Abstract

Relationship of Family Roles and Self-Control with Truant Student Behavior. This study is to determine the relationship between the role of family and self-control with truant behavior of students. The method used is quantitative, with a sample of 111 students in class X and XI. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling techniques and data analysis techniques, namely multiple regression. The test results of the data in this study obtained a p-value of 0.016 with a significance of 0.016 <0.05 indicating that there is a relationship between the role of family and self-control with truant behavior. Furthermore, the results obtained by the coefficient of determination of 0.271, which shows that the independent variable is the role of family and self-control has a relationship of 27% with truant behavior. From these results school counselors can provide guidance and counseling services in the private and social fields that can be applied either with classical services, group guidance or group counseling. And increase cooperation with the family to optimize the development of students.Keywords: Truant Behavior; Self Control; Family Role

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know empirically the effectiveness of classical sociodrama techniques to improve the adjustment of students ten class MIPA specialization program. The method of this research is experimental research, and use one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were taken using simple random sampling technique with threety six students. The instrument that used in this research is the scale of adjustment to the MIPA specialization program. Data analysis using analysis describtive. The results showed that this study was effective. From the results of this research, It means that the classical guidance of sociodrama techniques is effective to improve the adjustment of students ten class MIPA specialization program.

Abstract

This study discusses the correlation between coping stress and social support with academic stress in distance learning for 10th grade students of SMA Negeri in the District of Ngaliyan Semarang. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between variables and obtain information on the level of each variable with a sample of 255 students. The method in this research is ex-post facto quantitative. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the level of stress coping of the tenth graders of SMA Negeri in Ngaliyan Semarang District was in the low category (M=2.56), the level of social support was high (M=3.04), and the level of academic stress in distance learning was high (M=2,67). The results of multiple regression analysis show that there is a negative and significant relationship between coping stress and academic stress in distance learning students (t=-10,854, =-0.646, p=<0.05), social support has no significant correlation. significant with academic stress on distance learning students (t=-0.908, =-0.054, p=>0.05), and there is a positive and significant correlation between stress coping and social support simultaneously on academic stress in distance learning students (R= 0.681; R²= 0.464; F=109.083, p=<0.05). Based on the results of the research, , it is hoped that the guidance and counseling teachers can provide guidance and counseling services to be able to reduce students' academic stress levels both individually and in groups, increase students' stress coping levels and services to maintain students' social support levels.

Abstract

Abstract: Some Western counseling approaches are not applicable in local cultures. Consequently, counselors have to accommodate the local culture to improve the efficacy of their services. This research aims to formulate indigenous counseling based on the Javanese culture of Dasa Pitutur from Sunan Kalijaga. Using that culture, the counselors are expected to improve the participants’ cultural skills and respect for other cultures.  It used the hermeneutic method with discourse analysis to interpret the messages’ structure and pragmatic. The analysis result signifies that the Dasa Pitutur values are relevant with the other group orientation. The primary message taught in Dasa Pitutur is encouraging humans to comprehend their life journey and position to willingly and voluntarily accept their obligations and nature. Linear to their position as a social creature, they have to be aware of the essential values from their relationship, dependency, and appreciation toward other humans. This study can be an enrichment material of cultural values-based guidance and counseling science.Abstrak: Layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dipopulerkan dari Barat tidak semua sesuai dengan nilai-nilai lokal setempat. Oleh karena itu, konselor perlu mengakomodir nilai-nilai budaya setempat agar dapat menunjang keefektifan layanan yang diberikan. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk merumuskan konsep konseling indigenous berdasarkan kearifan lokal suku Jawa yang bersumber dari Dasa Pitutur karya Sunan Kalijaga sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan budaya individu untuk respek terhadap kelompok lain. Kajian ini menggunakan metode riset hermeneutika dengan varian analisis wacana untuk menafsirkan struktur pesan dan aneka fungsi (pragmatik) bahasa yang terkandung dalam teks Dasa Pitutur. Hasil pengkajian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Dasa Pitutur relevan dengan orientasi terhadap kelompok lain. Nilai utama yang diajarkan dari Dasa Pitutur adalah mengajak manusia memahami perjalanan hidup dan posisi manusia untuk dapat menerima tugas atau kodrat dengan suka rela atau mengemban tugas dengan hati yang lapang. Selaras dengan prinsip manusia sebagai makhluk sosial yang menekankan hubungan antara satu individu dengan individu lain, dimana setiap manusia hidup bersama orang lain dan saling membutuhkan serta menghargai satu sama lain. Kajian ini berkontribusi sebagai bahan pengayaan teori wawasan dalam bidang ilmu bimbingan dan konseling yang berbasis nilai-nilai budaya.

Abstract

Based on the preliminary study that has been conducted, verbal bullying among junior high school students still occurs frequently. Verbal bullying is often done, such as mocking other students' appearance, body shape, and speech style. This study aims to determine the relationship between empathy and peer conformity with verbal bullying of students at SMP Negeri Semarang City. This research method uses a quantitative correlational design, the sampling uses purposive and random sampling with a total of 243 respondents. The analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis with the help of the SPSS version 23 application. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, it shows that empathy and peer conformity jointly have a relationship with verbal bullying with a simultaneous F significance value of 0.000 (sig <0.05) and F count 19,740, and F table 3.03 (Fh> Ft). The contribution of empathy and peer conformity variables was 14.1% for verbal bullying, while 85.9% was influenced by other factors that were not explained in this study. Based on the results of research above guidance and counseling teacher is expected to provide group guidance services in the private and social field to reduce verbal bullying. The theme that may use is related to the prevention of verbal bullying.

Abstract

Postponement or procrastination among students is often caused by a low level of individual self-regulation and also by the conformity of others or the environment, which can encourage the creation of academic procrastination. This study aims to determine the correlation between peer conformity and self-regulation with academic procrastination in students while compiling a thesis in the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Semarang State University, both jointly and partially. This research was conducted using correlational quantitative research methods. The population of this study is students of the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Semarang State University, who are compiling a thesis, namely the Class of 2016, 2017, and 2018. The sample used was 127 students out of 195 students using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection tools used are the academic procrastination scale, the peer conformity scale, and the self-regulation scale. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is a double regression analysis technique with the help of SPSS applications. The findings revealed a positive relationship between peer conformity and academic procrastination, as well as a negative relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination. Then there is a significant relationship between peer conformity and self-regulation with academic procrastination. Between peer conformity and self-regulation together, they have an effective contribution of 60.6 percent to academic procrastination.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berlandaskan pada fakta di lapangan yang memperlihatkan bahwa sebagian siswa SMK di Kecamatan Gajahmungkur Kota Semarang belum mampu membuat perencanaan karier secara tepat dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan kariernya. Padahal siswa lulusan SMK dirancang untuk menjadi lulusan yang siap bekerja dan bersaing didunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan informasi tentang tingkat masing-masing variabel dan hubungan antar variabel. Jenis  penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif ex-post facto dengan desain korelasional. Hasil analisis deskriptif memperlihatkan tingkat kecerdasan emosional, dukungan sosial keluarga, dan kematangan karier siswa SMK berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kematangan karier, terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan kematangan karier, serta terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan sosial keluarga dengan kematangan karier.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai hubungan antara konsep diri dan optimisme dengan pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut pada siswa kelas IX SMP Se-Kecamatan Wonotunggal,Batang. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah memperoleh informasi mengenai tingkat masing-masing variabel serta bagaimana hubungan antar variabel. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif ex post facto dengan desain korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 126 siswa dari dua sekolah dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Proportioned Random Sampling.Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS Statistics versi 21. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan tingkat pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut pada kategori tinggi (M=3,95), tingkat konsep diri sedang (M=3,00), serta tingkat optimisme tinggi (M=3,82). Hasil analisis regresi ganda menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dengan pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut (t=2,173, ?=0,154, p=<0,05), terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan anatara optimisme dengan pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut (t=8,355, ?=0,591, p=<0,05), serta terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dan optimisme dengan pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut (R=0,633, R2=0,401, F=41,133, p=<0,05) yang mana secara simultan dapat memprediksi pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut sebesar 40,1%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diimplikasikan bagi pengembangan program bimbingan dan konseling melalui layanan karir di tingkat sekolah.

Abstract

Stres akademik adalah suatu kondisi yang dialami peserta didik karena banyaknya tuntutan akademik. Banyak faktor yang membuat seseorang mengalami stres akademik. Untuk saat ini pembelajaran jarak jauh menjadi salah satu faktor munculnya stres akademik yang dialami peserta didik karena belum terbiasa melakukan pembelajaran dalam jaringan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat stres akademik yang dirasakan peserta didik selama pembelajaran jarak jauh. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan skala stres akademik yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 258 siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat stres akademik yang dialami peserta didik ada pada kategori tinggi (M=57,47) dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas peserta didik SMP mengalami stres akademik selama pembelajaran jarak

Abstract

He relationship between the personal qualities of the guidance and counseling teacher greatly influences student satisfaction in following classical guidance because each student has different causes and levels of satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the personal qualities of counseling teachers and student satisfaction in following classical guidance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population in this study were all 11th grade students in Klaten district, totaling 919 students. The sampling technique used in this study was using a proportional random sampling technique with a total of 251 students. The measuring instrument used in this study uses two scales, namely the scale of student satisfaction in participating in classical guidance services and the personal quality scale of the counseling teacher. The data analysis technique used in testing this hypothesis is by using product moment correlation analysis. In this study, the results showed that the results of the product moment correlation analysis showed (r_xy = 0.720 Sig = 0.000) which means that there is a positive and significant relationship between the personal quality variables of guidance counselors and student satisfaction in following classical guidance. This means that the personal quality of the counseling teacher is good, so student satisfaction will also increase and vice versa.
