Abstract

Globalization has changed higher education institutions to improve quality and competitiveness towards becoming a world class university (WCU). Therefore, the research objective is to determine WCU using the balanced scorecard (BSC) approach with 5 (five) perspectives). The research design is a qualitative approach. This research is a case study research, namely Darussalam Gontor University (UNIDA Gontor). Data analysis is inductive, with exploratory descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that in order to move towards WCU from the perspective of (1) organizational changes: research, it is necessary to increase international collaborative research and international publications, (2) human resource policies, it is necessary to increase the number of lecturers with professor and doctoral degrees. (3) academic programs, need to be pioneered by internationally accredited study programs, (4) Internal Governance, UNIDA Gontor has established itself as a millennial Islamic boarding school campus and is designated as a campus that implements the best integrity zone at PTKI and (5) Financial, UNIDA Gontor needs to develop and explore resources -funding sources from domestic and foreign partners to strengthen internationalization programs towards WCU.

Abstract

This research aims to describe competitive advantage which focuses on competitive strength, competitive area, and competitive results in improving the quality of Islamic education at SMAS Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Ngunut Tulungagung. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field study type. The method used in this research is descriptive with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out in three stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and verification of findings. Checking the validity of data in research uses extension and persistence of participation. The results of this research show that (1) the competitive strength of SMAS Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Ngunut Tulungagung refers to its advantages and differentiates it from competitors, thereby providing a competitive advantage in the market. (2) The competitive area includes certain market segments or the entire market targeted by educational institutions. (3) Then the competitive results are reflected in the institution's ability to attract prospective students, provide quality education, and meet the needs of students and parents effectively.

Abstract

Teachers are expected to understand current professional standards and receive the necessary training to become more professional. Teachers may receive support or training to improve their professional skills through supervision. Organized training called supervision is intended to help teachers and other school personnel perform their duties well. The five main topics include (1) the definition of non-directive supervision; (2) the stages of implementing non-directive supervision; (3) the application of non-directive supervision; (4) efforts to improve the competence of teacher professionalism; (5) non-directive supervision in improving the competence of teacher professionalism. This research was written using library research methodology or literature study, which involves collecting information from books and journals on non-directive supervision strategies to improve teacher professionalism. The results showed that (1) indirect problem solving where the supervisor does not directly point out the problem, (2) the following non-directive stages; listening, providing reinforcement, explaining, presenting, and solving problems, (3) this non-directive supervision approach first listens to the problems faced by the teacher and then gives reinforcement related to the problem, (4) can be attempted by achieving the four teacher competencies as proclaimed by the regulations of the Minister of National Education, (5) the role of the principal is considered very important where teachers become professional there are various approaches, one of which is a non-directive approach.

Abstract

The aim of writing this work is to analyze visionary leadership in increasing the competitiveness of transformative Islamic education. The library research method involves collecting and analyzing various relevant literature, such as books, scientific journals, articles and research reports that discuss visionary leadership, Islamic education and educational competitiveness. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach to identify key findings, connect theory with practice, and develop recommendations for effective implementation in the context of Islamic education. The results of this work show that the low ranking of education in Indonesia reflects the gap in educational quality and requires effective and sustainable intervention. Improving teacher quality through training and certification programs is very important to increase educational competitiveness. Visionary leadership is needed to direct and motivate teachers, staff and students in achieving better educational goals. School principals must be able to formulate and communicate a realistic and strategic vision, as well as adapt to changes and future challenges. The government and education stakeholders need to work together to improve the quality of teachers and ICT facilities in schools. Support from parents and collaboration between government, schools and industry are very important to ensure education in Indonesia is relevant to current developments and community needs.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions need to change the old perspective with a new paradigm. One of them is with educational production corporations. A new form of organizing and managing education that integrates several aspects, namely academic, economic, social and business without losing the important meaning of education itself which is mutually beneficial and supportive. It is hoped that this paradigm will strengthen the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions. The purpose of this article is to examine the challenges and opportunities of educational production corporations in increasing the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions. This research uses library research. The data collection technique used is literature collection, namely collecting library materials related to the research object. This research uses a library research approach. The data collection technique used is literature collection. This research involves collecting data or scientific papers that are relevant to the research object from various library sources. The results of the research show that the challenge for educational institutions in increasing their competitiveness in the era of independent learning is by using the concept of educational production corporations, namely; a) demand for superior educational production and services, in line with needs, and able to compete in the global market; b) minimal human, financial and infrastructure resources in managing the education sector; c) maintaining harmony between academic, social and economic interests in the context of educational business. Production corporations in the education sector as an effort to increase the competitiveness of transformative Islamic educational institutions can be realized one way by analyzing opportunities from the superiority of this concept.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the role of leadership and the capabilities of a leader in implementing marketing management roles in Islamic educational institutions. The emergence of new educational institutions has created phenomena in the education sector. The forms and approaches to education are becoming more diverse and complex. Traditional entities are developing existing educational institutions, non-educational businesses, and even educational providers from abroad. Objectively, society finds it increasingly challenging to choose educational institutions. Education management becomes crucial, where the growth and development of institutions are influenced by leadership's ability to recognize the external environment to create effective strategies to compete while maintaining the essence of education itself. The research method used is library research. The research findings indicate that effective marketing strategies for Islamic educational institutions include maximizing their resources, promoting Islamic values, and utilizing information technology in marketing. Additionally, Islamic educational institutions should consider the needs and profiles of prospective students and foster good relationships with the community and local partnerships. From this research, a leader who can act as a driving force within their institution will establish a distinct identity and attract Islamic education customers to their institution. Therefore, Islamic educational institutions must continually develop appropriate and effective marketing strategies while considering market developments and student needs.

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat persaingan antar lembaga pendidikan mengakibatkan setiap institusi harus dapat mengelola institusinya secara profesional, seperti layaknya sebuah perusahaan. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menjadi bagian penting bagi proses pengelolaan tersebut. Salah satu keunggulan tersebut berupa peningkatan layanan dengan konsep Manajemen Hubungan Pelanggan atau Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan memfokuskan untuk melihat bentuk pelaksanaan CRM di SMP AL-HUDA Kota Kediri. Pada pelaksanaanya SMP AL-HUDA telah menerapkan CRM dengan menggunakan tipe strategic CRM dengan mengacu a.) produk orieted melalui program unggulan yang dimiliki dan pemantauan secara rinci dalam keseharian peserta didik ataupun para guru melalui JIBAS; b.) sales orieted melalui pengadaan olipiade serta adanya transparasi yang dapat dinilai secara mandiri oleh masyarakat; c.) analytical CRM, yang mana memfokuskan pengumpulan data-data, informasi terkait pelanggan yang dituangkan melalui aplikasi JIBAS untuk memudahkan bertransaksi dan mengetahui kebutuhan pelanggan serta membuat perencanaan program yang dibutuhkan pelanggan dan calon pelanggan selanjutnya.

Abstract

Organizational culture in educational institutions plays a vital role in creating an environment that supports the learning processes of students and their character development. This research aims to explore how the actualization of ethical values, such as honesty, responsibility, and mutual respect, can shape the effectiveness of organizational culture. The method used is library research, which involves in-depth analysis of various literature sources related to organizational ethics and educational management practices. The research findings indicate that the consistent application of ethical values in daily activities within educational institutions not only strengthens cooperation among staff but also enhances trust and commitment among all members of the organization. Additionally, this study finds that leaders who prioritize ethical values can create a conducive atmosphere for innovation and collaboration. Therefore, this research provides valuable insights for educational managers to further integrate ethical values into every operational aspect, aiming to create a more effective and harmonious organizational culture, which in turn can improve the quality of education provided

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan aktualisasi nilai-nilai etik dalam membentuk keefektifan budaya organisasi di lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan pendekatan studi kasus lembaga pendidikan yang berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai etik dalam praktik sehari-hari mereka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September - Oktober 2024. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa madrasah secara aktif mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai etik dalam berbagai program seperti studi kampus, Khotmil Quran, dan kegiatan silaturahim. Inisiatif tersebut berhasil memotivasi siswa dan memperkuat karakter serta keterampilan sosial mereka. Kolaborasi dengan institusi eksternal dan kegiatan outbond juga mendukung pembelajaran yang partisipatif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa MAS Abu Darrin Kab. Bojonegoro telah menciptakan budaya organisasi yang efektif, menghasilkan siswa berprestasi yang berakhlak baik dan siap berkontribusi positif di masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the innovation of the marketing mix of educational services in increasing competitiveness and customer value at SMP Ar Rahmat. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that SMP Ar Rahmat has innovated the marketing mix in several aspects, such as product innovation, price, promotion, and place. The innovation is directed to provide added value for customers and increase student and parent satisfaction. This research provides advice for SMP Ar Rahmat in innovating the marketing mix, such as improving service quality, expanding the reach of promotions, offering more varied educational programs, providing financial assistance, and collaborating with educational institutions or companies. This research can provide input for decision makers in the world of education to innovate the marketing mix as an effort to increase competitiveness and customer value in schools.
