Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where the systolic blood pressure is > 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is > 90 mmHg. Hypertension is caused by the formation of Angiotensin II from Angiotensin I by Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE). Lisinopril is one of the drugs commonly used to treat hypertension; however, long-term use may be associated with carcinogenic effects. This study aims to find candidates for new medicinal ingredients from luteolin derivative compounds contained in corn silk (Zea mays L.) as antihypertensives that have the activity of inhibiting ACE enzymes. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations were employed in this study. The results showed that the TL59 compound exhibited lower predicted toxicity than lisinopril. Based on molecular dynamics analysis, TL59 demonstrated an RMSD value of 1 Å and a ΔGTOTAL of –44.65 kcal/mol, whereas lisinopril showed an RMSD value of 1.3 Å and a ΔGTOTAL of –29.25 kcal/mol. These findings suggest TL59 has a higher binding affinity and greater stability toward the 1O86 receptor than lisinopril. Therefore, TL59 is predicted to be a promising candidate for a new antihypertensive drug that inhibits the conversion of Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II. In conclusion, TL59 demonstrates strong binding affinity and pharmacokinetic properties, indicating its potential as a promising antihypertensive candidate. However, this study is limited to in silico analysis and requires further in vitro and in vivo validation to confirm its efficacy and safety.

Abstract

Boarding  School  is  the  oldest  Islamic  institution  in  Indonesia  which  has  a  very important role in the spread and consolidation of public adherence to Islam. But since when actually boarding school began to stand, is not known for certain, but researchers have found that  in  the  16th  century  boarding  school  institutions  has  grown.  Among  the  researchers  are also  differences  of  opinion  about  the  origins  of  the  term  and  the  Pondok  Pesantren,  some argue  comes  from  within  and  in  part  argues  from  the  outside.  The  cottage-boarding  school originally  taught  about  fiqh,  tafsir,  tasawwuf  and  the  classics  as  a  feature  of  Pesantren traditional,  then  with  the  rise  of  reformism  as  the  influence  of  scientific  and  technological advances, the boarding school was also affected reformism, and this is a positive development the boarding school itself. But although affected reformism boarding school, boarding school never  taught  radicalism  /  extremism,  because  schools  are  actually  contrary  to  Islamic teachings and ways of proselytizing Islam.

Abstract

Raden Intan Lampung State Islamic University (UIN RIL) as a State Islamic Religious College in Indonesia needs to gradually carry out various efforts to improve the quality of continuing education. The long-term quality of UIN RIL does not only cover national level competition, but also internationally. This study aims to examine the quality improvement process that has had a development and readiness plan for AUN-QA for the Academic Community of UIN RIL. Data collected is qualitative data. In accordance with the research design in order to find an overview of the planned development of UIN RIL and its readiness towards AUN-QA. The data sources in this study were taken from strategic planning documents and the opinions of the academics. Techniques for collecting data through documentation studies, deep interview, and participant observation. Non-structured interviews, so that data sources actively construct the cognitive world, and researchers try to capture the realm of that meaning. Analysis of data is collected simultaneously while collecting data with the principle of verstehen. The results of the study concluded that since the form changed from IAIN to UIN RIL development plans were discussed which were discussed in several stages and involved various stakeholders directed to the campus as an international reference. This can be seen in the vision, mission and objectives of UIN RIL. Likewise in priority programs and target targets there are points towards international scale achievements. The academics have welcomed with joy the change in form of IAIN to UIN RIL. All have stated that this is an opportunity to further develop the campus to reach international competition. Thoughts and energy were mobilized to develop UIN RIL towards becoming superior and competitive.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sabun adalah senyawa kimia yang terdiri dari natrium atau kalium dengan asam lemak. Masyarakat belum mengetahui bahwa sabun bisa menciptakan peluang usaha. kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan tentang pembuatan sabun cuci piring dan pakaian untuk mengurangi pengeluaran masyarakat terhadap pembelian sabun sekaligus untuk menciptakan peluang usaha baru. Penyuluhan dan demonstrasi ini bertempat di balai Desa Sindangasih yang berada di Kecamatan Cikatomas Kabupaten Tasikmalaya Jawa Barat. Tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu penyuluhan, demonstrasi, evaluasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK sebanyak 23 orang. Dari hasil analisis data dibantu menggunakan software SPSS dengan metode Paired Sample T-Test menghasilkan adanya diferensiasi yang signikan diantara pre-test juga post-test yang artinya telah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan sabun cuci piring dan pakaian dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) setinggi 0,000 < 0,05.Abstract: Soap is a chemical compound consisting of sodium or potassium with fatty acids. People don't yet know that soap can create business opportunities. This activity aims to provide knowledge and training about making dish and clothes washing soap to reduce people's spending on purchasing soap as well as to create new business opportunities. This counseling took place at the Sindangasih Village Hall in Cikatomas District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java. The stages carried out are counseling, demonstration, evaluation. The partners in this activity were 23 PKK women. From the results of data analysis assisted using SPSS software with the Paired Sample T-Test method, it resulted in significant differentiation between the pre-test and post-test, which means there has been an increase in knowledge about making dish and clothing washing soap with a Sig value. (2-tailed) as high as 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Tingkat pemahaman masyarakat tentang penggunaan obat yang tepat masih rendah, sehingga berisiko menyebabkan penyalahgunaan obat, medication error, dan pencemaran lingkungan akibat pembuangan obat yang tidak tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat melalui penyuluhan program DAGUSIBU (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan, dan Buang Obat dengan Benar). Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 19 April 2025 di Puskesmas Siliwangi, Kabupaten Garut, dengan melibatkan 46 peserta. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan berbasis partisipatif yang mencakup ceramah edukatif, distribusi leaflet, dan sesi tanya jawab. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup penggolongan obat, cara memperoleh obat secara legal, penggunaan obat sesuai aturan, penyimpanan yang benar, dan pembuangan obat yang aman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta serta peningkatan pemahaman mereka terhadap pengelolaan obat di rumah. Sesi tanya jawab memperlihatkan keaktifan peserta dan menjadi indikator keberhasilan penyampaian materi. Program DAGUSIBU terbukti relevan dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat dan mendukung upaya pencegahan penyalahgunaan obat. Edukasi semacam ini diharapkan dapat membentuk perilaku masyarakat yang lebih bijak, bertanggung jawab, dan rasional dalam penggunaan obat

Abstract

Berdasarkan data terbaru dari Global Cancer Statistics, kanker tetap menjadi tantangan kesehatan global yang signifikan, dengan sekitar 20 juta kasus baru dan 9,7 juta kematian yang dilaporkan pada tahun 2022. Kanker payudara, sebagai salah satu jenis kanker dengan prevalensi tertinggi, menekankan pentingnya pengembangan pendekatan diagnostik dan terapeutik yang inovatif. Radiofarmaka, khususnya yang menggunakan Iodium-131 (¹³¹I), telah menunjukkan potensi besar dalam diagnosis dan terapi kanker. Dalam penelitian ini, senyawa turunan thiourea yang dikenal memiliki potensi farmakologis terhadap kanker payudara, dievaluasi sebagai kandidat radiofarmaka teranostik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode in-silico untuk mengevaluasi senyawa turunan thiourea yang ditandai dengan ¹³¹I. Molecular docking dilakukan menggunakan AutoDockTools untuk menilai energi ikatan dan interaksi senyawa dengan reseptor HER2 (PDB ID: 3PP0). Senyawa dengan afinitas pengikatan terbaik kemudian dianalisis lebih lanjut menggunakan simulasi dinamika molekul dengan perangkat lunak Desmond untuk mengevaluasi kestabilannya selama 200 ns. Selain itu, profil farmakokinetik dan toksisitas senyawa diprediksi menggunakan platform pkCSM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senyawa ¹³¹I-(4-Decylbenzoyl)-3-methylthiourea merupakan kandidat paling potensial dengan nilai afinitas pengikatan (ΔG) sebesar -8,64 kkal/mol. Simulasi dinamika molekul menunjukkan bahwa senyawa ini stabil selama 200 ns. Selain itu, senyawa ini memiliki profil farmakokinetik yang baik dan tidak bersifat toksik, meskipun nilai LogP-nya sedikit melebihi batas yang ditetapkan dalam aturan Lipinski’s Rule of Five. Sebagai kesimpulan, senyawa ¹³¹I-(4-Decylbenzoyl)-3-methylthiourea menunjukkan potensi yang kuat sebagai kandidat radiofarmaka yang stabil dan efektif untuk pengobatan kanker payudara. Meskipun senyawa ini memenuhi sebagian besar kriteria kelayakan obat, validasi eksperimental lebih lanjut dan studi klinis diperlukan untuk memastikan efektivitas dan keamanannya. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan landasan yang menjanjikan bagi penelitian lanjutan dalam aplikasi radiofarmaka untuk pengobatan kanker.

Abstract

Virus Marburg (MARV) merupakan salah satu virus zoonosis dari keluarga Filoviridae dengan tingkat kematian hingga 88%. Pertumbuhan populasi global yang pesat meningkatkan risiko paparan penyakit akibat perubahan iklim dan ekologi. Untuk pencegahan, vaksin menjadi upaya terbaik. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang vaksin berbasis peptida dari protein VP35 dan mengevaluasi interaksinya dengan sistem imun (TLR3, MHC-I, dan MHC-II) berdasarkan parameter stabilitas interaksi molekuler seperti skor ikatan, nilai elektrostatik, dan desolvasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan immunoinformatics secara in silico, meliputi pemilihan protein target, prediksi antigenisitas, prediksi epitop T CD8+, prediksi epitop T CD4+, prediksi epitop B, konstruksi vaksin & visualisasi 3D, validasi struktur vaksin, analisis docking dan prediksi cakupan populasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa desain vaksin memiliki interaksi yang stabil terhadap TLR3, MHC-I (HLA-A*11:01), dan MHC-II (HLA-DR1), dengan nilai skor total berturut-turut sebesar –43,698, –42,192, dan –51,899, menunjukkan afinitas ikatan yang kuat secara in silico. Temuan ini mengindikasikan potensi desain vaksin berbasis epitop VP35 sebagai kandidat imunogenik terhadap MARV, meskipun perlu dioptimalkan lebih lanjut mengingat cakupan populasi yang masih terbatas.

Abstract

COVID-19 remains a major global health threat. In addition to implementing health protocols and consuming supplements, proactive prevention strategies are essential to limit the spread of the virus. One of the most promising approaches is the use of vaccines, particularly peptide-based vaccines, which are under active development. This study aimed to design a peptide vaccine derived from the SARS-CoV-2 papain-like protease (PLpro) and evaluate its interaction with key components of the human immune system, namely Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3), major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC-I), and class II (MHC-II). The research employed an immunoinformatics approach utilizing NetCTL, IEDB Tepitool, PEP-FOLD3, trRosetta, HDOCK, GalaxyRefine2, and other molecular modeling tools. The designed vaccine construct was visualized in 3D using trRosetta and validated through ERRAT2, achieving a 100% quality score, indicating excellent structural integrity. The docking simulations demonstrated stable interactions between the vaccine and the immune receptors, suggesting strong immunogenic potential. In conclusion, the in silico-designed peptide vaccine based on SARS-CoV-2 PLpro shows promise in triggering immune responses through stable binding with TLR3, MHC-I, and MHC-II, highlighting its potential as a candidate for further experimental validation in COVID-19 vaccine development.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Etlien Glikol (EG) dan Dietilen Glikol (DEG) merupakan senyawa organik yang dengan rumus kimia C2H6O2 dan C4H10O3 yang bersifat asam lemah dan berbentuk cairan bening, praktis tidak berbau, serta memiliki viskositas yang rendah dan cairan bersifat higroskopis dengan rasa manis. Per 5 Desember 2022 terdapat 324 kasus gagal ginjal akut yang tidak diketahui penyebab terjadinya. Gagal Ginjal akut progresif atipikal (GGAPA) yang diduga akibat intosikasi EG dan DEG. Tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat Indonesia mengenai kasus cemaran EG dan DEG merupakan satu hal yang penting untuk mencegah terjadinya peningkatan kasus. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman masyarakat mengenai toksisitas cemaran Etilen Glikol dan Dietilen Glikol pada sediaan sirup sebagai salah satu penyebab terjadinya Gagal Ginjal Akut pada Anak dan menyampaikan informasi beberapa sirup yang aman dan bahaya untuk dikonsumsi, serta meningkatkan kewaspadaan masyarakat terkait obat sirup yang sering diberikan kepada anak anak. Metode pengabdian ini masyarakat ini dapat diamati dalam penyampaian informasi dan penguatan masyarakat yang bijak dalam menggunakan obat sirup melalui tahapan Sosialisasi, Diskusi dan Evaluasi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa 50% masyarakat belum mendapatkan informasi melalui media cetak. Namun pengetahuan masyarakat tentang cemaran EG dan DEG pada sediaan sirup tergolong kurang. Dapat disimpulkan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak atau pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan masyarakat desa. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan diambil dari rata-rata soal yang dijawab oleh setiap responden dari 13,4 rata-rata soal yang dijawab, menjadi 20,6 rata-rata soal yang dijawab benar oleh responden yang hadir dalam penyuluhan, hal lain juga dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan jumlah sumber informasi yang diterima akibat dari adanya penyuluhan Kesehatan bagi responden dari 14 responden menjadi 19 responden. Kata Kunci: Etilen Glikol, Dietilen Glikol, Toksisitas, Gagal Ginjal Akut, Sediaan Sirup  ABSTRACT Etlien Glycol (EG) and Diethylene Glycol (DEG) are organic compounds with the chemical formula C2H6O2 and C4H10O3, respectively. which is weakly acidic and is a clear liquid, practically odorless, and has a low viscosity and hygroscopic liquid with a sweet taste. As of December 5, 2022, there were 324 cases of acute renal failure with no known cause. Atypical progressive acute renal failure (GGAPA) is thought to be due to EG and DEG intoxication. Public knowledge level Indonesia regarding EG and DEG contamination cases is important to prevent an increase in cases. This activity aims to measure the level of public understanding of the toxicity of Ethylene Glycol and Diethylene Glycol contamination in syrup preparations as one of the causes of Acute Kidney failure in Children and convey information on some syrups that are safe and dangerous for consumption and increase public awareness regarding syrup drugs that are often given to children. This community service method can be observed in the delivery of information and strengthening community who are wise in using syrup medicine through the stages of Socialization, Discussion and Evaluation. The results of this service show that 50% of the community has not received information through print media. However public knowledge about EG and DEG contamination in syrup preparations is classified as less. It can be concluded that this service activity has an impact or influence on the knowledge of the village community. on the knowledge of the village community. Abstract

The chemicals produced from thiourea are actively being studied as anticancer possibilities. In complexes with radionuclides like Iodine-131, the 1-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)-3-methyl thiourea is a promising ligand for theragnostic applications. This study aimed to label 1-(4-fluorobenzoyl-3-methylthiourea) with iodine-131 and observe its interaction with breast cancer receptors. The radiolabeling of 131I-(4-fluorobenzoyl-3-methylthiourea) uses the radioiodination method with Chloramine-T, and an in-silico investigation of breast cancer receptors was conducted. According to the results of molecular docking using AutoDockTools, this radiopharmaceutical molecule has the best activity on the HER2 receptor (PDB ID: 3PP0) compared to the native ligand and control positive, with a binding affinity of -6.13 kcal/mol and a Ki value of 32.05 mM. According to the molecular dynamics data using Desmond, the radiopharmaceutical molecule 131I-(4-Fluorobenzoyl-3-methylthiourea) displays good stability starting from the 50ns range. The indirect radioiodination method has successfully labeled 1-(4-Fluorobenzoyl-3-methylthiourea) with iodine-131.
