Abstract

Pancasila Education plays a vital role in shaping student character in line with national values. However, its implementation in schools often remains suboptimal and does not reflect the evolving characteristics and needs of today’s learners. This study investigates the necessity for innovative, technology-integrated teaching materials to enhance the effectiveness of Pancasila Education. This qualitative research employed a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, involving teachers and students as key participants. The findings reveal a strong need among teachers for innovative and student-centred teaching materials, particularly those that leverage digital technologies to make learning more relevant and engaging. Although many schools are equipped with adequate technological infrastructure, teachers often face challenges in designing and integrating technology-based instructional tools into Pancasila Education. These challenges stem primarily from a lack of training and limited access to appropriate digital teaching resources. To optimize Pancasila Education, it is essential to develop teaching materials aligned with both technological advancements and students' learning characteristics. Teacher capacity-building programs focusing on digital pedagogy and instructional design are recommended. These efforts will not only improve the learning experience but also ensure that Pancasila values are effectively internalized by students in a way that resonates with the digital era.

Abstract

The independent curriculum requires that each educational unit and teacher is able to develop learning tools in accordance with the characteristics of students and the conditions of each educational unit. However, this program has not been well understood by each educator spread across Indonesia. The lack of understanding of educators is related to how to develop learning tools. Learning tools teaching modules, teaching materials, learning media, LKPD, and assessment instruments become something unfamiliar to entities. Such conditions are also experienced by private elementary schools spread across the Pengasih District, Kulon Progo Regency. The purpose of this community service activity is to describe the improvement of the understanding of educators at SD Pengasih District, Kulon Progo Regency in developing innovative teaching modules. The method of implementing community service activities begins with workshops and socialization, continues with mentoring, implementation, reflection, and follow-up, and ends with the collection of reports and innovative teaching modules based on literacy, local culture, and natural resources for grades 1 to 6 of elementary school. The result of this service is that elementary school teachers in Pengasih District, Kulon Progo Regency have succeeded in creating innovative teaching modules that have been IPR-kan.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Kretek District, Bantul Regency, face various challenges in implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in Indonesian language learning, even though the Independent Curriculum emphasizes the importance of recognizing the diversity of individual student abilities. This community service activity aims to provide training to teachers on the TaRL concept and assist them in developing Indonesian language learning tools based on this approach. The activity was carried out through a series of stages, including workshops, mentoring, implementation, and evaluation involving elementary school teachers in Kretek District. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, questionnaires, and observations. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding of the concept and application of TaRL, as indicated by an increase in the average score from 62.3 in the pre-test to 84.7 in the post-test. In addition, the teachers successfully developed TaRL-based learning modules and media. Based on the results of the evaluation questionnaire, 86% of participants stated that the training was very useful, 78% felt more confident in implementing TaRL in the classroom, and 72% hoped for further mentoring. Thus, this training has proven effective in improving elementary school teachers' competency in understanding and implementing the TaRL approach in Indonesian language learning and providing practical solutions to differences in student ability in the classroom.

Abstract

The Indonesian School in Bangkok is a school based in Bangkok, adopting the Indonesian education system. Schools abroad established by Indonesia must adhere to the same educational system as Indonesia, from curriculum design to implementation. The Indonesian education system is inseparable from cultural inculcation. This also underpins curriculum development, emphasizing the importance of Indonesian culture in learning, ensuring that culture is preserved and not lost. Indonesia's rich cultural diversity impacts the norms inherent in students and their families, making it crucial. Therefore, Cultural Literacy Strengthening Training for Teachers at the Indonesian School in Bangkok is essential to enhance multicultural understanding in learning. This strengthening training aims to enhance teachers' understanding of the concept of cultural literacy and how to integrate it into learning. It also helps teachers integrate Indonesian, Thai, and global cultural values ​​into teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the problem-based learning model on students' science literacy in science lessons in class V, especially on heat materials and their transfer. This study focuses on the pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design research design. Data collection is carried out by providing tests consisting of pretest and posttest. Sampling technique through purposive sampling. The research sample amounted to 25 students. The data analysis technique was carried out by N­-Gain and T-paired sample t-test. Based on the calculation of the hypothesis test using the t-test, it indicates that there is a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest. This can be seen from the significance value (p) = 0.000 (p < 0.05) so that the H0 hypothesis is rejected. This illustrates that the implementation of the problem-based learning model has a positive influence on students' science literacy in science lessons. Furthermore, based on the average N-Gain value of 0.5241 located in the medium group, this result indicates that the implementation of problem-based learning model is effective in improving students' science literacy in science lessons. Thus, it is concluded that the problem-based learning model has positive influence on students' science literacy. This study will contribute to the development of effective learning strategies to optimize students' science literacy and provide recommendations for educators in the application of the problem-based learning model in elementary schools.

Abstract

To create contextual and culturally responsive science learning, integrating local knowledge into the curriculum has become increasingly important in ethnoscience.  This study aims to analyze ethnoscience studies in science learning in grade IV elementary school and identify ethnoscience aspects contained in the learning material. The research method used is a qualitative description, where the researcher acts as the main instrument by using additional instruments in the form of library study guides and documentation. Data collection techniques were carried out through library research with a qualitative data analysis approach which includes three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To test the validity of the data, a triangulation technique of reference sources that have a correlation with the topic under study was used, such as journals, articles, books, and other documents. The results of this study show that ethnoscience studies have been integrated in science learning in grade IV elementary schools, especially in certain themes. In theme 1, for example, ethnoscience studies are related to sound material and associated with cultural values through the introduction of traditional musical instruments, such as angklung, saluang, harp, drum, and tifa. Meanwhile, in theme 7 and theme 8, which discuss style and movement, cultural values are integrated through learning traditional dance movements, such as plate dance, candle dance, and padupa dance. These findings highlight the potential of ethnoscience to enrich science education by connecting scientific concepts with local cultural practices, fostering a deeper understanding of both the natural world and cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) produce a digital-based Edukids learning media suitable for improving the Indonesian vocabulary mastery of second grade elementary students in Enrekang Regency, (2) develop a practical learning media, and (3) determine its effectiveness in classroom use. The development process applied the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was created by integrating various multimedia objects text, images, animations, audio, videos, and interactive buttons designed to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. The trial was conducted in SD Negeri 33 Enrekang with 33 students as participants. Data collection involved interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires, while validation involved three media experts and three material experts. Media validation results achieved an average score of 91.6% (“Very Good”) and material validation 94.4% (“Very Good”). Practicality testing showed teacher responses of 93.3% and student responses of 90.6%, both categorized as “Very Good.” Effectiveness analysis indicated an improvement in average vocabulary mastery scores from 68.32 (pre-test) to 83.30 (post-test), with an N-gain score of 0.58, classified as “Moderate” improvement. These findings confirm that the Edukids learning media is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing Indonesian vocabulary mastery among second grade elementary students, and it holds potential for broader implementation in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the current conditions of numeracy literacy learning in elementary schools and analyze the needs for developing microlearning-based e-modules as an innovative solution to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The study was motivated by the fact that numeracy instruction in schools remains dominated by traditional approaches, with limited integration of contextual digital media and minimal innovation in teaching practices. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, involving five elementary schools in the Moyudan District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. Participants consisted of five fifth-grade teachers and 83 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings revealed that while teachers recognize the importance of strengthening numeracy literacy as a 21st-century competence, they face various challenges, including limited time, insufficient digital pedagogical training, and the unavailability of relevant learning materials. The results highlight that the microlearning approach is pedagogically relevant because it provides concise, contextual, and interactive learning experiences that enhance students’ conceptual understanding and engagement. The study concludes that developing microlearning-based e-modules has significant potential to improve the quality of numeracy literacy learning in elementary schools, supporting a more adaptive, participatory, and technology-integrated learning environment.

Abstract

Studi kasus ini mengkaji korelasi diantara kepercayaan diri dan hubungan teman sebaya terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa sekolah dasar di wilayah Kecamatan Mandah, Provinsi Riau. Studi ini diarahkan untuk mengenali serta menganalisis secara simultan korelasi antara rasa percaya diri dan relasi antar teman sebaya dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional pada peserta didik. Studi tersebut menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional, pengambilan bagian dari populasi dilakukan secara purposif terhadap 210 siswa kelas V sebagai subjek penelitian. Kuesioner berskala Likert digunakan sebagai alat utama dalam pengumpulan data yang telah dimodifikasi untuk relevansi konteks, pendekatan korelasi yang mengukur hubungan linear antara variabel dengan menggunakan rumus Pearson untuk menganalisis data yang terkumpul, baik parsial maupun ganda. Sebanyak 64,8% siswa tergolong memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri yang dominan berdasarkan hasil distribusi data, kualitas interaksi dengan teman sebaya mencapai 68,1%, dan kecerdasan emosional sebesar 62,9%, yang seluruhnya berada pada karakteristik menengah atau sedang. Ditemukan koneksis yang bermakna secara positif antara variabel-variabel yang diteliti, berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,01), yang mengindikasikan bahwa kepercayaan diri dan interaksi sosial secara simultan memberikan kontribusi bermakna pada kecerdasan emosional siswa.Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan diri serta semakin bagus kualitas hubungan sosial peserta didik, maka semakin besar pula potensi peningkatan kecerdasan emosional yang mereka miliki. Hal ini memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengembangan program intervensi edukatif yang berfokus pada penguatan karakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Dampak dari penelitian ini dapat berfungsi sebagai pijakan untuk merancang model pembelajaran yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan emosional peserta didik. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi praktis, tetapi juga dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi untuk studi lanjutan yang menelusuri aspek lain dari kecerdasan emosional.

Abstract

Secara umum pendidikan di Sekolah dasar adalah pondasi penting untuk mengembangkan kemampuan baik dari segi kognitif, afektif, serta psikomotorik peserta didik. Pembelajaran IPAS yang monoton dan bersifat teori tanpa mengalami secara langsung akan membosankan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Sarsang Merauke, pada saat pembelajaran IPAS berlangsung, siswa terlihat duduk diam dan hanya menengarkan gurunya menjelaskan meateri dengan metode ceramah, setelah itu lalu diberi bahan catatan, diakhir pembelajaran, guru memberikan soal evaluasi, namun hanya 3 sdari 15 siswa yang mendapat nilai diatas KKM. Dan selama pembelajaran siswa terlihat kurang semangat. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis &McTaggart dengan 4 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini memliki tujuan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran sebagai meningkatakan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa baik secara individu maupun keseluruhan. Indikator tercapainya penelitian ini yaitu antara lain: siswa senang ditunjukan dari hasil angket yang mereka isi dan kumpulkan,terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran ditunjukan melalu tabel obserhasi, hasil belajar siswa 70 % diatas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 45,6, sedangkan pada postest siklus 1 nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 59,3 dan pada siklus 2 nilai rata-rata mencapai 71,0. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah diberi tindakan melalui pembelajaran menggunakan media power point siswa menunjukan peningkatan pemahaman pada materi yang diajarkan.
