Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal dosage and concentration of fish-waste-based liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of mustard greens, as well as to evaluate the interaction between these factors. The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with a factorial pattern of 2 factors: concentration (K1: 1 liter POC + 5 liters water, K2: 1 liter POC + 10 liters water, K3: 1 liter POC + 15 liters water) and dosage (D0: control, D1: 100 ml/polybag, D2: 150 ml/polybag, D3: 200 ml/polybag). The results indicated that the D3 dosage (200 ml POC) produced the best outcomes across all growth and yield parameters for mustard greens in both planting periods. Additionally, the K1 concentration (1 liter POC + 5 liters water) also yielded the best results for various growth and yield parameters. A significant interaction between concentration and dosage was observed for plant height during the first period and for various other parameters in the second period

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Kosabangsa 2023 program on improving the knowledge of fishermen's fish processing in Serangai Village, Batik Nau Sub-district, North Bengkulu Regency. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, we surveyed the group of fishermen who participated in the Kosabangsa 2023 program and conducted statistical data analysis to assess its impact on the knowledge, skills, and practices of processing fishermen's catch for income generation. The survey results showed that most respondents reported an increase in knowledge of fish processing, packaging and marketing after participating in the kosabangsa program. In addition, there was a significant increase in fish processing productivity due to the adoption of new technologies provided in the kosabangsa program for the communities participating in the program. However, challenges such as frequent power outages made the implementation of the program less successful. These findings suggest that the kosabangsa program is effective in improving the quality of human resources in processing captured fish, and that there is a need to increase the sustainability of the program to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of LPMKS fertiliser and phosphate solubilizing fungi on the growth of sweet corn plants and determine the dose of LPMKS solid organic fertiliser and phosphate solubilizing fungi. This study used a two-factor group randomised design, with the first factor being LPMKS fertiliser and the second factor being phosphate solubilizing fungi. The results showed that the treatment of LPMKS fertiliser did not significantly affect the growth and yield of sweet corn, but there was a tendency that the treatment of 100 g LPMKS produced better growth and yield of sweet corn. The treatment of phosphate solubilizing fungi at a dose of 5 g per plant tended to respond to plant growth and yield. There was an interaction between LPMKS fertiliser and phosphate-solubilizing fungi on the number of cobs parameter. The highest interaction was L3 P1 although not significantly different from L3 P1. The combination of all doses of LPMKS with low doses of phosphate-solubilizing fungi can produce the highest number of cobs.

Abstract

big chili (Capsicum year L.) is an important vegetable commodity in Indonesia which is widely used as a cooking flavouring. In addition to protein, fat and carbohydrate nutrients, large chilies also contain vitamins A, B1 and vitamin C which are substances needed for human health (Prayudi , 2010). Red chili production in Indonesia in 2019 amounted to 12,144,1900 tons with a harvested area of 133,434 hectares and in Bengkulu province 378,1200 tons with a harvested area of 6,489 hectares. Whereas in 2020 in Indonesia it was 12,641,9000 tons with a harvested area of 133,434 ha and red chili production in Bengkulu reaching 396,3800 tons per 6,510 hectares (Central Bureau of Statistics, 2020). Judging from the data above, chili production in Indonesia will increase in 2020 and Bengkulu province will also experience an increase in 2020.This research will be carried out from June to July 2022, the research location is in Meranti Jaya Village, Ujan Mas District, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 1 treatment factor, namely papaya leaf extract consisting of 5 levels with 3 replications and each replication consisted of 10 samples, with a dose of p0 = 0 ml/liter of water, p1 = 10 ml/liter of water, p2= 15 ml/liter of water, p3= 20 ml/liter of water, p4= 25 ml/liter of water. The number of plants in the study was P x T x U = 5 x 10 x 3 = 150 plants. Based on the results of variance, it is known that the concentration of papaya leaf extract p1 and p2 has shown a decrease in fungal attackFusarium oxysporum but the inhibitory effect was stronger at concentrations of p3 and p4. it proves that papaya leaf extract has an anti-fungicidal effect against fungiFusarium oxysporum. The research showed that the lower the concentration of the extract given, the less the inhibitory power and the less anti-fungal content, and vice versa if the concentration of the extract given is higher, the anti-fungal content in the extract can be sufficient in inhibiting the growth of the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. So it can be concluded that there was a significant effect on the application of papaya leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of the fungus Fusarium oxysporum and the most effective doses in inhibiting the fungus Fusarium oxysporum were p3 and p4.
