Abstract

Papaya (carica papaya) is a fruit that is round to elongated in shape, with the tip usually tapered. The color of the fruit when young is dark green, and when ripe it is orange. Papaya fruit contains substances that are beneficial for the body and can be consumed or treated because it contains many good ingredients to protect the body from various diseases. The chemical contents of papaya are calories, water, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, niacin and folate. Papaya sap also contains papain, chemopapain, lysozyme, lipase, glutamine, and cyclotransferase. The aim of this research is to process young papaya into shredded meat that has a high taste and is healthy which can be consumed as a substitute for side dishes, and as a snack for children and adults. The samples used in this research were 1 kg of young papaya, 3 cloves of shallots, 1 clove of garlic, salt to taste which was obtained around Bengkulu City. The processing technique is done by grating, draining and fried. The research results showed that  papaya stik crispy has a high taste and produces a distinctive color, taste and aroma.

Abstract

The integrated training in scientific journal management at Pat Petulai University was designed to enhance the understanding and skills of journal managers regarding the use of Open Journal Systems (OJS), the peer review process, and journal accreditation standards. Evaluation results indicate that participants found the training highly beneficial and relevant to their needs. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm during the training, reflected in their active participation in discussions and practical sessions. Despite weaknesses such as limited time for practice sessions, recommendations for improvements have been made to enhance future training effectiveness. Overall, the results show that the training successfully achieved its goals and positively contributed to the quality and efficiency of journal management at the university.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to present innovations in the culinary field by utilising local ingredients, namely cassava, to create unique and attractive modern food products. Through the programme "Innovation of Cassava-based Food into Modern Food (HOTKONG) in Bengkulu City", it is hoped that it can increase appreciation for the potential of local food ingredients and introduce new variations in food consumption to the community on Jalan Kinibalu 8 RT 12 RW 2 Kel. Kebun Tebeng, Kec. Ratu Agung Bengkulu City. In addition, this activity also aims to provide opportunities for students to develop their creativity and skills in the culinary and business fields. With this business, it is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the local culinary industry and the regional economy by utilising the potential of local raw materials in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The purpose of the service of making the Pematang Balam village structure board is so that there is a clear archive related to Pematang Balam village officials and to provide clarity to the community regarding influential people in Pematang Balam village. This method of giving the structure board directly to the village head and village officials at the Pematang Balam village office. The target to be achieved is the village office, in order to create security for a village, because all tasks have been divided according to the structure that has been made.

Abstract

The purpose of the empowerment of natural resources and the environment in Pematang Balam village, Hulu Palik sub-district is to increase the potential of nature so that Pematang Balam village can be realized as a wiata village. After a survey was conducted, it turned out that the Pematang Balam village area had a waterfall tour that was not utilized. The method in this activity is to directly visit the waterfall tour of Curug Attached. The target in this activity is a waterfall tour near Pematang Balam village. The result of this activity is that the Pematang Balam village government seeks to increase the potential of the Pematang Balam village area.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to improve the ability to wash hands properly and correctly using soap, increase student motivation in washing hands, improve student hand washing habits. This community service program is carried out at Pelita Hati PAUD. The results of this community service program run smoothly, conducive and according to procedures. Pelita Hati PAUD students were very enthusiastic and seemed to be able to wash their hands properly.

Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan molekul yang mampu memperlambat atau mencegah proses oksidasi molekul lain. Oksidasi adalah reaksi kimia yang dapat menghasilkan radikal bebas, sehingga memicu reaksi berantai yang dapat merusak sel. Banyak penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman rosella (Hibiscus sbdariffa L.) bermanfaat sebagai antioksidan. Salah satu senyawa yang berperan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas yang terkandung dalam rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) adalah kandungan senyawa fenolik. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa siswi SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu yang dilakukan dengan beberapa rangkaian yang tentunya mengedukasi, diantara kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi, penyuluhan, pembagian teh bunga rosella, pembagian brosur. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan siswa siswi kelas XII MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu mengetahui pengaruh seduhan teh bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) untuk kesehatan terutama sebagai antioksidan, efek samping, dan cara pembuatan teh bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)

Abstract

Mycorrhizal biofertilizer is a biotechnology agent and bio protector that is environmentally friendly and supports the concept of sustainable agriculture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of growth and production of shallots on the application of the genus Mycorrhizae and N,P,K fertilizers. This study used a completely randomized design method with two factors: The first factor was the application of the mycorrhizal genera Glomus (M1), Gigaspora (M2), Acaulospora (M3), and the Mycorrhizal Consortium (M4); and the second factor is 0-gram NPK fertilizer (NPK0), 25-gram NPK fertilizer (NPK25), 50-gram NPK fertilizer (NPK50), 75-gram NPK fertilizer (NPK75). The results of the identification of Glomus spore form is obovoid, the spore wall is more than one layer, yellow in color. Gigaspora spore form is globose, spore walls do not have an inner wall, and the spore is yellowish cream in color. Acaulospora spore is elliptic, has 2 spore walls, spores are yellow. The results of mycorrhizal responses and doses of NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of shallots were not significantly different according to the analysis of variance in all observation parameters, but some treatments consistently produced the highest results among other treatments. The highest treatment was M1.NPK50 produced an average number of shallots of 50 pieces, the number of shallot bulbs averaged 13.4 and the diameter of shallot bulbs averaged 4.9.

Abstract

Tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa. L.) termasuk sayuran daun yang digemari oleh masyarakat hampir di seluruh dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Kebutuhan pasar akan sayuran selada terus meningkat namun produksinya masih tergolong rendah. Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dalam produksi di antaranya adalah faktor pemupukan. Sehubungan dengan itu telah dilaksanakan penelitian tentang produksi selada (Lactuca sativa L.) dengan pemberian pupuk pelengkap cair (PPC) pada media arang sekam di Sukarami di Solok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi PPC terbaik pada produksi tanaman selada. Dalam Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Masing-masing perlakuan adalah (A) tanpa perlakuan, (B) konsentrasi 0,2 % larutan, (C) konsentrasi 0,4% larutan, (D) konsentrasi 0,6% larutan dan (E) konsentrasi 0,8% larutan. Parameter yang diukur adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot segar per tanaman. Data penelitian diolah dengan analisis sidik ragam pada taraf α 5%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan bobot segar pertanaman hasilnya berpengaruh sangat nyata dan perlakuan terbaik adalah pada perlakuan E dengan konsentrasi 0,8 %.

Abstract

In the last three years, the production of melon has decreased. The decline in melon production was caused by the limited availability of superior seed varieties. Therefore, increasing production by developing superior varieties with high yields is necessary. Characterization is the first step in breeding plants. The research objective was to determine the characteristics of 21 melon genotypes. The research was conducted from January to March 2024. The research was conducted in Lubuk Saung Village, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. The experiment used a randomized complete block design on one factor with three replications. The factors used were 21 melon genotypes. The results showed that cluster analysis with a similarity of 33.33 produced five groups of melons, and G15 was the most different genotype among the other genotypes. Medium leaf size and medium green leaf color are the most dominant sizes and colors. The length of the leaf lobes in the medium category and the development of the leaf lobes in the weak category are the most dominant. The round shape of the fruit is the most common form of fruit. The skin color of the fruit before it is ripe is most green, and the color of the flesh when it is ripe is most white. Fruit without grooves is the most dominant, and surface wrinkles in the fragile fruit are the most dominant. Based on the characterization results, the next stage is selecting new superior varieties according to the desired characteristics.
