Abstract

Indonesia has a high potential for disasters, especially in coastal areas, so disaster awareness and preparedness need to be instilled early on. One effective way is through Augmented Reality (AR)-based education. This study analyzes the use of AR media as a source of science learning integrated with natural disaster mitigation. The method used is descriptive with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Participants consisted of 58 fifth grade students in South Sumatra. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, teacher interviews, and analysis of teaching materials. The results of the study indicate that the topics of earth relief, plate movement, and environmental factors can be integrated into disaster mitigation. Students showed interest in AR, teachers supported the use of AR in learning. In conclusion, AR has a positive impact on student understanding, engagement, and disaster preparedness, and has the potential to be an interactive learning medium. Theoretically, this study contributes to science learning by integrating natural disaster mitigation using AR, especially for abstract concepts. Practically, these findings support the development of AR-based learning media to improve natural disaster preparedness. The application of AR integrated with natural disaster mitigation is still rarely explored in previous studies, especially in science learning

Abstract

Sungai Pedada Village, Tulung Selapan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, is a water area that has a high potential for natural disasters such as floods, erosion, abrasion and other natural disasters. Challenging geographical conditions, limited access to electricity and transportation, and low awareness of the public, especially school children, on the importance of disaster mitigation are challenges in their efforts to improve the quality of education in Sungai Pedada schools. This community service activity aims to strengthen disaster preparedness through mitigation education for teachers and students. The implementation method includes the preparation stage, problem socialization, and training in the preparation of teaching materials. mentoring, evaluation, and reflection on activities. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in understanding and applying the concept of natural disaster mitigation in the school environment. The use of teaching materials has been proven to increase students' interest in learning and involvement in the learning process, while strengthening their understanding of disaster preparedness measures. This activity is expected to be a model for the implementation of technology-based disaster mitigation education in remote areas, as well as support the realization of disaster resilient schools in the waters of the Pedada River.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PJBL)model integrated with the TikTok application on student learning outcomes in thesubject of Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBDP) for Grade IV students at SD Negeri 6Suak Tapeh. The research was motivated by low student participation andachievement in SBDP learning, particularly in visual arts. The research methodused was quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach and a nonequivalentcontrol group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class(using PJBL with TikTok integration) and the control class (using conventionalmethods). Data were collected through pretests and posttests in the form of essayquestions. The analysis showed a significant difference between the posttestresults of the two classes, with an average posttest score of 86.11 in theexperimental class and 40.80 in the control class. The t-test results showed asignificance value of 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that the application of PJBL withTikTok had a significant impact on improving student learning outcomes. Thestudy concludes that the PJBL model based on TikTok is effective in optimizingSBDP learning by increasing active participation, creativity, and students'understanding of the material.

Abstract

This paper presents research on the development of learning media in the form of cards, aiming to create a set of cards learning media that can be tested for validity and practicality in learning. This research is a developmental study (Research and Development) utilising the Robert G. March model, specifically the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework, employing data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. Based on the research results, the quartet card learning media is declared valid and tested to be efficient by the three validators, with the results of 82% media expert validation, 86% material expert validation, and 82% language expert validation, with a very valid category. The practicality trial indicates the one-to-one trial with 84.5% with a very feasible category, the small group trial with 86.3% with a very feasible category, and the last practicality trial refers to the real class with an average of 85% with a very feasible category. Therefore, the quartet card media is very feasible to use.

Abstract

Technological advancements significantly impact the learning process, requiring teachers to develop interactive and engaging educational media. This study aims to create an animated video about the water cycle to enhance students' understanding and make learning more appealing. The research employed the ADDIE development model, which consisted of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Validation of the media and material was conducted using a Likert scale instrument through feedback from a teacher at SDN 226 Palembang. The assessment scaled from 2.0 (not feasible) to 3.5 (very feasible). The animated video received a media validation score of 3.6 and a material validation score of 3.7, both categorized as feasible for educational use. The findings indicate that the animated water cycle video is highly suitable for elementary school applications. It effectively supports teachers by visually presenting the water cycle process, enhances student comprehension, and contributes to a more dynamic and engaging learning environment.
