Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the classroom conditions for student learning activities. This was quantitative and qualitative research, conducted on 40 subjects, using the questionnaire as an instrument. The results identified five conditions, including (1) The learning strategy practiced, as lecturers tend to use various offline methods in the classroom, which need to be upgraded to online-based models. (2) The condition of course material utility, which was assessed to already be good, although improvement is also necessary, through the use of various models, including Facebook online live study. (3) The state of the facilities also needs to be improved in terms of air conditioners and internet signals with fast network access capacity, in order to ensure proper online-based learning. (4) Lecturer competency; The analysis results of this section have an impact on knowledge, in relation to online learning, therefore properly increasing Internet technology literacy. (5) Student characteristics, which are explained already, characterized by online learning with good knowledge of social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil penggunaan media Day Spinner dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk mengenalkan nama-nama hari kepada siswa kelas 3 SD Inpres Hartaco Indah, Makassar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, serta melibatkan 25 siswa, guru kelas, mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD), dan dosen pendamping. Media Day Spinner dirancang sebagai alat bantu interaktif berbentuk roda berputar berisi nama-nama hari dalam Bahasa Inggris yang dilengkapi warna dan ikon visual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa media ini efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, membantu pemahaman urutan hari, serta mendorong kemampuan menyusun kalimat sederhana secara lisan dan tertulis. Evaluasi menunjukkan 88% siswa mampu menyebutkan nama-nama hari dengan benar dan 80% dapat menyusun kalimat dalam Bahasa Inggris secara mandiri. Guru dan siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap media ini karena mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Media Day Spinner layak dijadikan alternatif alat bantu ajar dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di kelas rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa, ditandai dengan kurang semangat dalam mengikuti pelajaran, rasa bosan, minimnya partisipasi aktif, dan cenderung pasif selama proses pembelajaran. Sebagian besar guru juga masih menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik bagi siswa, serta jarang memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan interaktif. . Pendekatan eksperimen kuantitatif digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh model game based learning berbasis role playing terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar. Desain penelitian menggunakan Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan One group pretest-posttest. Seluruh 21 siswa kelas V menjadi sampel penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS versi 29. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor observasi guru dan siswa dari kategori baik menjadi sangat baik setelah penerapan model tersebut. Motivasi belajar siswa juga meningkat, ditunjukkan oleh lebih banyak siswa yang mencapai kategori sedang dan tinggi setelah perlakuan. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model tersebut. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model game based learning berbasis role playing efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of effective learning models to improve the speaking skills of Grade V students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi 1 in Makassar. The aim of this study was to describe the implementation of the cooperative learning model, Round Robin Brainstorming, among Grade V students. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The study involved two classes: the experimental class (VA) and the control class (VB), selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using observation sheets. The results showed that the implementation of the Round Robin Brainstorming model was highly successful, with the implementation percentage increasing from 83% to 95%. This model proved to be effective in improving students' speaking skills in the Indonesian language subject.

Abstract

This research was an experimental study that aimed to 1) describe the use of the cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write in grade V, 2) describe the narrative text writing skills of grade V students, and 3) determine the effect of the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model on the writing skills of grade V students at SD Negeri 114 Mallenreng, Sinjai Regency. This pre-experimental study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of all 18 grade V students at SD Negeri 114 Mallenreng. The independent variable was the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model, and the dependent variable was narrative text writing skills. The research procedure was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation, with Pretest, Treatment, and Posttest administered. The research adopted a quantitative approach, with data analysis involving prerequisite tests such as the normality test and hypothesis test. The final analysis was performed using paired sample tests in SPSS. The results of the study reveal: 1) the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model is implemented effectively according to the planned steps, 2) the writing skills of grade V students are categorized as sufficient before treatment and improve to good after treatment, and 3) the use of the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model has a positive impact on the writing skills of grade V students at SD Negeri 114 Mallenreng.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui yakni mendeskripsikan penggunaan media Strip Story terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman, Keterampilan membaca pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media Strip Story pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, dan pengaruh penggunaan media Strip Story terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen dan desain penelitian Quasi Experimental Design. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang terdiri dari kelas IV A dan IV B UPT SPF SD Inpres Tangkala II Kota Makassar, dengan jumlah keseluruhan 48 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial yang terdiri dari Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, dan Uji Hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan bantuan program SPSS Versi 29.0. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media Strip Story terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas IV secara umum dilaksanakan dengan sangat efektif, (2) keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran Strip Story lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan media pembelajaran Strip Story, (3) penggunaan media pembelajaran Strip Story berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Tangkala II Kota Makassar

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of science. The purpose of the study is to describe the application of the Take and Give type Cooperative learning model assisted by audio visual media to improve student learning outcomes in the science subject Class V of SD Negeri Batulaccu, Panakukang District, Makassar City, the approach used is qualitative descriptive and the type of research is Classroom Action (PTK). The data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The results of the study showed that in the achievement of the first cycle of the first meeting, the activities of teachers and students were in the category of lacking, while in the second meeting the activities of teachers and students were in the category of adequate, and the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle were as many as 12 students who completed with a percentage (63.15%) and in the category of incomplete as many as 7 students with a percentage (36.84%). In the achievement of the second cycle, the activities of teachers and students were in the good category, while in the second meeting, the activities of teachers and students were also in the good category, and the learning outcomes of students in the second cycle were16 students complete with a percentage (84.21%) and in the incomplete category with a percentage (15.78%). The conclusion of this study is the application of the Take and Give type cooperative learning can improve participant learning outcomes education.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to help students improve their reading and spelling skills. The implementation method used in this service is identifying the learning objectives to be achieved, using creative information boards to improve students' reading skills through creative learning media, and providing fun and interactive spelling exercises including the use of pictures, letters, and words that must be sorted or completed correctly to improve spelling skills, as well as encourage interest and motivation to learn. Based on the community service activities that have been carried out through the application of creative learning media in the form of letter boards, it turns out that it has a positive effect on letter recognition and the development of language skills in class 1 students at SD Negeri Pattingaloang 1 Makassar City. The use of these media helps create interactive, engaging, and effective learning experiences and helps students build a strong foundation in reading, spelling, and understanding language.

Abstract

The learning process is experiencing development and improvement. Various offers and choices of teachers appeared to carry out the learning process. One of them is by carrying out the learning process virtually. Every learning process certainly shapes the character of students. In this study, researchers wanted to reveal the character that was formed in students through a virtual learning process. The research method used is descriptive research. The results show that the virtual learning process can be carried out efficiently, but it is less effective in building character in students. The decrease in good character and the increase in bad character is the conclusion of this study.

Abstract

Students' self-confidence in speaking English remains low. Many students are still embarrassed to speak English since teachers use outdated teaching methods. This study aims to explore students' perspectives on using live-streaming projects on the Facebook group in EFL classes. This study involved forty English Department students at a university in Makassar, Indonesia. They engaged in the live streaming project-based learning (PBL) using the Facebook group in language learning in English classes. Four participants from the four groups consisting of ten participants were selected through random sampling and agreed to participate in a semi-structured interview. The qualitative data obtained from the interview were analyzed through a thematic analysis. Results show that live streaming on the Facebook group as PBL facilitated and increased the students
