Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test how much financial literacy and financial attitudes contribute to interest in using SPinjam on the Shopee platform. The objects of this research were FEB students at Bandar Lampung University. Primary data was collected from students by distributing questionnaires to 76 respondents online using a Likert Scale. The accepted sampling method is a probability technique with an emphasis on simple random sampling. By analyzing the data using multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS Statistics 26, the results of the analysis show that financial literacy has a significant effect on interest in using SPinjam, as evidenced by the sig. 0.035 < 0.05. On the other hand, financial attitudes do not show a significant effect on interest in using SPinjam, seen from sig. 0.210 > 0.05. However, when financial literacy and financial attitudes are examined simultaneously, both have a significant impact on interest in using SPinjam, with sig. 0.003 < 0.05.

Abstract

The findings highlight several major challenges, including difficulties in understanding foreign accents, limited English vocabulary, pronunciation issues, and reliance on non-verbal communication. The noisy environment where vendors operate further complicates these communication barriers. These linguistic challenges lead to frequent misunderstandings, incorrect orders, and customer dissatisfaction, significantly affecting the vendors' business performance and customer relations. This research is rarely talked by researcher as in the previous study the researcher is focusing on semantic area but that’s quite too deep to learn by street vendors and an English beginner, this approach will contribute to the overall economic vitality of the Mandalika region, benefiting both vendors and the local community.

Abstract

Learning motivation is the impetus that arises from within individuals to learn. Learning motivation is one of the important factors that individuals must possess in their efforts to achieve good learning outcomes. One of the factors that influences learning motivation is usage. This study aims to determine the effect of smartphone usage intensity on high school students' learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative regression approach. The respondents in this study were 196 students of grade XI at SMA Negeri 2 Pinrang (n=196, 49 males and 147 females). The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The results of the study indicate that there is no significance between smartphone usage intensity and high school students' learning motivation (p: X to Y1 = 0.205. X to Y2 = 0.181. X to Y3 = 0.384), which means there is no influence between smartphone usage intensity and intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation motivation in students. In this case, smartphone usage intensity is not significant in the process of whether learning motivation emerges or not in students. The implications of this study show differences in results compared to previous studies that stated an influence between smartphone usage and students' learning motivation. This study is expected to serve as a basis for further researchers who investigate similar variables.
