Abstract

This research aims to establish the managerial practices for designing the Cambridge curriculum at SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative methodology. The data source in this study came from in-depth interviews conducted with teaching staff at SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive, evaluative technique. The research results show three curriculum management procedures at SMPS Golden Christian School (GCS): planning, implementation, and evaluation. Henceforth, it is suggested that organizational management is also carried out to manage the scope, sequence of materials, continuity, balance, and integration so that the current curriculum can be organized and patterned. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur manajerial pengembangan kurikulum Cambridge di SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari wawancara secara mendalam yang dilakukan dengan tenaga pengajar di SMPS Golden Christian School Palangka Raya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif evaluatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga prosedur manajemen kurikulum yang dilakukan di SMPS Golden Christian School (GCS) yaitu manajemen perencanaan, manajemen pelaksanaan, dan manajemen evaluasi. Untuk selanjutnya, diberikan saran agar dilakukan pula manajemen organisasi untuk menata kelola terkait ruang lingkup, urutan bahan, kontinuitas, keseimbangan, dan keterpaduan agar kurikulum yang berjalan dapat terorganisir dan berpola.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character values that are instilled through literacy programs implemented at the elementary school level. This analysis is based on a critical pedagogic approach. This study uses content analysis research methods on the literacy program documents of the ministry of education, especially those implemented at the elementary school level. The research findings show that there is integration of instilling character values in students through literacy activities so that students become individual lifelong learners, character values instilled through literacy programs are one way to achieve real educational goals. In addition, based on an analysis with a critical pedagogic approach, the integration of character values in literacy programs is an educational process to make humans become fully human in dealing with the problems they face. It can be concluded that the integration of character values in the literacy program is one of the efforts of the government to strive for humanization of education. Through the integration of these character values, the government can develop the character and manners of students so that they become lifelong learners who have good character.

Abstract

Teacher development program (TDP) will only be effective when it answers the teacher's need. This study aims to find out how important the training content that has been delivered in the TDP. The training contents listed in this study drawn from the Teacher Working Group, the School of Master Teacher program organized by Sekolah Guru Indonesia Dompet Dhuafa and teacher development at Sukma Bangsa School. A total of 327 primary school teachers have participated in the study which was designed based on survey model. The study was limited to primary school teachers due to different teacher needs of other school levels may be occurred. The data of this study were obtained by using a questionnaire comprised of 13 close-ended items in the form of the rating scale. Descriptive statistics include the percentage, frequency, mean, and standard deviation for data analysis. According to the study results, 84,1% of respondents chosen classroom management as the most important training content to learn. Another indication of the result is that the teachers also need to learn teaching and learning models, developmental psychology, teaching motivation, teaching and learning evaluation, teaching and learning media, technology-based learning, lesson plan, 2013 curriculum, classroom display, public speaking and literacy-based learning that more than 50% teachers defined them as very important to learn. However, only 47% of respondents mentioned Classroom Action Research is very important to learn. Based on the results of this study, the designer of TDP suggested considering classroom management as the first priority to deliver in the TDP followed by teaching and learning models, developmental psychology, teaching motivation, teaching and learning evaluation, teaching and learning media, technology-based learning, lesson plan, 2013 curriculum, classroom display, public speaking and literacy-based learning. In addition, it has to pay more attention to the teacher's need level of Classroom Action Research that is still very low due to improving their motivation to do research. Seberapa pentingkah muatan program pengembangan guru saat ini bagi guru sekolah dasar?Program pengembangan guru dinilai efektif jika muatan materi yang diberikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa penting muatan pelatihan yang selama ini dibawakan dalam program pengembangan guru. Muatan pelatihan yang dimasukkan ke dalam daftar muatan pelatihan pada penelitian ini diambil dari Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG), program School of Master Teacher yang diselenggarakan oleh Sekolah Guru Indonesia Dompet Dhuafa dan program pengembangan guru di Sekolah Sukma Bangsa. Sebanyak 327 guru sekolah dasar telah berpartisipasi dalam studi yang dirancang berdasarkan model survei. Penelitian ini terbatas pada guru sekolah dasar sebab kebutuhan guru pada jenjang pendidikan lainnya dapat berbeda. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 13 soal tertutup dalam bentuk skala penilaian. Statistik deskriptif termasuk persentase, frekuensi, mean, dan deviasi standar dihitung untuk analisis data. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas adalah konten pelatihan yang paling penting untuk dipelajari oleh guru sekolah dasar dimana sebanyak 84,1% responden memilihnya sebagai muatan yang sangat penting dipelajari. Indikasi lain dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa para guru juga perlu belajar model-model pembelajaran, psikologi perkembangan, motivasi mengajar, evaluasi belajar mengajar, media pembelajaran, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, rencana pelajaran, kurikulum 2013, display kelas, public speaking dan pembelajaran berbasis literasi dimana lebih dari 50% guru mendefinisikannya sebagai materi yang sangat penting untuk dipelajari. Sebaliknya penelitian tindakan kelas masih dianggap belum begitu penting dimana hanya 47, 1% yang menilainya sangat penting untuk dipelajari. Berdasarkan hasil studi ini, perancang program pengembangan guru pada masa mendatang disarankan agar memprioritaskan manajemen kelas untuk disampaikan dalam program pengembangan guru, diikuti oleh model-model pembelajaran, psikologi perkembangan, motivasi mengajar, evaluasi belajar mengajar, media pembelajaran, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, rencana pelajaran, kurikulum 2013, display kelas, public speaking dan pembelajaran berbasis literasi. Namun dengan melihat tingkat kebutuhan guru yang masih rendah terhadap penelitian tindakan kelas perlu menjadi perhatian agar minat guru untuk melakukan penelitian dapat ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Kompetensi TIK diharapkan dapat menjadi penopang bagi peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional bagi seorang guru. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi TIK guru pada dimensi pedagogik yang dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam perancangan program peningkatan kompetensi guru oleh lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan dan pelatihan. Melalui pendekatan Penelitian Desain dan Pengembangan (Design and Development Research) dengan merujuk pada kerangka kerja kompetensi TIK untuk guru yang dikembangkan oleh UNESCO (UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers). Hasil penelitian telah memetakan kompetensi TIK yang dapat dicapai oleh guru melalui Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan secara berjenjang dalam tiga level kompetensi yang dilengkapi dengan deskripsi kompetensi pada setiap levelnya.Mapping information and communication technology (ICT) competency for teachers from the  pedagogic dimensionICT competence is expected to be a support for the improvement of pedagogical and professional competence for a teacher. This study aims to develop teacher's ICT competence on the pedagogic dimension that can be used as a reference in the design of teacher competency improvement programs by education and training providers. Through the Design and Development Research approach by referring to the ICT competency framework for teachers developed by UNESCO. The research results have mapped the competence of ICT that can be achieved by teachers through Continuous Professional Development in three levels of competence with a description of competence at each level.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has had such a big impact on the education system, especially the National education system. In the conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic, national learning is carried out online, both formal and non-formal education (training). Related to this, the authors conducted a study on the application of asynchronous and synchronous blended learning in Stunting Prevention and Handling Training held at the Ministry of Social education and training institutions. The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness and constraints of implementing asynchronous blended learning and synchronous training. The method used in this study is a literature study. The results of the study show that the implementation of asynchronous and synchronous blended online learning Training on Stunting Prevention and Handling is not yet effective. This is due to the asynchronous setting being carried out only with independent asynchronous (AM) without the presence of a facilitator. The existence of a facilitator can play an important role in maintaining and maintaining the level of student learning motivation and facilitating relationships between training participants and with the facilitator. Then in the implementation of synchronous online learning Training on Stunting Prevention and Handling is also considered less effective. The main obstacle is the internet network which is not accessible to participants, especially from remote areas. So that it is very difficult for participants to follow synchronous learning as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based E-SCIENCE learning model to improve students’ science learning outcomes on the topic of the human circulatory system. The study employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Cilawu, Garut Regency, involving a sample of 40 eighth-grade students from class VIII G. The research instruments included expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and achievement tests to measure learning outcomes. The results indicate that the developed learning model meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Students’ learning outcomes showed a significant improvement after the implementation of the model, as evidenced by higher post-test scores compared to pre-test scores. Furthermore, expert evaluations revealed a high level of feasibility, with both media and content experts awarding scores of 94. These findings suggest that the web-based E-SCIENCE learning model is effective in enhancing students’ understanding and learning outcomes related to the human circulatory system. Therefore, this model can be considered a viable and effective alternative for science instruction to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan SMKN X Cianjur dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran mendalam melalui analisis kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman (SWOT) serta merumuskan strategi implementasi untuk mendukung optimalisasi pembelajaran mendalam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed-methods) dengan desain sekuensial eksplanatori dua-fase. Fase pertama dilakukan pengumpulan data dan analisis kuantitatif untuk data numerik yang dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 87 orang guru. Fase kedua dilakukan pengumpulan data dan analisis kualitatif untuk data non-numerik sebagai tindak lanjut fase pertama, dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan sampel 10 orang yang dipilih secara purposif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan internal sekolah lebih dominan dalam mendukung implementasi pembelajaran mendalam, sementara faktor eksternal seperti peluang dan ancaman tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan. Strategi S-O dan S-T memiliki skor tertinggi (masing-masing 7,99), menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi kekuatan internal dapat diarahkan baik untuk menangkap peluang maupun mengantisipasi ancaman. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan strategi penguatan kapasitas guru dan pemanfaatan komunitas belajar (kombel) sebagai wadah saling berbagi dan inovasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya krisis pangan di Indonesia. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang pertanian menjadi salah satu target pemerintah dalam rangka membatu meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di Indonesia. Salah satu cara dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan yaitu melalui penggunaan teknologi dalam sistem pertanian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji urgensi penggunaan IoT dalam pembelajaran di bidang pertanian yang dapat mendukung ketahanan pangan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah saturated sampling. Adapun sampel yang di ambil adalah guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang mengajar di bidang pertanian sebanyak 30 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan analisis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa pentingnya penggunaan IoT dalam pembelajaran bidang pertanian dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran (baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas) yang dapat menghasilkan lulusan dengan keterampilan teknologi sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri abad ke -21, yang nantinya juga berdampak pada hasil panen pertanian yang unggul. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan kepada pemerintah sebagai pemangku kebijakan agar memfasilitasi prasarana dalam penyediaan IoT untuk media pembelajaran di SMK khususnya dalam bidang pertanian guna mendukung peningkatan ketahanan pangan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study interpreted and navigated the experiences of a teacher providing an inclusive approach to children in elementary school who required special attention. The study was motivated by the increasing cases of mental health issues among elementary school-aged children, which adversely affect various aspects of their lives. The gap between teachers' knowledge related to children's psychological problems is an important substance that deserves to be explored, because research like this is still rarely carried out. This research did not judge the rightness or wrongness of a teacher’s actions but prioritized the value of care in this exploration. Through a narrative inquiry, the study explored how a elementary school teacher’s care and experience manifested in attending to children exhibiting psychological symptoms influencing their behavior at school. The findings focused on the interpretation of narratives constructed by the teacher. Behaviors perceived as ‘naughty,’ hyperactive, anxious, or attention-seeking were understood as accumulations of family background factors. Hence, what was needed was not judgment but the teacher’s ability to dedicate time to listen to the child’s story and provide an inclusive approach. Psychological competence was not the foremost concern; rather, it was the teacher’s willingness and high level of care, demonstrated through actions aimed at helping students reach their optimal performance in life. Due to the research limitations, the findings recommend long-term studies involving multiple participants from diverse backgrounds for further exploration.
