trimaran ship prototype that combines a Brussles Directional Current electric motor and an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). The Neural Network method is designed with a 5-8-3 architecture as an adaptive controller, processing actual speed and RPM inputs to generate real-time motor control signals. Tests were conducted statically and dynamically at five speed set points under current conditions of ±0.57 m/s and waves of 2–15 cm. The test results showed that the application of Neural Network control improved speed stability, with a deviation of <0.5 km/h at the low set point, and significantly reduced RPM fluctuations. Fuel efficiency also improved, especially at high speeds; the increase in consumption was only ±3.42 ml with control compared to ±43.6 ml without control. In addition, the system is equipped with overcurrent protection that effectively prevents component damage, as proven after initial trial incidents. Overall, the results of this study demonstrate that the integration of Neural Network methods into hybrid propulsion systems has great potential for the development of energy-efficient, stable, and environmentally friendly smart ships.
