Abstract

This study aims to examine the role and potential of Deep Learning (DL) approaches in the field of education through a literature review method. DL, as a branch of artificial intelligence, is increasingly applied across various educational domains, including personalized learning, educational data analysis, and the development of intelligent teaching systems. This review analyzes more than 20 scholarly articles published in the past decade to identify DL’s contributions to the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. The findings indicate that DL enhances the accuracy of student performance predictions, supports adaptive learning, and strengthens natural language processing in educational contexts. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, low technological literacy among educators, and ethical issues like data privacy remain major obstacles. The study concludes that DL approaches hold a strategic role in addressing future educational challenges, though their success largely depends on the wise and collaborative integration of technology.

Abstract

The transformation of learning in the digital era has brought significant changes to teaching methods and educational media across various levels of education. This article aims to review the literature on innovations in digital learning methods and media, identify the challenges faced, and explore opportunities for developing more effective and contextually relevant learning approaches. The method employed is a qualitative literature review with content analysis of 30 scholarly sources systematically selected from reputable databases. The findings indicate that digital learning innovations such as blended learning, flipped classrooms, and the use of interactive media positively contribute to student engagement and learning outcomes. However, the implementation of these transformations still faces obstacles, including limited teacher competencies, unequal infrastructure, and a lack of systematic policy support. This study emphasizes that the digital transformation of learning must be accompanied by a shift in pedagogical paradigms and institutional support to ensure that technology is meaningfully optimized. Accordingly, this research provides a scientific foundation for developing inclusive and sustainable digital learning strategies for the future.

Abstract

Pembelajaran hibrida telah menjadi model pendidikan terkemuka di Indonesia, menggabungkan pengajaran tradisional dan digital. Meskipun pendekatan ini menawarkan fleksibilitas, pendekatan ini menimbulkan tantangan psikologis yang unik bagi siswa, seperti kecemasan, kurangnya motivasi, dan kesulitan dengan kemampuan beradaptasi dan interaksi sosial. Studi ini menyelidiki persepsi guru tentang tantangan psikologis ini, menarik data dari 250 responden menggunakan skala Likert (1-5). Pemodelan Persamaan Struktural - Kuadrat Terkecil Parsial (SEM-PLS) 3 digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan antar konstruk. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan berdampak negatif pada keterlibatan, sementara motivasi dan kemampuan beradaptasi memainkan peran penting dalam mengurangi tantangan ini dan mendorong hasil belajar yang positif. Interaksi sosial ditemukan secara signifikan meningkatkan kesejahteraan siswa. Temuan ini menyoroti peran penting wawasan guru dalam mengatasi hambatan psikologis dan meningkatkan pengalaman belajar hibrida. Studi ini menyumbangkan perspektif yang berharga untuk kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan, terutama dalam konteks di mana model pembelajaran hibrida semakin diadopsi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating interactive digital media into problem-based learning (Problem-Based Learning/PBL) to enhance the critical thinking skills of middle school students. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of the study are 60 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung, divided into experimental and control groups. The instruments used include critical thinking skills tests based on Ennis’ indicators, as well as observation sheets for learning activity engagement. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, as well as N-Gain and Cohen’s d calculations. The results indicate a significant increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group, with a p-value of 0.000 in the independent t-test. The average N-Gain for the experimental group was 50.88% (moderate category), while the control group only achieved 3.48% (low category). The effect size calculated using Cohen’s d reached 3.08, indicating a very large treatment effect. These findings reinforce that integrating interactive digital media into problem-based learning can effectively improve students’ critical thinking skills. The results also support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes strengthening the Pancasila student profile, especially in the dimensions of critical and reflective thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of project-based learning (PjBL) implementation in STEM education through a literature review at various levels of education in Indonesia. The method used is a systematic literature review of scientific articles, both national and international. The results of the study indicate that the integration of PjBL-STEM consistently improves learning outcomes, science literacy, and 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. The main supporting factors for successful implementation include institutional support, teacher competence, student motivation, and adequate learning facilities. Meanwhile, the obstacles encountered include limited facilities, lack of teacher training, and challenges in integrating STEM across disciplines. Overall, the implementation of PjBL-STEM is highly recommended as an innovative learning strategy that is relevant to prepare students to face global challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

The research was aimed at understanding how the perception of usefulness, trust, and digital capability affects the level of technology adoption in the learning process in educational institutions. The research utilized a quantitative survey method with 150 purposively selected respondents. The respondents were teachers from five big cities in Indonesia who have been using digital technology in their teaching activities for at least one year. Multiple linear regression was used for data analysis, following the performance of normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity tests to confirm the feasibility. The findings indicate that the three variables of perceived usefulness, trust, and digital capability not only individually but also as a whole are a major determinant of technology adoption in learning. These findings add to the existing technology acceptance literature in education and have also the potential to be an issue for the school administrators in facilitating the use of technology to the fullest extent. One way of doing this can be through the promotion of technology benefits, the building of trust in the digital systems, and the provision of digital capacity to the teachers and the learners so that technology-assisted learning becomes more efficient and can easily continue.

Abstract

This quantitative study examined the implementation of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesian educational settings, focusing on teachers' pedagogical readiness and its impact on student learning autonomy. A cross-sectional survey design involving 384 teachers from various educational institutions across Indonesia was employed. Data were collected using validated instruments measuring AI-TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) competency and student learning autonomy. Results revealed that teachers demonstrated moderate levels of AI integration readiness (M = 3.29, SD = 0.95), with significant variations based on teaching experience and geographic location. Multiple regression analysis indicated that AI-TPACK integration was the strongest predictor of student learning autonomy (β = 0.425, p < 0.001), explaining 61.2% of the variance. Key challenges included infrastructure limitations (75.3%), lack of training (69.5%), and limited technical support (63.8%). The study concludes that successful AI implementation requires comprehensive teacher development programs, improved digital infrastructure, and systematic institutional support. Findings contribute to understanding AI integration dynamics in developing educational contexts and provide evidence for policy development in Indonesian education transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Penggunaan AR menawarkan pendekatan interaktif dan imersif yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep abstrak dengan lebih jelas, meningkatkan minat belajar, serta mendorong keterampilan kritis dan kolaboratif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan melibatkan siswa sekolah menengah atas dalam mata pelajaran sains dan teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan AR pada materi pelajaran sains meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap topik yang kompleks serta meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, AR juga membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi dengan cara yang lebih menarik dan efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa AR berpotensi menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pendidikan STEM, yang tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran tetapi juga mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja berbasis teknologi. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut mencakup integrasi AR dalam kurikulum dan pelatihan bagi guru agar lebih efektif dalam memanfaatkan teknologi ini di kelas.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought fundamental changes to the global education system, including redefining the role of teachers in the classroom. This study aims to comprehensively examine how the role of teachers has transformed in the digital era using a literature review approach. The analysis was conducted on various scientific publications from accredited national and international journals in the period 2021–2025. The results of the study show that teachers no longer only act as transmitters of knowledge, but also as facilitators, mentors, innovators, and managers of digital learning environments. This role requires mastery of digital literacy, digital pedagogical skills, and adaptive readiness to dynamic technological changes. On the other hand, challenges such as limited infrastructure, digital access gaps, and low professional readiness are major issues that need to be addressed. This study recommends the need for education policies that support ongoing training and strengthening of teacher capacity so that they are able to play an optimal role in supporting 21st century learning. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of digital education policies and strategies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pelatihan metode pembelajaran kreatif berbasis teknologi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran telah terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa melalui metode yang interaktif dan inovatif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test pada dua kelompok siswa, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan pelatihan berbasis teknologi dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Data motivasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik untuk menentukan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran kreatif berbasis teknologi memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa. Siswa pada kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif, antusias, dan memiliki ketertarikan yang lebih tinggi terhadap materi pelajaran dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan pelatihan serupa di sekolah-sekolah dasar guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik bagi siswa.
