Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa masih kurang memahami suatu bacaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pelaksanaan metode role playing terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, (2) mengetahui kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, dan (3)mengetahui pengaruh metode role playing terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan seluruh siswa kelas V  SD Negeri Mannuruki kota Makassar dengan jumlah 40 siswa, kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VA sebagai kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, lembar penilaian pre-test dan post-test dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode role playing terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Mannuruki kota Makassar dilihat dari skor rata-rata hasil penelitian. Kemudian. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa (1) Pelaksanaan metode role playing terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa berkategori “sangat baik”, (2) Kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa setelah menerapkan  metode role playing pada kelas eksperimen berkategori “baik”, dan  (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran menggunakan metode role playing terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negeri Mannuruki kota Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemanfaatan Platform Ruang GTK (Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) pada guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar. Kemudian mengetahui gambaran kompetensi Profesional Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar. Dan Mengetahui Apakah Terdapat Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Platform Ruang GTK (Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Pemanfaatan Platform Ruang GTK (Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) ini konsisten dengan seluruh indikator pemanfaatannya berada pada dominan kategori pemanfaatan tinggi. 2) Kompetensi Profesional guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar Konsisten berada pada dominan kategori tinggi. 3) Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui konstan sebesar 0,380 menunjukan bahwa jika variabel Platform Ruang GTK (Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) bernilai nol atau tetap maka akan meningkatkan kompetensi professional guru sebesar 0,380. Variabel platform Ruang GTK 0,521 menunjukkan bahwa jika variabel platform Ruang GTK meningkat 1 satuan maka akan meningkat Kompetensi Professional Guru sebesar 0,521 satuan. Perbedaan ini juga didukung oleh hasil uji hipotesis, di mana nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 hal ini berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Terdapat Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Platform Ruang GTK (Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar.

Abstract

: This study looks at how well elementary school children can use language. It focuses on four main areas are basic sentence structure, proper verb use, subject-verb agreement, and the use of tenses. Since grammar is such an important part of teaching English, especially to elementary school teachers, the study's goals are to find out how well students are doing and how these skills relate to each other. A descriptive correlational method was used with a quantitative technique, and 117 bilingual students took part. A questionnaire was used to collect data, and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to examine it. The results show that the subjects had different levels of competence, and there were significant correlations between the four parts of grammar. Basic Sentence Structure became an important factor that affected the correct use of verbs and subject-verb agreement, which in turn affected the use of tenses. The study shows how important it is for teacher education programs to teach grammar well and stress the value of combining subject knowledge with effective teaching methods to prepare bilingual teachers for their jobs. These data show how important it is to include focused interventions in teacher training programs to make sure that future elementary school teachers have the language and teaching skills they need to teach English well.

Abstract

Objective: This study investigates pre-service teachers' (PST) feedback skills during Field Experience Practice (FEP), identifies influencing factors, and examines their impact on student learning. Method: A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative data from 42 PSTs and 57 teachers via questionnaires and qualitative insights from interviews, observations, and documentation. Descriptive statistics were employed to categorize feedback proficiency, while qualitative analysis explored contextual influences. Results: Findings reveal three levels of feedback skills—high, medium, and low—determined by internal factors (pedagogical understanding, teaching experience) and external factors (supervisor support, school environment). Effective feedback enhances student comprehension, motivation, and engagement, yet many PSTs struggle with providing structured, actionable feedback. Novelty: This study uniquely focuses on PSTs’ feedback skills during FEP, highlighting key factors influencing their effectiveness and the impact on student learning. It also provides evidence-based recommendations for strengthening teacher education curricula by integrating structured feedback training, ultimately improving classroom interactions and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat bertajuk “Pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana komunikasi, informasi, dan dokumentasi: Pendidikan di Majelis Taklim Annursejahtera bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan sebagai sarana komunikasi dan juga dokumentasi untuk semua pertemuan Taklim Annursejahtera tentang pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah observasi langsung Masjid Annursejahtera di kawasan Gowa dengan mengambil data statistik dan dokumentasi pertemuan taklim yang kemudian dituangkan ke dalam media Instagram. Selain itu, observasi dan pendataan narasumber sebagai pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung dengan ketua dan pengelola majelis taklim di Sejahtera Permai. Hasil akhir dari pengabdian ini adalah pemanfaatan media sosial yaitu Instagram, WhatsApp dan YouTube sebagai penyedia informasi, tempat dokumentasi dan sarana komunikasi untuk setiap pertemuan majelis taklim dan kegiatan masyarakat di kompleks Sejahtera-Permai, termasuk gambar pendukung.

Abstract

Research on the use of digital technology in promoting English Foreign Language (EFL) students’ self-directed learning of listening skills has been widely acknowledged in the literature. However, few empirical studies have been conducted on interactive worksheets as mediated instruction in the teaching of listening. This study used a qualitative method, and seventy-seven students were selected from the Education Department at State University of Makassar. This research instrument is used in interviews. Grounded in a web-based learning approach, the researchers investigated the students’ perceived experiences in conducting the “liveworksheet” website and its potential to promote their self-learning, activeness, and autonomy in listening practices. As a result, the study highlights several significant findings: students’ self-directed learning, automatic scoring, accessing the website, students’ vocabulary mastery, students’ learning autonomy, and students’ technology skills. Moreover, this study suggests employing web-based “liveworksheet” activities in a technology-mediated EFL learning environment, thus increasing their self-directed learning and ease to make distance learning happen through the website. Therefore, this study highlighted the advantages of in-making live worksheets for teachers and students in answering live worksheets which are very important to support, provide interesting learning, and get their learning outcomes

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan layanan bimbingan konseling seperti Unit Pelayanan Teknis Bimbingan Konseling (UPT BK) pada Universitas Negeri Makassar semakin penting di kalangan masyarakat khususnya bagi mahasiswa. Hadirnya layanan bimbingan konseling, di harapkan menjadi ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk mengekspresikan diri dan mengungkapkan berbagai permasalahan yang sedang dialami. Akan tetapi, semua fungsi layanan UPT BK ini belum sepenuhnya dapat dirasakan mahasiswa di UNM khususnya bagi mahasiswa yang berkampus di luar kota Makassar seperti kampus V Pare-Pare dan Kampus VI Bone. Ada 5 akar penyebab masalah ini yakni: 1) system layanan bimbingan konseling masih berfokus pada kegiatan konvensional yakni tatap muka secara langsung, 2) kurangnya sosialisasi layanan BK 3) kurangnya kolaborasi antara penyedia layanan pusat dengan pihak kampus diluar kampus utama (UNM Pare-pare dan PGSD Bone), 4) jarak antara mahasiswa PGSD Bone FIP UNM dengan pusat layanan cukup jauh, dan 5) kecenderungan mahasiswa gen Z pada layanan berbasis online. Untuk itu, penulis memfokuskan upaya penanganan masalah kurang optimalnya penggunaan layanan bimbingan konseling bagi mahasiswa PGSD Bone dengan mengupayakan suatu solusi berupa pengabdian yakni “ Sosialisasi Layanan Konseling Berbasis Web Bagi Mahasiswa PGSD Bone”.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of verbal ability and interaction on children’s language skills during English read-aloud activities. Read-aloud sessions are widely recognized as a pivotal method to enhance children’s cognitive and linguistic development. The research employed a structural equation modeling approach to analyze data from 108 children aged 6 to 9 years participating in interactive English storytelling sessions. Key variables included verbal ability, interaction, and language skill development. Findings reveal that verbal ability significantly influences language skills, with a path coefficient of 0.400 (p = 0.001), underscoring its critical role in vocabulary acquisition and sentence construction. Interaction, though showing a moderate effect (0.185, p = 0.068), highlights the importance of collaborative learning and engagement in strengthening comprehension and contextual language use. Additionally, the response to read-aloud stories demonstrate a meaningful contribution (0.331, p = 0.009), emphasizing the role of narrative exposure in fostering linguistic competence. These findings provide actionable insights for educators and parents, suggesting that incorporating interactive elements and verbal practice into English read-aloud sessions can significantly boost children’s language skills. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on effective language development strategies and emphasizes the importance of creating engaging, communicative learning environments.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews 21 peer-reviewed articles published between August 2021 and December 2024 that examined the use of the Paired Storytelling learning model to improve primary school students’ speaking skills. Articles were selected from Google Scholar using defined inclusion criteria: (1) studies conducted in primary school contexts, (2) focus on speaking skills, (3) empirical research design, and (4) full-text availability. A content analysis was conducted across four dimensions: publication trends, research methodologies, participant characteristics, and data collection and analysis techniques. Results indicate a predominance of quantitative studies, particularly quasi-experimental designs, with minimal application of qualitative methods and Classroom Action Research (CAR). Most studies focused on upper-grade students (grades 4–6), while research on lower grades (1–3) was limited. Speaking tests and t-tests were the most frequently used tools. Key gaps include limited methodological variation, minimal exploration of early-grade learners, and underuse of advanced or mixed-method analyses. These findings underscore the need to diversify research approaches and target underrepresented student populations. Addressing these gaps can enhance our understanding of how Paired Storytelling fosters not only linguistic competence but also social interaction, learner confidence, and inclusive classroom engagement in primary education.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the steps for implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve mathematics learning outcomes for class II students. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. This research was conducted at SD Inpres Ana Gowa, Gowa Regency with the research subjects being grade 2 students at SD Inpres Ana Gowa, totaling 23 subjects. The basic activities of the learning process carried out by teachers all apply the steps of the project-based learning model (PjBL), namely (a) identifying basic questions, (b) preparing a project design; (c) schedule setting; (d) integrating project progress; (e) assessment of results; f) evaluation of experience. The research results show an increase in learning outcomes through the application of the project-based learning model for grade 2 elementary school students. This is proven by the increase. Student learning outcomes also increased with the average student learning score in the initial condition being 11 students (75%), increasing in cycle 1 with the average student score being 72 with the number of students being 12 people (85%), and in cycle 2 it was obtained The average score was 89 students, with 23 students completing or (89%).
