Abstract

This study aims to analyze and classify the utterances that contain the principle of levity and the violation of the maxims of politeness in the dakwah content of the Youtube channel of the Lost Youth. The qualitative research method used is the technique of listening, recording, and free listening (SBLC). This research describes the speech that raises the principle of joking through the violation of the maxims of politeness in oral pragmatics studies. The data is taken from the lost youth content from April 2021 to May 2021. The data selection criteria include all utterances in that period and are classified based on violations of politeness maxims that produce the principle of levity. The results showed 69 data on violations of the maxims of politeness, all of which resulted in the principle of levity, with details of 3 violations of the maxim of wisdom, 2 violations of the maxim of generosity, 52 violations of the maxim of respect, 6 violations of the maxim of simplicity, 4 violations of the maxim of agreement, and 2 violations of the maxim of sympathy. The Lost Youth YouTube channel uses jokes in various forms such as analogies, comparisons, and hyperbole to attract the audience's attention, make the da'wah message more interesting, and create a relaxed atmosphere. In conclusion, the violation of the maxims of politeness containing jokes in the lost youth's da'wah content is not only acceptable to the audience, but also effective in conveying religious messages.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the critical thinking abilities of pre-service English teachers in the context of phonological acquisition. The present study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, which included a sample of 25 pre-service English teachers in the sixth semester at the Teachers Training Faculty in Serang, Banten. The research employed a critical thinking skill assessment instrument with essay question formats, which aligned with Ennis' five indications of critical thinking skills. The findings indicated that the critical thinking abilities of pre-service English teachers were classified as low to moderate across the five parameters. There is a need for enhancement in the realm of lecture activities in order to foster the development of critical thinking abilities among pre-service English teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine strategies for developing android-based teaching materials for text-based Indonesian language learning as an implementation of the independent curriculum in junior high schools. Based on the achievements of learning Indonesian in the independent curriculum, the various texts studied constitute a line of thought that can optimize the use of language for work and lifelong learning. This research method is literature study, namely the method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. Therefore, the research data is in the form of data that is relevant to the topic. The data comes from books and research articles that have been published in national and international journals. The strategy in developing android-based teaching materials for text-based Indonesian learning can be carried out by applying the ADDIE development model to produce teaching material prototypes in the form of applications that contain multimedia content by combining several learning media such as text, audio, graphics, images, and video to improve the quality of learning Indonesian and increase student learning independence.

Abstract

A language certainly has a relationship with other languages, even though they are related, there will definitely be differences in vocabulary, grammar, and so on. The aim of this research is to determine the percentage of kinship and separation time between Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese from their parent languages. This research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods with lexicostatistical methods. The data source comes from informants who are native speakers of Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese using 200 Swadesh vocabulary. Collecting data using basic listening techniques, skillful listening, recording and note-taking techniques. The results show that Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese are at the same language level as seen from the percentage obtained, namely 83%, so both are included in dialects. This kinship can be seen from the similarity of 130 identical vocabularies and 36 sound correspondences. These two languages separated 347—428 or around 1,676 to 1,595 years ago starting from the time this research was conducted, namely in 2023.

Abstract

Ditemukan problematika yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini dari siswa karena dalam menulis cerpen kurang pengetahuan yang memadai, imajinasi yang kreatif, penguasaan diksi, penyelarasan penggunaan bahasa yang tepat, bahkan harus memahami karakteristik pembaca agar memudahkan pembaca masuk dalam cerita penulis. Hal lainnya seperti guru yang kurang menguasai model, metode, media, strategi hingga kompetensi guru dan mengajar yang kurang, ada pula seperti fasilitas yang kurang memadai dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran menulis cerpen seperti teknologi media pembelajaran, sumber literatur, dan peluang mengembangkan keterampilan menulis sastra. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mendeskripsikan fasilitas pembelajaran di sekolah, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, kompetensi guru, kompetensi guru mengajar, kompetensi siswa, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Menulis cerpen membutuhkan pemahaman materi, kreativitas, imajinasi, penguasaan diksi, penyusunan bahasa tulis yang digunakan, sampai pada tahap adanya nilai estetika dan moral yang harus termuat di dalam teks cerpen. Hal tersebut yang menjadikan kesulitan bagi siswa untuk menulis cerpen dengan baik dan benar. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif bentuk deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, langkah menganalisis data yaitu reduksi data, tahap penyajian data, dan tahap penarikan kesimpulan. Ditemukan hasil fasilitas pembelajaran di sekolah yang rendah pada perangkat pembelajaran (35%), pelaksanaan pembelajaran kesiapannya hanya 50% untuk model, metode, media, kompetensi guru hanya cukup kompeten untuk profesional (50%), kompetensi guru mengajar dari perspektif siswa kurang kompeten untuk perangkat pembelajaran (50%), kompetensi siswa kurang kompeten pada elemen menulis (41%), dan motivasi belajar yang dibutuhkan siswa dengan hasil sangat setuju bila adanya harapan dan cita-cita siswa dari proses pembelajaran yang guru berikan (78%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan pemarkah pengacuan anafora pada cerpen Lukisan Perkawinan karya Hamsad Rangkuti. Data yang diambil yaitu satuan lingual berupa kalimat-kalimat dalam cerpen yang memiliki pemarkah pengacuan anafora. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode agih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga pemarkah pengacuan anafora pronomina, yakni persona, demonstratif, dan komparatif. Pronomina persona berupa: 1) pronomina pertama:  aku, -ku, ku-, saya, kami, kita; 2) pronomina kedua: kau, -mu, tuan; dan 3) pronomina ketiga: ia, dia, -nya, mereka. Pemarkah pronomina demonstratif berupa: 1) penunjuk umum: itu dan ini; 2) penunjuk tempat: di sana dan sana; dan 3) penunjuk ihwal: begitu. Pemarkah pengacuan anafora komparatif berupa perbandingan umum, yakni seperti. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Untuk itu, guru harus mampu membuat skenario pembelajaran untuk dilaksanakan di dalam kelas.Anaphora References in the Short Story Lukisan Perkawinan and Learning Scenarios in High SchoolThis research aims to describe the use of anaphoric reference markers in the short story Lukisan Pekawinan by Hamsad Rangkuti. The data taken are lingual units in the form of sentences in short stories which have anaphora reference markers. Data were analyzed using the agih method. The results of the research show that there are three markers of pronoun anaphora reference, namely personal, demonstrative and comparative. Personal pronouns are in the form of: 1) first pronoun: aku, -ku, ku-, saya, kami, kita; 2) second pronoun: kau, -mu, tuan; and 3) third pronoun: ia, dia, -nya, mereka. Demonstrative pronoun markers are: 1) general markers: itu and ini; 2) place markers: di sana and sana; and 3) pointer: begitu. The reference marker for comparative anaphora is in the form of a general comparison, namely seperti. The results of this research can be integrated into Indonesian language learning in high school. For this reason, teachers must be able to create learning scenarios to be implemented in the classroom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah kajian tentang alih wahana atau ekranisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk penyajian ekranisasi (alur, latar, tokoh) novel Mariposa karya Luluk HF ke dalam film Mariposa sutradara Fajar Bustomi, dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber penelitian ini adalah novel Mariposa karya Luluk HF dan film Mariposa sutradara Fajar Bustomi. Bentuk data pada penelitian ini adalah ekranisasi penciutan, penambahan, dan perubahan bervariasi berupa kutipan pada novel Mariposa karya Luluk HF dan film Mariposai sutradara Fajar Bustomi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca, dokumentasi, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk ekranisasi pada: a) Alur, terdapat 21 data penciutan, 6 data penambahan, dan 3 data perubahan bervariasi; b) Latar, terdapat 9 data penciutan, 2 data penambahan, dan 3 data perubahan bervariasi; dan c) Tokoh, terdapat 9 data penciutan, 4 data penambahan, dan 2 data perubahan bervariasi. Penelitian ekranisasi ini dapat diimplikasikan dalam pembelajaran sastra di SMA pada kompetensi dasar 3.9 Menganalisis isi dan kebahasaan novel, dan 4.9 Merancang novel dan novelet dengan memperhatikan isi dan kebahasaan baik secara lisan maupun tulis.

Abstract

Traditional sports games are increasingly being marginalized by the presence of modern games such as Play Station and online games. Online games are generally played statically, which causes children to become indifferent to the environment, thus affecting children's social interactions. The impact is that children develop into shy, solitary and individualistic individuals. Physical education is an important part of the education given to students at school. The expected goal is to help students acquire the skills and physical fitness needed to live a healthy and active life. By implementing the traditional game gobak sodor, it is hoped that students will easily participate in physical education learning which includes character education, and students' skills and activeness will be further developed so as to make learning centered on students. This journal was written based on a literature study to explain that traditional games can not only encourage students to engage in social interaction between friends, but in accordance with the title above, the character of students in physical education can also be formed through traditional games. For this reason, traditional games have a very important role in forming students' characters such as independence, creativity and working together, because this behavior has become an achievement in the world of education and preserving Indonesian culture. Abstract

AbstrakPeranan orang tua dalam motivasi pendidikan anaknya sangatlah penting, orang tua diharapkan berperan aktif dalam memberikan dukungan terhadap setiap proses pendidikan anaknya, apapun latar belakang sosial dan ekonominya. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa kondisi ekonomi sebuah keluarga yang memadai akan memudahkan mereka dalam memenuhi segala kebutuhan sekolah anaknya. Di sisi lain, kondisi ekonomi sebuah keluarga yang buruk akan membuat mereka kesulitan memenuhi kebutuhan sekolah anaknya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh kondisi ekonomi keluarga terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V dan VI SD N 2 Serang. Dari hasil penelitian yang kami lakukan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat ekonomi keluarga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V dan VI di SD N 2 Serang. Pemerintah juga mengambil peran penting dalam mengatasi permasalahan perekonomian di bidang pendidikan dengan memberikan berbagai bantuan pendidikan sehingga dapat membantu siswa yang memiliki semangat belajar dan tekad yang kuat untuk mencapai impiannya.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Orang Tua, Ekonomi, Motivasi

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of using Quizizz in the teaching and learning system at Teknologi Informatika YPML Vocational School. The research method used in this study is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design. The research sample consisted of 20 students from Teknologi Informatika YPML Vocational School. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The research instruments were analyzed using validity and reliability tests. Normality test, homogeneity test and Wilcoxon signed rank test were used for data analysis. The hypothesis test results showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The results showed that the use of Quizizz platform significantly affected the reading performance of grade 11 students at Teknologi Informatika YPML Vocational School.
