Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate research trends on Inquiry STEM topic in the context of physics education and conduct a bibliometric analysis to understand the development of research in this domain. Data were collected from the Scopus database using keywords relevant to Inquiry STEM and physics. The approach used in the analysis was the bibliometric method by utilising the Scopus database and VOSviewer, which resulted in 62 relevant documents. The results showed that the use of Inquiry STEM in physics education has become an increasingly popular topic over the past ten years, despite fluctuations in publication rates. This indicates potential challenges that need to be further explored in the future. Further research of Inquiry STEM in physics education could be helpful in improving students' critical thinking skills and motivation, given the evidence that this instructional model has demonstrated effectiveness in improving students' problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and motivation. However, it's worth noting that this research has limitations due to its sole reliance on one database, namely Scopus, for data collection. Therefore, it is advisable for future research on Inquiry STEM in physics education to incorporate the utilization of other databases besides Scopus to ensure a broader range of data is considered.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor physics in class X SMA Negeri 1 Magetan by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. This study used the classroom action research (PTK) method which was carried out in collaboration between researchers, tutor teachers, and field assistant lecturers. Research procedures carried out in 2 cycles each in 4 stages, namely: Planning (Planning), Action (Action), Observation (Observation), and Reflection (Reflection). The results of this study are that the use of the PjBL learning model on the subject matter of work and energy can improve the learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor physics for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Magetan. Cycle I had an average pretest score of 65.2 and an average posttest of 86.3, increasing in cycle II the highest posttest score achieved, namely an average pretest of 67.3 and an average posttest of 88.5. While the difference between the posttest and pretest average scores in cycle I was 21.1 points and cycle II was 21.2 points. This shows that there is an increase in physics learning outcomes from the three cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of students from cycle I to cycle II. Abstract

Not all school active in follow race because lack of understanding and motivation. Based on the problem that needs to be done to increase motivation and understanding partner. The study objective is to increase the understanding and motivation of partners. To follow race until the national level. The method used is to give test understanding, and subsequent questionnaires will analyzed to see the extent of influence PKM has implemented. The location of PKM activities is at MTs YKUI Maskumambang Gresik Regency. Based on data analysis, a percentage of 98.00% can be obtained to increase understanding, 95.33% can motivate partners, and 90% agree that the PKM program is implemented very useful.

Abstract

Objective: The study aims to determine the profile of students' critical thinking skills using E-Instruments. In this study, the profile of students' critical thinking skills, as assessed with conventional tests and E-instruments, is also compared. Method: The analysis of critical thinking skills profiles was conducted using quantitative methods. The study was conducted at a high school in East Java, Indonesia, that had used the independent curriculum. The population of this study was sampled purposively, comprising 65 students. Results: The profile of students' critical thinking skills in physics material is still relatively low. Based on the Wilcoxon test, the findings indicate that there is no significant difference between the test results obtained from conventional tests and those from E-instruments. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in the application of E-instruments as a substitute for conventional instruments in measuring students' critical thinking skills. Its manifestation is in the implementation of point 4 of the SDGs, which aims to improve the quality of education in the field of digital technology. On the other hand, the level of students' critical thinking skills is determined by the difficulty of the material and the skill indicators that are drilled. In the future, comprehensive learning devices and models can be developed as alternatives to enhance students' skills, particularly in the use of digital technology, including media, devices, and assessment instruments, thereby increasing students' enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

The development of 21st-century learning demands all aspects of development with the integration of technology and innovation so it becomes a challenge in the world of education. In addition to innovative technology, the challenge in education is to improve students' critical thinking skills (CTS). The purpose of this study is to analyze students' CTS through physics learning based on geometric wave phenomena. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are obtained from observation results, critical thinking test instruments, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using EFA (exploratory factor analysis) include the eigenvalue factor and alpha Cronbach (MPF and BAPF). Based on the results of the CTS questionnaire, 75 students have low CTS with EFA results on Eigenvalue obtaining values from two factors of 0.507 and 0.907, then the Cronbach alpha value on two factors (MPF and BAPF) is 0.825 and 0.443. The results show that the level of CTS is included in the low category with a score of 13.75%. One of the factors that results in low skill scores is the lack of facilities in the form of interactive LKPD teaching materials

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di SMAN 2 Mojokerto diketahui bahwa sekolah tersebut sebagian besar masih menggunakan latihan soal berupa kata-kata. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencoba menerapkan suatu latihan soal bergambar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan latihan soal bergambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan benda tegar, terutama pada ranah kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain “Control group pre test-post test design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Mojokerto. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas satu kelas eksperimen (XI IPA 4) dan satu kelas kontrol (XI IPA 1). Data yang diperoleh adalah hasil pre test dan post test. Selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis dengan statistik yang terdiri atas uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil pre test dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, didapatkan semua kelas terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan analisis uji t dua pihak diperoleh rata-rata nilai post test kelas eksperimen berbeda dengan rata-rata nilai post test kelas kontrol, karena thitung > ttabel. Dari hasil analisis uji t satu pihak diperoleh rata-rata nilai post test kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada rata-rata nilai post test kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan latihan soal bergambar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA pada materi kesetimbangan benda tegar di SMAN 2 Mojokerto.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pengelolaan pembelajaran model pembelajaran problem posing tipe within solution posing pada kegiatan belajar mengajar dan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem posing tipe within solution posing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi fluida statis. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah true experimental design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Bangkalan yang berjumlah lima kelas. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas eksperimen (XI-IPA 5) dan satu kelas kontrol (XI IPA 3). Hasil pretest dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, didapatkan semua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t dua pihak terhadap nilai post-test didapatkan thitung kelas XI IPA 5 sebesar 4,28 dengan ttabel sebesar 2,00.Hal ini menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen berbeda dengan kelas kontrol karena thitung tidak berada pada -ttabel < thitung < ttabel. Nilai thitung pada uji-t satu pihak kelas XI IPA 5 sama dengan thitung pada uji-t dua pihak dengan ttabel sebesar 1,67. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol karena thitung > ttabel. Dapat disimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem posing tipe within solution posing memberikan hasil yang baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan fluida statis di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Bangkalan.

Abstract

Usaha untuk menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar merupakan pekerjaan yang sangat penting yang harus dilakukan saat ini dan masa depan, salah satu diantaranya adalah dengan menggunakan Brown Gas. Di sisi lain, penggunaan Brown Gas pada kendaraan sebagai bahan bakar belum optimal, hanya menggunakan elektrolisis sederhana, memperpendek usia aki, energi listrik sisa pengisian masih terbuang, elektrolisis belum memanfaatkan sistem HTES, hasil gas hidrogen belum maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data kadar emisi gas buang dan konsumsi bahan bakar sepeda motor berbahan bakar bensin dan dengan menggunakan WGES. Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua pengujian, yaitu pengujian standar dan pengujian eksperimen dengan menggunakan WGES. Data yang telah diperoleh dimasukkan ke dalam tabel dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik yang kemudian akan dianalisis dan ditarik kesimpulannya, sehingga dapat diketahui perbandingan antara penggunaan WGES dengan standar. Dari data perbandingannya maka dapat diketahui persentase konsumsi bahan bakar dan kadar emisi gas buang pada Honda GL MAX 124,1 cc yang masih standart dan menggunakan WGES. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan WGES dapat menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar dan meningkatkan kualitas emisi gas buang. Penurunan konsumsi bahan tertinggi sebesar 62% didapatkan pada putaran 6000 rpm. Selain itu juga terjadi peningkatan kualitas emisi gas buang dengan menurunnya kadar emisi CO, HC, dan meningkatnya kadar CO2. Penurunan emisi kadar CO tertinggi yang sebelumnya 9,22% vol pada pengujian standart menjadi 3.92% vol dengan menggunakan WGES pada putaran 6000 rpm, penurunan kadar HC tertinggi yang sebelumnya 2728,33 ppm pada pengujian standart menjadi 178,00 ppm pada pengujian WGES, kenaikan kadar CO2 tertinggi yang sebelumnya 5,33% vol pada pengujian standart menjadi 8,57 % vol pada pengujian WGES. Siswa di kelas 2 mesin otomotif SMK NEGERI 2 PURWOSARI BOJONEGORO mempunyai respons yang sangat kuat sekali sebesar 94%.

Abstract

Since the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, the world of education in Indonesia has faced difficult situation. Namely, it is mandatory to carry out online learning to reduce the impact of the spread of the Covid-19 virus. However, with the implementation of online learning, there is a decrease in student learning motivation so that an alternative is needed to generate student learning motivation, by using a virtual laboratory as a supporting medium. This research uses quantitative research with an accidental sampling method, with a population of science highschool from XI and XII grade students who are conducting online learning. The data analysis method uses non-parametric Mann-Whitney U statistics and measures student learning outcomes in Hooke's Law with a virtual laboratory. The results showed that by using a virtual laboratory students' learning motivation increased from online learning in general, because the p-value is 0.000 which p < 0.05 means there is a significance changes. Students wih higher learning motivation score better than students with lower motivation . With the average score in a row from medium, high, and very high motivation is 39.29; 43.70; 44.00 from the maximum score 100.

Abstract

Objective:  This study aims to produce WEB-Let's Learn Online to train the competency of installation and configuration of network devices of SMK students that are feasible (valid, practical, and effective). Method: This study is a type of development research employing the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques included validation, questionnaires, observations, and tests, involving 66 students from an SMK in Surabaya. The validity of the module was assessed based on learning, material, language, and media aspects. Practicality was evaluated through implementation processes and challenges encountered in project-based student competencies. Effectiveness was measured by the improvement in student competencies. The assessment of validity, learning implementation, and project-based competencies was based on average scores. The web-based learning media was considered feasible if the percentage across all eligibility criteria. Results: The results of the study showed 1) The average validity score of the web-based learning media was categorized as very valid; 2) The average learning implementation score was indicating a very practical category. The average he post-test score was categorized as good; 3) The average N-gain value was the moderate category, and the t-test confirmed a significant increase in student competency, indicating the media is effective. Novelty: This website-based platform allows students to learn anytime and anywhere, effectively enhancing their competencies and digital literacy in installing and configuring network devices .
