Abstract

This research is motivated by the alignment between the learning objectives of Natural Sciences (IPA) and the Merdeka curriculum, one of which is to develop student creativity. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare an assessment instrument that can measure student creativity, including creative thinking skills. This research aims to determine whether the assessment instrument to measure creative thinking skills is feasible to use or not. In this research, the approach employed is Research and Development (R&D). The development research method follows the Borg and Gall model. The data collection method uses a questionnaire that is given to validators. The validation sheet is the instrument used. Content validity is the method used for data analysis. The test instrument's validity was high, with Aiken's V score of 0.82, surpassing the 0.800 threshold for high validity. This makes the instrument reliable for assessing students' creative thinking skills. It is suitable for use in elementary schools to evaluate higher-order thinking and creativity. The implications are that the instrument can be applied in elementary schools to assess student learning outcomes at the level of higher-order thinking skills, particularly related to creativity. Guildford's indicators—Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration, and Redefinition—offer a comprehensive creativity assessment. Fluency (3 questions) measures idea quantity. Flexibility (2 questions) assesses adaptability to different perspectives. Originality (5 questions) evaluates the uniqueness of ideas. Elaboration (3 questions) examines idea detail. Redefinition (2 questions) measures perspective shifts. All questions are valid, ensuring accurate and thorough creativity evaluation.

Abstract

The development of the world of education today requires graduates not only to master academic competencies but also to have an entrepreneurial spirit. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen SDG 4 (Quality Education) in order to create competent human resources in entrepreneurship. In this context, the concept of edupreneurship (a combination of education and entrepreneurship) is becoming increasingly relevant, especially for graduates of the Physics Education study program, who have so far been considered primarily oriented toward conventional academic or industrial careers. This study aims to describe the perspectives and factors resulting from the edupreneur course. The method used is a mixed-methods approach, which combines quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires distributed to physics education students. Data analysis used is EFA analysis and thematic qualitative description. The results obtained show that the edupreneur course provides three factors for students, namely AE (Entrepreneurial Action), PE (Entrepreneurial Education), and ME (Entrepreneurial Motivation). The results of student perspectives show that the edupreneurship course is essential to teach. It proves that edupreneurship courses can shape students' entrepreneurial spirit. That is because educational programs also require entrepreneurial skills, starting from idea development. The studies suggest that integrating edupreneurship across academic programs is crucial. By highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in education, this study recommends that edupreneurship courses be integrated evenly into all study curricula, enabling the realization of SDG 4. That is because the curriculum in Indonesia emphasizes not only academic skills but also entrepreneurial skills.

Abstract

Abstract

The low level of environmental awareness among the younger generation, particularly the understanding of the importance of clean and affordable energy, is a serious challenge to the desired efforts. This research aims to explore the understanding and motivation of high school students related to clean and affordable energy sources, in accordance with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The results of Rasch model analysis show that students' understanding of clean energy varies, with students in urban areas having better access to information compared to students in districts. There are differences in understanding based on gender, female students tend to have difficulty understanding energy problems than male students. Female students tend to be more motivated in clean energy and environmental issues, while male students have a stronger understanding of sustainable technology. Real projects and interactive materials that connect clean energy with daily life through physics learning motivate learners. These findings underscore the importance of inclusive and project-based education to increase student awareness and participation in supporting the achievement of the 2030 SDGs in sustainable physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the Cre-ASI instrument and its practicality and effectiveness when applied to PBL in improving creative thinking skills. The research design used the ADDIE model. The Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages were used. The results of the Cre-ASI (Creative Assessment with Solving Instrument) instrument, which aims to improve creative thinking skills, have met the validity criteria and, when applied in PBL, meet the practical and effective criteria. The results of the Cre-ASI instrument development obtained a validity percentage value of 96.1%, which is a very valid category. When applying the instrument in PBL, a N-Gain score of 0.68 was obtained, and an increase in student answers was observed between the pre-test and post-test. The findings from the development of Cre-ASI in the PBL model revealed a positive correlation between indicators of problem-solving skills and creative thinking skills; students with low problem-solving skills tend to have low creativity. The integration of PBL and Cre-ASI has been shown to encourage knowledge construction, thinking strategies, learning motivation, and the development of students' cognitive abilities. This confirms that physics learning is not only focused on mastering concepts, but also on developing creativity and problem-solving skills. In the future, utilizing sophisticated technology to produce more efficient products with alternative costs and improved time and material efficiency is crucial, as this will enable the results of this study to serve as both an innovation and a benchmark in the selection and development of innovative assessment instruments in physics learning.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of online learning in higher education has placed asynchronous discussion forums at the center of teaching and learning, particularly in open and distance learning contexts where student engagement and collaborative inquiry are crucial. In physics education, however, fostering deep conceptual understanding through asynchronous communication remains challenging, as participation often tends to be surface-level and tutor-centered. This study aimed to analyze participation patterns, levels of cognitive presence, and their relationship to student performance in a Solid-State Physics course at Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia. Employing a descriptive case study design, the research collected data from learning management system logs, forum transcripts, tutor feedback, and assignment scores. Cognitive presence was coded using the Community of Inquiry framework, intercoder reliability was established with Cohen’s kappa (κ = 0.88), and interaction structures were visualized using social network analysis. The results revealed that students frequently viewed the forums but contributed relatively few postings, indicating widespread passive participation. Most contributions were concentrated at the triggering and exploration phases, with only about 15% reaching integration or resolution. Interaction maps confirmed a strongly tutor-centered pattern, with minimal peer-to-peer exchanges, while comparison of participation and assignment data showed that more active contributors achieved higher performance. These findings underscore the limited depth of engagement in asynchronous forums but also highlight their potential to support learning when students participate meaningfully. The novelty of this study lies in its triangulated methodology and its focus on physics education in an open and distance learning context. The study contributes empirical evidence for improving asynchronous forum design and facilitation to foster higher-order engagement in physics learning.
