Abstract

Rajo Lelo Forest Park (TAHURA) is located in Tanjung Terdana Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu Regency. This forest area is overgrown with various trees, including ectomycorrhizal host trees. A purposive sampling plot method was used on each found fungus to determine ectomycorrhizal species' diversity, abundance, and distribution. Five plots were used, each measuring 20 cm by 20 cm. The data collected from these plots revealed important information about the forest's ecological dynamics. We examined the samples to determine the types of ectomycorrhizal species and how they aided tree health and forest biodiversity. Fungi found in the plot were identified morphologically by comparing morphological characters to references. According to the results of the analysis, there are 118 individual fungi from nine species and seven families. The species diversity index is classified as moderate, at 1.61. Clitopilus sp. is 33.05% more abundant than any other ectomycorrhizal fungus. However, there are 0.85% fewer species of Scleroderma sp., Lactarius sp., and Macrolepiota sp. than any other species. The distribution index of ectomycorrhizal fungi in Rajo Lelo Forest Park is 1.34, placing them in the clustering category.

Abstract

Mycorrhiza is a fungus that is symbiotic with plant roots, has great potential in biological control of plant diseases. The purpose of this literature review study is to examine in depth the role of mycorrhiza in plant disease control based on scientific articles indexed on Google Scholar. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to collect data from 100 relevant scientific articles, indexed on Google Scholar, with a range of years 2010-2024. The data was analyzed using VOSviewer software to map the relationship between keywords. The results of network, overlay and density visualization using VOSviewer showed that mycorrhiza, particularly arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), have a central role in plant disease control through symbiotic interactions with roots and soil microorganisms. The network visualization highlights the close relationship between keywords such as "plant," "fungi," and "soil microorganism," while the overlay visualization reveals recent research trends focusing on plant growth and protection against pathogens. The density map visualization emphasized that topics such as root health, symbiosis, and soil microorganism management were the main focus. Overall, this study confirms the importance of mycorrhizae in supporting sustainable agriculture, with great potential to increase crop productivity and reduce reliance on chemical pesticides.

Abstract

Effective reference management is a crucial component in academic writing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of citations. However, many students at STIKES AL-FATAH Bengkulu face challenges in managing references, such as citation format errors and difficulties organizing source materials. To address these issues, this community service activity aims to provide training on the use of Mendeley as a reference management tool for students. We conducted the training using a participatory approach, which included lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. We gave the participants, consisting of 30 students, an understanding of the basics of using Mendeley, including installation, library management, creating reference folders, and applying automatic citation formats in Microsoft Word. The participants themselves provided the computers for this one-day activity at the STIKES AL-FATAH Bengkulu campus. The results of the program showed that more than 90% of participants successfully mastered the basic skills of using Mendeley, as evidenced by their ability to compile bibliographies in the correct format. Additionally, most participants provided positive feedback on the training, stating that using Mendeley made the process of academic writing significantly easier for them.

Abstract

Luak Hitam Farmer Group, one of twelve farmer groups in Bandung Jaya Village, has great potential in the plantation, agriculture, and poultry farming sectors. However, high fluctuations in the price of feed concentrates are an obstacle in meeting the nutritional needs of poultry. On the other hand, the abundance of durian seeds as a source of energy and gold snails as a source of feed for ducks in this area has not been optimally utilized. In addition, post-harvest processing of quail into high-economic value products has also not been done effectively. This community service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in processing durian seeds and gold snails into feed ingredients and post-harvest processing of quail. Activities include program socialization, education, and training, as well as mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The results of the program showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of the Luak Hitam Farmer Group in producing alternative feed made from durian seed flour and gold snail, as well as post-harvest management of quail into products of economic value.

Abstract

Purpose: Identify the key factors influencing the travel intentions of Generation Z Muslims in Bengkulu to visit halal tourism destinations, using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model approach. The study targeted Generation Z Muslims residing in Bengkulu Province, with respondents selected through purposive sampling. Results: Indicate that the intention to visit halal tourist destinations is significantly influenced by factors such as attitudes, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, and halal awareness. All of these independent factors were found to have a positive effect on travel intentions. Findings: Provide valuable insights for stakeholders in the tourism industry, especially in developing halal tourism products and services that cater to the specific preferences and needs of Generation Z Muslims. Originality : While TPB has been used in past studies, applying it to the context of halal tourism for Generation Z Muslims in Bengkulu is unique. The emphasis on halal awareness as a key influencing factor adds an innovative layer to the existing framework. These results can contribute to enhancing the marketing strategies of halal tourism destinations, ensuring their appeal to this demographic group. Conclussions: Attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, and halal awareness all significantly influence the intention of Generation Z Muslims to visit halal tourism destinations. Type of Paper : Empirical Research Article

Abstract

This study aims to identify the application of the marketing mix model as a marketing communication strategy for increasing the number of tourist visits to elephant training centres (PLG). This study used the descriptive-qualitative method. The survey results show that marketing communications carried out by natural tourism managers at elephant training centres (PLG) with a marketing mix, personal selling, word-of-mouth marketing (WOM), and direct marketing can increase tourist visits to the elephant training centre. The supporting factors for the marketing communication strategy are the high tourism potential and information and communication technology development. At the same time, the inhibiting factors are limited funds, damaged roads to tourist attractions, and limited internet networks.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the nutritious food commodities and a source of vegetable protein whose production is still below Indonesia's domestic needs. Research needs to be done to increase soybean productivity on marginal land. This study aims to measure the growth and yield of soybeans against the application of ameliorant and organic fertilizer made from palm oil waste. The study was conducted in Gunung Alam Village from February to April 2020. The study used a randomized block design which was arranged in a factorial manner and consisted of two factors with three replications. The first factor was ameliorant, namely 0 ton.ha-1, 1 ton.ha-1, 2 ton.ha-1, and 3 ton.ha-1. The second factor is LPMKS (Palm Oil Mill Fertilizer) fertilizer, namely 0 ton.ha-1, 2 ton.ha-1, 4 ton.ha-1, and 6 ton.ha-1. The results showed that the interaction between amelioran and organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves 49 days after planting, namely the dose of ameliorant was 2 tons.ha-1 with LPMKS fertilizer 2 tons.ha-1, which was 29.73 strands. The ameliorant treatment had an effect on the variable weight of pods per plant, and the LPMKS treatment had a significant effect on the variable age of harvest at a dose of 6 ton.ha-1, the number of pods per plant at a dose of 6 ton.ha-1, and the number of pithy pods at a dose of 6 ton.ha. -1.
