This article explains the dualism of the role of kiai pesantren (Islamic boarding school) in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera, as ulama and umara, which was later critically elaborated in this research on its implications to the pesantren education. Substantively, this research was inspired by the results of the study of the authors of the 2018 regional elections and ahead of the 2019 elections and presidential elections. The method of this writing can be categorized as qualitative research. The analysis in this paper is carried out on the basis of the concepts of space and field, especially to examine how far the kiai play religious teachings which they believe in social and political behavior in the midst of people’s lives. The results of this study indicate that the rise of kiai who are involved in the world of politics is full of intrigue and conflict among kiai-politicians. One important thing revealed in the involvement of kiai in the political world was that kiai were too close to power, so they used the pesantren for their political interests and made it an instrument for power. For a kiai of pesantren plus politicians, they should be able to carry out their two professions sincerely and istiqomah. If not, the influence of the kiai becomes meaningless, when his authority is deemed to have deviated from what he should have. As a result, many pesantren were abandoned and their development was very alarming. Because of differences in perspective in politics that lead to feuds between the interfaith and the pesantren that they foster.

This article discusses that contemporary pesantren education, not only changes the socio-cultural base and knowledge of santri, but also affects Muslims as a whole. Therefore, major changes made by kyai to pesantren institutions today are not an alternative choice that is crossed the road, but is an accumulation of the values of life of pesantren whose history, without leaving the soul of sincerity or typical traditions. The impact of the transformation of pesantren on the inculcation of the spirit of sincerity in pesantren has shifted. This type of research is field research. That is using the object of research as a source of data acquisition or information. This study found that the impact of the transformation of pesantren on the inculcation of the soul of sincerity in pesantren has shifted. currently pesantren in bengkulu province began to shift in modern cultures are synonymous with luxury and consumptive. Pesantren in instilling Five Spirit (ruh) need to be open and flexible to the demands and developments of world, but still provide filter for its basic value do not fade (Islamic value). Pesantren does not only transform the outside (purpose, curriculum, method, management system and management of pesantren) but also need to wisely transform the depth as well (sincere values in pesantren).

This article aims to reveal that the learning of Islamic education and scientific-based character is an attempt to neutralize the assumptions about the inability of teachers to develop students to their full potential. Likewise, the assumptions about the learning of Islamic education and manners only have ritual, ethical and moral dimensions so that students can verbally understand the teachings of Islam and are skilled at implementing them, but they do not appreciate the depth of their meaning. This research is qualitative; the informants are religious teachers and students through interview and observation techniques. The research results show that implementing Islamic education and character education through a scientific approach explores the field to find concrete examples of how to empathize with others and be devoted to parents and teachers. Furthermore, learning with a scientific approach, especially on students' character matter, has promising implications for shaping student morals for the better. It is because students are required to practice directly the phenomena that arise from the existing learning material. Therefore, experiments carried out through observation and making simple reports and then discussed in class groups are practical approaches to remember, understand,  and practice the messages in the material delivered.

Religious teachers are very important in the moral formation of students, because morals are not enough just to learn, without any strategy to form a moral person. Cultivating the values of good morality have been familiarized in daily life, the habit will be something light. Emotional rational approach is assumed to be able to reduce the number of student delinquency in this problem. Emotional rational approach is an attempt to approach by improving through thinking patterns and eliminating irrational thinking patterns. So this study aims to reveal the effect of emotive rational approaches by religious teachers on student behavior at school. This research method uses quantitative methods, the sample of which is students and teachers of Religion in State Senior High School 4 of Bengkulu City. The results showed that the emotive rational approach affected the behavior of students in State Senior High School 4 of Bengkulu City. Proven by t test calculation of -21,897. While the Sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected, so Ha states that there is an influence of emotive rational approach to student behavior in State Senior High School 4 of Bengkulu City.

Globalization has been started. At all quarters of the world, societies become depend on each other in all aspects, such as culture, economic, and politic. Mainly at cultural aspects, the limit of cultural boundaries have gone. This era is a challange for education world. Therefore, this article focused on how moral values become concernt educational process, because it is one of education goals. To prepare human who hold moral values in the globalization era, exactly the educational institution can not exit alone, even though it still hold the main role. All societies, mainly family, must prepare human source who have moral integrity. The study aims to determine the strategy used in forming religious characters on the deaf children in Elemantary Special School. A qualitative method was used where the data taken from observation, interview and document analysis. The result showed that the learning strategy of Islamic religious education in the development of morals for children with special needs in special schools is by implementing expository strategy, adding hours of study using the habituation method. The finding also showed that the supporting factors in the learning process to form moral guidance are the involvement of school’s principal who is very concern on the development of students’ morals; the teachers who have great patience in dealing with children with special needs. Then, it was also found that there were some inhibiting factors that faced by the school. They were on the absence of a special curriculum for children with special needs, Islamic education teachers who are not teachers who are graduates of special service schools, as well as the lack of supporting facilities as learning media, doing the learning process run monotonously.

Child care pattern must be done with good education, if done wrongly, it will have an impact that is not good for the development of soul and body, and of course also will impact on the surrounding environment. This can be seen from some phenomenon that recently rampant happened. Child care pattern should be done with a good education, if done wrongly, it will have an impact that is not good for the development of the soul and body, and of course also will have an impact on the surrounding environment. Regarding self-preservation, Islam has actually given a warning to humans. The role that humans must perform consists of two paths, namely the horizontal path and the second vertical path. When viewed from various forms of parenting, in essence almost the same. For example autopsy, over protection, over discipline. This article is aimed to analyze the need for handling social conflict through the planting of tolerance values in multicultural societies that in line with statutory provisions. It is a socio-religious study that, to some extent, applies a legal approach. A library study was conducted by collecting data and information from textbooks, scientific journals, website contents. The legal analysis was based on principles and norms contained in legislation and regulations. It applies Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study suggested that planting tolerance values ??is a grand and noble concept that would become an organic part of Indonesia. Tolerance is functioned as a guardian, safeguard, peace-maker, and unifier communication and interaction to realize good relations between community members. Besides, the law on handling of social conflict has covered the mechanism to address this matter by means of conflict prevention, cessation of conflicts, and post-conflict recovery.

AbstractThis article analyzes the importance of preserving the local cultural values of the archipelago in addition to facing the negative impacts of social change caused by globalization. The phenomenon that society now faces is a very basic social and cultural change. Acceleration of information wave globalization bring significant changes in society, both at the level of surface structure (attitude and behavior patterns) and deep structure (value system, life view, philosophy and belief). Changes occur because of inter-state cultural contacts that are interpreted by the dialectic of new values with old values that dominate each other, which allows homogenization and neoliberalization in all aspects of life including local cultural values that have been the guidance of society. This condition gives rise to spit and a sense of value because society is more glorifying modern value by marginalizing transcendental value. As a result there are various forms of deviation of moral values that are reflected in the style, style, and lifestyle of society. Therefore, the strengthening and inheritance of local cultural values needs to be done intensively in the younger generation.AbstrakArtikel ini menganalisis pentingnya pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya lokal nusantara selain untuk menghadapi berbagai dampak negatif perubahan sosial yang diakibatkan globalisasi. Gejala yang dialami masyarakat kini adalah perubahan sosial budaya yang sangat mendasar. Akselerasi informasi gelombang globalisasi membawa perubahan cukup signifikan pada masyarakat, baik pada tataran surface structure (sikap dan pola-pola perilaku) dan deep structure (sistem nilai, pandangan hidup, filsafat dan keyakinan). Perubahan terjadi karena kontak budaya antar negara yang dimaknai adanya dialektika nilai-nilai baru dengan nilai-nilai lama yang saling mendominasi, yang memungkinkan terjadinya homogenisasi dan neoliberalisasi pada seluruh aspek kehidupan termasuk nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang selama ini menjadi pegangan masyarakat. Kondisi ini menimbulkan spit dan kegamangan nilai karena masyarakat lebih mengagungkan nilai modern dengan memarginalkan nilai transcendental. Akibatnya terjadi berbagai bentuk penyimpangan nilai moral yang tercermin dalam corak, gaya, dan pola hidup masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) dalam pembelajaran di SD Negeri 52 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yakni proses pengkajian masalah pembelajaran di dalam kelas melalui refleksi diri dan upaya memecahkannya dengan cara melakukan berbagai tindakan yang terencana dalam situasi nyata serta menganalisis setiap pengaruh dari tindakan tersebut.Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi subyek adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 52 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran Resource Based Learning (RBL) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas V di SD Negeri 52 Kota Bengkulu. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari uraian berikut yaitu proses kegiatan aktivitas belajar siswa terlihat meningkat dari setiap siklusnya.
